You weren’t sure if it was the effect of working for Redbull, but you had also fallen under Max’s spell and hated to admit that although you didn’t agree with the teams’ blatant favouritism, you did their admiration for him.

Race weekend was hard, and laying down on a luxurious bed in a foreign country with your own hands roaming around your body was a familiar occurrence during the racing season. Once again ignoring his odd behaviour, you followed him inside and nodded politely as the doors closed behind you. “I did actually, did you?”

“Found it hard to sleep when you were making so much noise in the room next to me,” he nonchalantly spoke. Heat immediately rushed to your cheeks and your eyes widened in surprise. You swiftly averted your gaze from his figure and glanced at the floor, hoping that maybe it would conceal your blatant embarrassment.

“I’m not sure what you could possibly mean by that,” you choked out, you were almost certain the elevator should have reached the ground floor by then, and yet it was still moving, prolonging the dreaded conversation with Max.

“Don't act innocent now, love, I heard you last night” he smirked, you faintly heard his footsteps echoing against the floor as he strutted closer to you, so close that you could feel the heat of his breath hitting against your skin as he spoke, “My name sounds so heavenly rolling off your tongue.”

“Did your mother never tell you eavesdropping was rude?” you questioned.

The sound of the elevator doors opening behind you allowed for you to let out the breath you were holding, it also gave you an excuse to part from Max and provide some much-needed space between the two of you. Of course, your misfortune didn’t end there - the drumming of your heart in your chest increased the second you realized it was Christian who had been waiting on the other side of the elevator door. Your boss.

You bid him a polite greeting and didn’t utter a single word after that, allowing him to have a seemingly normal conversation with his driver, silently praying that he didn’t think anything of your close proximity with Max just moments before.

Practically rushing out of the elevator once it hit the ground floor, you might as well have run to the exit and towards the paddock There was no doubt in your mind that you would see Max on numerous occasions throughout the day, you just hoped you’d be in a better frame of mind when the inevitable occurred.

You didn’t expect Max to verbally acknowledge you before qualifying, you knew how tense the drivers got after having taken so many pictures of them with their game faces on, however, taking his massive ego and uncomparable confidence into consideration, you could see why he would find it fun to torture you before the event.

“Excuse me,” you heard from behind you, a warm feeling spreading throughout your lower back as large fingers spread across the area. You recognized Max’s voice in your ear and had to physically stop yourself from squeezing your thighs together at the sound.

“Shit sorry!” you exclaimed as you realised you were blocking his path to his car, quickly deleting the video you were taking for Redbulls Instagram and stepping aside. Max smirked at your flustered state and yet didn’t make any attempt to remove his hold on your back.

“It’s funny,” he mused, his eyes raking across your face in anticipation for the flustered expression that would soon cross through it, “you sound so different when you’re not moaning my name, love.”

“Max you're up,” you heard his mechanic speak from the side, ushering him to quickly finish the conversation he was having and jump into the car.

“It's a pity the only time you'll hear it is through the wall.” You don't know where your sudden confidence came from, but it was enough to leave Max speechless to the point where he simply clenched his jaw in response and strode towards his Redbull.

You thankfully didn't have any more verbal encounters with Max after that but he still managed to tease you with his looks alone. His gaze only parted from you whenever he was sat in his car, other than that you could feel a burning sensation on every inch of your body whenever he was around. “Stop looking at me like that” you muttered to yourself and desperately attempted to shift your focus to the work you were supposed to be doing. The work however didn't aid in removing Max from your mind as now you had to post a celebratory Instagram post after Max was granted yet another pole position.

Relief flooded your body once you were allowed to go back to your hotel room. That was until you realised the air conditioning had broken once again and you were left with that uncomfortable feeling you only knew how to soothe in one way.

And so, your hand slipped under your pyjama shorts once again. You couldn’t possibly help yourself. After all the teasing you had withstood throughout the day - you needed a release - however this time, you would make a conscious effort to be quiet, only letting his name fall from your lips as a whisper.

You thought back to the way he had looked into your eyes as he placed his hand on your waist. How he practically devoured you with his eyes alone, as if you were both the only people in the room. How he never once failed to make you blush with the numerous nicknames he had called you throughout the day.

You knew he was aware of what he was doing, the effect he had on you, and yet you fell into his trap, the same way in which your hand fell into your shorts.

Absolutely!

Ghoul kids are entirely harmless. Until puberty they have soft and squishy kagune, no dangerous teeth, and no territorial behavior. They could get along great with human children, but most are kept away from humans until they’re 7-8 and have it drilled into their heads how important it is to not let anyone find out what they are.

Parents will cut up the meat into small chunks for their children since it’s harder for them to bite through flesh. Of course they also tend to be more picky and don’t want any pieces with tendons or fat in them.

They have three sets of teeth. Baby teeth, adult teeth, and hunter’s teeth. The first two sets come in the same time as a human’s would, the only difference being that they’re sharper, but the hunter’s teeth come in when they’re about 12. This isn’t really an entire set, but just longer canines and sharper carnassials that will help them hunt and eat meat that their parents haven’t cut up for them

Getting their first kagune is a big deal. Around the age where the first formation happens, the parents need to be vigilant so they can get the kid out of public spaces when it starts. It can be freaky and painful and last up to 15 minutes at the longest, and afterwards they have their first kagune. It’s scary when it happens, but ghoul kids look forward to it since it’s a celebrated event. Usually they’ll have little gatherings to celebrate and show off what it looks like

Ghoul children have difficulties with a lot of stimuli the average human kid would not. Bright lights, loud sounds, and strong smells especially. They’re hypersensitive to specific lights/sounds/smells and can be prone to meltdowns or shutdowns since they don’t yet know how to convey that it’s overwhelming

After they form their kagune, it’s hard for them to control it for a bit, especially when it comes out, which is bad when they’re in public and it decides now it a good time to form. Thankfully since kid’s kagune are so soft and weak, the parents can just wrap the kakuhou in snug bandages or cover it with a back brace to stop it.

They take about a year or two longer to start talking. A speech delay like that in humans is a bad sign, but for ghouls it’s totally normal. The kids that talk later are a little more understanding of what things they can’t talk about in public, and are more likely to survive

They seem pretty weird to humans since they have all these instincts and no experience hiding them. The kids are more likely to blatantly sniff strangers, chew on things, or hide in any small dark place whenever they want since hiding their ghoul instinct is something they still need to learn

They sleep a lot. They have so much going on in such a tiny body that their own functioning organs can be more draining on them, and need at least 10 hours of sleep to be rested

They get too hot or too cold pretty easily. Ghouls are already prone to heat exhaustion, but the kids are just so bad at retaining a good body temperature. In the winter, they make giant pillow and blanket piles to huddle together in. In the summer, they will crawl into anything remotely cool. By now ghoul parents with the means to do so know the common trick of taking the shelves out of the fridge they never use, putting their child in it, and propping it open with a brick.

They are SO cuddly. They will get in piles with their siblings, they’ll crawl into their parents laps, they’ll demand piggy back rides or simply climb their parents without asking. They must be Touching A Safe Person All The Times or they get anxious

Ghouls have the instinct to drop into a playful stance when they see other ghouls that aren’t a threat to them, it basically invites them to a weird chasing game as a greeting. In adults it’s just a playful joke between friends, but the kids don’t have a concept of Dangerous Strange Ghouls That Will Kill Me For Territory and try to do it with any ghouls they see. Every so often, a handful of ghoul kids are at a park or other public space at the same time and immediately get into a huge game of incomprehensible tag

They’re twice as strong as human kids, so childproofing needs to be taken to the next step. They can climb up to windows too, so keeping them out of stuff is hard

Hope you all like this one today. It is a bit spooky, but not to bad I think, so hopefully it will be ok for everyone. But I leave it to you to decide what cou can handle.

