Chocolate Cheeks!
◈ Of-course Rashta's death affected Sovieshu, considering his daughter was left to him completely who he wasn't sure how to take care of..ad with Rashta's wishes, Sovieshu had to get Ian back from Libetti Rimwell, before leaving them as they want..so two infants to take care of, it wasn't easy...no, on top of that, being an emperor took a toll on Sovieshu.
◈ But surprisingly, he met you at one of Ian's banquet, with the rumor that Ian was hidden due to bad health like Rashta, as he took care of both the children..But of-course as fate would have it, Ian ran and hid in a gorgeous person's arms and from there..Sovieshu got a new spouses, YOU!
◈ Of-course, you'd have to take care of the children a bit, despite them being illegitimate, with a newborn Gloreym and Ian and he felt so much better, Of-course Rashta holds a place in his heart..but You have your own place.
◈ He would compare you at times to Rashta, but reminds himself you both are different people and honestly you're happy to have him heal a bit. Days are often spend with lavish gifts, cuddling with the two babies who coo and babble to you 24/7 and seeing the two bond weirdly close.
◈ God the two have the chubbiest cheeks wit the most contagious laughs, no wonder Rashta was easily loved, you'd realize. As you'd comfort one of the babies in the middle of the night after one of them woke up crying, waking the other too while Sovieshu's comforting the other inside the room.
◈ The kids cling to you, nothing's off limits. Seriously, even as growing up, the two cling to you and you'd try to tell them about Rasta as much as you'd be able to if you were close with her, the public's opinion and stuff. Sovieshu always smiles, seeing you and the two together.
◈ Another thing is, Sovieshu gets a bit petty when he doesn't get enough attention, so aside from children, you have an emperor clinging to you as well, good luck. But all three are cute, so you're lucky.
◈ With a Sovieshu comes great responsibilities and that comes in the form of hyperactive cuties with fluffy silverish-blonde hair and adorable faces who look like angels who have an obsession with shiny things like little crows, as they continue to cling to your dresses and follow you everywhere like little ducklings.
◈ Sovieshu adores children, as it was stated in the novel somewhere, and so I do think that maybe after Ian and Gloreym grow a few years older and become more manageable, he'd like to have more children with you, one that looks like you now! Your hair colour, your smile or even your temper, s the world could see his love even as years passed, like they saw his love for Rashta through Ian and Gloreym.
◈ He showers you with incredible gifts and always makes sure you enjoy yourself aside from caring for his kids, he didn't want you to go through the depressing motions of taking care of children that Rashta suffered briefly after the rumors of Gloreym not being his daughter...and you settle well into your role as an empress if you take up the position.
◈ Overall he's an incredibly person who adores you and keeps you safe in his heart, though Rashta occupies a bit f it, you also share it with her, and you did not mind it as Sovieshu moves on and it sometimes feels like Rashta also moves on with her afterlife of the breeze as if someone is happily running with ribbons in their hair..

Why Navier isn't a good person.

Despite what the title says, this isn't a post dedicated to hating on Navier, it's about what she is as a person when the rose tinted lenses are removed.
The remarried empress is always reminding the reader that Navier is embodiment of perfection in every aspect because she is "good" and "righteous" She doesn't let her emotions or trauma get in the way of what is "right" and she only wants the best for her empires, you'd have to be crazy to hate a woman who just wants peace and stability for "everyone" several men adore her for her gentle coldness and will not stand for any insubordinate women who are jealous of the perfect empress.
And while Navier technically is a good empress, its because she's only a good empress for the nobles.
Or more specifically, the nobles who are on her side, which to be fair is most of them.
I know the entire remarried empress tumblr has practically been turned into a hate pit for the manhwa but I'd still like to make a full essay about in more detail.
First off with the biggest elephant in the room
1: Slavery

Okay we all already knew this one but I will say it again.
A big excuse for Navier and the abolishment of slavery is that it's a problem with the church and she can't do anything about it.
While this does hold a lot of ground, remarried empress has never cared about real historical accuracy before and it feels more like the church argument is used to justify why Navier was empress of a slave adjacent empire to begin with while also validating her beliefs of Rashta rather that challenging them.
The church has allowed Navier to remarry into the empire without questions in the middle of her divorce trial, the grand priest even gives them his blessing. There's a clear favoritism there.
Navier has also prevented/made acts that would normally get her in hot water with any church in monarchies history. Her existence alone has prevented a war between the east and west, she still managed to negotiate a deal with whitemond despite her brother cheating on the princess of whitemond, Charlotte, with her lady in waiting by handing Charlotte off to marry Kaufman, she's pardoned a viscount who tried to assassinate Rashta while she was pregnant and faced almost no backlash, and her daughter became the empress of an empire that she doesn't even have the rights too.
So if Navier can do all these things that would normally put her on blast in any real monarchy in history by at least one person, without ANY consequences then the excuse that she can't abolish slavery no longer matters since it's clear that the plot would make room for her if she ever decided to abolish it.
But excluding how and why she could abolish slavery. What about her views on slavery? I mean it's one thing to be unable to abolish something but what about what she thinks of slaves?
This is a little trickier considering the writers were very careful to make sure Naviers views on slavery were kept vague. At worst she just doesn't care but I believe she supports it, mostly because she benefits from it along with her own misguided view on slavery being used as a good form of justice against criminals.
In episode 2, Navier already finds a justification of slavery to the readers: That it's used for criminals who can eventually gain their status as commoners back and how trying to escape would be their fault since it gets them sentenced as permanent slaves, despite this she never finds a justification for why children are also enslaved for their family members crimes, this idea of family members being enslaved seems to also be encouraged within the story since Heinrey was viewed as in the right for doing so against the remaining Zemensia family.
She referred to Rashta at first as "The slave" Doesn't seem to have qualms of her friends ridiculing Rashta for being a slave, is only concerned that Sovieshu will still love Rashta even if she is a slave, befriended slave owners, and generally doesn't give a damn about slavery until it negativiely affects her which even then, doesn't lead to any reflecting on her beliefs and instead is used to further justify why slaves should just sit and accept the punishment not fitting their crimes.
"But what about Navier in the side story? She accepted Rashta as her attendant without question!"
While Navier may believe slavery fine as long as it's used for "criminals" that doesn't mean she dislikes all slaves.
I'm really sorry that I have to ruin the fun of the side story but for the sake of this post, I must.
The only reason that Navier really likes Rashta in the side story is because Rashta is now her servant instead of the woman cucking her. Navier basically takes Rashta away from her original owners and let's her live in the palace as a new maid/lady in waiting but they never really say what Navier did with Rashtas bill of sale, for all we know Navier is the owner of the bill of sale and Rashta is still a slave, she's just a slave under a "good master" now. I won't be straight up accusing Navier of this as fact since as far as I can remember at least, I don't recall it ever being said of what she did with it but it is a possibility.
If you're still confused than just imagine Rashta as one of those maids in most OI where their only personality is being a cheerleader for the main leads.
2: Her biases

