Hello! I apologize for bothering you, just wanted to say that I've been reading your xiao x reader work, "Crossroads of the Swirling Wind" and I absolutely love it omg!! I love the premise (im always a sucker for works where somehow reader is able to help xiao with his karmic debt), your characterization of xiao is so amazing, also also I love your writing for isekai, I think it's such a difficult concept to handle and not make cliché or feel too fabricated, and you're doing it sooo well (sidenote, just love how when Rex Lapis asks reader what she wants as her part of the contract she's like "umh, healthcare? Access to housing?? Means to survive??" You go girl, she really got her priority set straight, that was so realistic, and I really love that lmao). Can't wait to see how the story evolves. Thank you so much for sharing such a personal work (and added to the representation of tall readers with glasses lol. I love a reader that's a lot taller than xiao, and that's the hill I'll die on).

Isekai has been a part of my creative life ever since I watched The Familiar of Zero as a kid and it hasn't left me ever since, although my obsession definitely came back stronger than ever once I watched HameFura/My Next Life As A Villainess and all the subsequent "otome" isekai series that have come out since then lmao.

To be honest, the entire plot of COTS is heavily influenced by HameFura HAHA (just like how my Persona fic is heavily influenced by Last Boss Queen... isekai has me in a chokehold I swear). You have no idea how many times it has been rewritten to get to what I'm sharing with the world now.

I did have a few doubts about the reader's established characteristics (like, the height and the glasses lol) since I've been trying to just leave her as ambiguous as possible in my other works but... in the end I just couldn't take it away, it was kinda crucial for the dynamics and scenes I already had written, since it *did* start off as a silly self-insert/yume work... but I'm glad you find it enjoyable too! Xiao being the smallest male character will never not be endearing to me. *grabs xiao and hugs him tightly and lifts him up for like two cm*

Also, I'm kinda not doing the ship meme currently but I love pbwc and I have been wanting to do another one so I made an exception. It has been a while since I've watched the series though so I hope it's alright and you enjoy it ^^ :

Who clings to the other during scary movies? 

They cling to each other, shortly before the movie Jino teased Roy about how scared he was probably gonna get to which he strongly denied. Then they were both scared and held onto each other at nearly every jumpscare. They’ve agreed not to tell Maru.

Who asks weird questions in the middle of the night? 

They probably both have at different points in time. The first time tho it was Roy sorta just thinking out loud, he thought Jino was asleep and was not expecting him to respond, especially not with serious interest.

Who falls asleep on the other?

Jino definitely falls asleep on Roy. He initially just leans on Roy while Roy’s reading or something and refuses to move then eventually falls asleep. Roy’s arm has long fallen asleep so what’s a little while longer.

Who eats the other’s uneaten pizza crusts?

What do you mean? Ari, obvi. I think Roy tells Jino he’s childish for not eating them, but he eats Jino’s pizza crusts for him, anyway, as they are the best part of the pizza.

Who talks smack while playing video games? 

Jino 1000%. Roy will talk smack back but Jino starts it every time, without fail.

Who would throw the other in the pool?

Jino’s definitely thrown Roy into the pool before, probably more than once.

Who is the better carer when the other is sick?

Roy is the better carer but Jino makes better soup.

Who cooks normally? 

They are learning to cook together, but it’s Roy. It’s like 15% together, 55% Roy, 30% Jino.

Who made the first move?

Jino made the first move, he was going to play it off as a joke but then when Roy actually reacted to it in a way that told Jino that there might be something there.

Who kissed who first? 

Roy kissed Jino first. They’d been dating for a while already and it had come up the other day so he was mentally working up to it. Everyone thought it’d be Jino first tho.

How often do they fight and over what?

They fight over the little things all the time but all in good fun. They only have big fights every once in a while and seeing as they are protectors of sorts with their whole watch car thing, it probably is about decisions and stuff about that.

Who’s the first one to fix things after a fight?

Uh unless Jino actually hurt Roy’s feelings, it’s Roy. He’ll bring back up the issue they fought over and discuss it all at a level tone and everything, which Jino acts like he hates but really appreciates, especially since it helps get them through each point.