He was lying in bed asleep when the call came through on his implants. The little buzzing in the side of his neck roused him from sleep and he grumpily looked at the clock rubbing his eyes. It was 4 in the morning. He supposed there were worse times to wake up, though the fact he hadn’t gotten to sleep until 12 the night before made it a bit more questionable.

Sunny had left around the time he went to bed having tried to keep him company in his paranoia, worried that he would suddenly turn around and see the long dead face of Captain Everett, the captain of a civilian transport turned to cannibalism for some unknown reason, and someone he had been forced to kill with his own hand.

Someone he had been seeing in places he shouldn’t be seeing him.

He sighed and rubbed his temples, sitting up and looking around.

He would be the first to admit, that if the viewing window hadn’t allowed in the proper amount of ambient light, he would have sprung for a night-light. Even so, he did his best to keep his face away from the floor length mirror as he turned to look down at his implant.

He strapped on his leg, pulled on some pants and a shirt and boots before hurrying out of the room.

Waffles stood from her dog bed trotting over to nose his hand with her cold damp snout. He patted her on the head and ordered her to stay as he walked towards the door.

He nearly ran headfirst into Simon who was waiting outside, and honestly nearly screamed, but settled for a strangled yelp somewhere in between, nearly pitching onto the floor.

“Mother-of-hell-Lieutenant.”

“Sorry for startling you, sir.”

“Do you ever sleep.”

“Yes sir.”

“That was a rhetorical question.” He groaned and rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands, “What are you even doing up?”

“I was alerted to a situation before you. They weren’t sure if it was important enough to mention, but I deemed it important enough.”

“And this situation is…. What exactly.” She stared at him with her wide eyes, which she had the strange and unsettling habit of not blinking too often, “The crew is reporting things gone missing, especially down in engineering.”

“Gone missing! What do you mean gone missing?”

She looked at him with her head tilted, “I don’t understand the question sir?”

His shoulders slumped lightly, “I want to know what has gone missing, why they think it is even missing, and who could have taken or misplaced it if it is.”

“WHy didn’t you just say so, sir.”

He sighed internally. Simon was a very efficient and organized person, but she had trouble with metaphors, turns of phrase, sarcas, rhetorical questions, and getting along with people in general.

“Just little things here and there sir, but enough that the crew is noticing. Almost everyone has misplaced something.”

“Right, I see.”

He turned to walk down the hall with her listening to the list that she had compiled of all the things that were missing. Most of it seemed sort of innocuous, mostly tools, or spare parts that no one had bothered to lock up, but he knew from looking at the ship’s equipment manifests that most of those things (while relatively minor for one of the most expensive intergalactic warships ever built) they weren’t without value.

“Anyone suspected so far?”

Simon shook her head, “No sir. Everyone was asleep when the items were stolen and the records of their implants have them in those locations all night. So no one on the day shift was lying. We have been going around asking people on the night shift and should know something sooner rather than later.”

He nodded his head and was about to take a step down onto deck four when the distant rumbling of the engines ground to a screeching halt. The red emergency lights in the hallway pulsed once and then brightened.

A clattering noise echoed through the hall, and with the sudden shutdown of the engine, the ship jolted slightly causing both him and the lieutenant to go stumbling forward.

Simon almost hit her knees, and he was barely able to catch himself on the wall to his right,

“What the Hell!” The buzzing on his implants began almost as soon as the jolt happened, and he opened the com as he broke into a jog towards engineering.

“What was that!” He demanded over the line.

“Engines say they are offline, sir. Nonfunctional.”

“Say again.”

“We are dead in the water, sir.”

He felt his skin go very very cold. A chill breeze semed to rush over his body as that revelation came in over the line.

Dead in the water

Dead in the water like that civilian transport.

The once familiar glowing corridors of his ship now took on a sinister cast. The glowing red light that highlighted the mental around them shimmered hellish. The corridor before them was dark, shadowy, more like a cave and less like a ship.

Beside him, Simon reached into her uniform pocket and pulled out a pen.

With a sharp click, the small pen light was engaged and the hellish red cast was chased away by a sharp beam of white light.

Thankful for the sudden illumination, he followed her down the halls and into engineering.

He found Narobi there grilling her engineers on just exactly what was going on.

One of them was shaking his head, “I, I’m sorry Ma’am, but I don’t know. I was here when it went off.”

“Nothing shuts off an engine that fast unless one of the direct support systems was tampered with. The engine would have to turn off quickly, so I need you guys out looking for every release valve, ever failsafe, and every energy dampener you can find.” She turned to look at one of her other underlings, “And you get down to storage and find us a new part. I made sure than when I started working on this ship that we had enough spare parts for a small Omen if we had to. Now GO!”

The two men scampered off into the darkness, like rats scurrying away from approaching footsteps.

They were left alone in a pool of white light, and Narobi turned to face him.

“Anything I can do to help?” He wondered

She sighed, “I’m not sure, sir. We have been experiencing… strange things all night-”

“Yeah, having your stuff go missing.”

She waved a hand at him, “Yes there is that, but that’s not what I was talking about.”

His chest tightened slightly, and he shifted nervously on his feet. The darkness around him seemed to be pressing in.

“WHat do you mean?”

She shook her head, and the look on her face was not exactly encouraging, “THe crew is reporting…. Strange movement. More than one of them would have sworn they had heard or seen something, generally a dark shadow at the end of the hall, or a flicker out of the corner of their eyes.

No no no, this could not be happening.

His ship was new!

It couldn’t be haunted!

No one had even died here yet…. Then again there were those dead Kree. DId they have something to do with it? He shook himself in annoyance. Why the hell would he jump to a supernatural explanation? He was flying a spaceship, for crying out loud. More than likely it was some kind of alien, which wasn’t much more formorting, but it at least meant they could deal with the problem.

“Still doesn’t change the fact that I want to help. I know I’m not an engineer but, this is my ship, and I made a business of knowing her backwards and forward before she was given to me.”

Nairobi looked him up and down, her full lips pressed tightly together, “Well, I suppose we could use all the help we can get. Take a light, and, if you can, check the maintenance channels up the back of decks ten through three. It is kind of tight in there and you are going to have to climb up a few ladders.

He nodded, “I can do that. Call me if your men find anything.” he turned to look at simon, “Head up to the bridge and take the chair. Keep me updated on what is going on.”

Simon stared at him, “Take the chair sir, you mean like….”

“Yes, Go upstairs, sit in the captain’s chair and be the captain while I figure out what is going on.”

“But sir, that is highly-”

“Unorthodox, yes I know, but this is how I do things, so go on.”

Simon wasn’t the kind to unusually show much emotion, but the little spark in her eyes and the sudden spring to her step suggested that he might have managed to make her day, despite the fact that they were dead in the water, and unable to move.

In the dark.

Alone.

He wished for a moment that he had brought waffles along with him, but he knew that she wouldn’t be able to follow where he was going. He wondered, not for the first time, why he had even volunteered for this sort of thing. He was the Admiral, and by rights that meant that his most important job was to delegate duties to other people.

Of course even thinking that made him very aware of how much he disagreed with that sort of leadership, and so he sighed, taking a light from Narobi as he moved into the darkness.

WIth the rumbling of the engines suspended, the ship was left eerily quiet. It was like someone had come and stuffed his ears full of cotton or mud. He would say it was equivalent to what happens when a thick layer of snow falls in the mountains, and great white snowflakes fall from the sky.

It seems as if all sound is drained from the world but the crunching of ones own footsteps through the powder.

But now, it was the sound of his own boots clattering over the metal deck. The beam of his light cut through the darkness sweeping over the metal, up and down the walls trying to find anything amiss.

He was alone in the darkness.