Navier may be all about justice and everyone in the room getting a chance to speak but she doesn't exactly hold her allies to the same standards.
For obvious examples we have Heinrey and Lebetti. Navier is pretty willing to prioritize the perpetrator being honest with her over the actual crime. She finds out for herself that Heinrey has been stealing the eastern empires mana the entire time but she quickly forgets about it once Heinrey makes a big show about how much he regrets it and in the end, not only does the only mage who gets any mana back is also coincidentally one of her favorites, but I'm pretty sure she ends up benefiting from it as well.
When Heinrey slaughters and enslaved the rest of the innocent Zemensias and their servants, she doesn't hold him accountable and instead COMFORTS him by insisting that the criminals got what they deserved and that he shouldn't let it burden him.
As for Lebetti, Naviers initial reason for befriending her was literally just to tell Rashta in a clever but fucked up way that she wants nothing to do with her and would rather become friends with her abuser because she dislikes her that much for ruining her life. Navier is aware of this relationship very well and even tells Lebetti to call her "sister" to spite Rashta.
When Kosair tries to poison Rashta in hopes of causing her to miscarry Glorym, Navier not only completely dismisses it but also makes the situation about her by shifting the main problem being about how Sovieshu could find fault in her for it rather than the actual victim who nearly lost her baby thanks to her psychopath brother.
(BTW, since lots of people like to justify Heinrey murdering an entire bloodline with "It was how they did it at the time" then by that logic, Naviers entire family should have been executed and enslaved for Kosairs crimes)
And as I've said already: While Navier doesn't really care about the innocent people Heinrey killed without a trial, she sure does seem to give a shit about "injustice" when viscount landre is being sentenced for trying to kill Rashta, her enemy.
In fact, even when Navier isn't making any decisions of her own, it's pretty clear that any friend of hers is allowed to do whatever they want because in the end, Navier in some shape or form, will save them from consequences.
3: Not every intention she has is really good

A friend and I discussed this before and we realized that this was manipulative then what first meets the eye. Tbf this one is a little more of a reach than actual facts but it's something I could see Navier doing in the name of what she thinks is justice.
Navier hides a letter containing currency in the millions range for Rashta to use to take care of the empire. This sounds like Navier still being good hearted to Rashta despite everything and the latter just being an ungrateful idiot but here's the thing.
The letter and money was hidden inside of a chair.
Why is that important? Well, if this money was absolutely meant for good intentions for the empire, why would Navier just bank on the hope that Rashta would notice a seemingly inconspicuous chair. Hell, why would someone as intelligent as Navier who has known Rashta for so long even think that she would use the money for good?
It could be a writing flaw
Or it could be that the intentions were not good. It was designed from the very beginning to take advantage of Rashtas impulsiveness to show the eastern people just how unfit she is to be an empress, the money being hidden in a chair was so if Rashta never found it, it would act as a failsafe
Now there is a bit of a flaw to this accusation considering Navier later tried to tell Rashta to make some quick changes to her large donations with Naviers money before it was too late but let's be real. The story is CONSTANTLY proping Navier up as incredibly witty and clever, it would not shock me if she just either wanted to remind Rashta that she's already being a bad empress, or if she needed an easy way out of any controversy down the line by acting like it was never planned while also putting herself in a good light. Idk but I personally think the latter is true.
conclusion

Let's circle back to that whole" Not meant to be hating on Navier" part because I'm sure this sounds like a list of reasons to despise the female lead.
While these actions do make Navier a bad person or at best, a morally grey character. These are not what I would consider traits of a badly written CHARACTER, or at least, when these traits are acknowledged as bad.
What makes Navier a bad character is that she is meant to be cheered on as she's making these decisions that hurt other people or ignoring those hurt people because they did something to attack her position beforehand.
These are all things that most queens and empresses in history would do to maintain their power, women in those eras couldn't exactly target the men without a lot of planning and even luck regardless of how socially adept they are but they could easily knock down other women if they knew how to play the game.
Queen Mary I had around 300 protestants burned at the stake to revert England back to Christianity, Elizabeth I executed even more people than Mary but is still remembered fondly as "the good Tudor queen", Wu Zetian had her political rivals assassinated even though she already won against them, and Marie Antoinette, while not being completely evil, was still perfectly fine with people starving on the streets.
of course, Navier never executed anyone but she still did everything she did to secure power and live on the rest of her life as an empress.
If Navier was allowed to actually be a little evil from time to time, with her actions not being justified and even called out by others as well, I think she would be on par with other say, Penelope Eckart who while not having perfect writing, is still written better because her actions are acknowledged by the narrative as what fucks her over along with circumstances.
Instead, Naviers problems are all seen as entirely circumstantial and it's presented as her being wronged by everything and deserving of all the best things.
Btw: If Navier were an antagonist then this would be the panel where she gets revealed as the twist villain

It just reminds me so much of Rashtas evil smirk from episode 1.

"You look tired..." Sovieshu looked up from his works and saw his lover, [Name] leaning against the frame door. He sighed and massaged his head. "Yes... work has been piling up more than usual.." Sovieshu said as [Name] chuckled and stood up, closing the door behind him.
He walked up to Sovieshu and stood beside him, his office was loaded with a ton of papers and [Name] couldn't help but feel sorry for his own lover. Seeing him work through the night without a wink of sleep as his office continue to pile up with work.
His hand worked Sovieshu shoulders before he snapped his fingers, Sovieshu looked as the papers started to float and pens being taken out of his drawers.
Sovieshu looked at [Name] who only smiled at him, copy of him started to appear and do his work. His eyes widened at what [Name] was doing. "You need some rest, don't worry love. I made sure they think just like you, so any decision you are in favor or not, will be done." [Name] said.
"Your majesty! [Name]!" The two looked up and saw Rashta with a wide smile on her face. "I have baked some cookies for us! Would you like to try it?" Rashta said, with her hands clasp together. [Name] chuckled and nodded. "Of course, shall we?" He said as he looked at Sovieshu.
"B-" "No buts Sovieshu, you need this rest." [Name] took the pen from his grasp and dragged Sovieshu out of his chair, they got out of the office and closed the door. Leaving the paperwork to [Name] magic, Rashta quickly went back to the kitchen as [Name] set up their usual spots in the garden.
Sovieshu sat down on the chair and began to feel [Name] hand on his shoulders, massaging it gently. He let out a sigh of relief and relaxed under [Name] hold, he looked up at [Name] who looked back at him with a smile.
Rashta came back with a few maids trailing behind her and a tray of cookies in a plate in her hands. "Smells good.." [Name] commented as Rashta giggled and smiled. She placed the plates of cookies on the table as well as the other sweet treats and tea.
The maids left as Rashta happily ate the dessert, [Name] hummed in satisfaction while eyeing Sovieshu who looks like he was still deep in thought and he knew what was on his mind.
"Relax Sovieshu.." The black haired snapped out of his thoughts and looked at his boyfriend. "You have been working non stop for the past 3 days... without an ounce of sleep too." [Name] said as Rashta hummed and nodded, agreeing with [Name] words.
"[Name] is right, your majesty. You have been cooped in your office without a break.." Rashta said, looking worriedly at Sovieshu who chuckled and nodded.
"I know... I know.. you two have been nagging me to take a break.." "[Name] gets all mopey and sad like a puppy for the past 3 days.." Rashta said as [Name] face gets flustered at her words, reminding him of how he has been acting ever since Sovieshu has been working non stop.
"D-Don't say it.." "But it's true though."
Rashta smiled but [Name] could see the teasing hint at her voice and face, she always liked to see tease the two about each other.
Sovieshu chuckled and ate the cupcake, as Rashta continue to tease [Name] who was embarrassed and trying to stop Rashta from saying anything more.
He never liked it whenever someone was teasing him about his clinginess since [Name] always like to portray himself as a serious man, not some sort of a clingy puppy.
[Name] forced a cookie in Rashta mouth to keep her shut who only giggled in response, he looked at Sovieshu who was smiling at him.
"Don't say anything about it..." "Alright... alright..."

