i love gale so so so so much

but fuck does his initial reaction to the player beaming romantic thoughts into his head via weave make me wanna peel my skin off

don't get me wrong, it's cute, he's cute, i love it, its such a sweet bonding moment and I scream- but also when he has that initial shock and embarrassment before the elation settles in, it makes me want to die and that's not a criticism of him or anything because that is a very realistic and understandable why to respond even if he is genuinely interested but just didn't expect it

but as someone who is also very fucking awkward and rejection sensitive my immediate instinct every time is "Okay, swing and a miss, thanks for having me- gonna go kill myself now."

and I know he immediately goes like "No, no, I really like that- I really like this."

but realistically my ass would have already been jumping off the nearest cliff, like- all i heard from that narrator was the word embarrassment and I blacked out from shame, goodbye cruel world, here lies Snark, dead from wanting to hold a wizard's hand

#FELT THAT GOOD GOOD VINDICATION HOARDING SCROLLS THE ENTIRE TIME FOR ONE (1) TO FINALLY COME IN HANDY HAHAHAHAHAHFHGD #This fight was absolutely bananas - I was so close to restarting it when everything looked bleak but I didn't and I'm so glad #because it made for a very dramatic story lol #Rambling incoming:#I split the party really bad bc I wasn't super clear on the AOE lightning attack so when the second one rolled around Gale was the only-#-one able to take cover in the building...but I don't think it even worked??#Lae'zel was down long before then but Wyll and Croissant were in death saves #Used all of Gale's movement AND misty step to get to Croissant but he still couldn't get close enough & had to throw a potion #I think I used a potion of speed then so Croissant could cast globe of invuln right away #(and it took 10min of looking through my inventory to even see I had something to do bc otherwise we would've died right there don't @ me)#But then we were STILL too far away from Ansur for 60' spells so I had to keep running them out of the globe - using a spell - and then-#-mISTY STEPPING BACK INTO IT BC WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH MOVEMENT SPEED #it was rough but we made it #bg3 #baldur's gate 3 #bg3 spoilers #act III spoilers #ansur quest #croissant adventures #tav #ansur #gale #gale dekarios #breadweave #gale x tav #YEAH WE'RE PUTTING IT IN THAT TAG #comics

also! I like how you drew the lagging mirror with the colored like little outlines? Don’t know what to call it super cool though I like seeing how you interpreted and drew stuff from the books

Oh yeah- the oil slick colors! It's in a few art pieces with Jack specifically. Someone mentioned it months ago and it also stuck with me so now I kinda just have that attached.

Its kinda based on that sort of dark rainbow you get when a sheen of oil or gasoline is on the surface of water and the light hits it just right. Its very trippy and is frankly kinda damaging to everything around it and leaks everywhere and is hard to clean up once it gets spilled. There is something about that which reminds me of Jack and all the weird supernatural stuff as a visual motif.

#i forget who said it but it also very much sticks with me #something about how trippy it looks...#also that anything rainbow naturally is sorta hidden in the natural order of things #like the idea of ranbows and breaking up the natural light into dif spectrums #its always there but we dont see it?#like how everything about the gas station and jack is like normal at first glance but under the surface there is so much more #if i could explain it better i would #its a similar thing in my head to like color out of space #we just see the normal light but if you get a prism (gate) it splits and you can suddenly see all that lies below just out if view #clock rambles #tales from the gas station #tftgs