At one point he chose to switch off his light and turn on his infrared in his prosthetic eye.

The world lit up around him in grey. There was no color, but he could see further than he could with the flashlight, and the darkness didn’t seem so penetrating. .

f course his left eye was almost completely blind in the blackness of the ship, but that was a small price to pay for the security he felt that the other eye gave him.

He moved up a set of rickety stairs scanning from left to right before forcing himself into a small vertical shaft, crawling his way up. On occasion he would pass through a pool of red illumination from the security lights, but with the filters on his eye, the dim red glow did not interfere with his long distance vision.

He was walking down one of the maintenance hallways checking and rechecking the piping and wiring that ran along the sides when a sudden soft brushing reached him from behind.

He spun quickly on the spot, his hands held up his heart racing.

For one moment, his infrared eye thought he saw something flash out of sight down the T intersection behind him, but it was so fast that it could have been nothing, His heart was hamming so hard, he could hear the rush of blood through his ears.

He took a deep breath.

He was not an overly religious man and generally didn’t have an opinion about prayer one way or the other, but in that moment he was about ready to have a religious revelation, though weather ‘please dear god don’t let it eat me’ is considered a prayer or not is up to semantics.

He stood there for a long while in the dark just watching the hallway behind him, though eventually the logical side of his brain determined that his recent paranoia was just making him see things, and he turned nervously on his heel to continue his search.

And so he crawled through the bowls of the ship scampering through the walls and past air vents, feeling like he was seeing something he wasn’t meant to see despite this ship belonging to him.

He made his way into another tal vertical shaft and began clambering up the rungs. Darkness pooled above and below him. He tried to focus on his hands and feet, the rungs small and slippery with his own sweat.

HE was almost to the top of the shaft, his head and shoulders peeking up over the lip of metal.

And onto a pair of feet.

His head snapped violently upwards at the colorless grey face of Captain Everett.

He screamed in shock, jerking back. His foot slipped on the rung, his hands came free, and his stomach dropped as he plunged downward into the shaft.

His flailing arms and feet clattered and slammed against the metal as he fell. Adrenaline shot through him forcing his human brain to capture the scene at more frames per second. The world around him seemed to slow, and he was able to snatch a hand out at one of the rings. With one hand he managed to hook his fingers around one of the rungs, his shoulder jerking violently sending a shock of pain up and into his hand.

He lost his grip and began to fall again, but it had slowed him enough that he was able to force his feet out in one direction catching himself with his back pinned to one side of the shaft, and his feet pinned to the other held up only by the pressure of his feet and back.

He would have cried out in pain for his shoulder but clamped a hand over his mouth to stifle his breathing.

HE lifted his head looking up at the top of the shaft, but saw nothing. He was shaking so violently, that he was sure his foot would dislodge any second. WIth his numb left hand, he reached out and grabbed the rungs of the ladder. His right arm hurt so bad, but luckily it wasn’t dislocated.

He sat at the center of the ladder, his head resting on his hands shaking for a good few minutes before he was able to force himself to crawl up the shaft. His eyes were fixed above him, but when he reached the top this time, he was alone.

He had to lean against the wall for a second to compose himself, the scare of seeing the strange apparition and his near death fall making him sick and light headed, but he forced himself to continue on, jumping at every small noise, glancing over his shoulder every other second.

He came to a T intersection, and was about to take a left when a dark shape appeared at the end of the hall.

He froze.

The shape vanished.

He had seen enough horror movies to know how this ended, and he turned quickly to the right, glancing back over his shoulder, though he saw nothing. At the next intersection, he saw the same shape again and went the other way.

It was following him, he could tell,

He wasn’t about to let this thing eat him without others knowing, so he radio up to the bridge, “Simon, do you read.” His voice was shaking and he didn’t care.

“I’m here Admiral, is something rong.”

“I think something is down here, can you do a scan of maintenance shafts deck five.”

Her voice was rather wary as she did so, “Yes sir, scanning now.”

He continued quietly forward.

“Got it.”

“Anything.”

There was a pause, “No, the only signature we are picking up is yours, sir.”

“Did you try a thermal scan?”

“Yes sir, and there was nothing.”

A cold chill ran up his spine, he felt sick, and the shaking -- that had begun to die down -- started up again.

“Thanks Simon.”

“Yes sir…. Do you want me to send someone.”

“No…. No I think I’ll manage.” She must think that he was totally insane, better not let anyone else know about that little problem. His arm and body still throbbed from his fall.

He turned another corner and was just walking down the hall when he felt a set of freezing cold hands grip him from behind.

He froze as a waft of cold breath washed over his ear.

He was frozen on the spot in sheer terror.

He could feel it lean in.

“Up.” THe voice whispered in his ear.

And then the hands withdrew.

He turned sharply around fists raised, but there was nothing there. He stood there very confused before slowly, and with great fear lifting his eyes upwards, expecting to see a black eyed apparition staring down at him razor sharp teeth bared.

But instead of that he saw a gaping hole on the wiring.

One of the coolant diffusers was missing.

He frowned and leaned upwards to get a better look.

Of course , this couldn't have been the cause of the ship shut off. If it took a single coolant diffuser to shut off the entire engine, than it would be a poor design indeed. There were hundreds of these all over the ship designed to keep the warp core and fusion core cool, and for this reason the ship had backup after backup in place for if one failed. As far as he knew there were at least 500 in operation.

Though if enough of them had gone missing…. The engines might shut off to avoid a potentially dangerous warp.

It wouldn't kill them but it would get hot.

He turned down his implant, “Narobi, I think i found something.”

She responded quickly, “What is it.”

“Coolant diffuser is missing up on deck, but I don’t see how that could cause this.”

“It wouldn’t…. unless .”

“Unless what?”

“Unless it wasn’t that at all, and it was the engineering monitoring system that was tampering with.”

He was slightly confused for a moment, “What do you mean.”

“I mean i should have been alerted when that piece of equipment was removed, but I wasn’t which means our monitoring systems are offline. Or parts of it . I didn’t notice before because the engine diagnostics was still working.”

“What do you want me to do about this?”

“Mark it on the map and then head back here. I will send someone up to replace it. We have plenty of spares.” He nodded and then -- remembering she couldn't see him, agreed.

He turned and began to head back down to engineering.

That was when he sensed it again, something standing behind him. He froze his heart hammering.

“I…. I odn’t know what you want, but I…. I…” He stammered for a bit before taking a deep breath, ‘Thank you…. For telling me about the diffuser.”

IT was, suddenly, very surprising. The cold chill turned into a warm sensation blossoming up through his chest.

The fear faded away slightly and his heart began to slow.

He could still feel IT behind him, but…. It didn’t seem so bad all of a sudden.

He wasn’t sure if the word had come through in his head or if he had heard it outloud. For a moment he wondered if it was conn but dismissed that quickly. Conn felt completely different.

He turned, and instead of heading down towards engineering he slowly chased a shadow.

One that seemed to flicker in and out of existence in the distance, to the point where it would have been easy to convince himself he was seeing things.

He was led through maintenance towards the nose of the ship, through the halls and floors of the maintenance tunnels.

He was almost to the nose of the ship, when a distant clattering noise came to him.

He moved forward a little, peering quietly around the corner to where the noise was coming from.

And when he did his eyes widened.

In the dim light of his infrared eye, he watched the Kree dislodge a dampener coupling from the wall.

