Sat outside for lunch today and immediately got sunburned.

This should not have been surprising since I am a vampire.

“You know another one?” Hobbie asked him, raising an eyebrow.

“Give me those!” the Princess ordered, and snatched the binocs without waiting for a reply.

Her jaw tightened.

“It is him. Kriff. We were told by our sources that he was killed in a speeder crash two weeks ago.”

“What do we do about it?” Wedge asked softly.

Hobbie scrunched his face at his friend.

“What the kark do you mean ‘do about it’? We leave him there to rot. That , Antilles, is the enemy .”

The Princess rested her chin on the binocs and chewed her bottom lip thoughtfully.

“Top General for Death Squadron,” she mused. “No, this is valuable. We get him too.”

Both pilots looked at her in disbelief. It had been bad enough that she had insisted they go back for Nigel, rather than prioritizing her own safety. But Princess Leia was very much of the ‘leave no man behind’ mentality. She had declared in no uncertain terms that Nigel had sacrificed himself to protect her and they were not leaving him on this Force forsaken planet.

I miss having a cat. Cats are nice. I don't require a fancy cat. A basic bitch brown tabby would do nicely. But I can't just get a cat on my own initiative while I live with my family and honestly Hannah and Barbara would not be able to keep their hands off a kitten; I don't mean they'd hurt it but it wouldn't get a moment's peace.

ryss deals rather well with the heat! and thank god given that her partner is well. a walking furnace eheheh

you're more likely to hear her complain about being cold than warm usually, but when things get unbearable, her favorite way of cooling down is to go for a swim! in the sea, in a lake, in a river, doesn't matter! she loves to swim around to exercise, to try to spot fishes if she can, or even just to let herself be rocked by the waves if she's staying there for a while.

it's her favorite method but it's not rare that it backfires on her. after all, she is not immune to sunburns, and floating on the sea is definitely not a good way to avoid them! in the summer and/or in sunny locales, she's often sporting the worst tan lines known to man after a few too many sunburns. even when she's not suffering from a recent sunburn, her skin is littered with sunspots because of that!

My body is so weird. Like I hardly ever get sick, I haven't been in Serious serious need of medical attention since I was four, I've never even broken a bone or anything and I'm generally very fit and in pretty good shape. But when I do get something worse than a very mild cold you bet it's fuckin everything at once. Muscle aches (normal, expected), a proper cold (annoying but I can deal), a bad sunburn that had me shivering and affected areas fuckin burn late at night (can't remember when I last got a sunburn at all and fuck it hurts), chest pain leading to a hospital visit in the middle of the night (kinda terrifying at the time, afawk I just managed to Somehow pull some muscles between my ribs and it's nothing dangerous but fuck man and breathing does hurt if I breathe too deeply) like. Whoah. Slow down a bit. Can we maybe have one after the other. And maybe not while on holiday for a few days. And maybe not the fuckign hospital in the bloody mountains so we have to drive an hour increasingly concerned bc chest pain can get really dangerous real quick and several relatives have, in fact, had heart or lung problems even if those had no genetic causes or sumn

Good news is 1. write, 2. we did get one cool mountain tour in, 3. a necessary experience for a writer tbh 4. due to driving at ass o'clock we got to see the most pretty stars and i caught 5 entire shooting stars i think