Don't worry I don't mind the late response
Stuff I said about Remarried Empress is all about the Manhwa, I haven't read the novel but I do hear that despite some major differences, the Manhwa comic isn't that different and I think the comic made a personal gig to make Rashta as bad as possible but when you think deeply, it's super unreasonable
My friend and I discussed it before, apparently some fans hate Rashta cuz she's tasteless in fashion, because of her wedding dress in the manhwha and ofc they love to compare her and Navier to insult Rashta more, I'm not sure if this is in any of the adaptations, I heard about how the nobles dislike Rashta for her bad fashion sense, which although I'm not sure it's entirely canon, but I can see it happening cuz the nobles never really like Rashta (Anyone not a commonly in this didn't really buy Rashta's story that she's not a slave but they didn't say anything probably bcuz it's not their business, Sovieshu turned a blind eye to that so why should they care?) so ofc they would criticize her on everything, my friend told me that no one have any right to talk bad about Rashta's wedding gown or her fashion sense, bcuz apparently Rashta is wrong for wanting a extravagant wedding gown while it's normal for Navier even though hers was said to have thousands of gems
This work is ripened with double standards you see
(I’ll add some of the dresses Rashta wears in the novel at the end of the post for you to check❤️.)
Her wedding dress in the webtoon IS very ugly for my taste, plus, in the novel Rashta was described as looking like a “fairytale princess” when she tried it on (This was before she added all the accessories that “allegedly” made her look like a Christmas tree). And that’s why I redesigned it once.
(Not saying my version is better or anything, I just worked with the description of it being like a fairytale princess dress and what I find pretty)
The nobles hated/disliked Rashta mostly because, as Sovieshu said, the nobles often opposed having a commoner as an empress. Rashta also told Johanson, the journalist and Delice’s brother, that she would side with the commoners no matter what once she ascended as empress. So it wasn’t merely because of her bad eye in fashion.
I also dislike how Rashta was ridiculed by the fandom for wanting an extravagant dress for her wedding, but rooting for Navier when she wore the whole Kingdom/Empire mine supply of diamonds for her dress (F*cking armor).
Rashta's dresses from the novel art:

Being the daughter of Rashta

Warnings: Mentions of stillbirth, trauma and slavery.
-You were born while Rashta was still enslave through her relationship with another slave. Because you were nota product of his family, Lotteshu did not bother with this new birth. To him you were just another slave. Rashta was happy to be a mother. Although she could not provide for you very well she did her best. She dreamed of providing you and herself with a better life. Sometimes she would take you to see pictures of the Empress and tell stories about princesses. When there was no work she would take you out to pick flowers and play in the sun. Eventually, she decided that it was time to plot your escape.
-The estate was quiet as there was not much to do. While everyone else was either in their rooms or going about their business you mother took you upstairs. Normally you were not on the second floor, but it was a secret. Your mother would sneak you upstairs to look on pictures of princesses, queens and empresses. 'This is Empress Navier. Isn't she pretty.' Rashta held you up to the painting of a golden haired empress. Although you were little it was clear the woman was very beautiful. Then your mom would tell stories of princesses who had happy easy lives. And one day, she promised, you too would be like those princesses. Eventually the fun stopped when there were footsteps. Quickly Rashta took you and hid behind curtains. Someone came in and then quickly left. The pair of you let out a sigh of relief.
-When Rashta fled she took you with her. When Sovieshu found the pair of you Rashta claimed you were her sister. Although Sovieshu was suspicious his infatuation of Rashta caused him not to think too deeply. Afterwards your life will change. Rashta is determined you should have everything you desire. However, Rashta will still insist you sleep desire her (when Sovieshu is not there). Rashta will insist you be with her at all times when she is not busy fulfilling her duties as a mistress. This will normally be in the form of tea parties, walks in the garden and sitting in on your lessons. Unfortunately you will not have very many friends. The noble children would not play with you and Rashta felt it was now beneath you to play with common children. While Rashta may mean well her care can be stiffeling.
-Sitting with your mother on a blanket you picked up another cookie. Now that your mother was a very wealthy (through means you could not truly understand), you had the best of everything. There were a few maids, but your mother would not allow them to join. 'Why can't I go play?' Wistfully you looked to the distance were several noble girls were playing. 'Because they do not like us.' This confused you, it was not as if you had done anything to them. 'Why?' You asked. 'Because some people are very cruel.' Your mother looked to the distance, somewhere far away. 'What about the others?' Rashta was still looking far, far away. 'My maid has two daughter-' Her attention was brought back to earth. 'Absolutely not.' You did not press any further.
- Completely new wardrobe for you. Rashta will pick out lots of pinks and blues for you to wear. She convinces Sovieshu to let you have a selection of jewelry to have. Rashta will make sure you have everything she was denied. Your life will be like that of princesses from fairytales. When but busy with lessons or her duties (or plotting) Rashta is with you. It irritates your tutor when Rashta bursts in and rushes you off to another activity. Sometimes these are quite silly things like hide-and-seek. Your days are spent playing, not working.
-Giggling through the halls, you were being chased by Rashta. Most of the court was out so this left most of this wing of the castle empty, expect servants. Your mother easily could have caught up, but she was letting you have the lead. The swishing of her dress was just behind you announcing she was close. Dashing around a corner you slipped behind curtains before your mother could. She came around the corner, and paused. For a moment she paused. 'Y/n?' There was a touch of worry in her voice that made you jump out. 'Ma!' Rashta gave a great jump, giggled, and swooped down on you. Covering your face with kisses Rashta crushed you in a great big hug.
Notes: Had this one in my drafts for a while now so I'm glad to get it out. I chose to leave this piece here because otherwise it would be far too long and depressing for this type of one-shot. Maybe I'll do some for Remarried Empress scenarios with a child reader (platonic ofc). If any of you have ideas let me know!

