Oh,,,,,, truly he has Run Out of patience at that point I fear,,,,,,, but he’s very good at going through the motions 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ comes off as a real gentleman, if a bit eager to Get Married.

I kinda shut down for a few months after my second husband’s death—it’s just so sudden and so soon after the wedding it shocks me greatly—and he doesn’t wanna scare me off so he waits twiddling his thumbs until I finally attend a dance, and he pounces then without a Teaspoon of shame LOL makes his interest very apparent by asking me for a dance and blatantly keeping by me the whole night………

The gifts start appearing at my door after that, mostly flowers and little impersonal things like perfume or sweets. As it continues he makes them more directed towards me, lots of writing supplies and books, and often he’ll have annotated the books. He refrains from sending letters which is a bit odd but he doesn’t trust himself enough to initiate that kinda communication 🫣

He also starts popping up Everywhere. Hes not big on participating in court culture but for the months he’s courting me he shows up at p much every event I do, and I kinda gaslight myself into thinking it’s just coincidence LMFAOOOOO he’s always a bit rigid himself except when it’s a hunt, where he is quite Visibly more in his own element. I find it kinda adorable.

But he’s actually very charming I feel!!! Again he plays the gentleman part very well, he’s already quite observant and pretty attuned to what makes me comfortable so within a few meetings I’m very at ease around him. He is Very careful not to seem too eager or like he knows too much even tho he like. Has known everything about me for years oops but it works out well. Hes actually a bit touchy too—hands lingering even when we’ve stopped dancing and on more than one occasion feeding me things. If the dragon arms instead of gloves concept is real this is Even More insane bc I think he’s only touching me w gloves on and later learn oh he was just. rawdogging that shit the whole time right out in public Jesus Fucking Christ

(If we assume he’s from Natlan, I think he actually just doesn’t rlly vibe w court culture that much, it’s all very stifling and prevents one from expressing themselves well. In my head we have a little discussion where he “jokingly” implies he has to resist the urge to just take me and stop bothering w any pretense, which I much later on realize Was Not At All A Joke)

And he def makes visits to my house 🥺 those r his favorite parts icl. Hates having to put on a show in public but loves being able to just sit across from me and get me talking……… at this point he’s giving me those books in person and tbh I think sometimes he insists I read them there as he sits and stares at me silently 😵‍💫 freak behavior truly.

My family does approve of him but we all also know it wouldn’t matter if they didn’t…….. he’s the first harbinger there’s not much to be done if he wants to marry someone. We r all just happy he’s going through the proper motions and seems to be focusing on earning me the right way (not that his reputation would imply otherwise but it’s just smthn that Lingers in all our minds). I think he’s probably proposing within a month or two, and then the wedding ends up Additionally expedited, so it’s all quite fast pfft. And then it’s….. the two or three years of us being married but still kinda avoiding each other rip LMFAOOOOOOO anyway ty for asking!!!

answering these out of order bc the first is Lengthy so its going under the cut....... capitano kisses me sooooooo gingerly tbh he has to hold himself back so much. if hes not careful he'll go in for a quick peck on his way out and suddenly he's got his tongue down my throat in front of all his aides and every servant in the manor 😭😭😭 when we r alone its less about propriety and more bc he doesnt wanna overwhelm me so its always a game of me goading him into something heavier.

i think he is a waist grabber above all else....... very prone to putting two big ol hands on either side to set me somewhere (his desk, the edge of the tub, a balcony railing, etc) and just not quite letting go.............. also a frequent corset ripper bc those damn things just get in the way too much. likes to run his fingers up my spine to make my back arch while his thumb is pressed into my stomach n kinda squeeze. and ofc a huge fan of slinging an arm around my waist n throwing me over his shoulder ty.