Under Biden, A New Kind of Family Separation (Politico) The door to the U.S. has been shut tight to asylum seekers since last March, when the Trump administration issued an order at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic that every migrant—child or adult—would be immediately “expelled” back to Mexico or their home country if they attempted to cross the border, without even a chance to make a case that the persecution they face qualifies them to stay. After he took office this year, Joe Biden kept the policy largely in place, but began to admit unaccompanied minors even while continuing to expel both adults and children who enter with families. Since the shift in policy, some parents and guardians have made the devastating decision, calculated only out of desperation, to send their children off ahead of them, alone, to cross the border. The result is a new form of family separation—but instead of happening at the hands of federal agents in American government facilities, it’s taking place family by family. The fact that minors won’t be expelled like everyone else has rapidly spread by word of mouth across the length of the border. And while many families choose to stick together, the pressure to separate weighs heaviest on the most vulnerable—families who fear death, whether from persecutors who have followed them to the border, or from extreme hunger. One immigration official said, “This kind of information spreads like wildfire: If you hear about a child successfully making it, and your kids are desperate or sick or in danger, there are a lot of reasons why you would make that incredibly difficult decision.”

US businesses near border struggle with boundaries’ closure (AP) Evan Kory started calling brides in Mexico’s northern Sonora state last March, asking if they wanted to get their wedding gowns from his Arizona store just before the U.S. closed its borders with Mexico and Canada because of the coronavirus. Miami Beach mayor declares emergency as ‘wall-to-wall’ crowds descend on city, sparking virus fears (The Week) Miami Beach, Florida, Mayor Dan Gelber on Saturday declared a state of emergency, set an 8 p.m. curfew, and closed roads in the entertainment district as large crowds arrived in the city, sparking fears of another coronavirus surge. Law enforcement officials said people flocked to Miami Beach because they were looking for a place with fewer pandemic restrictions—Florida reopened earlier than most states—but city leadership thinks it’s gone too far, The New York Times reports. “Too many people are coming, really, without the intention of following the rules, and the result has been a level of chaos and disorder that is just something more than we can endure,” Gelber told CNN, adding that at night the city “feels like a rock concert, wall-to-wall people over blocks and blocks.” Raul Aguila, the interim city manager, said “you couldn’t see pavement, you couldn’t see grass.”

Eruption of Iceland volcano easing, not affecting flights (AP) The eruption of a long-dormant volcano that sent streams of lava flowing across a small valley in southwestern Iceland is easing and shouldn’t interfere with air travel, the Icelandic Meteorological Office said Saturday. The eruption is “minor” and there were no signs of ash or dust that could disrupt aviation, the agency said. In 2010, an eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland sent clouds of ash and dust into the atmosphere, interrupting air travel between Europe and North America because of concerns the material could damage jet engines. More than 100,000 flights were grounded, stranding millions of passengers.

Protesters Across Europe Clash With Police Over COVID-19 Lockdowns (NPR) Anger at restrictions imposed to contain the coronavirus pandemic swept into the streets of Europe on Saturday. German police used water cannons, pepper spray and clubs on protesters rallying over the coronavirus lockdown in the town of Kassel in central Germany where demonstrators numbered some 20,000. Protests against government measures to rein in the pandemic were also reported in Austria, Britain, Finland, Romania and Switzerland. Protesters held placards that read, “Fear Westmonster, Not the Virus, and “Stop Destroying Our Kids’ Lives” as they marched in central London along Oxford Street, the Embankment and Parliament Square before heading up to Whitehall.

Airline and travel stocks fell on Friday after Paris and much of northern France shut down for a month, days after Italy introduced stiff business and movement curbs for most of the country including Rome and Milan. Massive religious gathering worries India as COVID-19 cases surge (Reuters) India’s health ministry warned on Sunday that a huge gathering of devotees for a Hindu festival could send coronavirus cases surging, as the country recorded the most new infections in nearly four months. The ministry said up to 40 people were testing positive for COVID-19 daily around the site of the weeks-long Mahakumbh that began this month and peaks in April in the Himalayan holy town of Haridwar, next to the Ganges. The festival is held only once every 12 years. Organisers have said here more than 150 million visitors are expected, as many Hindus believe bathing in the river during this period absolves people of sins and bring salvation from the cycle of life and death.

Myanmar Protesters Answer Military’s Bullets With an Economic Shutdown (NYT) Bank tellers’ windows are gathering dust. Cargo at the port sits uncollected. And in grand government ministries in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar, stacks of documents are curling in the humidity. There are few people to process all the paperwork. Since the military seized power in a coup last month, an entire nation has come to a standstill. From hospitals, railways and dockyards to schools, shops and trading houses, much of society has stopped showing up for work in an attempt to stymie the military regime and force it to return authority to a civilian government. While demonstrators continue to brave bullets—at least 220 people have been killed since the Feb. 1 coup, according to a local group that monitors political imprisonments and deaths—the quiet persistence of this mass civil disobedience movement has grown into a potent weapon against the military. For all the planning that went into the putsch, the generals seem to have been utterly unprepared for the breadth and depth of resistance against them. N. Korean diplomats leaving Malaysia after ties are severed (AP) North Korean diplomats vacated their embassy in Malaysia and prepared to leave the country Sunday, after the two nations cut diplomatic relations in a spat over the extradition of a North Korean criminal suspect to the United States. Ties between North Korea and Malaysia have been virtually frozen since the 2017 assassination of the estranged half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Two days after Kuala Lumpur extradited a North Korean man to the U.S. to face money laundering charges, a furious North Korea on Friday announced it was terminating ties with Malaysia. Malaysia denounced the decision and in a tit-for-tat response, gave North Korean diplomats 48 hours to leave.

Strong quake shakes Japan; minor injuries, no major damage (AP) A strong earthquake struck Saturday off northern Japan, shaking buildings even in Tokyo and triggering a tsunami advisory for a part of the northern coast. No major damage was reported, but several people had minor injuries. The U.S. Geological Survey put the strength of the quake at magnitude 7.0 and depth at 54 kilometers (33.5 miles). The shaking started just before 6:10 p.m. The quake was centered off the coast of Miyagi prefecture, in the country’s rugged northeast, which was heavily damaged during the huge earthquake and tsunami of 2011 that left more than 18,000 people dead. The strong temblor caused a temporary blackout in some areas and suspended bullet train services in the area, according to the East Japan Railway Co.

Wary Philippines says 200 Chinese vessels at disputed reef (AP) The Philippine government expressed concern after spotting more than 200 Chinese fishing vessels it believed were crewed by militias at a reef claimed by both countries in the South China Sea, but it did not immediately lodge a protest. A government body overseeing the disputed region said late Saturday that about 220 Chinese vessels were seen moored at Whitsun Reef on March 7. It released pictures of the vessels lying side by side in one of the most hotly contested areas of the strategic waterway. The reef, which Manila calls Julian Felipe, is a boomerang-shaped and shallow coral region about 175 nautical miles (324 kilometers) west of Bataraza town in the western Philippine province of Palawan. It’s well within the country’s exclusive economic zone, over which the Philippines “enjoys the exclusive right to exploit or conserve any resources,” the agency said in a statement. China, the Philippines and four other governments have been locked in a tense territorial standoff over the resource-rich and busy waterway for decades.

Heavy rains in Australia’s east bring worst floods in 50 years (Reuters) Heavy rains along Australia’s east coast over the weekend have brought the worst flooding in half a century in some areas, authorities said on Sunday, forcing thousands to evacuate and damaging hundreds of houses. New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the downpour across the state, Australia’s most populous with 8 million people, was worse than initially expected, especially for low-lying areas in Sydney’s northwest. People in parts of Sydney’s northwest were ordered to flee their houses in the middle of the night as fast-moving waters caused widespread destruction. Late on Sunday, about another 1,000 people were asked to evacuate, after Berejiklian said that some 4,000 people may be asked to leave their houses.