Finally finished The Remarried Empress webtoon. I didn't like it. Rant incoming.
That quote of "I don't hate X, I hate the person that wrote them" are my feelings for Rashta from The Remarried Empress. In any other webtoon, she would be the HEROINE. People would be praising her or cheering for her or demanding she get a happy ending. Yes, even with her crap personality and the awful things she does out of increasing paranoia and fear.
Persephone from "Lore Olympus" is legit Rashta wirh plot armor. Both are young, naive women who gain the attention of older, wealthy men. Both have no concern for said man's significant other. Both given jobs they're not qualified for what so ever. Both become power mad post marriage and abuse others with said power. Made worse because where Rashta's behavior has sympathetic explanations (she's a fucking slave), Persephone is a nepo baby heiress pampered by both Hades and the narrative.
Another example is Uraynia from "Maid to Queen," a naive idiot who seduces the king and whose every action in the beginning is about survival and wanting a better life for herself. She does a lot of the same shit Rashta and Persephone did and is rewarded for it. And fans of the story, even the ones who call her annoying, STILL LIKE HER despite how she screwed over the queen (who was made incredibly villainess-esque to justify it all).
"Morality is a privilege" fits this too. In any other webtoon (that was written by a decent author), SOVIESHU would be the REAL villain. Taking a concubine is common practice in universe, but his backstory shows why HE is the problem for taking one. Then there's the part where Rashta has no power in the situation beyond what Sovieshu gives considering she's a woman of no social or financial standing AND IS A SLAVE! The story legit presents her options as "be a slave" or "be a concubine."
Now, the dumb and petty shit she does in the story are genuinely just that. She immediately tried to cozy up to Navier, she's selfish and impulsive to a fault. Like MANY webtoon heroines that are loved and praised. Her plot of being blackmailed by her former slave owner is, legit, classic webtoon heroine suffering, the trials she must endure for her happy ending. But the writer does their best to ensure she's hated despite being the sort of character people SHOULD sympathize with inspite of how awful she supposedly is (at least before the paranoia kicked in).
Make no mistake, I didn't particularly like her post reading. But I also didn't like Naiver either z in fact, I wish the webtoon followed Rashta more than it did Navier. She calls Rashta "hard to touch" for her work-disfigured hands and is, to me, far from the good person the narrative portrays her as.
Making the SLAVE steal Navier's husband makes no sense, I hate the writer so much because there is a REASON these types of stories typically have the villainess be someone of higher standing than the heroine/protagonist. It always feels like Navier is punching down.
I'm not saying they should've been friends. It makes sense why Navier took issue with Rashta and there's a reason most court intrigue stories sees the queen/empress targeting the concubines - they CAN'T go after the real villain of their story, so they go after another victim. But that is, again, why Rashta being a SLAVE while also being the villainess screws the webtoon over for me. Make her the daughter of a count or something, but a slave?
Again, "morality is a privilege," and is so heavily centered around Navier that the ONLY reason I finished both the webtoon and novel was because I was making my friend read something in exchange. Because Navier is the protagonist, the morality the writer wants us to judge other characters by is steeped in "protagonist-centered morality."
Rashta's original crime was lacking etiquette and crying, but that's because she's an illiterate SLAVE taken as a concubine by the literal emperor. Said emperor did nothing, NOTHING, to teach her about the new world she was in and didn't WANT to teach her - he legit says that he wants her to stay innocent and reliant on HIM. Sovieshu was the one instigating things at the start, not Rashta. Everyone around Rashta either scorned her or used her, she's brought into the story for the sole purpose of being hated.
She legit gets worse ONLY because of the horrible people she's surrounded by. Ergy literally and purposefully manipulates her into committing some of her most heinous crimes, but the narrative ignores it because "oh, Rashta's a homewrecker and Ergy is on Navier's side."
And Sovieshu? "Oh, he gets some punishment, but only for what he's done to Navier and LOOK, he loves Navier still and he's a villain, but he's not THAT bad if he loves her, right?" And Kosair who we're told is violent and crazy, yet him plotting to cause Rashta to miscarry ISN'T a factor into why we should hate him? How about Lebetti, the abusive slave owner that stole a baby to enslave!? Oh, but she loves Navier and Navier finds her ever so cute.
Or fucking Heinrey who sabotages the lives of mages, fully intended to invade Navier's country and kidnap her, and legit only loves his daughter because she looks like Navier and not his son because he doesn't look like Navier? All fine because he loves Navier! Nevermind that he ACTIVELY does all the same shit Rashta got dragged for AND WORSE!
My friend told me this was a story about an awesome empress, but she's legit a failure. In the easiest situations, Navier couldn't beat a literal slave because even as a concubine, Rashta IS STILL A SLAVE! Oh, but Navier is perfect in the narrative - bitch didn't even bother ending slavery despite running the empire in place of her lazy husband, but she's oh so kind and look, she can't just end slavery even if she IS the most beloved and adored empress ever had!

Watching the general populous of Webtoon hate Rashta from The Remarried Empress so violently, to the point of making her ridculing nickname a synonym for The Other Woman archetype, is really exhausting for a number of reasons, with the main one being that there are numerous female main leads of similar stories that fit that characterization of her more.
I love The Remarried Empress but the readers love to blame Rashta for EVERYTHING that happens in it, when at the end of the day, Rashta is just an antagonist. I know! Shocking! Rashta is not the driving force of the story! You know who is? SOVIESHU.
Sovieshu has always been the main villain. He is the one with all the power, he is the one who created a situation that pit these women against each other. Rashta was a slave because her father was a criminal, being Soveishu's mistress was a means of survival. Like, of course she sucks ass at scheming! She never had an education, and Sovieshu stalled on giving her one because he was ATTRACTED TO HER CHILDISH DEMEANOR. Soveishu liked Rashta because she was what Soveishu wanted from Navier and she sucked up to him in the ways he wanted! Because she needed to in order to survive! Her mistake was becoming paranoid, arrogant, and cruel to continuously provoke Navier, but that was also at the urging of another man: Duke Ergi! Because Rashta is uneducated and vulnerable and she thinks he's her only support system! She went through the trouble of ousting Navier at Ergi's suggestion and Soveishu began to just use Rashta as a baby factory, because as Rashta became like Navier to survive the political world and as he realized he lost Navier, he stopped caring about her. He never saw her as a human, he only saw her as a slate to project on the child version of Navier he was still in love with.
Now, i'm not gonna deny the heinous shit Rashta has done nor am I defending it, she is the antagonist, she does do cruel things that can't be excused, and that's factual. But the tragedy of her is that she was set up to fail by every single man in her life. She started seeing the women around her as competition because of those men. She never once had power and her frustration at her powerlessness and her disillusionment is valid. Navier was protected by her status as a noble, but Rashta had nothing and watching her crash and burn is satisfying but also sad. In another comic, she would be the female lead, and she would be safe and happy, she would be loved. To see the fandom boil her down to some man stealing bitch is really sad because it takes all the focus from Sovieshu. Instead of ripping him apart for using a system to abuse the women in his life, everyone rips apart Rashta for lashing out as a victim of that system.
You know who fits this dynamic more though? Diana from For My Derelict Favorite. Diana is a saintess with healing powers who was mistreated for being a commoner and married the Crown Prince. Hestia, the protagonist, targets her for revenge for a numerous amount of reasons, but what makes their conflict interesting is that Hestia is her equal. They were both commoners, they both are beloved by the world's god, they both rose in their station. The difference is that Diana is everything Rastha is percieved as. She still acts like a victim of the class system, despite the fact she's the crown princess and now has power and luxury. She looks down on the other nobles for their spending and ridicule of the lower class, yet doesn't realize she's become just like them. She casts aside Caelus for killing the novel's OG villains to save the empire, but has no problem acting like nothings wrong despite her treatment driving him to try and take his own life. She thinks herself objectively right and special and the minute anyone criticizes her, she turns on them, her husband included. She makes it a goal to steal Caelus from Hestia in order to hurt her and validate her behavior, thinking Caelus still loves her over Hestia. When Hestia makes soap accessible for the common people and makes advancments in changing the nobility's views of the lower class, Diana nitpicks her for it, because she can't stand to see Hestia take the limelight. She uses her power and privilege to bully and abuse others and then runs crying when she's called out on it.
The difference between these stories is clear. Rashta has no power and isn't the main villain, she doesn't have equal standing as Navier. She does a lot of her actions out of desperation for love and to survive while still being cruel. Diana and Hestia come from equal status; Diana is the one in the most power. She abuses the systems meant to mistreat those like her for her own benefit and nothing more. Helios is the antagonist while Diana is the villain, because it is Diana's actions that push the plot, akin to Soveishu. Helios and Rashta make things difficult, but they're really only along for the ride, and their interference in the plot happens because of the villains their characters serve.
#finis analyzes#webtoon#the remarried empress#for my derelict favorite#If I see anybody call her Trashta I will lose my fucking mind#Th point of this post is to stop seeing her as a punching bag and to analyze her as a character#I'm not analyzing 'Trashta'#I'm analyzing RASHTA

