i love adhd. i have a lot to do at work today. i take my meds. i open the word document. i immediately misspell “benzodiazepines.” i go on tumblr to post “benzodiazepenis….” for the mutualés. and then it’s 45 minutes later and ive caught up on tumblr and checked the weather and read a fic and texted an ex and ordered new pens and looked up a recipe for chicken pot pie and posted about adhd and done zero work.

We consume so much media these days, that rarely anything sticks in the brain. I truly think this scene will never leave me. It feels so raw, watching these events unfold for these characters that feel like family to us. They have been with us for so long. Karen being traumatised by Foggy and the possibility of Matt too. Her nightmare is becoming a reality. Pleading for it all to change and there is nothing she can do. It felt like we were right there with her. If you can get your audience to feel that, you know you are doing something right. Deborah Ann Woll you were absolutely phenomenal in this.

My friend and I are playing Split Fiction and it’s a GREAT couch co-op game for being fun, having varied mechanics, and fantastic visuals. We are having a great time but omg the story is so, so bad. It’s so bad that it swings around to good because my friend and I are just making fun of it. Which, while enjoyable, I don’t think was the intention, lol. We call them Bouba and Kiki because the studio really did make these two “soft” and “sharp”.

Bouba canonically says “ninger”. She really says ninja with a hard R. When referring to her companion who is a PoC. How am I supposed to root for this person and not just laugh at the audacity of this character? My friend and I bust a gut laughing at the absurdity. XD

Desperately needed a scene where Buck finds out about Maddie and breaks down. Everything is falling apart and his sister almost died but at his side is Eddie…until he won’t be.

“I don’t blame you for going but I feel like you’re leaving me” Buck says his voice breaking. And something breaks in Eddie too and he goes to him apologizing. “I don’t know what else to do- I’m so sorry Buck. I’m so so sorry.” And together they pick up the pieces. Mixing them up as they always have because they’re part of one whole. Trying to overcome this- make sense of it all (pushing down all the realizations that come with this).

And then they drive to the hospital and they sit facing each other because of course fucking they do. Thinking they’re not enough for each other, that they’ll bring more pain than comfort. Just watching from a distance because that’s safe and expected! But I know its unbearable and I know that this is ripping them apart. Until, thankfully, Maddie is okay and Chim is okay and the baby is okay and everyone can have time to heal. So Buck and Eddie go back to their house...they try to move on…Buck bakes…and Eddie packs…yeah what the fuck happened to a scene like this.