Pope Struggles to Contain Conservative-Liberal Tensions in Catholic Church (WSJ) Pope Francis is struggling to manage powerful bishops in the U.S. and Germany, two groups at opposite ends of the ideological spectrum, as he tries to advance his progressive agenda without jeopardizing the unity of the Catholic Church. The election of President Biden, a progressive Catholic whom some U.S. bishops want to censure for his support of abortion rights, has exacerbated longstanding tensions between the pope and the largely conservative American episcopate. U.S. church leaders have resisted promoting the pope’s priorities of social and economic justice and care for the environment over opposition to abortion and defense of religious freedom. On the left, the pope is trying to rein in German bishops who—encouraged by the pope’s liberalizing gestures on topics including sexuality, ecumenism and the role of women—are pressing for changes that go further than Pope Francis is comfortable with, and that conservatives warn could cause a schism. 30 Day Whump Prompt Challenge: Day 5 (Fainting)

Fandom: Detroit: Become Human

Pairing: Connor x reader

Summary: During the raid on Jericho, the reader is shot and needs treatment, but tells the others that they’re fine. It’s only after the Reader faints that Connor realizes how badly they were wounded. Now, it’s a race against time.

Warnings: Violence, swearing

“Over here!” The squad leader’s voice echos through the empty, barren metal maze that makes up the hallways of Jericho. Turning a corner, they unleash a wave of ammunition flying through the air, most hitting the 3 deviants who were attempting to escape.

Shaking, you watch as they pass the room you’d ducked into, flashlights and guns still trained on the fallen androids. Thirium, or Blue Blood, streams down your face and your side. You’d been shot, but it had barely missed your biocomponents.

The loss of Thirium would be an issue, but it would sort itself out eventually. As of the moment, you had to get out. You dart out of the room, rounding the corner and leaping over the broken flooring. You vault yourself over debris, and barely manage to catch yourself as you continue to run.

Left, right, left, right, left-

Markus had said there were exits on the 2nd and 3rd floors- You slam into someone, causing shock waves of pain to flood your senses. “Y/n?” A familiar voice catches your ears.

“Connor? I thought-” You were shocked, and scared. He was a deviant hunter, he would kill you-

“I won’t hurt you- I.. I ended up becoming a deviant myself.” You finally bring your gaze to him, and he wasn’t wearing his usual suit, but instead a beanie and jacket.

“Connor, we have to go- This place is gonna blow any second.” Markus comes around the corner, and glances down at you momentarily. North soon follows.

Connor grabs your hand, and helps you to your feet. “The exit is down this hall and to the right- let’s not waste any more time.” North huffs, and together, the 4 of you begin to take off. Markus is the first one to jump off the side of the boat, being followed by North, Connor, and yourself.

The water hit you hard, and almost instantly numbed your senses. You allow yourself to stay under, knowing if you were to go above the surface, you’d be killed. Slowly swimming to the side, you eventually find the pier ladder. You grab onto it, the rust flaking off a little around you. Pulling yourself out of the water, pain rushes to your side once again.

A soft groan forces it’s way out of your lips, and you collapse with a loud thud into the ground. It was even colder now, and you were too focused on catching your nonexistent breath to notice Connor standing a few feet away.

“Y/n, are you alright?” He steps over, his clothing just as drenched as yours. He was shaking slightly, showing he was also feeling the cold.

“Yeah, just give me a moment-” You weren’t lying, you felt ok, though your side throbbed angrily.

You roll onto your side, and make your way onto your feet slowly. Your senses were dulled, and the noise from the outside world seemed far away. You couldn’t quite make out what Connor was saying, but you could read his lips. ‘We have a safehouse we’re heading to; If you need treatment, you can get it there.’

You nod, blinking a little rapidly, before beginning to follow him. Instead of the usual blue of your visual sensors, everything was yellow. You were losing too much Thirium; If your sensors became red, then there was a high chance you would shut down temporarily.

This caused fear to race through your veins. You break into a sprint, Connor shouting after you. You couldn’t hear him; and you had no clue where the safe house even was. You didn’t want to shut down. You didn’t-

A muffled voice is all you can hear, and you force yourself to open your eyes to meet the speaker. There is a countdown on the upper left side of your vision; 10 minutes until permanent shutdown. Your sensors are bright red.

Connor’s voice finally reaches through to you, and you can understand him. “..didn’t you tell me? You could die from this; I don’t want to lose you, you hear me?”

“Connor..?” Your voice came out weak- frail. You hated it.

“Hey, oh god- I’m here, Y/n- I’m gonna pick you up now, alright?” His voice was shaking, and sounded just as frail as your own. Your heart cracks a little, knowing it was your fault.

You merely nod, and he picks you up carefully, a soft cry of agony still escaping your lips. “How long..?” His voice was quiet, and you knew exactly what he was asking.

“9 minutes and 42 seconds,” your voice cracks. He bites his lip, and takes a deep breath.

“I’m gonna have to run to make it. Hold onto me as best as you can; you aren’t going to shut down, ok?” You nod, and his LED flashes blue for a moment, before he takes off at a sprint.

Each step hurt, but the count down didn’t speed up. That, at least, was good. You lost track of how many times he turned a corner, how many streets you went down, how many police vehicles you saw. Your timer was counting down.

2 minutes until permanent shutdown.

“Connor!” Markus’ voice echos through the alleyway, and you force your gaze upwards. An old church stands, with enormous stained glass windows. It was beautiful.

“I need blue blood, and some kind of bandage!” His voice was faded now; One minute left.

A female you’d met on Jericho, Kara, brings the blue bag and bandages over. Her little girl, Alice, was by her side.

Connor lifts your shirt, and sees the damage. “30 seconds,” You croak, and he hurriedly applies the bandage. The pressure hurt, but the timer began to count down a little more slowly. You feel yourself being raised, and a bottle meets your lips.

As you drink, the counter slowly fades, and your systems go back to a light blue. You barely made it.

Connor hugs you carefully, but tightly. “God fucking damnit-” he curses, voice breaking at the end. You hug back, tears pricking the corners of your vision.

“I’m ok now.. Thank you.”

On December 21, Congress passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, a $2.3 trillion bill that pulled together a number of different pieces of legislation, including a $900 billion coronavirus relief bill and a $1.4 trillion appropriations bill (which included 12 separate annual appropriations bills). Today’s news is that Trump is refusing to sign the bill into law.

Here’s what’s at stake: the bill provides $300 a week in federal unemployment benefits on top of state benefits, and without it, expanded unemployment benefits ran out today for millions of Americans. The bill increases the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food support program by $13 billion, and allocates $25 billion in assistance to help pay past-due rent. It also provides $20 billion to buy more vaccines and about $8 billion distribute them. The bill also calls for a one-time $600 direct payment to individuals.

That’s the coronavirus relief piece of the measure. Another piece is the regular appropriations bill for the 2021 federal fiscal year, which ends on September 30, 2021. This includes military spending, aid to foreign countries, and the money that keeps federal programs afloat. It has $1.4 billion allocated to the wall on our southern border. Congress should have passed this appropriations bill in time for the start of the 2021 fiscal year on October 1, 2020, but it didn’t, so it has kept the government funded through continuing resolutions. The one under which we are currently operating expires at midnight on Monday, December 28.

Here’s the third piece of the measure. More than 3000 of the 5593 pages of this massive bill are additional measures that have nothing to do with the first two. They extend tax breaks from previous laws, amounting to tax cuts of about $200 billion. They include money for flood control and coastal protection. They fund community health centers and historically Black colleges and universities. They reauthorize intelligence programs for 2021. They establish the Women’s History Museum and the National Museum of the American Latino on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. (although it appears they do not allocate money for them, but simply authorize their establishment, as required by law).

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 passed Congress by large bipartisan majorities. Trump has not called congressional Democratic leaders in more than a year, but Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was part of the negotiations, and spoke for the White House. Everyone expected that, after Congress had passed the bill, Trump would sign it into law.