So... It's been a minute.
I have less and less to say about Remarried Empress because honestly after Rashta exited stage right I feel like all the tension and drama left with her.
Rashta's justice was far too great for most of her crimes and I feel like it was mostly there just to appease anyone who rabidly condemned her.
I was told time and again I'd eventually hate her for the shit she's done and I just disagree. She is, by far, the most unique and interesting character. She's gone now and I just don't have nearly as much investment in the love story between Navier and Henrey. Though I will say I do enjoy them being in love and cute together, it's much nicer than when I felt like the whole thing was a one sided romance of convenience.
I thought Krista might prove interesting but she also got exited stage right and in the least satisfying way.
Right now the most compelling and interesting character is Sovieshu and I really just... Don't care that he lost his memories. The desperation is unique and intriguing, the fact he demands to be her lover is wild.
I dunno. I feel like the story is allergic to resolving conflict with villains in any way besides a tragic death or off screen demise.
I'm still reading it. But I have a feeling the intrigue with Sovieshu's memory will be resolved soon and then I'm back to square one.
Oh well!

Heya bestie I mostly request a lot of females but this one is for the lads.
Akaza In the remarried empress

🏀Just imagine how a man like akaza would react he drinks his respects woman juice daily and the remarried empress is set in a medival setting so sadly woman rights are different.
🥊Like her is a childhood friend of heinley(that's how heinley got so much respect in this story for most women except rattrash ) and Duke ergi is just on the border of being his friend because of the bad luck he gives to woman.
🏀He came along with heinley the the new year Ball and people instantly knew who he was he is known in the western kingdom for his recpect to women and his brutalness towards weaker men.
🥊Akaza being surrounded by women and wanting to talk to him because they see him as a good man and they want to see if its tru he is the most respected man in the western kingdom and its tru he treats them with so much respect they fall in love.
🏀I can see the akaza reader being pissd of with sovieshit how he misteats navier for a woman who has the personality of a mere child instead of making her his concubine he could have given her a better place and gets her away from her status as slave.
🥊Imagen when sovieshit pulled the sword on heinley for "slandering his womans image " he accepts the dual and beats the shit out of sovieshit and tells him that he needs to respect all women not just one especially a woman he cheats one especially when he has a wife.
🏀I see rattrash wanting to pull him on her side by talking shit about navier that she is infertile and that doesn't make her a woman only for him to explain that she is a well respected woman and instead of being hateful to navier she needs to hate sovieshit for not hepling her how she deserves.
🥊Rattrash then talking to Duke ergi and him explaining that he beat his woman respect vision in to him when he was a child along with heinley "that's why her is a gentleman towards her "
🏀and her hearing stories of him beating women their abusive husband for hurting their wives and that he got away with it because he is so loved in the western kingdom and explains one time there was a riot because he was jailed by a noble and that even the king of the western kingdom was pissd.
🥊Meanwhile navier hears from heinley how he whoud never treat women like sovieshit does to him because of his friend akaza she knows about his story and reputation and is glad that he is friends with heinley.
🏀Later on navier gets married whit heinley and akaza visits and said if he becomes like sovieshit to tell him so he will beat the lesson of respecting women into heinley and heinley sweating in the bg.

Does not include Kosair or the Grand Duke Kaufman or Duke Ergi.
Sovieshu Vict
You were a noble in the Western Kingdom, right hand man to King Wharton III. Your reputation preceded you as a man of great respect when it came to women. The swarm of women around you was basically a dead giveaway. However, instead of ushering them away, you addressed each by name and you promised each of them a dance… that was unless they were married. You were not about to make other men angry and cause a disturbance of the peace.
However, when you saw Empress Navier upset with the Emperor, who was dancing with another woman, any thought of respect for His Imperial Majesty flew out the window. Instead, you went to Heinrey, in whom you could see the lovesickness, and you ushered him towards Her Imperial Majesty. You knew your friend like the back of your hand, and if anyone would treat her right, it would be Heinrey.
A few days later, when the prince got in trouble for “slandering Rashta’s image”, you took his place in the hypothetical duel. After all, you were the most expendable option here, as you were no heir to the throne. However, in order to prevent any fatal harm, you offered to bring Sovieshu to fisticuffs instead of a swordfight. Needless to say, it ended with him being bruised and you being scratch-free. You hadn’t studied martial arts for nothing, after all.
Of course, this is when the story of you being thrown in jail for nearly beating an abusive man to death. You had seen the fear in his children’s and wife’s eyes, and you couldn’t take it. The King had enough with your anger issues and threw you into prison, but there was a huge riot within the Western Kingdom. Because it was disturbing day-to-day life, you were let out with a large warning and a criminal record. However, you managed to charm the Queen, befriending her in the process, which made her a valuable ally.
Rashta
She had never heard of you, but by the way that all the ladies at the New Year’s Party were swarming you, she judged that you were a good man. That being said, she definitely did want to talk to you. However, Sovieshu kind of swept her up to dance, causing a ruckus even after the whole dress drama and people debating whether Navier was copying her or if Rashta was copying Navier.
Anyway, when she was done, she saw you standing with Prince Heinrey, who seemed to be staring at the Empress. You were speaking to him quietly with a glass of wine in your hand, nudging him with your elbow. As much as the young mistress loves to pretend that she is, she is not naive. She knows what you two are doing. However, she’s not going to disrupt anything. If Navier is out of the picture, then Sovieshu is all hers.
During her—rather toxic—friendship with Duke Ergi, she asked how he knew how to talk to her and calm her down. That was when he told her about how you actually fought him for daring to disrespect a female friend that you all had in your youth. With his reputation as a womanizer, you thought it unjust that these girls who were drawn to him would be disrespected in such a manner, so you gave him a black eye, a busted shoulder, a busted lip, and a bruised pride.
Through her maidservant, she found out about your criminal record in the Western Kingdom. Even though you were the right-hand man to the king, you were still thrown in prison for nearly murdering a man who turned out to be abusive to his wife and children. However, the citizens held a riot to let you out. That wasn’t anything she could use against you, but it seemed like your respect even went to her as you could see her plans, but you both knew that it would be more beneficial if Navier went elsewhere.
Navier Trovi
She wasn’t the one to invite you, but she knew of your reputation. She had met you previously as you were an ambassador for the Western Kingdom as well since King Wharton III was constantly too ill to travel. Seeing you at the New Year’s Party was a pleasant surprise, as she had not known that her husband had invited you.
One thing that she didn’t know was that you were the one to usher Heinrey to get to know her better and even begin to court her. Infidelity was not something you often encouraged, but seeing the Emperor dancing with his mistress rather than his wife pissed you off. When you yourself spoke with her to introduce Prince Heinrey, she noticed that you were not nervous. You still spoke to her with respect, but there was a spark of mischief in your eye.
You were known for being ruthless with men who you deemed unworthy of even being alive. Your scars were kept visible because you were feared among all men in any empire or kingdom. Navier found herself curious about them, but she knew better than to ask because the last thing anyone would want is your criminal record being outed to the media
However, someone else seemed to get a hold of the papers at the time, where the headline was ‘WESTERN KINGDOM NOBLE BEATS MAN TO DEATH’. Instead of being ashamed, though, you smiled as you asked that person if he would have let that man’s wife be beaten to death along with his children if he allowed that abusive man to keep living. That shut everyone up rather quickly.
Heinrey Lazlo
You were his best friend since youth, along with Ergi. However, you were not afraid to beat your shared friend after he made a girl cry. As you all grew up, you all were heartthrobs, but you were not in the habit of leading women on. You instead wanted to find ‘the one’, as did Heinrey, but Ergi was still set in his womanizer habits.
Anyway, at the New Year’s Party in the Eastern Empire, you were there for him to talk to when he visited the Empress in his bird form. He reminded you of a puppy, but you were happy because you knew that he would never let her down the way her own husband did by ignoring her presence and not taking his wife’s side when rumors started floating around.
Unfortunately, try as you might, your criminal record always found a way to be in the spotlight. Rashta had hired someone to expose you, and you had gone to prison years ago for beating a man to death. However, what neither knew was that Prince Heinrey and Duke Ergi had your back, as you clarified that the man was abusive and you were not going to stand to see a woman and their children be beaten because he had gambled on the wrong horse (literally).
That being said, you no longer held any respect for the mistress and vowed to be there when her crimes caught up to her. You had allowed Ergi to use his charm to manipulate her into trusting him, and you gathered a bunch of evidence to help Navier and Heinrey build a case against her. Also, you had visited Viscount Lotteshu, and while he himself was a piece of shit, you learned even more about Rashta.

The fandom hating Rashta for being a "bad mother" when she didn't even have a chance to be a mother!
Her slave owner tricked her into thinking her son was dead so even now she has trouble believing Ian is hers and then Sovieshu won't even let her see her daughter because she had a PTSD attack and accidentally threw her daughter because she had a flashback to when she was forced to hold a dead baby she thought was her son.
Then in recent chapters Sovieshu acts annoyed when Rashta asks if he loved her at all as if he didn't always take her side and act like he did love her, he made her believe he divorced Navier to be with her!
Like yeah Rashta has done horrible things, especially to the maids working for her but that doesn't mean she's worse than literally any other character like Heinly who literally shoves rocks into a nobles mouth and sewed his mouth shut because the noble trash talked Navier.
Not to mention he locked his sister-in-law away and when she committed he wrote a letter to her dad pretending to be her and blaming her death on him.
Rashta is the underdog and literally deserved better.

Fuck it.
If you hate on Rashta and call her Trashta, you’re kind of totally missing the point. Is she a person who has done some really bad, really fucked up and selfish things? 100%. But I’m real tired of people reducing her to a greedy homewrecker because she is a FASCINATING character.
Like girly literally found the one way the escape slavery and took it. You can really see it in S1, the way her text bubble change to be cutesy and flowery when she talks to Sovieshu, her bubbly attitude, etc. Sovieshu does not get nearly enough hate for the way he infantilized and idealized Rashta into a younger, more naive version of Navier because he didn’t like how serious and mature Navier was (because she’s an ADULT), and how he blamed all of their fertility problems on Navier and threw her away so he could have an heir rather than work with both of them to find a solution.
She’s desperate and the pressure she has to be a good empress, a good mother, and to keep herself from being found out is actually driving her mad, and it’s really tragic to see how Sovieshu is willing to just… let her lose her mind. Because it serves him to get rid of his accident wife. And like she’s suffered so much that she’s lashing out to make others suffer as well, and she so desperately needs help to stay afloat. She’s by no means a good person; she’s ordered deaths, she lies, and she is fully willing to hurt others to get her way. But she’s also trapped in a snake pit where no one has ever been willing to help her out. If anything, it’s understandable WHY she so easily hurts others.
Sovieshu is the real villain to me. He threw away a perfectly happy marriage and married someone because she was pretty and childlike and reminded him of his actual wife without even talking to his actual wife. He then tossed Rashta into the deep end, unable to even really READ, and expected her to sit quietly while her heritage and legitimacy as a concubine and later empress was called into question. Sovieshu completely ignores Rashta and her needs at times in S3, treating her like she’s some horrible problem thrust upon him and not the mother of his (supposed) child who he consciously divorced his wife for. He schemed to have Glorym taken away from Rashta permanently because she was suffering from PPD and the trauma of having believed to have lost her first child. And yet Rashta is wrong for having these issues in the first place?
It bugs me how people are willing to extend every grace to Navier and Heinrey but not even a moments thought to Rashta. Nobody considers that Navier runs a nation that allows slavery, and we never hear her thoughts and opinions about it beyond that she knows it exists. Heinrey sabotaged an entire nation’s mages in order to set himself up to start a war to conquer it. They are by no means perfect people, and yet there is no additional thought about the implications and characters of these two because they’re “the good guys.”
In conclusion, Rashta is a really well written, truly interesting character, but she gets so much undeserved criticism because she’s the “rival” and yall are really doing her a disservice. She is definitely deserving of some criticism, as she is definitely not a good person, but she is not greedy or outright evil. Her spiral is real, and she’s a very full and interesting character—and a great foil to Navier. I hoped maybe Ep. 173 would help some of yall haters to see the Rashta Truther Light but here we are.

The internalized sexism in remarried empress, (for an ask)
*this is going to be a long one so hold on tight*
It's no question that remarried empress is one of the most popular manhwas on webtoon and being so popular it holds a lot of influence, unfortunately, that influence promoted the internalized misogyny in not just the readers but in other works as well.
In the first chapter, Navier is presented as this baddass perfect woman, during her divorce trial she brings in a hot rebound who also happens to be another Emperor so she wont have to give up her life as empress, sounds pretty feminist right? Unfortunately that's only one of the few times we see anything related to feminism at all.
We are soon sent back a few months before the trial and right away, Naviers ladies in waiting are tearing another woman down and already believe this new woman is a threat to Navier because the Emperor Sovieshu is attracted to this newbie

We are shown the basic concept of how the narrative wants us to view these two characters. Navier is perfect empress who is being wronged by her husband and this unnamed woman who's only crime so far was existing is a wench and a homewreaker, the ladies imply it as some sort of extreme act of disrespect for having to bathe what they believe to be a slave, proceeding with sucking up to the lead by saying they only wash their hands to bathe her as they don't even wash themselves and even when they admit this mystery woman to be beautiful they backtrack to making sure Navier is supported. You might think that this is just friends supporting friends but it goes beyond on that later on.
Later on we are introduced to this mystery woman, Rashta, a former slave found by Sovieshu in the woods who is immediately portrayed as rude, stupid, and a crybaby

The reason she cries is because she was struck and referred to as "the slave" while she wasn't very polite it's clear Rashta isn't doing this on purpose, rather it is sheer ignorance and an unusually large optimism
now, a lot of people like to say that Rashta must've done something on purpose to get Laura imprisoned and that she knew what she was doing, therfore justifying the hatred for her existence. However, Laura hit Rashta for reaching out to Navier and calls her a wench in the process

Some fans use the excuse that she smirked after Laura got sentenced to 3 days imprisonment and yes while that is excessive for Laura, Rashta was a slave only a few days ago and she's been mistreated by nobles her entire life plus I don't think she's smart enough to pull off Hannibal levels of planning like that, I personally think her smirk here is meant to be more of a "that's what she gets for treating me like that." Then a "hee hee my evil plan worked!"
the rest of the comic goes the same way, Rashta is continuously portrayed as a whore who ruined Naviers life by turning her husband against her, and she's written to be hated as a pick me who won't know her place. Rashtas pretty much every part of those "other girls" in those not like other girls templates. She's girly, loves the attention, emotional, dainty, overly sweet but secretly only has ulterior motives, and in the novel, she acts extremely childish even referring to herself in 3rd person, even when she makes good points it's all intended for the reader to laugh and jeer at her.
Shes practically designed to be the pick me archetype for baddass mary sue fans to despise and she sadly only gets worse as time goes on, not just in morals and personality but also in her writting

And how is Navier perceived?
Shes endlessly perfect, everyone loves her including several different powerful men from all different countries. Even her cheating ass husband is given the cheapest redemption arc in the end just for being sorry that he cheated and realizing how much he wants her. All the characters your meant to view as good adore her and anyone who doesn't is written as the meanest bad guy on the planet worthy of death. While she isn't the worst character I've seen, the narrative tries so hard to make her more amazing that Navier looks worse as a result, such as not caring about slavery despite being described as kind and devoted to all her subjects. Ergi even says it straight to us that there will always be that invisible wall between her and the poor.

The characters we're supposed to see as good are:
Heinrey: A king who planned on going to war with Naviers country and only stopped when he fell in love with her at first sight, who also tortures and threatens anyone who even so much as inconveniences or talks shit about her all while he puts up an innocent front to appear non threatening (wonder who that sounds like)
Kaufman: A grand Duke who drugs other people with love potions which are essentially date-rape drugs and gets away with it once another woman takes the blame
Kosair: Naviers brother who violates Rashtas autonomy by slipping abortion drugs in her food and it's never talked about again.
Lebetti: One of Rashtas slave owners who still continues to harass Rashta and views anyone lower than her with contempt including her own nephew and so on
And who are the characters we are supposed to hate?
Besides Rashta and Sovieshu, the only other characters so far are Krista, the former queen of the west and her father

Ironically Krista is hated for the same reason readers supported Navier for: not wanting to replaced as queen, which isn't helped by Heinrey asserting that Navier is the one and only queen and anyone who objects will face serious consequences but they fix that by dumbing her down and blaming her for Kaufman drugging Heinrey. As for her dad, the old Duke. While he is the only man actively against Navier so far the only ways he has been punished is being told that Krista killed herself. (In the novel the old Duke does face serious consequences which involved him being murdered along with innocent people after his son attempted a hit on Navier)
But overall you get the message, most of the characters you are supposed to love are men and ladies with no personality, men who do atrocious shit yet we're supposed to look past it and conveniently the only man who is punished is an ugly bastard.
The ladies in waiting are the biggest contributors to the internalized misogyny, often they support it by insisting any new woman who shows up must be an evil whore, even Krista's ladies in waiting do this

Not like it matters though anyway since Navier basically wins most of those girls over on her side and they're never seen again

You see what I mean? Every other woman in this story has little to no character, they exist solely to push the FL up and punch down at any woman they don't like which usually consists of women that either dainty "other girls" or ironically women in a situation similar to Naviers and any woman who opposes Navier is affectly an idiot who gets girlbossed back into place. Meanwhile almost all of the men who commit absolutely horrible acts get away with it since they all essentially go awooga for Navier, with the only exception being less than conventionally attractive dudes like Krista's dad.
for fucks sake even Alan, one of Rashtas other masters who 🍇ed her, got her pregnant and participated in keeping her child away from her until she got successful is viewed as this sorrowful wittle baby who got taken advantage of by the evil Rashta and was "wrongfully" told to screw off by her. It took an episode where Alan was so unfathomably stupid to get readers to realize they shouldn't side with a rapist, and yes, while the narrative will try to push the idea that Rashta took advantage of him to raise her status and that she consented. News flash: a slave cannot consent to someone who owns them, it's like a student-teacher relationship.
Now the hypocrisy. Navier can do one thing and it's viewed as such a girlboss power move but when someone else like Rashta does something similar, it's embarrassing and pathetic. For example, Rashta is mocked by nobles mind you, for wearing an expensive and flashy wedding dress. Meanwhile Naviers wedding dress is literally weaved with thousand of gemstones

Hey, it's their words not mine.
Or how Rashta was considered evil for stealing Naviers spot as empress (even though Rashta didn't even want to be empress at first and Sovieshu gave her the offer, it's not like she held a gun to his head) but when Krista shows distress over being replaced as queen, the comments basically tell Krista to suck it up because Navier deserves it more. Everytime a man does something wrong in this story, the characters and even the readers trace it back to somehow being a woman's fault.
Readers are even encouraged to laugh at Rashta for not being able to learn as fast and eventually having a breakdown from the stress (not to mention she's also pregnant here so those hormones must be going wild)

yeah let's just blame a pregnant woman who wasn't educated in reading until a few months ago for not being able to be as smart or stoic as Navier and then crying from the stress.
finally, how this promotion of internalized misogyny affected other works. The Trashta nickname has become so popular that it is used everytime a woman who doesn't support the MC or even just inconveniences her is introduced, constantly the comments never shut up about the "new trashta." Even women who don't mean harm like Helena from kill the villainess was treated horribly because she's the "other woman" it erases any attempt at creativity in these stories and dumbs down any other woman who isn't constantly worshipping the FL as an evil bitch who needs to go.
Conclusion:The Remarried empress isn't the feminist power book with complex characters, maybe in season 1 but not anymore. Women who even think about being rude to Navier are punched down and killed if they don't change their mind while almost all the men are excused for their cruel actions because their hot guys with abs who only wanted to protect the one and only goddess Navier.