The full capitano story is sooooo long and convoluted i fear LMFAOOOOOO and possibly subject to change when he actually shows up pfft but for now its the selfship where i dabble in the dynamic being kinda fucked up 🫣 he actually kills my first suitor and then subsequently the two husbands i have before he swoops in and basically pulls rank to marry me himself. there r "valid" reasons for all three of these he'd like to think he would let me be if i found a good man but clearly im incapable of it so he fancies himself a bit of a guardian ig......... have said this before but he has creepy prinecess/knight in shining armor fantasies n justifies uh. killing all the men who have ever touched me w that.

the first one is just a suitor like i said; we’re not engaged yet but it’s all but an arranged marriage bc my family is. Basically being strongarmed into it. The kill happens at a hunt—I genuinely don’t know Capitano at all at this point, and he has No idea I exist.

i have to make my suitor a cutesy lil embroidered handkerchief as like a token of my affection but im like Hell No bc my suitor is A Piece Of Shit so i give it to capitano instead, bc hes so high ranking that my suitor cant rlly complain and he gets a lot so it doesnt rlly mean much. orrrrr rather it Shouldn't but jokes on me, he actually sees me hand it off to his aide and hes kinda Immediately infatuated.

so much so that when my suitor approaches him just before the hunt to basically wheedle him into handing it off, he refuses—in fact this specifically sparks a Very specific delusion of like. viewing me as a damsel in distress pleading for help.

its not premeditated at all but once the hunt begins he overhears my suitor and his friends saying some Very Rude And Then Explicit Things Abt Me and hes like nvm u have chosen death. its a hunt, nobodys gonna think anything of a stray arrow……….

and then when he sees my reaction (thinking it was an accident; feigned shock but Clearly relieved), im kinda done for, the obsession has sunk in. he keeps tabs on me from then on.

the first husband i marry like a year after the suitor’s death. he’s a fatui officer, one of capitano's own men who commands guards at zapolyarny palace. capitano still has not openly expressed interest and is in a bit of a self-deprecating moment of not wanting to approach me, and this guy’s one of his underlings and is v sweet and seems very into me so he lets it happen. we get married and for many years we r genuinely happy.

but then he starts to stray……. capitano learns of this quickly. he’s got informants still reporting p much everything i and everyone close to me do, so hes told when my husband starts frequenting brothels and spending a bit too much time out of the house. unfortunately hes out on a campaign so he cant take care of things himself; hes forced to transfer my husband to the front lines and let the battlefield finish the job.

which is fine, tho it means i never know about the cheating and for a good few years capitano deems me still too much in mourning for him to make a move—bc, like, from my perspective the love of my life had a terrible accident on the battlefield yk. he’s solidly decided hes the only one who can be trusted and Intends to finally make his interest known……. but he waits too long. he’s sent on a campaign which drags on far longer than intended and when he returns ive remarried.

the ceremony happened literal days before he arrived, so rushed his informants didn't even have the time to warn him. this one is another fatui, but the kind that grates on capitano. one of pantalone’s top men—a slimy financier with a gross little grin and fingers in every pie. a man far too assured when he seeks out capitano as soon as he settles in, walks into his office with the confidence of someone who knows more than he ought to.

he offers to whore me out. capitano isn't even sure what the man would have demanded in return, because he's cut him down the moment the words come out of his mouth.

he begins planning before the body is even removed, determined not to make the same mistakes again. frankly he'd have begun courting me that day but he gives me a bit of time to mourn first; lets me move back into my parents' home, keeps tabs on me enough to know when i finally begin to emerge from my chambers and allow visitation from friends.

the first ball i attend is when he approaches me. and it's hardly proper, he knows, to express such obvious interest in a widow of a mere few months, but he thinks my second husband would have done this if he could so capitano has no guilt. the marriage is so rushed he actually can't even attend—he's sent off on campaign suddenly before the ceremony, and though he's only supposed to be gone for a month he insists it proceed without him, all too anxious for what might happen if he doesn't lock me down.

and then it's a slow burn After we r married i fear bc i am so weepy and volatile for very obvious reasons n once im over that ive convinced myself it's a marriage of convenience (that he approached me bc i know how to manage a household and won't be too eager for his attention like a younger, less experienced bride would be) and he's actually. rlly flustered and a bit timid around me tho nobody would Know it lmfaoooooo hes terrified of scaring me off & is actually pretty content just seeing me around his manor so its a game of us flitting around each other for a while..........

