Which Fate characters would be Gundam fans, and which Gundam characters would be Fate fans

you really had to go and pick huge franchises with tons of characters didn't you. I'm so sorry but for the sake of my sanity I'll just pick a few bc I could think abt this for weeks

ok so for Fate characters that would be Gundam fans. I think Iskandar would be super into Gundam bc of how it explores war themes-he would be super partial to Stardust Memory and the 08th MS Team. I feel like he could be a hardcore fan. Mordred too would be super into it but mostly bc he thinks the gundams are super cool and bc the battles are fantastic? He'd end up liking Seed the most tho bc he has no critical thinking skills. Astolfo would love it too to an embarrassing degree I feel, but he'd mostly enjoy the Build Fighters series and get really into gunpla too. Nero would really enjoy it too, and she'd be very passionate abt the UC, Unicorn would be her favorite.

now for the opposite, it'd be really funny if Kamille and Judau got into FGO. They could talk abt it for days. Kamille loves Hercules and Judau loves Astolfo. Amuro never got into the mobile game but definitely watched all of the anime and the visual novel and is a diehard Artoria fan. The three of them try really hard to relate to each other thru their shared passion for fate but Kamille and Judau have only watched fate stay night. Char also plays the mobile game and he sucks at it, never gets the servants he wants and his fave is Medea.

When you do manage to glimpse at DIO’s memories from within your dreams. It is always within a tiny dark space, with a skull as your only companion, and crushing loneliness. 

Reaching Bond Level 5 with DIO will allow you to see bits of his childhood. 

In his first ascension, he takes his form from Stardust Crusaders. While in his Final Ascension, he regains his look from Phantom Blood! Since to me, I really think that form he had during PB was him at his peak ; ) 

His Noble Phantasm: The World is a single target Buster NP that has him stopping time and delivering a Stand Rush to the enemy where he finishes it off with a terrifyingly precise knife throw to their heart that has a chance of inflicting death on the enemy! 

A Servant who you cannot fully trust, always make sure to have a Command Seal ready against him!! 

I think that DIO never really sees you as his Master, at your closest, he will consider you something like the only other friend he has ever had. 

You are equals. Not Master and Servant. Equals. 

Giorno

Giorno is a Ruler servant! 

“Ruler, my True Name is Giorno Giovanna. It’s nice to meet you again, _____. As promised, this time, I will help you fulfill your dream.” 

NUMBER 1 FOR STALLING TEAMS. 

His Noble Phantasm, Golden Experience Requiem allows him to reset the game makes it so any damage inflicted on the team is nullified and reflected back to the enemy (basically somehow a teamwide, Verg Avesta?) 

During the events of a certain Singularity in Italy, Giorno was allowed to be summoned within Chaldea. 

WHEN YOU ARE SAD HE WILL DEFINITELY DO THE THING WHERE HE STUFFS HIS WHOLE EAR IN HIS HEAD. 

He somehow manages to retain his memories from the Singularity? He remembers how you helped him and thus he grows to be very attached to you. 

When you walk around during Singularities, he likes making random things bloom and he puts it in your hair. 

Joins the insanely protective over Master squad!!!! 

While he is never as overtly Yandere as Kiyohime, Serenity, or Mama Raikou, I can see him pinning a ladybug on you or perhaps some other flower to track you. 

(I feel like with his childhood, he’s very clingy to his Master.) 

He will not abandon you, even when he is on the verge of death. 

So don’t you go abandoning him either. 

Caesar

“Archer, Caesar Zeppeli. I look forward to working with you, Master.” 

Chaldea Daycare trio (Jack, Nursery, and Jalter Lily) are always pestering him to make them bubbles. 

One of the easier Servants to work with! 

His Interlude has you facing off with a Shadow Servant Wamuu. He laments the fact that he had been unable to stand with Joseph at the very end when it came to facing the Pillar Men. He tells you that he’s happy he has a kind and capable Master like you by his side. 

You are there to reassure him that this time, he will never have to face any terrifying enemy by himself. 

I CAN SEE HIM SUPER DUPER GETTING ALONG WITH GAWAIN. 

Never fails to put a blush on Master’s face. 

When you learn of Caesar’s memories through your dreams, you resolve to make it so that he’ll be able to meet with Joseph. You want them to receive closure at the very least. 

He is right by your side when rainbow sparks glimmer around the summoning circle and....

Joseph 

“Yo~ So you’re my Master, huh? Try not to make me work too hard, alright!” 

Much like Hijikata Toshizo, he is one of the few Berserkers who is capable of thinking up insane strategies. 

His Madness Enhancement is very low. Manifesting only as an insane stubbornness and an unwillingness to divulge the full details his outlandish strategies. 

Poor Joseph, he’s a good farming servant too after all ;;;; 

His skill ‘The Secret Joestar Technique” grants himself Evasion for 3 turns as well as an 30% NP charge. 

Joseph likes hanging out in your room and taking things easy. 

Helps you hide from Emiya, Leonidas, and the other Servants when you have to train.

The two of you get scolded by Bedivere promptly after you guys get caught. 

Having accomplished everything he could ever want in life, surrounded by a loving family, Joseph tells you he has no real wish for the Holy Grail. Though, if presented with the Grail, he certainly has one or two wishes of his own. One of his regrets is definitely not being there enough for a certain boy...