I have an idea can you please do a yandere Kosair
With a kianna darling
Where he meets her through navier as her lady and waiting and she's basically the reason Rasta stays far away from navier and over time he becomes obsessed with her
(wanings: mentions of non-con touching, kidnapping, dark content, manipulation, drugging, yandere stuff so yeah....)
Yandere! Kosair X Kianna! Reader
❣ You were Navier's lady-in-waiting and you honestly scared everyone...even Sovieshu, Heinrey, the late emperor and empress when you were introduced as the lady-in-waiting to Navier...
❣ Even Navier herself was slightly scared of you, but you both quickly became friends! You gave her advice and helped her deal with aristocrats and other things!
❣ You quickly became close to her, you both were great friends! and you even got protective over her, you would never let Rashta near her as you knew Rashta hurt Navier... You did feel pity for her..but it's fine..
❣ You were soon introduced to Kosair who you definitely found a bit strange in the beginning, but over time you learned to trust him and it seemed as though he fancied you..so nothing you could do about that..
❣ You knew Kosair liked you and you seemingly slowly liked him, he was kind protective a it hot-headed but that's fine, and you seemingly also grew close...
❣ He finds it hard to manipulate you, and when he's caught, he pretend he didn't know he was manipulating him..he knows you can easily figure it out, he's angry at this...
❣ He tries to subtly accuses people near you of crimes so he can be there for comfort you, and when that doesn't work, he isn't afraid to find out your trauma and use that as a way to have you under his thumb.
❣ He knows you know how to fight, so he himself won't kidnap, he will have Navier invite you for tea and give you tea mixed with sleeping drought.
❣ Otherwise he can have a bandit do the work for him and make sure no evidence is left...cause if it, he isn't afraid to cause a bloodshed or have Heinrey do it for him under the excuse of Navier...Heinrey folds under Navier, it's better for him to have connections anyway..
❣ He will keep you with the strongest metal chains and makes sure some type of guard is with you at all times, does not matter what you have to offer, if they even think to change their minds, their fate will be worse than death.
❣ If you somehow escape, somehow, it won't be long before you're capture, the place you're in is probably underground or HEAVILY secured and you have no way of leaving, he has connections being the brother of the empress...
❣ He will make sure no weapon is on you, he will strip search you, but when you're unconscious so he doesn't trigger too much trauma...he isn't a complete monster, you know?

The fact that Rashta is a bad word on OI subreddit send me
Like fr, you guys are so united with the controversy called Rashta that she's basically an agent of discord and it's not her fault, a rock isn't to blame if it hits your face, it's who throws it, Rashta is exactly that rock, this is the most understandable way to describe her
Reminds me of the long running joke of Oikawa from Haikyuu being put and compared in the same category as mass murderers in anime villains 😭
God the hate that Rashta gets never gets old. Like seriously, she isn't calculating, she isn't evil, she isn't a villain. She was a child when she was sold to slavery and grew up with it being all she knows. She didn't even have a chance to live a normal life before ACCIDENTALY having to clash with royalty and her past hsunting her.
People think that she delibaretly waited there for Sovieshu to hunt when all of it has just been one big string of misunfortunste events of time and plsce.

So,if your ever an author for remarried empress, what would you fix in the webtoon and why?
Well I'm a navieshu shipper so of course I'm going to lean towards that. Sovieshu will find Rashta and help her and give her employment in the palace. Him falling for her didn't make sense judging by his past character (even Navier was surprised in canon). They'll have misunderstandings and will get divorced but both of them will remain single afterwards (no remarriage or concubines). Navier will go out and have her adventures with dragons and what not. Slowly figuring out herself and missing Sovieshu but she thinks he doesn't love her.
I'll give Ergi better motivation than to blame Sovieshu for Alessia cause that crap doesn't make sense.
Birdpoop will be the same as he's already a pos. (Man I loved Rashta sidestory where she immediately suspected something was wrong with the bird and grabbed bird h*inly). Rashta will not let him stalk Navier because of this.
Rashta is a feisty girl, I'd love for her to train and get a place in the army of Eastern Empire and get her revenge against her enslavers.
Sovieshu meanwhile will rule the emperor and investigate the magic decline and missing Navier all the time.
Let birdpoop invade the eastern empire and get his ass handed cause he forgot that western kingdom is a landlocked country and other rulers hate him (canonically other rulers aren't his biggest fan either)
Krista regains self respect and doesn't lose her dignity.
The main villain will be another evil sorcerer (Ergi ) who has been sealed away for long due to vict family and now here's to take revenge and injures Sovieshu and Navier returns after hearing this thinking Sovieshu died, realizing she loves him more than she thought. She gets her hidden power during her adventures and uses that to save him.
Ergi's body is basically possessed during the fire incident and joins hands with birdpoop as it helps his goal. Would love for him to kill birdpoop after the lost war as he became useless to him after that.
Navier Rashta friendship. Navier uses Dolshi Dragon and forms a dragon army. Sovieshu recovers and they together defeat the main villain. To add a bit of tragedy, maybe Kosair dies... Kaufman is hugely injured.
They finally defeats possessed Ergi and the truth comes out about his possession. I wouldn't mind a Rashta Ergi ship.
Navier and Sovieshu finally talk like adults and Sovieshu begs Navier to take him back even if she hates him. Navier will be surprised, beat his ass for being an idiot but they get back and hence the remarried empress.
They make a better treaty after the huge war, slavery gets banished (Rashta plays a great role in it).
Sovieshu and Navier have another royal wedding.
Sidestory:
Sovieshu and Navier have a happy ending and long after their marriage when they have given up about having a baby and making peace with it Navier suddenly becomes pregnant. The boy will have dark hair like Sovieshu and green eyes like Navier.
Ergi and Rashta get married and Ergi adopts Ian as his and later she gives birth to another daughter.
Their babies are decided to get married for future.
Cue old Sovieshu playing with his grandkids talking about how he married Navier two times and Navier rolling her eyes in the background but smiling.
The end.
#lmao i should write this fanwork but I'm lazy#remarried empress#the remarried empress#sovieshu#navier#navier×sovieshu#navieshu#rashta#ergi#rashta×ergi#asks#anonymous asks