eventually i think i do confront him bc we havent. consummated the marriage and that kinda ticks me off ("i get that it didnt mean much to you but damn u dont wanna touch ur wife that badly???") and hes like O.O bc HE was just leaving me to my own devices bc he didnt wanna overstep. very cliched i kiss him he gets a "if we dont stop now i wont be able to control myself" moment and then the floodgates r opened......... frankly its like a belated honeymoon the way we do Not leave my chambers for like two whole weeks. many confessions from him at that time i am v much left in a daze of holy shit wdym hes been in love w me for yrs and still has that handkerchief from when i was like nineteen

orchid — what does your home look like?

i think,,,,,, we have a big cold manor (basically a palace) out in the middle of nowhere that he bought while courting me which he intended to be a quiet, easily protected & out of the way home to ostensibly cage me........ but we also have a townhouse for when he has to be in the capitol. he has so little time to be with me that we end up spending most of our time together there and he Is a bit bitter abt it. the manor is rlly huge and i have an entire wing to myself at first (it faces the entrance and i take to hovering at my windows/balconies whenever he returns to watch him...), it's fairly oppressive seeming but its got a bunch of greenhouses and gardens and libraries that he carefully planned to give me things to do. the staff keep their distance and while hes home there r lots of military milling about but everyone's on strict orders not to bother me so they tend to keep their distance. the townhouse is a bit homier; i end up with more control over it + its smaller so it ends up v similar to my wing at the manor. theres a nice library and greenhouse there too where i spend most of my time... my social calendar tends to be pretty filled up when im in the capitol which is Why he hates it so much so we dont stay there if he can help it HJSBDFJHB he likes me nice and isolated im afraid.

actually gray asked me this a while back and all that info has largely stayed the same so you can read it there!!! but some additions for bait and lady specifically bc theyve Evolved a bit:

sharkbait shows up a few months into my Post-Boarding Girlrot Phase (aka the great depresso) and his presence actually helps me a shitton w getting me out of that hole. just having another living being that i have to take care of/raise/socialize—& a warm body next to me in bed whenever shanks is gone—helps a lot and i make some pretty drastic improvement as a result. shanks..... has conflicted feelings about that, mostly bc that Notable Improvement once the cat is introduced makes him feel wildly inadequate wrt helping me. those first few weeks after bait appears are the worst his mental state is throughout the whole ordeal im afraid, and he tries to play it off as jokes bc he knows its irrational + its just a kitten + does not want to upset me w blatant distaste towards it but he Really cannot stand the sight of bait for that first month. eventually tho they r very much that "dad didnt want a cat [pic of him sleeping cuddled up w it]" meme which honestly is also what happens w him and luffy so. canonically accurate i suppose.

It is. A long time coming it’s a few yrs into our marriage + many, many years into capitano pining after me so there’s A Lot of pent-up lust there I’m afraid JENCKSNFKE starts off w a very heated (on my side) discussion on the balcony off my room when he gets home from a campaign, that’s where I first kiss him and where he gets his lil “if you don’t stop I won’t be able to hold back” moment.

It genuinely is a dam bursting moment I am entirely blown away by how passionate he is bc??? It’s been yrs and he’s been so distant n stoic and honestly a bit cold??? I’ve almost wondered if he was ignoring me and now here he is acting like kissing me is more important than breathing and he cannot possibly get close enough oop. In fact he gets the whole recreate our hypothetical wedding night idea (from this post) when he picks me up n takes me back inside and then it takes him So Long to get to the door n fetch a maid bc he’ll go to pull away and then come back half a second later LOL insanity.

WHEEEEEEE ofc ofc I will gush abt them all always 🙏🏻 on a base level none of these cats r purebreds or anything they’re all strays either organically found or adopted from a shelter/another home. also there r so many pics i cant make them smaller so everything is utc

Gagamaru and I have one cat that was originally mine, Kabocha. He’s very sweet but is a bit flighty and takes a long time to warm up to Gagamaru; the first time I rlly have the hes the one thought is when I walk in on him napping on my couch w Kabo tucked into the crook of his arm dozing away bc!!!! It’s the first time he’s been comfortable enough to sleep on anyone other than me. Very himbo cat, absolutely gorgeous but total dumbass.