But he left for Mar-a-Lago on December 23 without signing it, and is threatening not to. In a surprise video on Tuesday, December 22, he called the legislation “a disgrace.” He complained about the $600 stimulus checks—it was Mnuchin who insisted on that amount—and demanded the amount be raised to $2000. He also complained about “wasteful spending and much more,” although some of the things he called out, including funds for Egypt and the Egyptian military and money for the Kennedy Center, were his own requests. Republicans were stunned by his sudden hostility. Democrats, who had wanted higher stimulus payments all along, promptly tried to pass a stand-alone $2000 payment measure through the House, but were stopped by Republicans.

Trump’s sudden hostility to a bill that took months to hammer out is disastrous for millions of Americans whose expanded unemployment benefits ran out today and whose state benefits are long gone. It also threatens to force a government shutdown.

So, what’s Trump up to?

A couple of things. First, he is furious with Senate Republicans, especially Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Majority Whip (the second most powerful Republican in the Senate, who enforces party discipline) John Thune (R-SD), both of whom have acknowledged that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. Trump continues to insist that he won “by a landslide” and that the election was stolen. He is incensed by any Republican who has not signed on to his crusade, yet as he relies more and more on marginal figures like his lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell and Biden’s victory becomes more and more secure, party leaders are distancing themselves from him. Tonight, he tweeted that it is “[t]ime for Republican Senators to step up and fight for the Presidency….”

Now, though, Republican leadership needs him to sign this bill to help Republican Senate candidates in Georgia. Democrats in the House passed coronavirus relief back in May, but McConnell objected to anything of the sort until after the election, when it became clear that control of the Senate was going to depend on the outcome of a runoff for both Senate seats from Georgia. In that state, the two Republican candidates are having a hard time because voters are disgusted that there has been so little help coming from the Republicans for people hurt by the economic crisis that came in on the heels of the pandemic. If those Senate seats go the Democratic candidates, Jon Ossoff and the Reverend Raphael Warnock, the Senate will be balanced 50-50 between Republicans and Democrats. In the case of such a tie, the position of the Senate Majority Leader goes to the top member of the party of the U.S. President, meaning that a Democrat would replace McConnell.

McConnell assured the Georgia Republican Senate candidates that there would be a coronavirus relief package before Christmas, and they ran on that promise. Now Trump has them over a barrel.

That’s one reason he’s suddenly stalling.

The other is quite likely that he is angry and frustrated at his impending loss of power, and is lashing out to hurt people. It seems of a piece with the fact that he and then-Attorney General William Barr resumed federal executions in July 2019, and that he has sped up the executions of federal prisoners since his November defeat. During his administration, the federal government has executed ten prisoners, more than any president since Grover Cleveland in 1896. This includes executions during the transition to the next administration. Traditionally, presidents stop executions during this period, leaving life-and-death decisions to their successors. One person in conversation with White House officials talked with Jeff Stein of the Washington Post about Trump’s scuttling of the bill and said, “He’s just angry at everybody and wants to inflict as much pain on Congress as possible.”

Trump’s supporters are urging him to “pocket veto” the Consolidated Appropriations Act, taking advantage of a weird option at the end of a congressional session. Normally, a president has ten days, not including Sunday, to review and sign a bill. During a congressional session, if the president doesn’t sign a bill within ten days, it becomes a law. But if the congressional session ends within ten days, the bill does not become a law. This is known as a pocket veto. The 116th Congress—this one—officially ends at noon on January 3. If Trump got the bill on December 24, and all indications are that he did, the ten-day window ends on January 4. So, he could, in fact, run out the clock in such a way that Congress could not override his veto.

For his part, President-Elect Joe Biden is scathing of the machinations that could leave him inheriting an epic disaster. “[M]illions of families don’t know if they’ll be able to make ends meet because of… Trump’s refusal to sign an economic relief bill approved by Congress with an overwhelming and bipartisan majority,” his transition team wrote today. “This abdication of responsibility has devastating consequences.” Biden pointed out that about 10 million Americans will lose their unemployment insurance benefits, paychecks for military personnel will be at risk, a moratorium on evictions expires, small businesses will fail, and distribution of vaccines will falter. “This bill is critical,” he wrote. It needs to be signed into law now. But it is also a first step and down payment on more action that we’ll need to take early in the new year to revive the economy and contain the pandemic….”

Biden noted that “In November, the American people spoke clearly that now is a time for bipartisan action and compromise.” Congress has stepped up to the plate with this appropriations bill, Biden said, and added that “Trump should join them, and make sure millions of American can put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads in this holiday season.”

How to bypass the password

Okay, what's going on guys this video, what we're gon na be discussing today is how to bypass the password, if, obviously, you guys have forgotten it most likely you're watching this, because you can't log on to your Windows computer, because you forgot your password or you bought A computer off someone else, they forgot the password or you found it - dumpster diving in this case right here, Alienware computer, if you guys, are interested in my videos, look in the description box below Ben's Berg, films, you'll, see hi, dumpster dive and I find computers all The time so I want to show you guys, because I'm actually I'm experiencing this right now myself and I want to show you how to bypass the Windows seven.

This should work on Windows, 8 and 10, also, and even maybe some older ones as well. We have my little explanation sheet right here, so I'm gon na go over the steps with you so real quickly. The computer is on right now. What we're gon na do if your computer is on, you just need to shut it down and we're gon na start from scratch. So, let's go ahead and power it down again, not restart we're gon na go ahead and just shut the computer down once the computer has completely turned off, then we will go ahead and start with our first process. Okay, this is a very important step, guys. What we're gon na do is we're gon na go ahead and power on your computer, okay, so we're gon na power on the computer. But right as we see the process, microsoft windows process circle go around, meaning it's booting up.

We'Re gon na go ahead and hold down our power button, and this is called like a hard shut up or a hard shut down. Okay, so let's go ahead and get started here, we're gon na go ahead and power. It up right now we're gon na look at the screen here and right. As we see this process bar here, I mean get back out. We'Re gon na hold down the power button again to hard shut it off here, just gon na take a second here. This Alienware computer takes a little bit of time. So not this right here, we're gon na wait until the windows is firing up here. Wait one! Second and right here, but we're gon na go ahead and wait till we see that right there now we're gon na hold holding down the power button right now, and it should turn off like that. Okay, so you're gon na have to hold it down for a while. Alright, so we just did a hard shutdown right now and now it's gon na fire back up again. If it doesn't automatically fire up like mine, just did then what you want to do. Is you want to go ahead and hit the power button here?

So now, what it's going to do? It'S actually gon na come up into a menu like this now upon starting. You will see this screen right here. Windows, Error, recovery, launch, startup, repair, recommended start windows. Normally you want to go ahead and click on launch startup repair recommended you can push enter on your keyboard. Now it's going to load the files windows files here and this next screen. Of course, it's going to go through its little normal startup here routine. Until we get to this menu right here, your computer wasn't able to start and you'll go ahead and see a little searching menu here now a screen might pop up in the first few minutes of this, and it says: do you want to like restore automatically or Something like that go ahead and push cancel, because what you want to do it might pop up again it might not. You want this to cycle through its gon na. Take me the first time I did this. It took me about 10 12 minutes.

I expect the same thing depends on how slow your system is, might be upwards of a little bit more than that, so we're gon na go ahead and let this cycle through. So what we're gon na do is we're gon na do something else right now, while we wait for this to go ahead and just cycle through its little deal and I'll be back with you for the next screen, all right guys now after some time here it Was about maybe 8 to 10 minutes for me, maybe even less than that you're gon na see this screen right here. Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically. What you want to do now is you want to go ahead and come down here to view problem. Details check that little triangle right here, and this is gon na drop down right here now. What you want to do is come over here to the right drop that all the way down and now what we want to do here is we see two links, the very very bottom one here. You want to go ahead and click on that one and then you'll see a large notepad file that opens up.

