Funny fact, the 20th of April is also the same date as when the prophet of Islam Nabi Muhammad was birthed! Crazy amirite?

But anyways, I've gone through so many things. Both sad and also wonderful. Life sure is full of possibilities isn't it? I'm in a fandom about beans and suddenly I'm in a fandom about a Saturday morning cartoon mario shitpost? Never thought that would happen but it did, somehow.

The thing is, you'll never know what ever happens next! Prepared or not, you'll always be hit with the most unexpected occurrences. And that's the wonder of life! It's what keeps us interested and curious!

It's okay to change. I used to promise to myself that I would always stay in the among us fandom! But look where I am now. I used to think that I was a bad person for doing that, but now I realize that, it's okay! It's not like the end of the world happens when you leave a fandom you've been in for 3 years!

Looking back at old things may be cringe to most, but it's always nice to feel that nostalgia that you haven't felt in a while! It really shows how much you've grown for the past few years!

I used to be really terrible with animation. Like- really ass. But since 2024, my animations have started to become much better! It just takes time and patience. Thing won't always go your way and you shouldn't rush everything! [ Ironic considering that I always rush stuff 💀 ] Taking your time slowly but surely will pay out and you'll have a good result in the end!

Now those few past paragraphs I literally said earlier made no sense whatsoever considering I just talked about life but in a non rearranged order. So I'm sorry for that one 😭

But anyways, all I wanna say is, thank you. For everything. To everyone here! Involved or not, I could NOT be here if it weren't for you all! You can't BELIEVE how much it has impacted me! I sincerely love you all! 💜 <=3

I've just purchased a dip pen & ink like 10 mins ago bc apparently my Micron inking pen set is not very ideal tool to use :"( I've been drawing short comics for a while but holy cow I have to admit making manga is so hard, especially when I only have less than 2 hours per weekday to draw.

But I'm happy with the result hehe (except the handwriting makes it look so unprofessional ...) 😩

Ok here comes the real yap....

I've been thinking alot about how family background can shape each character's personality and their the way they act. I don't really like MC's neutral react in this scene (or almost every other scenes lol), they just didn't show much personality and pp around were just cool with whatever MC did haha.

Vi is such an ordinary girl, she was very well-raised in a happy family with loving & supportive parents and even she's a half-blood her parents didn't really care if she was a squib as long as she's happy. All that made her a very caring and compassionate person. She's also the one who (initially) always chooses to believe in the good sides of people. This made me question myself if this personality would lead to her mild conflict with Sebastian - who's already going through a lot.

Until now Violette is still too naive for this world, she still needs to be tougher and more determined...

I had so much fun writing this up as I drank my coffee this morning, thanks for making the templates @kiwiplaetzchen 🥹🙏

A little bit of backstory for Eloise - I’ll do an actual drawing etc etc in the future but for now if you’re interested!!:

Eloise has a brother, Leonard (Leo) who is a year older than her (I want to draw him soon!!) and her parents are both (unfortunately 😔🙏) still very much alive. If the family had continued to the 1930s, they would DEFINITELY have been part of the Sacred 28, making it the Sacred 29 instead. Her father was an only child so he inherited everything, and her mother is Elladora Babbit née Black, the woman who started the Black family tradition of beheading useless house elves😭 (and yes unfortunately that makes Headmaster Black Eloise’s uncle😫).

Eloise was kept a secret from the rest of magic society her whole life. In my imagination, the pureblood families have so much inbreeding amongst themselves that it’s not uncommon for them to give birth to squibs. Part of pureblood culture is not announcing they’ve given birth to a child until they’ve shown signs of magic - normally around 3/4 years old at most. When Eloise never showed ANY signs of magic, she was just their shameful secret. On her eleventh birthday when it was all but confirmed she was a squib, she was burned off the family tree and spent the next five years at a muggle finishing school. Always looking to take advantage of whatever they could get, however, Eloise’s parents arranged a marriage between her and the firstborn son of a wealthy muggle landowner when she came of age.

Her family had no idea that she was admitted to Hogwarts (they cut off all ties to her and disowned her) and Leo, who had always been fiercely protective of her growing up was simultaneously devastated and ecstatic that he could see his sister again. It’s been really hard to repair the relationship though, as there is a lot of resentment that they cannot get over even though they want to😭. And, for as much as her parents dictated everything about how her life has gone, Eloise can’t help but try to work hard to get their love and approval as it’s all she ever thought she wanted. And now that she’s in a position to become the daughter they’ve always desired, she feels a lot of resentment towards herself. She feels as if she’s betraying the young girl who was abandoned by her family, because she wants their approval so badly (it will take a while for her to get over this😔🙏)

In terms of the personality I did it a bit like the sims where I just max things out bc I think everything in the middle is boring jajajaja. But:

Shy: not shy in the sense she can’t talk to other people and she isn’t necessarily socially awkward. She just doesn’t always know what to say and will remain silent if she thinks she has nothing to add to a conversation instead of yapping away (BUT unfortunately rambles and over explains herself to not be misunderstood when she does talk, THANKS narcissistic mother), and normally she wishes people would ignore her. When the Daily Prophet article came out about her “miraculous” recovery and introduction to magical society she HATED it & she HATES all of the people trying to talk to her and befriend her.

Active: NOT active as in super energetic. She just wakes up really early and always needs to keep herself busy. She gets anxious if she doesn’t have anything to do - but, she includes thinking as doing something, and often retreats into her thoughts and doesn’t realize when people are talking to her.

I think grouchy and nice can exist together so with this one I put it in the middle. She’s both simultaneously😭

Aaaand with cowardly/brave, she thinks she is really cowardly for going back to her parents so easily and wanting their love so badly, and hates herself for it (not realizing it’s an accumulation of a lifetime of emotional trauma). But lots of times when things get very high-stakes she will jump in and do incredibly reckless things without thinking of the consequences, although if she stopped to think before she acted she would definitely NOT do them. So maybe brave in actions, cowardly on the inside (IDK)

If you read all of this I love you!! I want to share more about her but this was getting crazy long jajajajajajaja😇🙏

i want to quickly talk about phineas nigellus black's elder brother sirius. sirius black i was born in 1945 and died in 1953 when he was only 7-8 years old, and i find that positively FASCINATING. sure maybe he caught some disease or died of normallish causes but i VASTLY prefer to think that he was a squib. i raise you;: sirius black i was a squib and he was killed for it.

his younger siblings phineas nigellus, iola, and elladora, who had idolized their elder brother, were obv horrified—and phineas nigellus, the next oldest of the three siblings left, was extremely pro-squib as a result. he despised those of lesser blood, yes — but not squibs.

(these quiet values of phineas nigellus' seeped into his youngest sister iola, who took it a step further — she married a muggle named bob hitchens and was blasted off the tree by her father cygnus i for it.

and just imagine the guilt and the pain and the horror from her older siblings. elladora, who was like her best friend. phineas, who she had followed around like a duckling. & sirius i, who died before she ever got to know him. iola was their SISTER. )

when phineas nigellus, head of the family, was told that his grandson marius was a squib, he ignored the clamor from marius' father cygnus, the pressure from the family to cut the boy's life short — he had marius quietly disowned and adopted into the muggle world. marius' life was upended and destroyed at the age of eight, but he lived. he would recover. and this knowledge would sit in phineas nigellus' stomach and warm him as he drifted off into his final sleep.

yapping about them rq because ugh I’m in the mood for a tragic romance.

in my lore, sebastian and raegan are sort of the “main characters” — and the source of everyone’s problems 💀 ominis and Diana, respectively; are their best friends, but that’s not the only thing they share. they both wind up dragged into their friends’ schemes when all they really want is some damn peace and quiet.

sebastian, as we know, manipulates ominis (whether knowingly or not) into treading down a path he swore he’d never follow. seb starts lying, going behind his back… which culminates in him becoming the very thing ominis most despise. and by the end, ominis has pretty much lost all faith and truth in his best friend.

raegan doesn’t exactly manipulate diana, because at first she’s also a bit wary about Sebastian’s predilection towards dark magic. but things change, she starts to see the world differently, and when it comes down to it — she changes her mind, while diana never wavers. raegan absorbs the repository’s magic, accidentally kills fig, and diana loses her that night too.

they both grow up with disdainful and controlling parents (save for diana’s father); purebloods of high status who are expected to uphold the standards of their good names. but diana is believed to be a squib; with a behavioral disorder to boot, while ominis is blind and the black sheep in terms of values and beliefs.

both of them wind up channeling a lot of their pain into their crafts. diana is a painter, and ominis a piano player and composer. in time, they become each other’s muses without even realizing.

bro idk they just understand and empathize with each other better than anyone else. dear god they’re actually so sweet and wholesome and supportive I just wanna cry (and I wrote this shit).

The Zenin clan values powerful cursed techniques above all else and rejects their own family members if they don't deem their power acceptable. It does sound very familiar to a certain The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, who reject their own when it comes to values and power (squib). If we think about it, being a squib it's to a certain degree the level of sorcerers who can't see curses. I would love to see Sirius Black as Toji/Maki????? Also, I beg you Mai and Maki as Sirius and Regulus?!!!!

I was thinking of two alternatives for Marlene:

Illegitimate child of the Gojo clan or relative of the Gojo clan through her shared ancestry 

In which here I was thinking that she is introduced to the school by Gojo, the Six Eyes user of this au, perhaps a situation like Megumi, in which a trusted person who maybe did kindness to Gojo, told him that they had a child somewhere and she was could see curses and wanted Gojo to help her.

