A university for Riverblossom Hills

I kinda want it to be a premade college, yes. It just fits better in my mind. (But I know Peni’s Land Grant University and I think it’s great!)

You’re right. It’s just that I’ve used it as a background so often that it feels so familiar even though I have never played it properly... also, there are just so many Sims I don’t really care about (most of the Greek houses). Although maybe that’s the challenge?

Right? ALT just fits so well. But I can also see the appeal in trying something new. And there are a few SSU sims I could see forming a band with David...

Thank you for your input! Yeah, SSU would definitely be more of a challenge if only due to the fact that while I love some of the sims that live there, I couldn’t care less for the rest.

Still unsure of what to do. Who knows? Maybe I’ll play an empty template with all of the bin sims plus the Riverblossom Hills teens (since it’s mostly the Sim Bin sims I love!)? Or I’ll draw a stick? We’ll see.

If I were doing it, I'd provide the needed CC as a bundle alongside the neighbourhood files.

The only thing about bundling it is...what if someone doesn’t want all of it? Or what if they already have a lot of it? I mean, from what I understand, once CC is bundled, it’s not an easy process to un-bundle, and the Uni, especially, has a LOT of CC in the form of hood deco.

That it is! And thank you. :) It kind of got out of hand. I didn’t intend for it to be that big, but then I tend to go overboard, so.... I think I’d share it as a main hood, though. Unless people would prefer it as a uni template? Or maybe I’ll do both? Either way it’ll need to be finished with lots. I guess I’ll put out a general ask when the time comes that it’s ready for sharing.

It's just like a full hood. The hood folder and either include necessary cc or link to it.

Yeah, before I came over here to Tumblr, it dawned on me that there are predecorated-but-lotless terrains up for download at MTS. So, I downloaded one of those and, yep, the whole neighborhood folder. I’ll be including the CC, though, mostly because I have no clue where I got most of the stuff I have or who made it, so finding links would be problematic and time-consuming. :)

I hope you feel better soon! I got top 5.5% on that quiz, in English. Did a similar one in my actual native language and got top 0.1%, so I'm pretty happy with 5.5% in a foreign language :9

Considering English isn’t your mother tongue, I’d say being in the top 5.5% is pretty damn good! I’d wager you did better than most Americans would. Which is embarrassing, but there it is... If only we had a government that properly funded education instead of trying to fund private “Christian” schools via ridiculous “vouchers” in the name of “freedom of choice.” :P Buuuuuut that’s a rant for another time and place. *sigh*

Not on a Kindle, apparently. :( Or at least not on mine. I tried that and it just redirected to the mostly-broken app. It’s got an Amazon-proprietary operating system, so it has its weirdnesses that way. Although maybe if I deleted the mostly-useless app it’d work....Hmmm.

I’d already planned that, dear. :) Not sure if they’ll ever get married, though, because I’m going to wait for mutual wants in this neighborhood, and if they do I’m not sure which surname they’ll keep. (And hyphenating is just weird, IMO. I mean, what happens when two people with hyphenated last names get married? Do you keep all four names and then the next generation there’s eight names, then sixteen, then....?) *ahem* Anyway, she might not be a “Choi.” :) If she ever exists. :)

So far? Well, I have played their household for a season now, and I don’t think it’s too much of a spoiler to say they mostly ignore each other. *laugh* Carmine and Sydney get along like a house on fire, though. Just platonically, because they’re both gay, but...Yeah, they’re buddies. Josie’s just kind of off in her own world, so far.

I saw the logo and thought: Fire Island, how old school!

Yeah, that was actually kind of why I liked the name in Esperanto. Because speakers of English and the Romance languages are going to see “fire” in the name, and it’s kind of appropriate since I plopped a volcano on it. OR there’s the connotation of “flaming” gay men. All this even though the word has nothing to do with fire in Esperanto, except maybe in a figurative sense. Pride in being who you are could be seen as a sort of internal fire that can either make you warm and confident and glowing from the inside or burn you up if there’s too much of it, I suppose. So it works all around, I guess.

Yeah, that’s the “alien experiments” mod. They can be turned into supernaturals or another kind of outcome instead of always knocked up. As much as I adore alien babies, I also like the variety the mod brings.