Kuroo and I have three cats! I had two and he had one when we combined households we were veeeeeeery careful w introducing them 🥺 he’s had a grouchy old lady for as long as I’ve known him. Her name is Suki and he took her in as a stray after an elderly neighbor’s son let her loose; she adores him and it’s slow going but she comes to adore me as well. I had a cat that passed a few weeks after I met him and then didn’t have any pets for a while, but then abt half a year before we move in together he stumbles across a trio of kittens on his way to a date w me and the date devolves into us getting them care……. One unfortunately doesn’t make it :( but I end up taking in the other two; they’re a lil girl and boy named Mizuki and Hoshi. Old lady is tolerant of them but they’re def a bit too energetic for her so the only times they rlly interact r when they’re in a puddle together napping…. Suki is the calico, Mizuki and Hoshi r the white ones! Once they’re fully grown they’re both bigger than her, tho Hoshi is an absolute unit and is the biggest by quite a bit

I believe I’ve said this once but. I have a perpetual series of completely normal housecats w Jing Yuan pfft I try my best but they have an unfortunate tendency of hunting his finches :( I only ever have one-three at a time and ofc I adore them all but I do end up w like fifty over the course of our lives together LMFAOOOOO including a few lil lineages where I kept many generations down the line!!! But the three that I’ve thought about r Jade and her kittens Bei and Feng (Yanqing named those two……) bc they’re the ones I have over the course of Mimi’s life. Mimi is a co-parent in their odd little pride, she and Jade grew up together and are very bonded n constantly exasperated by their rambunctious boys……. just like me and mine, though Yanqing and Jing Yuan constantly protest that comparison 🫣

i Have talked abt shanks before but its funny to me so. this lil scrawny tuxedo kitten ends up following me onto the red force one day (bc i fed it) and nobody realizes until we've set off.... i am told i Cannot name it or get attached bc we Will be leaving it on the next island....... except the crew ends up getting attached and they name it sharkbait. SHARKBAIT. FOREVER bitter NEVER getting over it every time shanks and i get into any kind of fight i bring it up "ALSO YOU TOLD ME I COULDNT NAME THE DAMN CAT AND NOW ITS NAMED SHARKBAIT YOU STILL OWE ME" (he will never stop owing me)

Lil bonus bc he’s been on the mind for months now: Capitano is not a cat person in fact when I first ask for one he gets me a pair of massive guard dogs that I stubbornly refuse to name at first and then end up calling Fluffy and Cuddles out of pure spite. Then I bitch enough that he does get me a kitten who Absolutely Fucking Despises Him tries to rip him to shreds every time he gets in bed with me (a week in he admits he finds it endearing but she does get kicked out of the room regularly when he wants alone time) I call her Lady she is a very elegant girl when she is not trying to murder him and actually gets along very well w the dogs, much to Capitano’s chagrin

Okay so I have to start w Gagamaru and. This is a VERY chill wedding tbh so v casual wedding dress v cute v picnic-y. Also the obligatory teuta matoshi dress but (GASP SHOCK) actually the only one on here I know super crazy but that’s just how it played out

Next we have Kuroo and ngl I kinda searched and searched for this bc my vision was more lacy? So I’m throwing that middle image in bc I kinda want u to imagine that fabric w the other dress pattern. Kinda modern but very elegant. We had a garden wedding in a greenhouse bc his grandparents can’t travel well and we were v limited to a local area

Now we have jing yuan and this is COMPLICATED and I rlly don’t wanna get into everything but like I said in the tags of ur post we have two weddings, a traditional Xianzhou one on the Luofu and then one on my homeworld (which is retrofuturism based so very western coded). Both of these dresses r for the one on my homeworld tho! This is the one I wear for the ceremony

and then for the reception I change into this one, which is what I’m wearing in that lil photo I described where we both finally have a moment to ourselves and end up in this giddy lil puddle of happy tears