1. Favourite servant?

After all this time I think it’s still the original Saber…I ended up starting the Fate series for her and eventually fell in love with Rin (and of course Sakura) but I also really like Medusa and Iskandar, and Jeanne (especially since she’s like my only good servant on F/GO lol)

7. Favourite opening?

Without a doubt, it’s Kalafina’s To the Beginning. I had already loved them from Aldnoah.Zero (even though I hated the show) and when I heard the opening it was like everything I loved about Aldnoah’s opening multiplied by 100. It started with that mystical chanting, and the violins playing with the guitars were so beautiful….and then all the harmonies…ugh. I have so many feeling on this song and it was one that cemented my love for Kalafina. It’s not even my favorite song from them but whatever.

And it’s not an opening but Aimer’s Last Stardust is the most badass insert song, period.

12. Stuff like Gil x Arturia makes me uncomfortable since most of their canon relationship is him wanting to basically “own” her…..not good. Other than that maybe Waver and Iskandar since I think their relationship works much better as a bromance than an actual romance. 

14.  If you could change something from the canon, what would you?

Obviously, the sex scenes forced into the story (Fate route especially) but their alternatives aren’t that much better and some of it is important to the story (cough cough Heaven’s Feel). Other than that I kind of wish Shirou wasn’t such a “visual novel protag” at points….like he’s MUCH better than that but some of his lines about how soft Saber’s hand or whatever sounded really dumb at points, but I guess that’s mainly Nasu’s writing at work. 

Also I’d love for more diverse characters in FGO that aren’t sexualized (cough Scheherazade)

Heart of the Cards

OH HOW LONG I’VE BEEN WAITING TO TALK ABOUT THIS!

In the default FGO-Verse for Marlon, anyone who is at least a close acquaintance of his knows that he’s an avid fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime and card game. Being such, he has built several decks that use different strategies.

He has a Water-attribute monster deck that focuses on using Utopia and Rank-Up Magic, a Destiny Hero deck with loads of fusion monsters (One that he frankly doesn’t play enough), and an Earth-attribute rock-type monster deck that focuses on heavy defense and building up a monster count in the GY to bring out the deck’s beatstick, Megarock Dragon.

However, in both the default and a YGO-verse, the deck that Marlon loves using the most is his personal, custom deck, dubbed the ‘Obnoxious Deck’ by his friends. Basically, it’s focused around a (partially) defensive main deck strategy, using monsters like his trusty Peten the Dark Clown, Blast Sphere, and Superheavy Samurai Blue Brawler to block attacks, while using cards like Mirror Force and Magic Cylinder to reflect them back at his opponent. Plus, if they’re on the field long enough, he can tribute his monsters to bring out White Night Dragon, Beast King Barbaros, or Mobius the Frost Monarch.

Of course, that’s only part of what he can do with his personal deck. On top of having spells and traps with multiple different uses (EX: Mystical Space Typhoon for spell/trap busting, Swords of Revealing Light for stealing time to build up defense, Breakthrough Skill for effect negation), he also has plenty of special summoning up his sleeve.

There’s Battle Fader (Which technically counts as defense, as well), Divine Serpent Geh for an emergency beatstick, Eater of Millions for banishing, Gameciel (AKA his favorite Kaiju) for easy monster destruction, and Cockadoodledoo, Summoner Monk, and Scapeghost for Synchro and Xyz material. That brings me to my next point: the Extra Deck.

Marlon has absolutely no shortage of Extra Deck monsters. He has: 7 Synchro monsters, 6 Xyz monsters, and—uh. 1 Link monster. Yeah...let’s just say Marlon isn’t that big on Link monsters, or the current format. But that’s an explanation for another time. In terms of Synchro monsters, Marlon likes bringing out Shooting Riser Dragon and using it’s effect to bring out higher level Synchros like Leo or his recently acquired Stardust Dragon. As for Xyz, Time Thief Redoer is definitely one of his best (So much so that he has 2), though he also has Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon to work with. And then you have his only Link monster, Decode Talker. He hasn’t really used it much before, but he considers it to be a very useful card nonetheless, considering its easy summoning requirements and what comes with it (Link arrows that point to two of his monster zones, allowing for more Extra Deck summons, and ‘Power Integration’).

It’s definitely Marlon’s favorite deck to use for a reason, but of course, like many other decks, it’s ever-evolving.

gatcha games are usually horrible. but this .6% rate is especially bad when compared to other well known gatcha games.

I mentioned fgo has a 1% rate for a 5*. sounds horrible cause it is but its still not as bad as genshin.

arknights has a 2% rate for a 6* operator. fire emblem heros (probably the most fair and fun gatcha ive played even if some levels are like impossible) has a 6% rate that increases by 1% each pull you do that doesnt result in a 5* character.

(feh also has a potential feature so u can increase 1-4* characters to 5* so rolling a 4* version of the 5* is good enough if ur willing to work for it)

honestly if the 4* characters werent enough to get through the game it wouldnt even be worth it to play. the pity system is ok (the stardust for each roll u do and a guaranteed 4* each 10. and guaranteed 5* each 180...) but unless rates are fixed, the game will probably not be worth it to get into.

does anyone play any gatcha games and understand them cause im tired of my friend (ish) juice telling me genshin rates arent that bad at .6% for a 5*.