That's so cool! What a good name, I've always named all my hoods in Latin and they sound.. old. Might switch them to Esperanto!

It’s a pretty cool language. It sounds familiar, yet it’s different and, yes, it doesn’t sound “old.” It was created to be an international standard language, so it pulls from most of the world’s major languages, making it easier for more people to learn. Duolingo offers a course, and I’ve put it on my list to learn, after I finish the Russian course. And then the Welsh course.

Drink

Oh look I did a thing, a micro one but i did wrote something. Also @sparkstark for you.

"Jaskier you need to drink" Geralt tried again with a softer voice.

"Noooo" Jaskier whined turning his head on the opposite direction the glass was offered.

"Jaskier, you need to take this medicine so the fever can go down." Geralt continued, stroking lightly Jaskier back trying to coax the sick bard.

"It taste horrible" Jaskier said squeezing his eyes, before shivering and trying to turn himself into a ball.

"Jaskier..." Geralt sighed, going to chug down the entire glass content and turning Jaskier head toward him, opening his mouth and kissing Jaskier forcing the sick bard to drink.

"That's disgusting" Jaskier caughed, going to bury his head in Geralt front. "Do that again when I'm not a shivering disgusting mess, maybe." With that Jaskier fell asleep snoring, still curled in Geralt arms.

"Yeah." Geralt whispered with a little smile on his lips. "Yeah."

Aesthetic: clothing wise I'm trying to dress more "feminine" though I'm still too afraid to wear my dresses outside my apartment due to feeling unsafe from transphobes :(( more specifically I'm trying to channel that cool but cute art student vibe without actually being one lol

So @sparkstark sent me 2 words for prompt, when I asked to send some for some angty drabble, and well... here I am finally? It took me more then I thought, also is longer then what I anticipated, and I want to expand this idea? But I don’t have the skill to do so? So take this *throw fic in the shark tank and runs away*

Promp: Anniversay, Smell

Sequel to this one.

Geralt didn’t want to pull out that piece of doublet covered in blood from his bag, didn’t want to loose that faint trace of Jaskier still lingered on it. Didn’t want to forget the bard. Didn’t want to let it go, even after ten years, four day and five hours from his death. 

He didn’t want to let it go.

“Geralt.” Yennefer voice reached the witcher ears in a soft tone. “It’s more then ten years” Yennefer pointed out, looking at the dirty piece of fabric between Geralt finger. “It’s time you let him go.” She continued, crossing her arms moving her eyes from the fabric to the face of the man in front of him, or at what was the shadow of the man that long time before was Geralt.

“I can’t.”

“I know, but you know what he wanted, what he thought about that, and you need to respect his wishes and move on, and continue with your life.”

“I can’t.”

“You should” Yennefer continued extending her hand. “I need to show you something that Jaskier said to me.” At that Geralt raised his eyes finally looking at Yennefer. “Close your eyes, you know how this works.” With that both closed their eyes and Yennefer projected her memories to Gerat, letting the witcher see, feel and ear Jaskier one last time and finally breaking that one last tread that kept Geralt stuck in a past that wasn’t anymore.

“It's gone.” Where the first words from Geralt after the little magic trick from Yennefer. “It’s really gone.” After that, slowly, tears started to fall from the Witcher eyes. 

“It’s gone.” Yennefer repeated, letting go of Geralt hand while keeping with her the piece of fabric, and going to hug the man in front of him, the one that felt more then anyone else, the one with emotion doubled, the one that loved with all his heart. The one that lost everything.

“I miss him.”

“I know.”

“Maybe if…”

“NO!” Yennefer screamed in Geralt ear. “Don’t you even think about that, don’t you even go there with your brain, the one with crazy idea is Lambert here not you. Focus on Ciri, on me, on the family you still have here.” Yennefer ended in a softer tone, pointing toward the yard where Ciri was practicing sword fighting with Lambert. “Focus on the present and look at us, at her.”

“Looking.”

“Good, now go to your daughter, she needs you.” Yennefer said with a little smile gracing on her lips, while waiting for Geralt to move and reach the others, because she had something to do, and a bard to resurrect and then kill with her hand. Just for good measure.

She had work to do.
