Getting Together

So training was going well enough. It had been only a week and a half since Iron Lad had found him in the old Avenger's Mansion, looting with Greg, and in that time he felt like he might be making fairly good friends with the future Kang and Patriot. He still didn't know what Patriot's real name was, but that would come in time. That would come when the group was a real team and fully trusted one another.

But today's training had been put on hold for the time being. Iron Lad informed the two that there was another, new recruit he'd be picking up today. So, patiently, Hulkling waited with Patriot inside the broken down mansion. 

"Well, it'll be nice not to be the newb anymore," Hulkling joked sideways towards Patriot, but the star-spangled sidekick didn't find it quite funny.

"He should have gone after this boy sooner so we could all work together. Now we're going to fall behind," Patriot complained. Hulkling decided to keep quite until Iron Lad came back. Clearly, Patriot wasn't fond on Iron Lad's methods and could twist anything into criticism of it. And, frankly, Hulkling didn't feel like greeting the new member of their team with a frown and a riled up Patriot.

He grinned happily upon seeing the smile and obvious enthusiasm from his brother, so he, without much of a warning, threw himself on the bed and successfully landed halfway across speedster’s body. “Well then… What do you have in mind?”

He sat up, leaning back on his own arms, shrugging. "Nothing actually, thoughtyoumighthave, since you came here...I'mprettymuchupforanything."

Erik had been enjoying a day at home when he heard the knocking on his door. He frowned, marked his page on the book he had been reading and went to answer the door. He was curious how they had gotten in without buzzing, since he lived in a secure building.

Erik opened the door and blinked in surprise when he saw Billy standing there. He looked hurt.

"Billy?" He asked, opening the door farther to let his grandson in. "What happened? How did you even find me?"

He leaned in and pecked Garth back just as he did, giggling lightly as the other moved away quickly with his cheeks red as a tomato. “You’re cute… Thank you.”

"I-I...uh...you're welcome?" he squeaked, turning away in an attempt to hide how red his face was.

His eyes widened as he saw the state of his brother, the moan catching him unprepared. “T-Tommy…? You okay…?” he asked carefully, eyes wide. “Did you ju-just… No… You’re in pain, right? What happened?”

Still panting, Tommy turned over to face Billy, completely red in the face and folded his arms. "Let'sjustsayyouowemeanewpairofpants."

He blushed hard as the other chuckled at his request, but before he got a chance to explain, he felt him peck his lips and he couldn’t help but smile while blushing brightly red. “Th-thanks…” He murmured and lowered his eyes shyly.

"Ah danke tis the season after all." He pointed out tapping his nose gently with his tail as he rocked back on his heels hands going up to tuck his tie back into his vest. He liked being out of uniform in neat suits that suited him and made him look his age.

Erik nudged Billy awake, as the boy had spent the night at his house. "Billy, it snowed last night!" Erik knew it was silly for a grown man to be excited, but it was the first snow, and enough to play in!

Erik thanked a god he wasn't sure existed that he was still young enough to play in the snow.

It had been three months since Teddy had started hanging around with Billy. Their friendship had started off great, they bonded over all things geek and Teddy had even started to hang around with him at School, much to the shock of everyone, including Billy.

The longer he spent with him, the stronger his feelings grew for the other boy. Eventually he gathered up the courage to ask Billy out properly, getting extremely happy when he accepted.

He spent the next few weeks going extremely slow with him, never doing anything to scare away the younger boy. The furthest they had gone was holding hands. But he didn't mind. He was happy
