Now I love me some MosBank but I'm having a problem with Sunset x Vibes. I think it's just that there is SO MUCH PLOT. And it's all disconnected.

We've got our main romance (creepy pet names and all) - so that's CEO + Intern. But there's also a secret fiance, two guys who are hiding the fact that they're rich (Lin and Sam - not to mention Sun at the beginning), a secondary couple (Sam & Yo my loves) a third couple (Pim & Prim) industrial espionage, a fight for the future of the company and to top it off dreams, visions and a mystical naga story.

Now you could have added some of these to the main romance and it would be fine but all of them? it's like someone threw plot points at the wall to see what stuck and none fell off.

This might be the cutest shit I have ever seen in my life. I’m on Episode 3 of SunsetxVibes and my opinion so far is - no plot just bros being in love. My favorite kind of romance story.

Welcome to my rant about Sunset Vibes. I’m annoyed so I’m making it everyone’s problem…

I have watched the first 3 episodes of Sunset Vibes, I was excited for a good office romance, we love a spicy “HR violations the series” in this house…. So why, why even though it’s very much a show with two leading men why the fuck do I feel like I’m watching a deeply het show about a young girl with big dreams, zero personality and even less braincells who meets an interesting guy online hooks up with him without knowing what she’s doing and ends up pregnant because she has so little sex education she still thinks holding hands is how babies are made???? Why is THIS the vibe I’m getting from this series?! All I keep thinking is you could slot a woman into the role of Lin and you’ve got yourself a romcom from 2005 that didn’t age well.

I get the shrinking Violet thing, I get the demure ingenue thing, I hate both, but if played lightly I can tollerate this kind of character… but WOW, Lin?? Lin is next level.. if I’m being completely honest the script just makes Lin look dumb as rocks, a genuine plot point as proposed by Lin is that they should keep their relationship secret “so Sun doesn’t get in trouble” sweetie… Sun will never get in trouble, Sun LITERALLY runs this company? Sun is rich as hell… Things go south you’re a liability and you’re a disposable intern not even actually employed by the company… like the amount of times in 3 EPISODES I shouted “GROW THE FUCK UP” when Lin is just… completely clueless about how life works? Uhg anyways, all this to say I hate this show and I’m super bummed about it cause I was excited and I do kind of like the side couples… I may have to skip through for just their plots at some point…

With so many quality shows right now it’s more important than ever that series like Battle of the Writers recognize that Sunset Vibes is almost over and come riding in to fill the “utterly incomprehensible and cringy” niche.

Just caught up to the end of ep 4 of Sunset x Vibes and yes, Sun and Lin's romance is very sweet but I am ALL IN for Sam and Yo. They are everything.

Also I see we have a new BL house - i recognise the rooms in Sun's place. I have to say the exterior here matches the interior better than it did in My Stand In.
