Hmm time to list out some differences between different elves in feau, namely Martyn’s species and Scott’s:

Seasonal elves, KotS:

Martyn is a seasonal elf from the Kingdom of the Saplings world

The season the elf is born determines both their magic and some physical attributes

Martyn is a spring elf and as such has nature magic and bonus minor healing magic

Summer elves have fire magic, autumn elves have air magic, winter elves have water magic, and each season has a corresponding bonus magic only usable by elves born in that season (bonuses tbd) 

When the season changes, the elf loses the magic of the passing season and gains the magic of the new one, but they have their birth season magic year round (eg Martyn always has his nature and healing magic but when summer turns to fall he loses fire magic and gains air magic)

All elves in KotS gain attributes depending on the season they're born- spring elves like Martyn have green-tipped ears and fingers and can lightly photosynthesize

(I am still thinking what physical changes there are for other seasons)

If a seasonal elf ends up in a world where the seasons are different, their magic does its best to adapt- eg if someone was in a world with only wet and dry seasons, they might have air and water magic during the wet season and nature and fire magic during the dry

Seasonal elves have inherent magic- even if they never use it or practice it or study it, they can all use their season's magic

All seasonal elves have pointed ears but like, the short ear option in picrews

Seasonal elves are about 5'8"-6'2" feet tall

Culturally, the societies in KotS are very spread out and have little contact with each other, and elves rarely interact with human settlements

Martyn was raised in a human town by humans, and as such knows little about the different elven cultures in the KotS world

Rivendell elves, Empires:

Elves from Rivendell are usually in the 6 foot range

They have very long, flexible, and sensitive ears

They speak Sindarin Elvish

Rivendell mages practice primarily ice and light magic, though nothing is stopping anyone from learning something else

They do not have any inherent magic

Rivendell elves have a lifespan of around 200-400 years and physically age very slowly

they can, in fact, die from grief/a broken heart 

Rivendell culture is very distant and polite- physical contact between strangers is rare, and it is unthinkable to touch someone's ears without permission

They're highly adapted for the cold and high altitudes, and as a result eat more often than other species- culturally they have more meals per day and make a bigger deal out of food and mealtime in general

They have a wide range of skin tones, eye colours, and hair colours, including those not found in humans like purple and very vibrant reds

Other notes to come back to that are more culture and less species: wool, sheep, deer, gold, carrots, no religious buildings, jewelry and piercings, owls, bees and flowers

Grian: formerly human, now a Watcher. Has Watcher magic, minor illusion magic. Wings, full Watcher form.

Martyn: spring elf. Magic is season dependent, so has nature (spring) and air (autumn) magic for Last Life. Pointed ears.

Mumbo: human, minor redstone magic. 

Jimmy: formerly human, now semiaquatic. No magic. Webbed fingers and feet, gills that seal on land, fins, light scales.

Impulse: demon, with demon magic, life magic. Horns, tail.

Scar: human, nature magic and Vex magic via Pact. Blue vex wings.

Joel: human, formerly ogre. Life magic. Residual wolf traits from 3rd Life*.

Bdubs: human. Nature magic via jungle possession. Vines.

Etho: human. A lot of tricks up his sleeve, most frequently uses shadow walking and ice magic. Access to modspace.
