Character Actor

Oliver Clark (born January 4, 1939)   Film and television character actor.

Two of his best-known TV characters were John Doe #6 on the NBC drama St. Elsewhere, a likeable and humorous psychiatric patient, and Mr. Herd, a patient of psychologist Bob Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show, a long-running CBS situation comedy. He played Mr. Belding in the original pilot of the series Good Morning Miss Bliss but was subsequently replaced by Dennis Haskins.   Clark also played Roger Barton on an episode of The Golden Girls.  

Clark also appeared on two episodes of M*A*S*H, Season 5, Episode 16 "38 Across" and in Season 6, Episode 20 "Mail Call Three".  

Clark also played roles on Barney Miller, appearing in six episodes.  

Clark was a regular on the 1975 situation comedy Karen. In 1977, he appeared in an episode of the ABC crime drama The Feather and Father Gang.

During the 1977-1978 season he starred in the series We’ve Got Each Other with Beverly Archer.  

In the 1981-1982 series he was a regular in the series The Two of Us with Peter Cook and Mimi Kennedy.  

In 1990 he appeared in 2 or 3 episodes of Life Goes On as teacher Mr. Leighton.

In 1995, he had a guest appearance on the sitcom Full House.   (Wikipedia)

My least favorite 'fun fact' of all time is that when the medical drama St. Elsewhere ended, they decided to show a kitten dying during the end credits. Cause, you know, that finale wasn't depressing enough already.

Chapter 4 is up! We're back to the library in this chapter. Toni and Jeffrey learn that both her supervisor and new co-worker are fans of his work and have read all of his books. However, Jeffrey gets annoyed by both of them because the supervisor thinks he's dead and the new co-worker is a little too friendly to Toni. 

But will he warm up to both of them? Guess time will tell. 

This chapter turned out to be longer than originally planned, so I moved the smut to Chapter 5. Stay tuned when that happens as well as Jeffrey dealing with his biggest demon afterwards, the memory of his abusive mother. 

Author's Note: Toni's new coworker is the one-off minor character, Ryan Hope, from the show, St. Elsewhere portrayed by my favorite voice actor and fellow Midwesterner, Rob Paulsen. I posted about this character a couple of days ago and I just loved him so much I had to use him. He's just so cute in that episode IMO. 😍

... E então, uma flor brotou na areia. Na semana seguinte ao enterro de Marina, eu procurei abrigo em qualquer coisa que me aproximasse de minha amiga. Qualquer pedaço de texto, foto, arte, mas principalmente - a música. A música, que primeiro nos uniu, que primeiro me abrigou em meus mais profundos vazios. Peguei meu violão, fui para a sala da casa de meu pai e toquei uma música, para espantar a solidão e me aproximar de Marina. Toquei St. Elsewhere, de Gnarls Barkley. Meu hino pessoal, a música onde crio novas cicatrizes, novas marcas e dores. Música que me alivia. Música também que apresentei para Marina, e que fiquei feliz ao saber que o álbum a tocou tanto quanto tocou a mim! Gnarls Barkley, essa banda que, com quem compartilhei e verdadeiramente se emocionou, entra para um clube secreto em minha mente. Marina fazia parte desse clube... Mas estou divagando. Toquei, no meio da sala vazia (e com poucos móveis, já que a mudança de meu pai é recente). A música pareceu ecoar mais profundamente, rebatendo nas paredes e voltando para mim de todos os lados. "Send a simple sign, I can understand. Then a flower grew out that sand", cantei. E, no meio daquela tarde cansada, quente, ensolarada, começou a garoar. Uma chuva fina, que de primeira, nem percebi. Na verdade, só a percebi quando olhei para a vidraça da varanda, que começou a ficar cheia de respingos. Mas o céu estava limpo, e o amarelo avermelhado ainda se fazia nos prédios a frente. Eu entendi o sinal. Entendo que você me entende. E sei que os dias bonitos não são ironias, nem as alegrias. Por isso chorei. Por Marina eu choro. Por Marina, os céus desabam, mesmo em meio ao sol. You may know her as Barbara Thorndike in Golden Girls, Grace Snider Edwards in Little House on the Prairie, Ellen Craig on St. Elsewhere, Lila Bolander on Boy Meets World and many more other characters. She is also married in real life to William Daniels who played Mark Craig in St. Elsewhere and George Feeny in Boy Meets World who later on became Lila's husband.
