Found out my soon-to-be ex boss completely, flat out lied to the lay leadership about why I'm leaving. He said in an email that I applied to the job at St. P's because it's more hours, higher pay, with health insurance and pension. None of that is true (other than them paying me a dollar more than my current pay, which he couldn't have known). So he sent this email without my consent, including information, which shouldn't have been in the email regardless of it being true or not. On top of it being a fucking LIE.

I've already written out what I plan to say to him tomorrow. That he wrote this information without my consent and it is not true. And I took this job offer as a direct result of my conversation with him and no longer feeling accepted by HIM. Not the larger church, not spc, but by HIM. I'm done being polite. I will explicitly express he is the sole reason I'm leaving. Not that he will give a shit, but it will all be out in the open then. He can't fucking hide behind his manipulation and arrogance with this. I'm so fucking angry and honestly triggered because this shit happened to me at hellhole--people lying about my character and no one believing what I said (and hellhole's priest specifically going after me with his lying campaign...so here is another fucking piece of shit priest lying about me).

On a happier note, A said she is super impressed with my speaking up more in the group about my needs (delegating tasks, etc.) and being "fiery" during our RJ role playing today. Laughing, she said that the yoga must be working its magic.

well, it looks like we officially got a high risk on saturday. its been a lil under a year since the last one. heres the link to see updates, look at the "convective outlook" part for this (linked in the massive pink banner at the top of the page)

especially if you're in that pink area, obviously its hard to predict HOW bad its gonna get cause even with all the tech weatherpeople still aint psychic, but just like. be careful. keep an eye on things and maybe figure out if theres storm shelters nearby just in case, keep an eye on the news, try to avoid watching clickbaity youtubers who call every single storm "the big one" and instead watch actual serious people, etc. from the day 1 outlook description:

A tornado outbreak is expected across the central Gulf Coast States and Deep South into the Tennessee Valley. Numerous significant tornadoes, some of which should be long-track and potentially violent, are expected this afternoon and evening. The most dangerous tornado threat should begin across eastern Louisiana and Mississippi during the late morning to afternoon, spread across Alabama late day into the evening, and reach western parts of the Florida Panhandle and Georgia Saturday night.

Whelp, everything is finalized with St. P’s, so new job is a go!

They met my salary request, which is higher than my current hourly rate. They met the days of the week and hours I will be in the office, so it won’t conflict with internship or my sessions. The position is guaranteed till the end of May (when I graduate). They did request a slight increase in hours/wk, but it is still doable for me.

So it all worked out! Giving my notice to spc on Wednesday and I start at St. P’s on August 11th. Just relieved I’m getting out of here. I’ve felt so uncomfortable and tense since that homophobic outburst by my boss. And he’s acting like it never happened. The fucker. I know the lay leadership will be pretty upset with me leaving. Trying not to feel guilty because they have been good to me over the years. While also knowing I’m doing what is best for me.

speaking of moving out, the twins are off to college! i guess solarhaze could have stayed with cezar, but i think odelia and genos are more than happy to be empty nesters.