Then. What we want to do is the top left up here of the notepad file. We want to go ahead and highlight file drop that down and you want to go ahead and click on open, which is the second one, and that brings up this menu right here, desktop libraries, computer system. Your should look exactly like this or very similar. Okay. Now, right here we're gon na go under computer, so double click on computer and then what you want to do is you want to find your local disk? Now yours is gon na, be probably different than mine. We have a CD drive, etc, etc, but what we want is the local disk, alright guys. Now, if you do not see local disk, then my option is the exact same as yours: Windows 7, so go ahead and double click on local disk. If you see it, if not, if yours is like this says, Windows, seven C Drive or something like that, go ahead and double-click on that. That brings us to this menu here and now we're gon na go ahead and scroll down right over here until we get over here to Windows. Double click on that folder option right there. Now it comes to this menu here now for this portion right here. What we want to do is we want to scroll down to system 32, but before we do that, we want to go ahead and click on files of type and go ahead and choose all files here now what we're gon na do again we're gon na scroll. It until we see system 32, which I went by it right here - system 32 go ahead and double click on system 32 brings us to this menu right here, alright, guys now with this screen here, what you want to do is there's a lot of files in Here again, look how small our little scroll wheel is here, but what you want to do is you want to just scroll down, get away from the files, the folder files into what you start seeing things like this here now.

This is all alphabetical order. It should be, if not you're gon na just scroll down again, I'm alphabetic order, I'm just gon na go ahead and hard scroll all the way down to the esses and what we're looking for. Let me show you precisely we're looking for set h-c. So again, you want to go alphabetical order, set H, see right here, that's exactly the one we're looking for set H, see now what you want to do is you want to go ahead and click on it. So let me show you how to click on it. Here so you're gon na click on it once click on it twice, and then it's gon na highlight like that and then what you want to do is you want to rename it? So what we're gon na do is we're gon na keep it just like that and we're gon na add just the letter. How about we'll add just seven to that. So now it's gon na be literally it's gon na, be the name set H, c7 or set c7 whatever you want to call it there.

Alright, now we're gon na go a hit enter on the keyboard. Okay, now it's not highlighted anymore, and it looks like that. There fantastic so after we've done that now what we want to do is you want to scroll back up and again we're in alphabetical order, and you want to go up to the C section again: it's an application file and we're looking for CMD, okay, CMD. So we're gon na go up up up up up CMD there. It is right there this one right. There see em D. So what we want to do is we want to go and copy CMD. So I'm gon na left click that then right-click it and we're gon na copy it. Here then, what we're gon na do guys is we're gon na scroll all the way down to the bottom and right underneath the Z one right here: you're gon na right-click it and we're gon na go ahead and paste that so now this is a copy here. So what we want to do now is we want to rename this one as well. So what we're gon na do is once it's highlighted like this.

We'Re gon na go ahead and rename it exactly like the other one. Was s e t, H, C, okay, the original one, not with the added seven on there, so it's gon na look exactly like this here s e THC, we're gon na go ahead and push enter here: okay, fantastic after I pushed in er. Now it looks like that so now, what we're gon na do here guys is we're gon na go ahead and X off of this X out of this and what we see here, we're gon na go ahead and click that back up right there and we don't Want to send the report and we're gon na go ahead and push finish here finish there after you push finish, your computer go ahead and it shuts off so now what we want to do is we want to go ahead and power, it back up and we'll. Let that boot back up there for just a second back at the startup menu here now. What we want to do is the files that we switched over. We switched over from sticky keys.

Now we actually are gon na be able to do command prompt. So from this menu right here come down to your keyboard and what we're gon na do here guys on the keyboard is right here: shift you're gon na hit that five times and then command prompt will pop up right here. So let's go ahead and hit it. Five times, one two three four five and that pops up right there command prompt, Seth, C, Exe or se, th c e, X E and now what we do here, we're gon na go ahead and type in right after a windows, system32, ok, guys so right after System. 32 right here, you can go ahead. If you already know the user you want to get into, you can go ahead and put that after a net user, but I'm gon na go ahead and just put net user right after system 32. Let'S go ahead and spell it out right here in a t space, us e, our and we're gon na hit enter, but let me show you exactly what it looks like here again right after their net user now we're gon na push enter here. Okay, there are a couple users under this system and so administrator.

can go ahead and get into that one or that one again, yours will list out every single user that it has the command completed with one or more errors. Okay right here. So what we want to do is we want to then choose net user, whatever name you want to get at. You can do this a couple times if you need to get through and delete all the passwords or change the passwords for everyone. Let'S go ahead and choose Col for right now. What we're gon na do now that that fresh system command right there is under way we're gon na go ahead and do again net space user space, c/o le2 Cole go ahead and hit the spacebar I already have, so you want a space after Cole or your Name and then we need to put star okay, star, which is gon na, be the 8 and so shift. We want that star symbol there, so that is what you want it to look like their net user, your name whatever administrative one name, you have and then its star symbol. Okay, now we're gon na go ahead and push enter here now. It says right here, type a password for the user.

Okay, now, whatever I type on the keyboard right here, it will not show up right here, so you will be typing in, but it will not show up. Okay, because it's like for security right, so I can type out like a bunch of letters, but nothing will happen here and then it will ask me to confirm: that's if you want to type a new password in for the user, all right guys. Now, if you do not want to use a password, you want to leave it blank so that every time you sign on you don't even have to input a password. Then you just leave it blank and you push enter so let's go ahead and just leave it. Blank and we're gon na push enter, and then it says retype the password to confirm and we're gon na go ahead and hit enter one more time and that's just gon na go ahead and the command completed successfully right. Here again now I have no password on there, but of course, if you wanted one, you would input it confirm it, and then it would say you know successfully.

Okay, now after this right here, we're going to go ahead and type out exit exit4 that removes the command prompt screen, and now we see coal right here and now. What we're gon na do is because there is no password we're just gon na go ahead and hit this arrow and we're gon na go ahead and log on right there and it says, welcome, and this might take a second to boot on up, but we'll show You that there is no password needed, because we went back door on Windows 7 there we go absolutely fantastic, guys, can't open a CPI ATK zero. One kernel mobile driver, no idea what that is, but we are in let's go ahead and get rid of that. You have to install a KT driver. Oh you know what that is. That is my new graphics card that I put in this computer. So don't worry about that guys. Your computer's, probably not gon na, say that, because I did put a new graphics card in them.

All right, let's just get rid of all - that I do - need to install the driver for the computer for that to work, but guys that is it now, I'm in and whatever this guy had on the computer. I now have access to and so guys this is a lesson to be learned again. I am gon na delete anything that shouldn't be on here or inappropriate or anything like that, but I did again find this computer dumpster-diving hard drive came separately, but I'm just showing you guys how to get in if you find it or buy one and they forgot To tell you where they forgot, the password you bought it on eBay, etc. Hopefully this video has helped you guys mash a thumbs up. Bodyguard III: Avengers Assemble (Chapter 8) (B. Urie x Reader)

“GRENADE!”

On the Helicarrier bridge, the small device exploded, sending agents flying in every direction. In the smoke, Loki’s men entered, guns at the ready.

Fury knocked one out, using his handgun to shoot at another. While he moved to take care of a third, a fourth man entered. Unbeknownst to The Director, the henchman aimed his gun at his head, about to blow his brains out.

Agent Hill shot him in the head, eyes blazing. She was pissed.

And bleeding.

Giving her a short nod, Fury proceeded to join her in attacking the rest of the assailants. The place was chaotic; every available agent was playing defence, protecting the Helicarrier as best they could, while the tech employees scrambled in search of a hiding place.

Over the intercom, Agent Coulson’s voice sounded all throughout the ship. “We’ve got the Hulk, Thor and Snowflake on Research Level Four. Levels Two and Three are gone.”

Agent Hill yelled out almost immediately, knowing full well what a battle between three super-strong inhumans meant. “Sir, the Hulk will tear this place apart!”

“Get his attention,” Fury instructed calmly.

“Escort 6-0, proceed to Wishbone and engage hostile,” Hill said over the comms, “Don’t get too close.”

On the outside of the Helicarrier, a fighter jet pulled up. “Copy.”

The young pilot directed the jet over to where you, Thor and Hulk were fighting, seemingly evenly matched in terms of strength.

“Target acquired,” he spoke, aiming the jet’s guns at the Hulk, “Target engaged.”

Within a split second, a flurry of bullets were headed toward Hulk. The barrage of metal did no harm, each and every one of them bouncing off of his green skin.

It did no harm, but it certainly pissed him off.

Hulk roared, running at the window. Crashing through the glass, he leapt at the jet.

“Target angry,” the pilot panicked, screaming once the Hulk landed on his jet, “TARGET ANGRY!”

Landing on the nose, Hulk tore at the metal of the jet as it swerved in the air. The pilot tried to eject himself, but he didn’t manage to get very far, sicnce Hulk grabbed him and threw him and his seat off to the side.

Fortunately, the parachute deployed just in time, and he was able to make a safe getaway, propelled further away as the jet exploded, sending Hulk plummeting to the Earth.

Research Level Four.

Groaning, you gripped the edge of a nearby desk station and steadied yourself, faint flecks of orange reflecting in your eyes as you watched the fighter jet explode.

“Shit,” you mumbled, sucking in a breath as you turned to look at Thor, “you think he’s okay?”

“He was able to battle the both of us without any issue,” he responded, standing up himself, “I am certain he is fine.”

Nodding to yourself, you tossed a quick glance around the mostly destroyed area, suddenly remembering why your altercation with the Hulk had happened.

“Loki,” you said, face hardening.

Starting for the exit, Thor spoke over his shoulder. “Help where you can. I have him.”

“Right,” you spoke under your breath, lightly chewing on the inside of your cheek.

You weren’t entirely familiar with the dynamic of Thor and Loki’s relationship, and from a S.H.I.E.L.D agent’s standpoint, allowing the brothers to interact without the prescence of another Avenger was an insansely risky move.

But you let Thor go it alone because as you just then remembered – you had another two men to deal with.

The bridge.

Bullets were flying in every direction as the S.H.I.E.L.D agents fired at Loki’s men, trying to keep them at bay. Fury was at the forefront, shooting at the enemies.

“They are not getting through here so what the-“

Rounding the corner, Agent Barton fired explosive arrows throughout the area, wrecking havoc and disorientating almost everyone in sight. He fired one more arrow, which hit the control panel; the arrowhead broke apart to reveal some sort of USB device and inserted itself into one of the control plugs, hacking the system.

“Engine One is now in shutdown,” a computerised voice rang over the intercom as the Helicarrier began to tilt dangerously. Everyone in the bridge was knocked off of their feet.

“Sir,” Dallon cried out urgently, trying his best to keep himself upright as he rushed to his station, “we’ve lost all power in Engine One.”

Staggering over to some railings, Fury pressed one finger to his ear and spoke over the comm network.

“It’s Barton, he took out our systems. He’s headed for the detention lab. Does anybody copy?”

Down in the lower engine room, Natasha sat in the carnage of Hulk’s rampage, shaking. Slowly, she lifted a hand to her earpiece.

“This is Agent Romanoff,” she said softly, voice shaky, “I copy.”

Detention centre.

Running toward the cage where his brother was being kept, Thor saw the glass door begin to slide open.

“No!” he yelled, running forward to prevent Loki from escaping, only to go straight through him.

Reappearing behind him, Loki shut the door, locking Thor inside the cage.

“Are you ever not going to fall for that?” he mused cheekily.

Angrily, Thor struck his hammer against the glass; the cage cracked, but the attack caused it to shake off the bolts securing it in place, threatening to send the god on a thousand mile decline.

Mockingly, Loki let out a short laugh as he treaded over to the control panel. “The humans think us immortal…” he looked at his brother with a questioning stare, “shall we test that theory?”

In a matter of seconds, the God of Mischief had pressed a button that opened a chute beneath the cell, which would drop Thor to what (for any regular person) would be certain death.

Coulson suddenly appeared, weilding a large prototype Phase Two weapon.

“Move away please,” the agent asked politely, trepidation only barely evident in his tone.

Loki stepped back from the panel and Coulson gestured to the gun.

“Do you like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the Destroyer. Even I don’t know what it does. Do you wanna find out?”

The agent prepared to fire the weapon, but Loki disappeared. Reappearing behind Coulson, the god thrust the point of his dagger through the agent’s chest. Crying out, Coulson dropped to the floor.

“NO!” Thor hit his fist against the cage wall.

Returning to the panel, Loki pressed one more button, sending the cell – and Thor – flying from the ship.

Bleeding out and nearing his death, Coulson layed slumped against the wall of the detention centre, watching Loki as he turned to leave.

“You’re going to lose.”

Stopping in his tracks, Loki gave a brief glance over his shoulder. “Am I?”

“It’s in your nature.”

Turning so that he was facing the agent, Loki gestured with both hands as he replied. “Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky… where is my disadvantage?”

“You lack conviction.”

Loki’s face soured, and his tone turned harsh. “I don’t think I-“

Coulson took his oppurtunity, then, and fired the weapon. A blast of blue energy sent Loki flying through a wall.

“So that’s what it does.”

Engine 3.

The Helicarrier was still falling, gaining speed as it declined. Iron Man was inside engine 3, attempting to kick start it by manually moving the huge rotors. He pushed the blades, flying faster and faster until they were able to spin on their own, leveling the ship.

“Cap,” Tony called out from inside the helmet, “hit the lever!”

Steve, who had been attacked by Loki’s men, was dangling from the side of the ship by a power chord. “I need a minute here!”

“Lever! Now!”

Cap hauled himself up, hurrying toward the lever.

Iron Man was pushed up against one of the rotors, which was now spinning too fast for him to escape.

“Uh-oh.”

Sucked into the blades, Iron Man was spun around wildly, trapped until Steve was finally able to pull the lever.

Now free, Tony was able to right himself and flew back to the ship, taking out the gunman who had resumed his attack on Steve.

Both men sat, absolutely spent, on the damaged, exposed floor of the Helicarrier. Looking out into the sky, they caught sight of a quinjet taking off from the deck of the ship.

Inside of it was Loki, who smiled down at the Helicarrier as it strayed further and further from his sight.

Detention centre.

Fury rushed into the room, taking a kneeling postion beside Coulson’s limp body.

“I’m sorry, boss,” the agent said, gun still in his lap, “They got rabbitted.”

“Just stay awake,” Fury urged, tilting Coulson’s head, “Eyes on me.”

“Oh, I’m clockin’ out, here.”

“Not an option.”

Mustering up a weak smile, Fury’s right hand man reassured him one last time, “It’s okay, boss. This was never gonna work… if they didn’t have something… to-“

His breathing came to a halt. Regretfully, Fury stood up, letting the medical team through. He leaned against the railing.

Corridor, near the infirmary.

You were running down the corridor, coming up on the room that Brendon and Aaron were in, when your godfather’s voice sounded out over the comms.

“Agent Coulson is down.”

You stopped dead in your tracks.

✧✧✧

Engine room.

Natasha stood on the catwalk, facing away as Barton was dragged away by some agents. She listened over the comms intently.

“A medical team is on its way to your location,” one of the other agents informed.

“They’re here,” Fury replied.

Engine 3.

Tony and Steve stood together by the engine, listening quietly.

“They called it.”
