HE STARES BACK AT THE YOUNG GOD WITH APPARENT DISTASTE . he knows that Dirthamen was right , damn well that the kid knows more than he should about where he's been . it doesn't make accepting it any easier but Elgar'nan had sworn to be less of a problem than he was back then . though being less of something still makes him such an issue anyway . " ugh , have i ever told you i hate it when other people are right ? " there it was , the usual frustrated sigh followed by an exclamation of his own annoyance . " no longer emperor of the gods , the heavens --- whatever we called it then ! we are no longer their gods when the Rebellion happened . "

even if it hurt to not be the center of worship , or praised in any way , Elgar'nan couldn't stop the swell of pride he had when that happened . he grew to have an unwavering hope --- a belief in the People to make a stand for themselves . even if it meant that he was the one they have to fight back . what goes around , comes around wasn't it ?

was this what it meant to humble yourself ? the All-Father wonders in his own silence , unaware that the God of Secrets still waited for him to speak again . Elgar'nan doesn't , instead opting to look away from the once-fledgling he raised & up towards the skies . his mask was still on , but the light of the sun still blinded his eyes --- he closes them slowly , allowing the warmth to soak in . for a moment , until he remembers a distant memory that had him clench a fistful of snow & gravel .

memories from so long ago can still hurt him all the way into the future , shadows that will continue to haunt him until his last breath . whenever that was .

" yet the world is falling to pieces again , don't you think ? " finally Elgar'nan speaks but always there was no filtering of his frankness about his opinion . " another cycle is coming to an end & i wonder if this time round , we'd still have a world by the end of it . "

Dirthamen's patience, if anything has grown with the time apart and with his eerie habit of staring unblinkingly, still as a statue carved from marble, he waited, refusing to form an opinion, let alone a reply before he heard all the All-Father had to say.

And all the time the endless whispers of Elgar'nan's devastating secrets kept haunting Dirthamen's consciousness. These days - oddly enough - they weren't as vicious anymore, less snarling, more howling - as if the great beast caged within, has finally realized it's own helplessness.

"Petulant", he finally said, after taking a moment to process Elgar'nan's words. The word was whispered with a huff of amusement. Not judgment, nor blame, just fond exasperation for his father's never-ending grouse and disapproval.

With another noiseless huff, he offers his thoughts: "If there is one thing, you and Ras have taught me the hard way, it is that life - however hard it gets beaten down - finds a way to persevere." It should hurt - talking about his twin soul and the constant surprise of his own fading life taking its sweet time- but in the ever reliable presence of the All-Father Dirthamen feels safe from the more biting sorrows, as if he was shielded from them - cradled.

"I once watched Harellin mourning a dead Bonsai of his own making. He had raised it for almost a hundred years, before a bug got to the roots and killed it off. Before the last branch of it turned grey and dead, he cut it from the tree and with the cut still wet and bleeding, he stuck it into a pot of fresh soil. Fifty years later, it was a new little tree to decorate my garden."

Waiting a beat to listen once more to the tumultuous wails and whispers from Elgar'nan's innermost core, his eyes twinkled softly, almost reverting to the innocent gaze of awe, the young god used to regard the All-Father with.

"I find it hard to believe, that my father has not long since already picked his branches."

they didn’t often have a moment to stretch their legs and wings.  there was an inherent risk now that they were attempting to acclimate with the qelxaʾniq; therefore, they had to pick their locations carefully.  today, maqyaža managed to find a wooded area nestled against some rocky mountains, complete with a small waterfall.  once they had thoroughly checked the perimeter, they shed their humanoid form in a surge of lightning (which scorched the rock upon which they stood).  from the crackling of electricity, they emerged as a huge blue dragon and did a fully body shake before wading into the pool of water that the waterfall fed. 

they took most of the space, and the water only submerged half of their body, but maqyaža enjoyed themselves nevertheless and began to ‘bathe.’

If he could convince the former Evanuris to work alongside him, he would be able to accomplish more than he would have by himself. ~

ABSOLUTELY. greer is not necessarily a LIAR - she does not make a habit out of it - but she has no qualms fudging the truth in order to gain the ends she desires. before the attack on highever it was a less common occurrence, though she would tell white lies or omit truths on certain facts in order to get into or out of situations ; telling her tutor that her mama had asked to speak with her in order to distract just long enough to slip loose of the walls of highever was not UNUSUAL. once her family is killed, greer’s lies grow out of necessity. waving the surname cousland around would draw howe’s agents, and while she has no issue SLAYING THEM, she does want to avoid attention. she will lie to keep herself and what little is left of her family safe, no matter the circumstance.

Cache Valley Bank, Logan, Utah, Assumes All of the Deposits of Proficio Bank, Cottonwood Heights, Utah

Proficio Bank, Cottonwood Heights, Utah, was closed today by the Utah Department of Financial Institutions, which appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as receiver. To protect the depositors, the FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Cache Valley Bank, Logan, Utah, to assume all of the deposits of Proficio Bank.

The sole branch of Proficio Bank will reopen as a branch of Cache Valley Bank during its normal business hours. Depositors of Proficio Bank will automatically become depositors of Cache Valley Bank. Deposits will continue to be insured by the FDIC, so there is no need for customers to change their banking relationship to retain their deposit insurance coverage up to applicable limits. Customers of Proficio Bank should continue to use their existing branch until they receive notice from Cache Valley Bank that it has completed systems changes to allow other Cache Valley Bank branches to process their accounts, as well.

This evening and over the weekend, depositors of Proficio Bank can access their money by writing checks or using ATM or debit cards. Checks drawn on the bank will continue to be processed. Loan customers should continue to make their payments as usual.

As of December 31, 2016, Proficio Bank had approximately $68.2 million in total assets and $65.0 million in total deposits. In addition to assuming all of the deposits of the failed bank, Cache Valley Bank agreed to purchase $60.1 million of the failed bank's assets. The FDIC will retain the remaining assets for later disposition.

Customers with questions about the transaction should call the FDIC toll-free at 1-800-930-5170. The phone number will be operational this evening until 9 p.m., Mountain Time (MT); on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., MT; on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., MT; on Monday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., MT; and thereafter from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., MT. Interested parties also can visit the FDIC's website at https://www.fdic.gov/bank/individual/failed/proficio.html.

The FDIC estimates that the cost to the Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) will be $11.0 million. Compared to other alternatives, Cache Valley Bank's acquisition was the least costly resolution for the FDIC's DIF. Proficio Bank is the third FDIC-insured institution to fail in the nation this year, and the first in Utah. The last FDIC-insured institution closed in the state was SunFirst Bank, Saint George, on November 4, 2011.
