Finally got some free time Time to do some sketches! It is a bit sad that we didn't get to see an interaction between Lapis and Jasper in SUF.  Oh well

Steven and spinel: *they sat back to back against each other with a broken look across their face as neither of them was talking*

Spinel: am... Am I broken, Steven... *she asked thinking about how Pink had easily left her behind*

Steven: no... Am I a monster... *he said as he thought about how he turned into a monster and almost destroyed beach city*

Spinel: no you not... *she said softly as she slowly stretched her arm backwards, placing it where Steven could see it*

Steven: *he glanced down and saw her hand before slowly grabbing it. both of them squeezed each other hand softly, knowing they would be there for each other without any words actually needing to be said*

that’s for me to find out! no legit I’m still trying to plan out how to deal with Jasper and Peridot’s arrival I can daydream plot but I gotta wait to see how Steven develops to see Spinel’s reaction and that is a long way away

Artober day 6! It’s been a while since I drew any Steven Universe, it’s kinda nice to go back, heh. Idk where I was going with this, but song was The Silence by Bastille and I guess I just thought of how Steven grew and was always encouraging people to talk you know?

And then the reverse happens and man. Future still hits a very sore but also relatable spot for me, heh.