7.) The reason behind why Val wasn't able to join Hogwarts until the 5th year was because she was actually considered a 'Squib' back then. This particular reason stirred several dramas in her family. Given that she's part of the House of Black did not help (a part of her that she's not proud of, btw). Even if she was brilliant as a kid, yet she never really displayed any signs of magic that could get her admitted to Hogwarts. She was almost disowned because of it but was sent to a muggle boarding school instead. Until an accident happened in her boarding school that she unknowingly caused that time. Little did she know that she was the reason for the fire that destroyed her dormitory. This event marks the birth of her actual magical ability. Then BAM, this is where the canon events begin—the acceptance letter, the training with Professor Fig, etc.

15.) Val is the type to feel her emotions deeply. With all that has happened, naturally, she was overwhelmed, but in a way that she knows she can't break just yet. Then, when the classes have ended. This kid took a week to make sure everything was alright and kept in check—at least those that she could handle with the best that she could. After that, she isolated herself so that she could cry and feel all of her emotions. Val decided to take refuge to her parents' old house somewhere in the Scottish Highlands, far from people, places, and the memories that haunt her. She stayed there for around two weeks, and when she got tired of feeling sad, that's when she decided to get a part-time job in Hogsmeade at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. It was a good way for her to clear her mind amidst all the consequences that she had to face in the present.

19.) Like her name (Valentine), this kid actually has a few 👀 However, her main love interest and the one that really has her heart is Garreth Weasley. She actually sort of hated him at first because of that one potions class XD Val loves potions and she was really hoping to leave a good first impression on Professor Sharp, et voilà, the trouble with Garreth. Even so, she tried to be civil with him while he always attempted to impress her (which usually fails, unfortunately). Sometimes, Val would randomly prank Garreth just to annoy him in return. Their romance was actually sort of a slow burn for Val, at least. As for Garreth, he was always sure about it. This kiddo fell for him because he made her feel seen, heard, and safe; seen in a way that he sees her for who she really is and not just what most people think; heard in a way that he would always listen to her yaps no matter what it is; most importantly, safe in a way that she feels comfortable and content around his presence.

Also, fun fact! But in the universe where she exists with the other MCs or OCs, she also has a crush 🤫 (from Gryffindor, too)

23.) When I was designing my MC, I was just sort of going with the flow. All I could remember was that my intuition went 'pink kinda looks adorable, let's go with a pink theme'. Truth be told, I didn't even have a lore back then, but somehow, it worked out in the end. As for the change, for Valentine, I would usually play with her hair color and hairstyles, and that's when it clicked to me that suddenly I have an idea what story I would make for her. By that, I decided to make a part of Val's characteristic that she dresses up in order to express how she is feeling, and also one of her mottos — 'depressed, but well-dressed ' AHAHAHA basically that's how this all started XD And yes, there are a few bumps along the way, but I wouldn't change a thing — take the lesson then move forward ✨️

27.) If Val wasn't sorted in Slytherin, she'd definitely be in Gryffindor or maybe Ravenclaw.

Although chances are higher in Gryffindor. For one, Val is very ambitious (hence why is she in Slytherin), and alongside that ambition is the courage and determination to create her visions & desires to life. At the same time, she does not shy away from fighting for what she believes is right and fighting for those she loves and even the deemed 'underdogs'.

As for the Ravenclaw part, Val takes pride in educating herself to anything she can get her hands to, especially when she was younger. But as she grows up, she finds herself learning more about certain topics/subjects that pique her interests, improving if you will. Additionally, this kiddo values originality.

And yes, this mf was a hatstall.

okay it took me awhile to type this all out because midterm week was HELL but its over so now its yap time!

i already said i was from a family of ivy league academics and the sole heir of a gloomy fae lord, so i wanna talk about my family for a bit.

my mom passed when i was young, and my stepfather raised me as a single parent studying astrophysics in seattle. when i was 10, we moved to cambridge ma (and moved in with my maternal aunt, uncle, and cousins- more on them later) because my dad got a position at harvard as a professor of astrophysics, astronomy, and physics. while there he met my now-stepmom, a professor of theology and philosophy.

my maternal aunt is a professor of social work at northwestern and my uncle is a professor of botany at harvard (can you tell i have a favorite school?)*. my two little cousins, levi june (12) and lawrence jay (11) are almost polar opposites- levi is a sports-obsessed energetic class clown, and lawrence is a quiet and anxious thing who helps his dad in the garden and took home a stray kitten when he found her in a puddle. i love my family ❤️

speaking of family, my birth dad! i’m using dnd’s lore for the fae, and my dad is kannoth- the vampire lord of cendriane. i scripted that he dad a duke-esque position in the unseelie court because hello i would like to be a marchioness, thank you very much. he doesn’t know i exist just yet. but he will.

also, my birth mom was the child of a squib from a very old wizarding family, and unlike her older sister she had some magical talent herself. she spent her first 4 years at ilvermorny, and the final 3 at hogwarts when she moved to the uk with her father after her parents divorced. she moved back to the us for college, had an affair with a certain fae lord in the summers, and met my stepdad during her phd program at uwashington.
