dream board pumpkin color shaped by zac. Inspired by parmenter, NPJ, Kidman, Jobson, lots more. Jonah, zac and I had a fun night taking curves from multiple existing outline and creating new ones and came up with a really cool balanced shape.

Fin set up is based off widow maker with NPJs dims on fin size with a little smaller center fin and bigger side fins than a classic widow maker. Center fin set forward a bit. Carbon rails, glassed on g10 center fin foiled by zk, Clark foam high density foam side fins by Jonah, stringerless PU blank, gel coat bottom.

Now just need some waves to test drive!

Hey Jim. I tried responding to your questions but it got erased twice so here’s another go.

The convex depth on this one is about 3/8” at the rails then goes to a flat section of about 4” on either side of stringer so the curve doesn’t go all the way to the stringer.

I used a US blanks 7’3” A with minus 1/2” nose rocker custom then cut out some of the apex of the rocker curve with cross cuts to flatten it out a bit. I also pushed the template as far back to the tail as I could to minimize nose rocker. The stringerless one I made had stock rocker and it is too much at about 5” for regular LA surf. It feels squarly through the mid section. The new one is closer to my usual slight rolled boards.

My go to blanks are the SP range with custom lower tail rocker but I wanted to try something different. I don’t like how the front 1/3 of the 7’4” SP gets so thin when you plane it out. The 7’3” has really nice foam distribution. Thick up front to thin in the tail

Good info. I've noticed the same about the SP series. It's hard to make those blanks work for longfish in the 7'6" to 8' range for waves down here in SD. The 7'3"A is my favorite blank to shape with because it's rocker arc and foam distribution are so on point. Jim