Who talks about the other more without noticing? 

Jino, definitely. Ari and Maru have teased him about this and he got self-conscious for two seconds, but in the long run he still never catches it himself. 

Who steals the other’s clothes?

So Jino on occasion might steal something of Roy, Roy on the other hand, he “doesn’t steal” Jino’s clothes or anything it’s just that sometimes things like Jino leaving his jacket with Roy, and well Jino having yet to return a couple of Roy’s jackets so he might as well wear Jino’s jacket, he’s the one who left it. 

Which of their friends is over-joyed shipper trash that they are together?

Probably Ari, she's happy they're happy and that she can gather things to use against them she credits herself as to how/why they got together whether it's true or not, but also Maru is all over teasing them and follows up all the time with them on their relationship.

It's sometimes hard to remember that they're your OCs and not a project for a dramatic film or book! All the trivia and world building is so wonderful to read! I hope it's nice to have so much attention on Machete and Vasco, they're lovely and deserve it. :)

I wanted to ask, are there any other OCs you're particularly attached to from your roster that you'd perhaps like for the world to see? Maybe there's someone that you wish had gotten just as much attention?

I have a lot of OCs, but I've been pretty laser focused on Machete, Vasco and their setting for a couple of years now. I feel like that's the creative pursuit that is bringing me the most joy and fueling my inspiration right now. But I don't want to view my other characters as abandoned either, I'll go back to working on them once the right mood strikes.

it is my firm belief that sawyer and peach are absolute freaks. they’re going at it morning noon and night when they’re at riorson house. sawyer is in charge. he’s a rider and she isn’t, so he definitely has the upper hand strength wise, and she loves it. add in the fact that he’s an executive officer and looks so good in his uniform… it stays on quite often. their dynamic will change a little after his injury, which causes some physical limitations, and with him living in the infirmary for a month, they can’t really do anything. but once he can make it up stairs to her room, all bets are off. and even if she’s on top, he’s still in control. (actively working on this, hehe)

lieutenant colonel brennan sorrengail fucks. duchess is never ever left unsatisfied. he’s also in charge 95% of the time. he just has that stern, commanding but loving energy, that makes you want to be a good girl for him. but it’s also quite fun to rile him up and tease him, and then see him snap. he’s a brat tamer through and through. he’ll spank or edge you until you finally cry and apologize, tell him that you won’t do it again. but be careful what you wish for — if you beg him to let you cum, you’ll be cumming four times that night, until you’re an absolute mess and can’t take it anymore. he’ll take such good care of you after, though <3

dain and love are also at it like rabbits (how’s that gonna go for them, lmao). it’s a constant tug of war with who’s in control, and her signet often comes into play. it’s just so easy to tie him up with little ropes of air, or slightly reduce the amount of oxygen he’s getting, making him dizzy… admittedly, it took a while for dain to be comfortable with not being in control, because of the traditional view that the man is in charge etc etc, and also to build the trust necessary to be okay with stuff like being tied up. but now he’ll do anything for you, as long as you call him a good boy while he does it. he needs that validation and praise like air. also, king of body worship. let him help you undress and kiss every inch of your skin, give you a massage, and then make you cum on his tongue.

honorable mentions:

garrick and angel. similar to sawyer and peach, gare is in charge, and much stronger. he’s able to put her in any position he wants, and manhandle her a bit, which she loves. and the size difference goes crazy. he’s a literal giant, and it’s so hot to see him towering over you while you’re on your knees, or above you, taking up your whole vision. again, it’s all built on the deep trust between them, that he won’t truly hurt her, that she’ll tell him if he does, and that she has the ability to stop him at any time with a word or a gesture. which is the bare minimum of a healthy d/s relationship!

bodhi and darling are also a coin flip to see who is going to be in charge. but often times neither of them is, and they’re just each focusing on the other and pleasing them. once darling gets her wingleader title… that definitely made a few appearances in their bed. he’s also a body worshipper. he just wants to make you feel good.

soft and gentle, and/or need more time to build trust and confidence before they do anything else:
