INTRODUCTION
hiii again, this is my (duha) second muse bae sunhee ('96, she/they), guitarist of last light & family disappointment. like i mentioned in my other intro, you can like this post if you're interested in plotting a thread with her (feel free to choose between her or taejun hehe)! i'm down to pre-plot something established or go off of chem. sunhee in particular is more open ended since she wasn't present on set as much, but she definitely gets around, so there's a decent chance they've already into each other off set or will see her around now (threat).
fun fact: she did, in fact, rent out her own studio to get drunk & high in while she was supposed to be helping her bandmates get the album together for the movie. this comes during her tailspin after her father's unexpected passing, which happened to break news around the same time their band is signed for the soundtrack, so her fallout with that collided spectacularly with their film involvement.
TOP 3 SONGS CREDITED TO BAE SUNHEE
"late bloom" - performed by last light, lyrics credited under sunhee's name. the lyrics allude to a narrator who has taken too long to realize their feelings for a girl, likening the realization to a flower's late bloom.
"friends in high places" - performed by last light, lyrics credited under sunhee's name. the lyrics play on the notion of having "friends in high places," though instead of it referring to having friends with social/political power, it refers to friends who are better-adjusted and in "higher" places in life.
"so anyway" - released as an unofficial recording on her personal twitter account in september 2024. a slow, dissonant rock, considered a departure from last light's sound but not entirely from her personality. the lyrics are through the perspective of someone talking to objects in their apartment as they're moving out.
TIMELINE
born to her loving parents bae jungho & bae heejin. they separate on amicable terms when she's 2, and they remain such responsible parents about it that later on, sunhee can't really point the cause of her neuroses towards a fractured family.
she just happens to become closer with her father. her mother is a decorated researcher and travels frequently for conferences, so sunhee grows up mostly with her dad. bae jungho is a retired classical musician, who was once a child prodigy. not a huge name with the normies, but definitely in the classical music world.
there are great expectations for sunhee at a young age, but again, her parents are remarkably responsible and remind her, over and over, that she can be anything she wants, that she can take her time, that she's allowed to make mistakes. sunhee thinks that's easy to say for people who are born gifted & so effortless about their contributions to Society. despite her parents' joint nurturing, she grows up troubled and constantly feeling like she's running out of time to be remarkable.
her father was a prodigy at 12. at 21, sunhee is sneaking out to rock concerts and hooking up with girls with cool guitars, pretending she doesn't care that she's probably disappointing her parents. she doesn't. they remind her constantly that they could never be disappointed in her, so. so.
the band saves her, in a way. gives her accountability, something to be responsible for that isn't just her hungover self. she latches, but soon her self sabotaging streak rears its ugly head.
at 27, her father passes. he leaves her most of his fortune, a nice little nest egg that's supposed to help her pursue her dreams. to his dying breath, he's a good father.
sunhee uses that money to rent the studio.
she still has it rented to her name to this day. she's had a piano brought in since; she's been starting to get back into piano again, as a side project from the band. sometimes, when she crashes out in the studio, she swears she can hear her father's favorite pieces playing. like he used to before, they help lull her to sleep.
IMPRESSIONS ON & OFF SET
whenever she visited the set, she gave the impression of being in a hurry. if you asked if she was busy, she would bluntly but honestly tell you no. she seemed unaware of the brusque nature she gives off.
off set, she's unfortunately a cliche of a troubled rockstar hurtling towards self destruction. sunhee seems aware of that, though. the bad publicity doesn't get to her --- not because she doesn't care, but because she seems to already know everything they say as a fact about herself.
makes friends fast, lets herself lose them fast.
abides by two adages: 1) people can't be disappointed in you if you set their expectations low from the beginning, and 2) no one really knows what the fuck they're doing with their lives, and the best you can do is sometimes go in and out of each other's and help make it good for a little while. you don't live the kind of life that people would want to end up in. if people go, then it's for the better, especially for them.
feels weirded out about everyone's reactions to this "curse." to her, she didn't experience anything, bc she just chalked up the "hearing your dead dad play piano to you" as part of her grief at the time. very steven crain from hill house the show about it, outspoken about the very real possibility that maybe they are all just psychologically troubled, not haunted.
CONNECTIONS
in place of a plots page for now, here are some pre-established connections she can have if anyone's interested:
closed. (fem locked, 27+ locked) regular fwbs who started seeing each other after the movie. sunhee is pretty strict about having no strings attached, but this might be the longest genuine connection she's had with someone (read: she doesn't immediately turn around and walk away when she sees them in a public setting). it's a little weird now that they'll see each other regularly, but they're both gotten good at ignoring everything else in favorite of a quick thrill.
(fem locked, 27+ locked) childhood friends, potentially a first love. i would love if this connection formed when they were younger and sunhee was less of a wreck as she is now. she would've been sweet on muse, though ultimately her personality would have never allowed her to actually pursue it. they reconnected at some point during the 2024 filming, but time has changed their dynamic --- we could plot out exactly how it did. ideally i'd love for the love that sunhee had for this muse to have transcended romantic love by now, and instead this muse just holds a special place in sunhee's heart. she'd be rather protective of them in present day.
a lyrical muse. one of the many inspirations for a song that sunhee wrote for their band...but inspiration can take so many forms. i'd love if this muse actually inspired one of her angriest songs LMAO, out of a pure hatred (onesided or mutual).
an "apprentice." apprentice is a loose term here. this muse would be someone, likely younger, who either has an interest in music, last light, or just thinks sunhee is cool in general (oh god). unfortunately, sunhee is not a good influence and regularly exposes muse to partying, alcohol, drugs, and other generally unsavory practices.
(25+ locked) a mutual bad influence. someone who shares a fascination in seeing just how bad things can get. they fuel each other's self destructive tendencies, are the worst enablers of their worst habits...but also find a weird companionship in waking up absolutely shitfaced from it together afterwards. the habit only picks up now that they're on this reunion together.
a stranger who knows you too well. they crossed paths during one of sunhee's crashouts post-filming. emotions were running high for both of them, and maybe they ended up almost or for real getting into trouble together that night, but it ended in them having an unexpected heart-to-heart about the things they were going through at the time. part of the reason they let their guards down was because both assumed they'd never see each other again after that, but, well...here they are now, still carrying around those little broken pieces of each other's hearts nbd.
fellow family disappointments. nursing any feelings of guilt, doom, fatalism, nihilism, or anything of the like? sunhee wants to hash it out over some alcohol --- or not. are they as emotionally stunted as her? that's okay, let's bring on the alcohol anyway.
"roommate." the one she's sharing a bathroom with for this trip... this is open to anyone and doesn't have to be pre-plotted, but if you DO want to plot smth specific involving them being neighbors then just let me know. :]

Hooked
introduction pt. i | pt. ii | pt. iii
ch. lxxv - two dobbermans in one
<< previous | masterlist | next >>
??? × reader, ateez × reader
A freshman hookup rekindled into something new. With an incentive, of course. But what would happen if your 'relationship' led you somewhere you never thought would happen to you ?

As you, Hongjoong, and Yeosang stepped into the campus housing complex, you were immediately welcomed with the sound of what you could only assume as a stampede.
Before you could even tell neither Hongjoong nor Yeosang, you could see several men running towards you from the distance. Upfront, you could see Mingi and Wooyoung running as fast as they could whilst San, Seonghwa, and surprisingly Jongho followed behind. A little bit further back, you could see Yunho trying to catch up, obviously left behind by the rest.
You couldn't help but grin widely at the sight. You could feel the butterflies in your stomach as your heart swelled with love for them. Before neither Hongjoong nor Yeosang could do anything, you had taken off to meet the other boys halfway.
All of you, except for Hongjoong and Yeosang, crashed onto each other in a big hug. The first to wrap his arms around you was San which then followed by Seonghwa and Mingi, then Wooyoung and Jongho and finally Yunho.
"I'm so glad you're fine, baby," Seonghwa exhaled shakily, arms tightly wound around you protectively. You giggled at him and pulled away from them slightly, "You're dramatic, you know? I'm fine, perfectly fine even, they didn't find anything wrong with me," you grinned at them.
San took one of your hands in his, inspecting it thoroughly with a pout on his face, "are they 100% sure? You hit Sunhee pretty hard last night,"
You slipped your hand from his grasp to cup his face instead. You stared into his eyes before giving him a peck on his nose, "Yes, Sannie, they were 100% sure, I even got an x-ray just to be sure," you assured him.
Wooyoung suddenly pushed forward, pushing San away to take his spot. He had his hands on your waist and a deep pout on his face, "no fair, I want nose kissies too," he whined. The others groaned at his childish behaviour but you only giggle at his adorableness before complying. You leaned in to peck his nose but as you pulled away, he pulled you back in to kiss your lips.
The rest of the boys let out protests, pulling Wooyoung away from you and smacking his arm and scolding him. But Wooyoung only had a goofy grin on his face, looking far too satisfied.
You rolled your eyes at their childish antics, but a smirk remained on your face. As you walk off past them towards the frat.
Realizing this, the boys immediately caught up with you. Mingi and Yunho linked each arm around yours, making sure to not be too rough as you had just gotten back from the hospital. You kept reminding them that you were okay but they insisted that they won't take any chances.
Even as you walked in, the boys immediately rush forward before you to get things ready. Mingi and Yunho led you to the couch, Seonghwa and Jongho ran to the kitchen, telling you that they'll bring you tea. Somehow, San had ran up to your room and back with your blanket in his arms which he immediately draped over your lap while Wooyoung took your shoes off. Hongjoong and Yeosang however, sit idly by the side, snickering at how the others were running around like headless chickens.
You, however, were basking in their affection, feeling somehow special and very much loved by them.
"Are you okay, baby?"
"Are you comfortable?"
"Do you want me to lend you my hoodie?"
"Do you want me to help you change first?" "Woo, not the time,"
"Is this spot good enough for you?"
"Want me to move you to your bedroom?"
The questions they threw at you were neverending and relentless, bordering on nagging. But you didn't find them annoying at all. You answered each of them with a smile on your face, even reassuring them that all you need is for them to stay with you.
Seonghwa once again appeared in front of you, kneeling with a pout on his face, "are you sure you're fine? We can get you literally anything you need," he said, hands on your knees and thumb rubbing gently.
You put the cup of tea on the coffee table and put your hands on top his, your own thumb caressing the back of his hand softly, "I'm 110% sure I'm fine, hwa! What kind of confirmation do you need?" you giggled, finding his caring nature to be quite amusing at the moment.
"(Y/N)'s fine hyung, she's still bad at math! If she'd been in a worse condition, she'd suddenly be good at it," Jongho joked as he plopped down next to you, head on your shoulder as he playfully twined his arm around yours.
As you rolled your eyes at Jongho's teasing, Seonghwa smacked him on his leg, "Don't say that! She just got hurt!" he scolded the younger. Yeosang suddenly piped in from the other side, "Well, having your arm smack someone sure does hurt but I wouldn't say she is HURT hurt, they literally didn't find anything wrong other than her odd cardiac rhythm," he said casually.
Seonghwa's eyes almost bulged out when Yeosang mentioned your odd cardiac rhythm. You could almost see him visibly paled. You sent a glare to Yeosang for not being mindful of his wordings before cupping Seonghwa's face gently, "It wasn't anything serious, I told them it was because I drank coffee and I had quite an exciting night," you explained. But Seonghwa was still not relaxing. "I'm going to start limiting your caffeine intake, young lady, and I won't take no for an answer," he told you.
Before you could retort, San reappeared from the stairs. He skipped over to you and tug your arm, "I made you a bath, come on!" he said excitedly.
You let San tug you up and lead you to the 2nd floor. But then a set of footsteps followed behind you two.
"And where are you going?" Yunho called.
You looked to the side to find Wooyoung casually following you behind.
He blinked innocently before answering Yunho, "(Y/N)'s gonna take a bath," he stated simply.
"And why were you following behind?" Hongjoong asked, arms crossed in front of his chest.
Wooyoung shrugged nonchalantly, "She might need some help in there. Besides, I know a way or two to help her de-stress," he smirked, pumping his eyebrows suggestively.
The boys collectively booed him. Hands coming forth to pull him away from you. They all threw protests at him, to which he defended himself with equal ferocity.
You couldn't help but watch them. There was a sense of pride and comfort seeing all of you together like this. You all might be unconventional, a little bit crazy and bordering on madness. But you love them all to bits. Every single part of you felt nothing but care and adoration for them.
And now, after what had happened, the crazy shit you went through. You were sure that they love you as well. You were sure that no matter what happened, you all will always have each others' backs no matter what.

“I’m in.” You announced as you entered Sunhee’s bedroom. Today was the day your best friends would join that special program on that spaceship, and after thinking about it deeply throughout the entire night and as Haneul’s words kept ringing in the back of your mind, you finally decided you would join as well. More than seeing it as something bad and annoying, after hearing Haneul’s thoughts about this plan, you started to see it as an opportunity to know more people like you. You have always been surrounded by humans and you, obviously, had no friends with special abilities like you three had. “Are you serious or you’re trying to fool me?” Sunhee said, stopping packing her stuff and raising one of her eyebrows, not really believing you were actually going to that spaceship with her. “I’m being serious! Stop looking at me like that!” You said pushing away your friend so she would stop looking at you with wide eyes. “I’m sorry but I didn’t expect you to accept the offer! Is there someone you know going??” She asked, wiggling her eyebrows and looking at you with a naughty look, obviously thinking there would be a boy you liked and that was the reason why you were joining. “The only one’s I know are you two you dumb ass!” You said laughing and rolling your eyes.
The three of you finally arrived at the space agency responsible for the spaceship and this new program. “How could you convince your parents to not come with you to say goodbye?” Haneul asked when she saw you arriving on your own. “Let’s just say I didn’t need them bothering me with tons of unnecessary information about space right before I got on a spaceship.” You answered as you struggled to manage all your luggage. “Ready?” You said, a smile plastered on your face, a detail Haneul and Sunhee noticed that left them shocked. They didn’t really know what changed you this much for you to see the spaceship program as something positive when a week ago you hated the idea of being locked in the middle of nowhere. Well, you just saw it as a long vacation with your best friends, like those great vacations humans had on American movies.
“Are you part of the group of people joining the spaceship?” A boy in gray hair asked you from behind. “That’s right.” You said as you turned around to face the young boy. The moment your eyes landed on his figure you were shocked. He was definitely handsome and he had perfect and beautiful eyebrows. “Great! I’m Xiaojun, I’ll be one of the commandants of the spaceship. Meeting point is over there, you should head there if you don’t want to miss the introduction.” He said laughing and pointing at the meeting point direction with a folder on his free hand which you supposed had all your names written. The three of you politely bowed at him thanking the information and headed to the meeting point. “Such a pity he’s a human, he’s handsome.” Sunhee whispered so you and Haneul were the only ones hearing her comment. “Shut up!” You said pushing her away and laughing at the sudden comment. “Why?? Am I lying?” She answered laughing as well. “If the boys joining in the program are as handsome as that Xiaojun boy I’m more than happy that I joined.” Haneul joked.
You arrived where Xioajun told you and tiredly dropped your bags. The place was actually pretty much crowded that you ever expected. Were there that many creatures among humans? It only makes you and your friends even more excited about the whole situation. The three of you have always lived apart from other creatures like you and you were low-key looking forward to meeting people like you so you could feel like you belonged somewhere. “Someone got an eye on you.” Sunhee said, knocking you out of your thoughts and pointing at a blue haired boy across the crowded room that was staring at you. As soon as your eyes met his, he quickly looked away avoiding your gaze. “He’s a handsome werewolf.” Haneul added, joining your conversation with Sunhee. “Do you know him? How do you know he’s a werewolf?” You were surprised at your friend’s ability to read people like that. “He has a scar on his left cheek, only werewolves get that kind of scars.” She stated, pointing at the blue haired boy.
“Welcome to our new program.” You heard a deep masculine voice talking through a mic, gaining everyone’s attention and making your heart race. “We’re glad to welcome you all to this new beginning of an era where humans and creatures can coexist without any danger.” The man announced. “Should I feel offended by that?” You whispered laughing, making your friend’s laugh as well. “I’m glad to see some of you are this excited about joining us. What are their names Xiaojun?” The man said pointing out your and your friends’ laughing. All of a sudden the room was filled with muttering from the rest of people talking about you and your friends. Suddenly you felt everyone’s eyes on you and your cheeks started to get redder as seconds went by and as you eyed Xiaojun looking through the documents searching your name and your friend’s names. “Hwaa Sunhee, Shengkai Haneul and Li (Y/N), sir.” Xiaojun announced, letting everyone know your full names. “What kind of creatures are they?” The man added. You felt the familiar burning feeling you always felt when you were about to lose control of your magic. But then you felt Haneul grabbing your hand, trying to calm you down. “It’s not the moment for losing it.” She whispered in your ear as she tightened her embrace on your hand.
“This is ridiculous, Y. O. U are going to help us with our magic when you call us creatures?” You heard a boy from afar laugh at the man standing in the small stage. “I see you have some problems about being here sir Dong Sicheng.” The man said, looking at the boy who spoke. “Is he really that Dong Sicheng?” You could listen to some girls whispering behind you, making you curious about that boy. “We don’t pretend to force you to be part of this, all of you are here because of your life choices. This is not an obligation, this is a need. We need to do this to coexist peacefully.” The man announced proudly, trying to convince all of you about the great idea it was supposed to be being locked in a spaceship with disgusting humans. Your hate towards humans was something natural that came with your basic characteristics. All of you have sometime in your life felt discriminated against by that species and now, hearing the words of that old man, boiled your blood to the point of wanting to end him. But all of you knew you couldn’t do that if you didn’t want to start a nonsense war between humans and supernatural creatures like they liked to call all of you.
“Do we really have to be here?” A boy in front of you asked another boy you guessed was his friend. “Yes, we have to.” The other boy answered. The introduction meeting went by and as time passed you started to move your attention from the stage to the blue haired boy that Sunhee and Haneul talked about before the meeting started. You took a few minutes to admire him. He was definitely handsome. He had a sharp jawline, a breathtaking side profile and a beautiful yellowish tone was gleaming on his greyish eyes. “(Y/N) let’s go.” Sunhee said grabbing your hand and knocking you out of your own world. “Where were you looking at with such admiration?” Haneul asked, obviously noticing a special gleam on your eyes. “Nothing, just admiring the place before leaving.” You said smiling and walking towards the spaceship hand in hand with your best friends. “Time to open the gate to a new beginning.” You announced tightening your embrace on your best friends’ hands and taking a deep breath before stepping into the spaceship.
“It doesn’t look that bad.” Sunhee said once you have arrived at your room. You have been praying to be paired with them for your room and the moment Xiaojun announced your names while setting the roommates, a peace finally invaded your soul. “And people here seem to hate humans as much as we do.” You joked, remembering everyone’s comments back in the meeting. “Yeah, have you seen that boy named Dong Sicheng? I’ve heard he has come by the government's force. He’s supposed to be the only one being here by force.” Sunhee said about the boy everyone was so shocked about a few hours ago. “There were those two boys in front of us that seemed to be here by force too. The one with the brown long hair and the one with brown and white hair.” You said, remembering the little conversation between the two boys you overheard. “Guess this new life is going to be pretty interesting from now on.” Haneul said, landing on her bed tiredly. She was definitely right. None of you could wait any longer for the spaceship’s take off tomorrow and start meeting those boys that caught your attention. Especially the blue haired boy.

First Meeting
ATEEZ 9th Member
Sunhee X ATEEZ
When Sunhee first joined KQ Entertainment, she thought that maybe they would put her into a girl group. Not once in her 16 years of life, did she think of the possibility she would be put into a boy group, and yet here she was at the shoot for KQ Fellaz music video ‘From’.
She nervously shuffled to the make-up artists who were quick to prepare her and help get her sorted to make a music video. Her role was simple. Just act with the boys in their individual shots. She nods and uses the time before the shooting starts to introduce herself to everyone. Luckily they were mainly in one place.
She wanders over to them just as they disperse and she sighs. Instead of a group introduction, it would be solo ones. She assesses them, trying to figure out who would be the best to introduce herself to first. She looks around and spots someone who seemed really happy and excitable so she decided to head there first.
She walks over and he looks up just in time. She gives him a small, shy wave and he grins at her. ‘Hi, I’m San. I’m looking forward to working with you on this.’ She smiles. Perhaps this would be easier than she thought.
‘I’m Sunhee. I’m looking forward to working with you guys too.’
He apologised though as one of the stylists calls him over so he can get ready but she just gestures to say he should go. She looks around trying to find another person.
She saw another person but on further inspection, she found his height and beauty intimidating. She wasn’t sure what he would be like either so she refrained from greeting him. She figured the next person to introduce herself to the leader and her that’s just what she did. Sunhee asked a stylist on who the leader was and they were happy to divulge the information. She then headed in his direction to speak to him. He saw her heading his was and took it upon himself to meet her halfway.
‘Hello, my name is Sunhee, it is nice to meet you.’ She politely greeted.
He grinned. ‘My name is Hongjoong. It’s nice to meet you too. Have you met the others yet?’
She shook her head in response.
‘I met San but other than that, no.’
He frowned slightly before replying.
‘Do you want me to call them all over so you can greet them all?’
She shook her head again, ‘no thanks Hongjoong. I need to gain some confidence and to do so I need to introduce myself to them individually.’
He nods thoughtfully. ‘That’s a really great idea. I have to go to do my solo rap scene so good luck!’ He smiles again before leaving and she sighed, her body deflating before she tried to muster up some courage to speak to the others.
Seonghwa just so happened to be listening in on their conversation and wanted to make it easier on her, so he went to speak to her.
‘Hi, I’m Seonghwa. It’s nice to meet you. I hope that you enjoy filming with us.’
Sunhee jumps slightly, startled before running off her introduction.
‘Hi, I'm Sunhee. It’s nice to meet you too. I promise I will work really hard for all of you!’
He smiles and pets her head, ‘don’t overwork yourself though. I heard you wanted to introduce yourself to everyone, how’s it going so far?.’
‘Well, so far I have spoken to 3 out of 9 people so it has gone okay. I’m just putting off a couple at the moment.’
He frowns at her response. ‘Why are you putting them off?’
‘They look intimidating. I was afraid to speak to you to be fair so you made it a bit easier. I wasn’t afraid of you in a bad way, but you are very handsome and very tall. It’s overwhelming.’
He blushes at her words before replying, ‘thank you, you are very pretty. You don’t have to worry about anyone though, everyone is lovely.’
She flushed at the compliment and nods at his words. ‘Thank you. I best go speak to everyone else before the shoot starts or I know I won’t and I will regret it. Thank you again.’
She smiles and waves before backing away and he reciprocates the gesture. Seonghwa heads to Yeosang to give him a warning. ‘If Sunhee, the girl we are shooting with hasn’t come to speak to you within the next 15 minute try and go to speak to her. She is very nervous and is probably intimidated by you. She was scared of me so just a word of warning.’ Yeosang nods and watches as she slowly shuffles to an unsuspecting Jongho and taps him gently on the shoulder.
Jongho turns around and grins when he sees Sunhee. He heard that she was a 01 liner and that means he isn’t the youngest.
‘Hi, I’m Jongho. I heard you are a 01 liner. I’m a 00 liner. I hope you enjoy it here.’
Sunhee blanches,’You are a 00 liner? That means I’m the youngest, right? Noooo that’s unfair.’
She pouts playfully and Jongho laughs. ‘Have you met any of the others or am I the first person you have talked to.’ Sunhee shook her head to signify that he wasn’t the first person and it was his turn to pout which caused her to chuckle.
Hongjoong looks over at the maknae’s and smiled at the progress Sunhee had made and she didn’t even realise it. He watched as she slowly bid goodbye to Jongho and made her way over to Mingi who was just practising his rap section as he wanted it to be perfect but he quickly halted and waved at Sunhee as she toddled over to him.
They made introductions light and quick and Wooyoung wasn’t talking to anyone so she went to speak to him. Once again they made quick work of the introductions. Yeosang had noticed that she hadn’t come over to him and took Seonghwa’s advice and went to her. She spun around when he had tapped her shoulder and she glanced up before glancing back down quickly as he looked at her intensely.
‘Hi, I’m Yeosang. I notice that you had spoken to pretty much everyone else and wanted to say hello for myself. Please don’t worry about speaking to any of us. If you have any issues feel free to raise them and we can all sort it as we are a team.’
She smiles and nods, internally scolding herself for being scared of him when he had done nothing to warrant it.
Sunhee saw another member that seemed really happy and headed over to him. He reminded her of a puppy with his hyperactivity. Yunho was spinning around checking each of the people who were in the video when he saw her. He bound up to her, meeting her halfway.
‘HI, I’m Yunho It’s very nice to be working with you. I am so excited to be doing this and I just have a feeling you will do great.’
She beamed up at him at his words, ‘Hi Yunho, I’m Sunhee and it is nice working with you too!’
He turned around after they chatted a bit longer and as she was about to introduce herself to the last person but it was time to shoot the video so she couldn’t.
When the shooting was done, the KQ FELLAZ manager gathered them all and took Sunhee in for this discussion as well and he decided that he would switch Sunhee for Junyoung for the final lineup.
She looked surprised but the manager was quick to explain that although she wasn’t in the original line-up, her constant work within the company and also reaching out and composing for other groups is what made her a fitting choice and Hongjoong had heard about her and asked the manager himself if she could be on the team. She felt bad that Junyoung couldn’t debut with his friends and left so that they could all say goodbye, but today marked a day in their history. The day when she became the 9th member of ATEEZ.

box - part 1 [stray kids]
♛➩ this is a reader-decision au, meaning the decisions of the majority of the readers will decide how the story flows - from beginning to end, every single decision made by you all will count. it is heavily inspired by the promised neverland.
♛➩ genre: horror, thriller, mystery
♛➩ pairing: ???
♛➩ warnings: death, gore, violence
♛➩ summary: everyone came to the orphanage at a young age. most everyone was taken into a foster home by the age of seventeen, though there was the occasional straggler who didn’t get the chance to find a family; by their eighteenth birthday, they would be sent away. no one knew what happened to them, or the children who got adopted, as neither party would write back home to the only family they ever had. everything begins to unravel, leaving those in the orphanage wondering one thing - were they ever safe?
♛➩ word count: 2.9k { will get longer, this is simply the first, most basic introduction post }

“What is this?”
“It’s the gate that connects us to the outside world, according to-”
“Didn’t he say it wasn’t safe? Are we being... protected, from something?”
“I dunno, I think he’s just making sure that we don’t try to leave before we get adopted.”
“That’s obviously not the case, you buffoon.”
Felix puffed out his freckled, melanin cheeks, vehemently turning on his heels to face the brunette with the quirked eyebrow, his skinny fingers gripping onto the spine of a leather, worn-down book. “Hey, Eric could be right, you know! Just because you aren’t sure doesn’t mean we’re wrong.”
“I’m more than aware of the faint possibility that I’m wrong - but by reasoning, I can also be correct, as I usually am.” His deadbeat comrade murmured in response, pushing himself off the trunk of the spruce tree, subsequently adding an extra inch to his otherwise shorter height. “I am the smartest one here, after all-”
“Actually, Seungmin, Jisung is the smartest of us all... somehow.” Eric reminded him quickly, the redhead wagging a finger to argue his point. Felix nodded hastily, taking a step away from the otherwise forbidden gate to throw an arm around the shoulders of his best friend.
Sure, the other kids were definitely the closest thing to family that Felix would ever get in the orphanage, but Eric and Seungmin were his two closest friends. The youngest of the trio matched his own bright, bubbly personality almost too perfectly, especially since the younger of them was incredibly outgoing and always had something to say. He wasn’t as academically bright compared to the easygoing Felix or the studious Seungmin, but there was an air of comfort and home that surrounded him. Perhaps that was why Felix felt so at ease with Eric.
A soft sigh bubbled past Seungmin’s lips. “I will never understand how Jisung can ace those exams without even batting an eyelid. No matter what I do, he’s always at the top - leaving me with second place.” He continued, though there wasn’t a single hint of bitterness in his tone, the boy pushing the bridge of his glasses farther up his nose as he spoke.
To call Seungmin dedicated was one thing, but to ever see him as anything akin to a selfish boy who only worried most about his studies? No one at the orphanage could think so lowly of the boy, who many considered their most reliable brother. To be frank, he was the one who supported everyone else’s achievements more often than anyone else, besides the professor.
“In any case, you two and Jeongin are always at the top when it comes to grades,” Felix sympathized with the grumpy brunette, reaching an arm over to playfully ruffle his normally messy hair. The freckled boy glanced over at the looming gate once more, wistfully wondering just what could be lurking on the other side. With a quick shake of his head, though, his pink lips curled into a bright smile. “Come on, the professor will be wondering where we’ve wandered off to.”
And with that, the trio turned their backs to the only possible point of contact to the outside world - not that they wanted or needed to go. They were perfectly happy at the orphanage, just as they always had been.
————————————————————————
“Just where have you three hooligans been? Dinner started ten minutes ago.” The professor questioned the three boys sternly, though his voice was hardly as gruff as it was warm and caring.
Eric spoke up first, as he always did. “Sorry, prof - we got caught up on the walk back. Minnie thought he lost his book and we had to look for it in all the bushes and grass.” The simple, harmless lie slipped past his lips like smooth honey. He had a knack for such meaningless lies, using them to get himself, as well as Felix and Seungmin, out of quite a few sticky situations where they could get in a world of trouble.
Hard brown eyes narrowed into a suspicious stare, their elder guardian parted his lips in preparation to call out Eric for his lie; he was the only one who could ever spot such a false set of words so easily. None of their other guardians compared to the professor’s sharp intuition. “Eric, you kn-”
“Guys, you’re back - oh, sorry, professor!” Lua breathed out in a rush as she poked her head around the corner of the dining hall, sending the trio of boys a slight wave. “Dinner will start to get cold soon, you three need to come and eat it soon, oh, and Somi is about to pounce on your plate, Seungmin. You got the extra slice of cake tonight, but she says if you don’t claim it in the next minute she’s gonna eat it.”
Seungmin’s eyes widen behind the glass of his spectacles in disbelief and horror. Not even bothering to say goodbye to the professor, he makes a mad dash for the dining hall, book tucked under his arm while he goes to save his food. Both Eric and Felix made eye contact with their less than amused elder, hurriedly bowing out of respect before they mimicked Seungmin’s actions and their feet began to pound against the wood floor.
Just as they make the sharp turn to enter the bustling dining hall, Felix slows down behind his eager friend. A wave of respect floods his senses as his eyes drift over the shining, polished silver plaque hanging by the entryway.
Kim Woojin - Professor of Ethics, Honorary Guardian to Mercy Garden’s Orphanage.
Professor Woojin wasn’t all that much older than Felix and the older boys who had yet to turn eighteen, truthfully. He was far younger than their previous guardian, Minseok, who ended up retiring early for whatever reason. Lua and Sunwoo had some sort of conspiracy going on in those rather... interesting minds of theirs, something about how they believed Professor Woojin was taking a youth supplement and he happened to get the job since he had a natural parental instinct.
… Felix honestly wasn’t too sure if he could ever believe that theory. He, like a majority of the sane children in the orphanage, simply assumed that the older man was just that good when it came to taking care of everyone, which - he was. Whenever the younger kids, such as Zen or Sunhee, got scrapes on their knees from a serious game of tag, the brunette haired man would kindly scoop them up in his burly arms and hum a fine tune under his breath before he cleaned the wound and bandaged them up, usually offering them a cookie afterwards.
Truth be told, Felix looked up to Professor Woojin. He would help him study for their exams, encouraging the ginger with bursts of kind words and sweet treats. Mind you Felix wasn’t one of the top three in the orphanage, but he wasn’t below average - in fact, due to the professor’s assistance, he was slowly but surely climbing the ladder to getting almost perfect scores on the exams.
“Lix, come on! I’ll eat all your food if you don’t hurry up and get in here!”
Nodding to himself, the boy shifted his admiring gaze away from the plaque and towards the dining all, quickly sauntering inside with a loud exclamation of, “Eric, don’t you dare!”
————————————————————————
“Fuck, I totally flunked that exam.” Eric groaned aloud, much to the displeasure of Seungmin, who promptly flicked an eraser at the younger’s head. With a hiss, Eric rubbed the now minuscule red spot on his cheek, sending the boy with glasses a tentative glare of annoyance and mock offense. “What? I have every right to be pissed - what if... what if my new family sees this bad grade and all the other ones... what if they think I’m too stupid to adopt?”
Everyone exchanged looks of pity over Eric’s fears, knowing very well that he usually refused to expose his own worries. If he ever actually spoke of something that happened to bother him, that meant it was serious.
“They won’t think like that, Eric,” Jeongin assured the older, flushed boy with a genuine smile, his braces sending a flash of light over the shadow on the wall of the makeshift classroom, “Professor Woojin made sure that they know literally everything about you; from your loud personality to your... lackluster grades.”
“Wow, that makes me feel so much better, Innie.”
Jeongin rolled his eyes in amusement, knowing that Eric didn’t mean his harsh, mildly patronizing words. “What I mean to say is that the family who filed to adopt you want you to be one of them because you’re you and no one else. I’m willing to bet that they’re an outgoing, adventurous kind of family with a couple of children who deserve to have a sweet big brother like yourself.” His hair bounced as he enunciated each and every word to make Eric feel better, the tiny apple-bob on the top of his black hair only helping his cause.
Felix, of course, agreed with what Jeongin had said, though he didn’t elaborate on them much past that. Just the night before, in the boys’ bedroom, he’d practically preached to his best friend, no, his other half about how much he cherished him and how much he would adore his new family. Was he sad that the person he considered his brother was leaving without him? Well... who wouldn’t be.
But Felix didn’t have the heart to express his internal grief, knowing too well that the adopted boy wouldn’t hesitate to cancel the damn adoption process himself just so he could stay by his side until they both finally turned eighteen. No, he couldn’t allow Eric to throw away such a fantastic opportunity - besides, they had promised each other in the dead of night that they would find each other one day. When Felix finally grew of age to leave the orphanage, if he wasn’t fostered or adopted by then, anyway, he would scour the ends of the earth to find Eric again.
Nothing could separate them: not a foster home, an adoption, not even death itself. They were family, and family always stuck together.
“Everyone, say goodbye to Eric!” Professor Woojin hummed to the crowd of thirty-eight kids, both young and old alike, one of his giant hands resting gently on a flushed Eric’s shoulder. The personal grief in his own eyes was evident enough to those who met his sad yet proud gaze - Eric was the sixth child to find a home outside of Mercy Garden’s Orphanage under his supervision, so technically it was another good point for him under the eyes of his elders. But... Eric was family, and everyone was upset to see him go.
“Hey, don’t be a jerk and forget to write to us!” Lua whined, breaking the choking silence with a hint of a voice crack.
“Come back and visit us on Halloween - it’s tradition that we egg the office!” Felix followed her lead, offering his best friend the happiest of smiles he could possibly muster in the moment.
“Hold on, Felix - you do what to my office now-?”
“Don’t forget us! We’re family after all!” A handful of the younger kids sniffled and cried out, having to be held back by the older residents as they desperately tried to reach out and latch onto a sniffling Eric’s legs.
Crouching down low to the ground, Eric set aside his bag and opened his arms wide, embracing the tiny pack of crying children when they finally broke free and ran towards him. Tears streamed down his own red cheeks, showcasing how he truly felt in a rare display of anything other than joy or happiness.
“How could I ever forget about you guys? Y-you’re my real family, all of you.”
————————————————————————
About fifteen minutes had passed since the professor and Eric had left for the gate at the edge of the forest, where the former would be picked up and taken away from the orphanage - to his new home, with a real family. Felix knew he had no right to feel so goddamn bitter about the entire situation, and he tried to calm himself down by sweeping downstairs in a futile attempt to further distract himself, but the deadly tight grip on the wooden broomstick showed just how upset he was.
Across the room, Jisung was dusting the shelves of a stray bookcase, sniffing and sneezing every couple of seconds due to the dust that fell from the top shelf and blew past his sensitive nose. “F-Felix - achoo! Shit, I thi-think that, oh god another one, achoo! I think Eric left h-his bag here.” The blonde called over to the other boy in the room, wiping his nose with one of his sleeves.
Looking over with furrowed eyebrows, Felix’s eyes immediately landed on the pastel pink bag Eric had packed the day beforehand. A wave of concern washed over his body as he wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead and walked over to a sneezing Jisung, bending down to pick up the bag. “Fuck, Eric needs this bag, Ji,” he murmured with a sigh, glancing over to the other boy, “what do we do? I mean, we could wait for Professor Woojin to come back, but Eric will be gone by then...” He trailed off.
“It usually takes the prof at least two hours to get home after he takes someone to the gate. We could probably catch them before Eric heads off,” Jisung said thoughtfully, acting as if it had already been decided what course of action they would take, his fingers tossing the duster aside while he straightened his back to look down at Felix. “Think about it, Lix - if we wait for the prof to get back, he’ll just have to use up his own free time to walk all the way out to the gate again tomorrow so someone can take the bag to Eric.”
With a deep, resonating sigh, Felix nodded in agreement and slung the pink bag over his shoulders, adjusting the straps to fit him better. Taking his silent nod as a sign of agreement, Jisung smirked and began to make way to the front door with his freckled comrade trailing behind him.
Just as they were about to open the door, another voice quietly rang throughout the otherwise silent house. “Woo - Professor Woojin doesn’t like it when any of us go outside so late at night. You should just wait for him to come back.”
Both boys turned on the heels of their feet, surprised to find a stoic Seungmin staring at them from the top of the staircase. His striped pajamas nearly blended in with the cream colored walls, the only hint of light hitting his frowning face coming from a candle he’d placed on a small disc.
“He’ll appreciate us doing this one small favor for him, Minnie,” Jisung insisted, “don’t worry too much. If anything, we can at least hide or something if you really think he’ll be mad at us. Just... leave the bag there, no one will know who out of all of us went out to deliver it.”
His words seemed to just barely win Seungmin over, the younger of the trio not uttering another word before he went back upstairs, the light of his candle growing smaller and smaller. Feeling smug with himself, Jisung let out a proud noise and opened the front door, leading Felix outside with him.
Together, the pair silently wandered through the forest, following the rocky path that led to the gate. Neither of them were scared, so to speak, but the two of them seemed to have a lot on their minds. Jisung’s eyes kept snapped around the lurking shadows, as if he was looking for something - or someone. Meanwhile, Felix was pondering if he could at least say something else to Eric if he hadn’t left already. But, what would he say that he already hadn’t?
Once they finally reached the lone gate at the edge of the dark forest, they met each other’s gazes before nodding, decisively sliding the ancient steel bars open and closing them behind their figures. They continued, a bit more slowly now, to creep closer and closer to what appeared to be a garage of sorts. A cement wall broke off to let the strange building stand, with either side letting the wall continue its barrier for miles, likely around the private property of the orphanage.
“C’mon, I see some light coming out of that door.” Jisung muttered quietly under his breath, gesturing for Felix to follow his lead. The older of the two crept towards the doorway, which had been left cracked. Slowly, the blonde pushed it open far enough for them to enter the building.
There was a single red truck parked inside, the engine dead. The pair exchanged a hopeful look, hoping that Eric hadn’t left yet and this was his ticket off of the property. Grasping onto the bag with a faint smile, Felix wandered over to the truck, tilting his head in confusion when he saw that the bed of the vehicle was draped with a thin, gray blanket. Just as his fingertips brushed against the rough material, ready to pull it up enough so he could take an invasive peek inside the bed of the truck, Jisung stopped him.
“Woah... Lix, what the fuck is in this tube?”
————————————————————————
Where does Felix look first?
A: the bed of the truck
or
B: the tube that Jisung wanted him to see

Ambivalence - uno
Jaehyun sat on his desk, leaning back in the chair with his uniform fixed perfectly around his tall, muscular frame, and heaved a sigh. Today was one of those days.
He was a good student, of course. It just seemed like everything was too boring and typical for him. Even his classmates bored him, despite the rowdy nature of his class. Time passed him in a blur. He was detached.
He slammed his head against the desk, suddenly deciding to make a gravity check on his head. It was painful. Really, really painful. It was a bad idea. A very bad idea. Sleeping sounded good when his head was pounding until he was interrupted.
'You know, one day you will have no neurons because you keep doing that.' He scoffed at the female voice. Of course.
"You know, one day I might just tell Johnny to sit in your place and you would be forced to sit with your crush. What was his name again? T..." He was shut by Hyunjung's hands.
"You're such a good friend. Not." She sat down, wearing her headphones and ignoring the male. Great. There goes his amusement.
Jaehyun tried to nap again, knowing Hyunjung would wake him up (probably with a kick) when class began. But of course, his nap was interrupted when Doyoung appeared right in front of his desk, slamming his hands on it.
Jaehyun looked up tiredly. "What's up, Do?" He spoke, dragging the syllables in a sleepy manner.
'There are new students transferring to our class! I heard they're foreigners!" The seatmates looked up, both incredibly uninterested, and then looked down again.
'And you woke me up from my nap for this? Look, it's probably just some girls who will be head over heels for Taeyong as soon as they step into the classroom. Hell, maybe even a guy who falls for Taeyong. It wouldn't be the first time.' Jaehyun hinted with a knowing smile, proceeding to return to his nap. Or trying to.
'Wake up Jae, the teacher is here.' Hyunjung spoke next to him. They followed the usual routine of every day to show respect to the teacher and sat back down once again. Just go through the motions.
'Today I would like to introduce your new classmates,' the homeroom teacher began, voice muffled against the background of uninterested students. The teacher sighed in frustration. She did not get paid enough for this crap. 'Fine, just, introduce yourself or something and take a sit.'
Jaehyun doesn't remember their names, truthfully. They were foreigners, but really, what's so surprising about that? Considering they were at an international high school, the real surprise was when people were not foreigners.
One of the new students mumbled some kind of introduction, and Jaehyun guessed it had been some kind of joke, considering Doyoung was laughing away two seats to the left. The student, however, seemed mortified, hands anxiously rubbing against each other.
Jaehyun snorted, amused. What a way to introduce herself. Fine, she was amusing. Good enough. But she would soon get as boring as any other girl. Except for Hyunjung. Though he seldom counted her as a girl, more of a "bro" than anything.
'I found this opportunity perfect to change the seating arrangement!' Ms. Jung spoke, causing the students to groan, 'Don't worry, don't worry! It'll be a good change!' She smiled, like doing so would change the fact that the students hated the change, and began listing the pairings.
Meanwhile, the new girl stood awkwardly in front of the classroom, tentatively moving to the side when everyone stood up, it seemed, Jaehyun noted, that she was trying her absolute hardest to be as little a nuisance as possible. The other transfer--a guy--had quickly associated himself with Johnny (but then again, Johnny was friends with ninety percent of the school, so it was no surprise.), but the new student seemed mortified to deal with this whole experience.
While changing places, the new girl accidentally tripped and almost fell on Hyunjung's petite form, but the shorter girl picked her up before she embarrassed herself. Jaehyun stared at Hyunjung's unamused face as she turned around, almost laughing at the younger.
'Thank you.' She looked down, embarrassed to meet the glance of the girl she had bumped into.
'Hey, no problem.' Hyunjung offered her a comforting smile and walked off, fist-bumping Johnny as she began talking about her progress on some video game they had all been playing. ("She's really a dude-bro," Jaehyun thought.)
Jaehyun walked to his new seat, looking towards the window and wondering how long it was until he could get out and lock himself in his room to work on his book. He was definitely thankful, as he was not seated next to the new kids. That gave him an excuse to avoid them even more.
Classes started and ended, until the bell for lunch break rang, signaling the anxious students that they were temporarily free from the penitentiary that was Calculus.
Jaehyun stood up lazily, not as interested in freeing himself as his classmates were. Doyoung made his way towards his best friend, noticing Hyunjung in comfortable conversation with the new girl.
'(y/n) right?' Doyoung looked at her, extending his hand, 'I'm Doyoung, would you like to join us for lunch break?'
Hyunjung scoffed, mumbling something about "inviting her first" and "always stealing my new friends."
(y/n) took Doyoung's hand, nodding as she shook it. Doyoung pulled her up, mentally wondering what hand cream she uses because wow, soft hands much?. "Tae, you coming?"
Taeyong shook his head, preparing for a nap. The boys and Hyunjung shrugged.
'Guess you're stuck with us.'
~
The four of them sat down, trays in hand, in one of the outside tables. Jaehyun played with his food, bored once again, while he stared forward, looking at the female two years his senior, who attended the joint University of the school.
Sunhee. His first love. Unreachable. They were all synonyms in his mind.
Childhood friends, soulmates, then lovers. That's how the story goes, right? Best friends discover they're soulmates, fall in love and are happy together. Then why did Sunhee never look at him as more than a little brother?
Frustration was his home, and no matter how much he tried to write love songs, they all came out stingy with pain. He was stuck in ballads of unrequited love. So he left the guitar alone and focused on something that allowed him to ignore those feelings. His book.
He stabbed the chopsticks on the rice, aggressively mixing it. It was one of those "international food" days in the academy, which basically meant the students got to tinker around with utensils they didn't use on a regular basis. Doyoung, Hyunjung and (y/n), who had clicked immediately, stopped their animated conversation to stare at him.
'Uh... The rice was too hard.' He explained in a low voice, shoving a spoonful of it in his mouth, almost choking. He coughed, holding his hand up, and drank a big swig of his water. His face was red with embarrassment when he noticed Sunhee's worried stare, along with his classmates' silent amusement.
'It's so good. I might cry.' He wiped forced tears from his eyes, swallowing the mass of... Whatever he was eating at that point.
'Alright...' Doyoung glanced at Jaehyung, muttering something about befriending only weirdos and the fatal fall of his status. 'So (y/n), you like the school so far?'
'Uh, well, from what I've seen I guess it's cool, yeah... I didn't get much of a chance to explore either way.' The girl answered, still confused about Jaehyun's strange behavior. The taller boy took this as an opportunity to run away from the embarrassment and forced (y/n) to stand, almost knocking off Hyunjung's plate from the table.
'I can tour you!' He spoke abruptly, 'Let's not waste time, okay?' Jaehyun dragged her away towards the library, as (y/n) desperately tried to free herself from his grip. When they were far enough from the tables, he sighed, letting go of (y/n)'s wrist. The girl glared at him, rubbing her reddening wrist.
'Look, just this one time okay I'm sorry, but hey look this place is kinda cool, you can tell Hyunjung to set you up with someone and tour you-' Jaehyun was interrupted by (y/n)'s sharp voice.
'Stop fussing. I can tour myself, just next time try not to get me involved in your personal problems? Good?' (y/n) said, annoyed, as she continued to rub her wrist. Yeah, she could make her way to the classroom alone. Or tried. She could try. It couldn't be that far, right?
Doyoung and Hyunjung sat at the table, staring at Jaehyun's unfinished plate.
"More for us, I guess?"
The bell rang and the classroom filled up with students. None of them were Jaehyung or (y/n), and Hyunjung smirked.
"Damn, they got fast moves don't they?" Someone laughed beside her, and she sighed internally, remembering who her seatmate was. Jaehyun had jinxed her, but he had jinxed himself too. Payback was always her favorite thing... When it happened to someone else.
~
Somewhere around the school gardens, Jaehyun tried to find (y/n), guilt eating away at his stomach. Who knew the school was so big? Plus, why would they need so many gardens if the students spent most of their time inside the classrooms?
He spotted the recently transferred girl, walking towards her and noticing she was wiping her hands on her skirt, a huge smile on her face.
"I saw a puppy."
Jaehyun shook his head.
All he could see was the detention they would get for skipping class.

SWEE-T
nation's girl group, Swee-T! Well, nowadays... not so much. Oh, they still have a huge fandom, despite having as many lineup changes as hits (A Lot), but said fandom can't let go of their cutie image from their debut over a decade ago no matter how many new concepts they try…
Members: Soojin, Eve (leader), Mindeulle, Yesarang, Sunhee, Juliette (maknae)
Fandom name: Ices
Stage Name: Soojin Birth Name: Han Soo Jin Position: Rapper Birthday: 1989 Zodiac: Libra Height: 165cm Weight: kg Blood Type: O Favourite Colour: Purple Favourite Food: Roast sweet potato Least Favourite Food: Chewing gum Hobbies: Taking selfies, listening to music, shopping
Facts: - One of the three remaining original members along with Eve and Yesarang. - Even though she doesn’t get many lines, she says she doesn’t mind because she gets a lot of screentime and that’s more important. - Started a youtube channel where she uploads skincare and makeup tips, though it’s mostly popular for the guest appearances of other idols. - Originally the most popular member, but she lost a lot of fans after she got into a dating scandal with LVLMAX’s Duyeon. She’s still mad about it because 1) they never dated 2) she thinks Duyeon is ugly and 3) if she was going to date someone from LVLMAX, it would be Jintaek, anyway. - Ideal type at debut: Someone tall and handsome with a pretty smile. Ideal type now: The same.
BEHIND THE SCENES DATA: - Updates her face every comeback, but her fans will rip you to shreds for mentioning it. - Really wants to be “the sexy one” but has virtually no charisma whatsoever. - Over the whole idol thing in general but has no ambition to do anything else, so she just puts in the minimum possible effort, and because she’s one of the original members, she gets away with it. - Spends most of her time taking selfies and spends the rest of her spamming the group chat with very mundane conversation topics which the members barely reply to. Really is quite a boring person.
Stage Name: Eve Birth Name: Min Cho Rong Position: Leader, Visual Birthday: 1989 Zodiac: Scorpio Height: 170cm Weight: kg Blood Type: AB Favourite Colour: Mint green, pastel pink Favourite Food: Peach sorbet Least Favourite Food: Milk coffee Hobbies: Being beautiful
Facts: - Princess disease, vanity, overconfidence, conceit… whatever you want to call it, she’s very confident in her beauty, and so charismatic that she’s impossible to deny. - Nation’s first love, largely considered the prettiest idol ever, and if you don’t believe it, she’ll tell you. - Genius-level IQ, which she mentioned off-hand during a comedy talk show so everyone assumed she was joking, but she later revealed on Swee-T’s fancafe her perfect marks on her college exams, and later, actual IQ test results. Went back to the comedy talk show to prove herself, but ended up talking about the struggles of being so beautiful again, so the public still thinks it’s a joke. - Impenetrable wall of confidence, knows she gets a lot of hate comments but doesn’t care because she gets way more love from her fans and the general public. - Aspiring actress, though she’s only had guest and supporting roles so far. - Wonderful cook, likes making desserts most of all. - Ideal type at debut: someone wealthy, good-looking, tall, smart, and worshipful. Ideal type now: the same, but ideally they also have a holiday house overseas and know the stock market well.
BEHIND THE SCENES DATA: - Unlike CiCi, who kind of adopted the “princess disease” concept as a defence mechanism, Eve lives it. As in, yes, that is her real personality, and no, she doesn’t care if you don’t like it. - She really is a genius, she’s just vain foremost. - Only child of poor parents. Her paternal family used to be quite wealthy but fell into poverty after the war, so her father insisted on raising her to be an ideal wife so she would get married to someone rich and restore his family’s name. Her mother was aware of this, and didn’t mind until he started telling his coworkers, all in their 40s and 50s, about his beautiful teenage daughter who would be old enough to get married soon, and she started pushing for Eve to find work away from home. Eve was discovered while training to become a hairdresser, and when she told her parents that she had been cast in a girl group, her father immediately told her to quit because only whores become singers, and that was the final straw for her mother, who left him and came to support Eve in the city and taught her to be more confident so she’d never be a downtrodden woman like she was. - Very, very wealthy because she invests most of her earnings (her reasoning is that she already bought houses for her and her mother, and “I get paid to wear beautiful things, why would I pay for them?”), not to mention the fact she had her contract lawyer of a best friend go over her contract and tweak a few things to make it much more fair than most standard idol contracts.
Stage Name: Mindeulle Birth Name: Lee Min Ji Position: Rapper, Vocalist, Dancer Birthday: 1991 Zodiac: Aquarius Height: 167cm Weight: kg Blood Type: O Favourite Colour: Cobalt blue Favourite Food: Jjajangmyeon Least Favourite Food: Grapefruit Hobbies: Writing music, cycling, travelling
Facts: - Joined the group with Juliette after three of the original members left. - Originally had a soft and pretty “cute little girl” image, but she cut her hair short for a comeback a few years ago, and has stuck with the “bifauxnen” look ever since. Her fanboys hate it. - Although she mostly raps in Swee-T songs, she has a sweet and mellow singing voice, and originally auditioned to be a vocalist. - Often can be seen cycling around the city and has participated in a few charity races, although she’s never won first place. - Ideal type: Someone with a lot of natural cuteness.
BEHIND THE SCENES DATA: - Super duper gay. The only thing stopping her talking about it is that she’s simply not one of the members who gets invited to talk shows and she’s too much of an outdoorsy type to really get on social media unless she’s been specifically directed to in order to promote a new single or something like that. - Of the members, probably the least popular with the public, no doubt because of her masculine image. - Despite this, she has a strong contingent of superfans who are always rallying for her to get more singing parts. - Has a really tight relationship with Juliette, who she joined the group alongside and who is also very into girls. However, their tastes are very different (Juliette likes strong girls who can care for her, Mindeulle likes… well, Mindeulle likes all kinds of girls, but especially gentle and cute ones who don’t have so much the idol look) so they don’t actually talk about girls together very much. Probably just as well, because neither of them have actually realised they’re each other’s ideal types...
Stage Name: Yesarang Birth Name: Lim Ye Sarang Position: Power Vocal Birthday: 1993 Zodiac: Pisces Height: 166cm Weight: kg Blood Type: A Favourite Colour: Black Favourite Food: Sashimi Least Favourite Food: Banana milk Hobbies: Playing piano, hairstyling
Facts: - Was the maknae of the group at debut, but now Juliette is the maknae, she takes her role as unnie very seriously and treats her very well. - Has always had sharp features even as a young teenager. She’s not angry, that’s just her face! - A perfectionist. - Has been trying to write new songs for Swee-T, but she always gets stuck on the lyrics, as she’s not a very poetic person and all of her lyrics end up sounding stiff. She and Mindeulle collaborated for a special stage during a Japanese tour, but so far, that’s the only self-written track the fans have heard. - Ideal type at debut: none. Ideal type now: still none, too busy to think about romance.
BEHIND THE SCENES DATA: - Real leader of Swee-T, as Eve is generally uninterested in any leaderly activities other than leading group introductions or accepting awards, while Yesarang is very involved in all of the behind-the-scenes. - Really only cares about Swee-T and tries her absolute hardest to make sure the group is a success. - Still very bitter about the other members (1 before they got popular, 2 after their popularity started to wane… thus accelerating said wane) leaving, and has made some really quite petty comments about the latter two’s departures and how she felt like they used the group to get themselves famous then abandoned her-- the group-- once they felt they were famous enough. - Due to her strong loyalty to the group, she’s kind of bought into their own hype and thinks anything Swee-T deserves all the praise in the world, and whenever their singles flop (well, they always sell, some just not as much as she might be used to), it’s obvious, to her, that they’ve been set up/ripped off/there’s someone actively working against them. - Very standoffish towards rookies, especially ones with more creative control than Swee-T have. - Very standoffish in general, really, and doesn’t trust new people easily because she’s been burned too many times by people who she thought were her friends.
Stage Name: Sunhee Birth Name: Kim Sun Hee Position: Romantic Vocal Birthday: 1993 Zodiac: Taurus Height: 164cm Weight: kg Blood Type: O Favourite Colour: Pink Favourite Food: Chocolate (white, milk, or a little dark, but not too bitter) Least Favourite Food: Asparagus Hobbies: Watching dramas, writing love songs
Facts: - The newest member, added recently. - Her voice was specifically chosen to contrast with Yesarang’s and Juliette’s. - Hopeless romantic, every day is Valentine’s Day for her. - She’s still very new to being an idol and performing on stage, but she’s trying her best, so she wishes that everyone can support her in Swee-T and that they can make love-love memories together! - Ideal type: a tall fairytale prince, with wavy hair and a pretty smile.
BEHIND THE SCENES DATA: - The story about her being chosen for her voice is only a half-truth. Her voice is good, but the company saw how naturally flirtatious (and busty) she is and decided she’d be a good addition to Swee-T’s stages. - So focused on her new dream job with a group she’s been a fan of for years that she hasn’t quite realised that she’s being used for sex appeal. - Would she mind once she realised? Probably not, but she wouldn’t be trying so hard to impress everyone with her hard work if she knew that all that was really required of her was to show up to record vocals and wear tight tops when in public. - Her bias when she was a fan was Yesarang, and she’s still a little starstruck despite the fact they’ve been working, sleeping and eating together for a while now. - The fandom LOATHES her for “replacing” the original main vocalist (even though really, Yesarang took that role), often posting hate that she only got in because of her boobs (not entirely wrong), that her boobs aren’t even that big (also not entirely wrong), that she must have slept her way to the top (if she did, she should have kept going, because she’s nowhere near “the top”), that she’s not even talented or pretty (obviously false, but butthurt fans are butthurt fans) etc. - The general public, however, have no interest in her whatsoever, as she blends right into the original member-line the way Mindeulle and Juliette certainly do not, and thus don’t realise she’s new.
Stage Name: Juliette Birth Name: Sang Juliette Position: Vocalist, Dancer Birthday: 1996 Zodiac: Scorpio Height: 172cm Weight: kg Blood Type: A Favourite Colour: Pink Favourite Food: Strawberries Least Favourite Food: Bitter food Hobbies: Customising clothes, makeup, swimming
Facts: - Joined the group with Mindeulle after 3 of the original members left. - She’s fully Korean, her parents just named her after the Shakespeare character because they thought it’s a pretty name. She is very aware of how that story ends, and has heard every joke there is. - Her lips are real, though people doubt it no matter how many predebut photos she shares. - Debuted at only 15 years old and used to be quite small and a little chubby-cheeked, but had a huge growth spurt and lost weight while the group was on hiatus for a few months and quickly became a trending topic when Swee-T came back, as people couldn’t believe how much her looks changed and how long her legs now were in the tiny shorts the group wore for their comeback promotions. - Among all the members, she’s the one who takes the longest getting ready, as she won’t go anywhere unless she’s done her hair and makeup and has a cute outfit on, not even just to practice. - Ideal type: someone strong and cool who can look after her but is also cute and funny.
BEHIND THE SCENES DATA: - ADHD as hell, and quickly becomes overwhelmed by schedules and criticism. She has a bit of a reputation for being difficult to work with because of this, but she really does try extra hard to keep up with everyone. - A bit shy and introverted around people she doesn’t know, which, especially alongside the very focused Yesarang and the vain Soojin and Eve, can come off as similarly elitist and snobbish. However, she’s actually very nice, if a little innocent. - Not innocent as in unaware of her own sex appeal, though. She’s very aware of her own sex appeal, and while she’s repulsed by the more ribald comments she receives, she does like the attention a lot. - Constantly going back and forth between flirty and reclusive, constantly begging for attention and then not knowing what to do with it. - Not only did she become a trending topic, but she also became a bit of a meme, with people photoshopping her legs to look even longer, or to look shorter, or as elements in other memes, with the tagline “amongst trees, the redwood, amongst girl group’s legs, Juliette Sang” - Although her old social media has been wiped to the best of the company’s ability, it has already leaked that she used to date girls pretty much exclusively and was in a relationship with an older girl who was fairly well-known in goth circles at the time of her debut. The company quickly denied it, and Juliette was scolded heavily for it and was told to break it off immediately, but they still continued to date until eventually Juliette’s schedules caused them to break up naturally.

HWANG SUNHEE ( READ MORE HERE )
AGE 16 ( 06 JULY 2003 )
TRAINED FOR 3 MONTHS ( SIGNED JANUARY 2020 )
INTRODUCTION VIDEO FOUND … PRESS PLAY ?
sunhee had strongly considered showcasing something mainstream for her introduction as an trainee. her dancing had improved tenfold, her rapping was…passable, at least. but, on the late nights after all her formal training was over, she always found herself back on the acoustic drum set in the basement of the dorm, trying out new rhythms and patterns, new ways of speaking without words.
so now, her heart slamming into her chest, as she stares at the reflective drums before her, and the camera just a few feet away recording her every move, she begs herself not to regret this. a shaky exhale rings harmonious with her thoughts.
if you’re going to be different, you have to be good different.
suddenly, the music starts - a song from a girl group only a handful of people have heard of, but the freestyle rhythm flowed so naturally, it was like the song had chosen her rather than the other way around. she drums harder than normal, the vibrations from her drumsticks hitting the snare and tom simultaneously shocking their way up her arms ‘til her teeth are rattling. about forty seconds passes, finishing with a trill on the ride cymbal just before the rap portion.
shoulders relax; tight chest relieved. she lets her gaze drift up to the camera with an eye-smile she’d practiced - no, perfected - a hundred times the week before, turning the bubbly side of herself up to eleven.
“g’day everyone!” she chirps in her accented english, a small laugh following, before switching to korean. “i’m legacy entertainment’s metal sound,” she crosses her arms, only her index finger and pinky upright on both hands, “and 3-months trainee from the land down under, hwang sunhee! people will say I’m just cute but I can rock harder than the best of them!” her declaration is followed by a sharp and direct point to the camera, that becomes a self-confident fist soon after. “i’m not sure yet what i want to be when i debut, but since i can dance and rap as well, i’ll definitely surprise you when i hit the stage next time.” lastly, a bow. “thank you very much!”

??? × reader, ateez × reader
A freshman hookup rekindled into something new. With an incentive, of course. But what would happen if your 'relationship' led you somewhere you never thought would happen to you ?

At exactly 7.45, the boys gathered together in the living area. You came out of your room in your own rainbow-haired white unicorn onesie to a screeching Wooyoung, "twinsies!!" he yelled out before wrapping you in the biggest, tightest hug he could muster.
You giggled and hugged him back, not as tight but still enough. When you both took a step back, you look at Wooyoung up and down with a large grin on your face, "you look very adorable in that, Woo," you said as you tugged his tail.
Wooyoung turned his back and shook his butt at you, "I know, you think you wanna ride this horsey?" he asked, pumping his eyebrows suggestively at you. But instead of jumping on his bones, you opted to jump on his back and make him carry you to the couch.
He dropped you directly on top of San which made him groan but after recovering, he wrapped his arms around you and nuzzle his face on the back of your neck.
"Out of all the seats in this room, you chose my lap. I'm honoured," he joked.
Soon, everyone got into their seats and you and San had somehow slid down onto the floor. You were seated on San's lap but your back was resting on Yunho's chest, Wooyoung had your legs in his lap whereas Jongho had his head on yours. Mingi, who laid on the floor in front of you, had his pinky finger wrapped around yours, Yeosand laid between Mingi and Jongho with his head near your tummy on Yunho's leg, and behind you, on the couch, Hongjoong and Seonghwa watched the movie as they played with your hair absentmindedly.
The impromptu cuddle pile made you feel warm and tingly, it felt like you belong there with them. You weren't even focusing on the movie at that point, you were so engrossed with the boys and their reactions.
How San and Wooyoung would cringe and complain, how Yunho's chest shook every time he laughed, how Jongho would nuzzle into your lap each time he let out a soft chuckle, how Mingi would tighten his pinky's grip on yours when something gory happened on screen, how Yeosang would look up to smile at you from time to time, and how comforting Seonghwa and Hongjoong's touches were and how you could easily differentiate their touches.
Your heart swelled with love for them because you genuinely do love them. They and their unconditional love for you had kept you going so far and you couldn't think of being without them.
But the thought of Sunhee's threats surfaced in your mind. You suddenly felt dizzy, you could feel your heartbeat quickened and you were squirming in your seat.
Realizing this, Yunho leaned down to whisper in your ears, "you okay there, pumpkin?" he asked lowly to make sure he didn't disturb the others. You smiled up at him and drop a peck to his cheek, "I'm okay, Yuyu, just need to grab a coke from the fridge," you pat his thighs before wiggling yourself off of the bodies that had somehow piled themselves on you and off to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, you stood over the fridge.
That's it.
You stood over the open fridge, staring at the contents inside, the coke you were going to get just stared at you from inside the fridge.
"You okay, baby?" a voice called out.
Your head snapped towards the source of the voice to see Hongjoong smiling and walking over to you. You immediately took the coke can and close the fridge, "yeah, I'm totally okay, why?" you smiled back at him.
Hongjoong wrapped his arms around you and peck your head, "you seem distracted, pretty sure you weren't even watching that movie," he said. You pursed your lips and shrugged at him, "I'm pretty sure I'm okay, Joongie," you mumbled.
The man behind you lifted you up, making you squeal, before setting you on the countertop, "you know you've got eight guys who are practically head over heels for you, willing to do and give you anything just to make you smile, right? You could always tell us if something's bothering you any time at all," he said, nestling himself between your legs with his hands on either side of you. You wrap your arms around his neck and nodded, "I know, Joongie, and you all can also tell me anything at all,"
At the mention of 'anything at all', Hongjoong's eyebrows raised suggestively. As his fingers danced on your thighs, he leaned his face close to you, "anything... you say?" he asked, lips ghosting over yours, breath fanning, making you giggle.
Just as you were about to answer, Jongho came in and stopped in his tracks. He sighed at the image before him, "really, you two? Where we make our meals?" he grimaced.
A groan left Hongjoong's mouth at the interruption. "Dude, privacy?" Hongjoong glared at the younger. Jongho didn't even care, he only rolled his eyes at Hongjoong, "This is a communal space, YOU both should go get some privacy,"
Instead of walking out, Jongho walked over and snatched you into his arms. Or more like threw you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
You squealed in surprise while Hongjoong yelled out in protest, but Jongho had ran back out before Hongjoong could even catch him.
The commotion you three caused caught the attention of the other boys as they immediately snapped their heads at you three.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Be careful with (Y/N)!!!" Seonghwa yelled out, sitting up in his seat with arms opened wide, ready to catch you if you were to fall. The other boys also chimed in on how the youngest frat member should be careful when carrying you around. But the fact was, you were laughing your ass off.
Soon enough the movie was abandoned and suddenly a blindfold game commenced.
Begrudgingly, Yeosang agreed to be the one blindfolded as the eight of you hid and mess with him. You chose to hide behind the couch, far from Yeosang's reach but you were still able to watch everything and everyone.
You watched as Yunho and Mingi played monkey in the middle with Yeosang, somehow managing to snatch one of his slippers and toss it over his head at each other. You watched as Wooyoung snatched the slipper and was about to threw it to Jongho but he aimed wrong so it smack Yeosang right on his face. You watched as the two oldest and San mess with Yeosang, calling him names due to his pink unicorn onesie.
Not long after, Yeosang began chasing people around more furiously. He managed to scare Seonghwa and Jongho to run for their lives and somehow managed to rope you into the mess.
With the loud movie in the background and all nine of you screaming (and one Wooyoung screeching), it was amazing that no one had came to threaten filing a noise complaint to the police.
At one point, whilst trying to evade Yeosang, you bumped into Hongjoong which then bumped into San who fell whilst holding onto Mingi, all three falling down like dominos. Yunho tried grabbing Mingi's hands but the weight of two people overpowered him and he ended up toppling over them hard. Both Wooyoung and Seonghwa tripped by the legs sprawled on the floor, making them land on top of the pile on the floor.
Hearing the crash, Yeosang took his blindfold off and smirked, "if I grab onto you all, would that make me the winner?" He asked. "Nope," Jongho said, appearing behind him only to push him onto the human pile on the floor.
"Jackass!" Yeosang called as he tried to get up, but Wooyoung's arms were fast enough to hold him, assuring that he wouldn't be going anywhere.
Seeing as you and Jongho were the last two standing, Seonghwa reached forward and grab both of your and Jongho's arms, pulling you both down onto the pile.
All of you were left a laughing, giggling mess, nudging each other at how ridiculous the situation was. A bunch of college students acting like eight year olds at their first slumber party.
But you didn't mind. You didn't mind one bit.
Because when the morning comes, you know you had to do what you had to do.
And as heart-wrenching as it is, at least you had that night to remember.

Hooked

ch. lxiii - weeping

??? × reader, ateez × reader
A freshman hookup rekindled into something new. With an incentive, of course. But what would happen if your 'relationship' led you somewhere you never thought would happen to you ?

It took Seonghwa a while to work up his courage and knock at your door. True, he was the one who contacted you first but truth to be told, he wasn't thinking when he chatted you up. But he had already said that he was coming so he had to do it.
You called out from inside with a shaky voice, very noticeable to Seonghwa. Before he walked in, he took a deep breath to calm his mind and stabilize himself. When he felt he was ready, he opened the door and peeked in.
"Hi (Y/N)," he greeted. You were sitting cross-legged in the middle of the bed, initially staring at your bed before snapping your head to look at Seonghwa. From your bed, you forced a smile at him. The use of your name was rather... hurtful but you couldn't complain after what you've done. Yeosang's words kept replaying in your head nonstop
"Hey, Hwa, I'm sorry," you said, your gaze dropped to your intertwined hands on your lap.
Seonghwa raised an eyebrow at you and walked towards your bed after closing the door behind him. He took a seat by your side, rather awkwardly if he had to admit.
"Why are you saying sorry for?" he asked. He had an idea as to why you said sorry. But to him, it wasn't that important at the moment, he was honestly just glad that you were unscathed.
You couldn't look at Seonghwa directly, the shame and fear were eating you alive and it made you uncomfortable. You wanted to tell him how you felt, how sorry you are, and what drove you to wordlessly disappear like you did.
But you don't know how to start.
So you sat silently as tears began to drop from your eyes.
Seeing this, Seonghwa's heart broke and he immediately enveloped you in a hug. "Honey, why are you crying? Did I said something wrong?" he asked as he started to rub your arms, chuckling slightly. You couldn't let any words out, you could only let out pitiful sobs as you bury your face in his chest, your arms slowly wrapped themselves around his slim waist.
Due to the uncomfortable position, Seonghwa slowly leaned back onto the headboard with you so you could be snug in his arms.
As per usual, Seonghwa's arms felt like home, you felt completely protected and cared for. Which was annoying since you were supposed to be at odds with them all.
You both stayed in that position, completely disregarding everything else. As you sobbed, Seonghwa kept rubbing your back soothingly. sure, you both liked the silence and the calmness of the situation. But there were just a lot of things left unsaid and the both of you realized that there were things that you needed to talk about.
"We really do miss you, you know?" Seonghwa said, breaking the silence. You looked up through your tears to see him smiling softly at you. One of his hands reached forward to wipe the tears off your cheeks, "We were really useless without you, you know?" he told you with a pout. You couldn't help but giggle at him, "Yeah? I was miserable too, you know? I couldn't tell any of you guys where I was and I had to hide at Haknyeon's apartment that he shared with his roommates," you told him.
Just as you were about to get comfortable again, Seonghwa pulled you back slightly to look at your face. He had his eyebrows furrowed whilst looking at you with a weird expression.
"You weren't with your parents?" he asked. It was your turn to be confused. You furrowed your eyebrows back at him, "Well, yeah, I couldn't stay at home," you told him.
It was true. You were tormented knowing that Sunhee, Jinhee, and Gaho knew about things going on at the frat. So much so that it made you paranoid.
In the end, you turned to the one person you knew could protect you, your cousin Haknyeon. Sadly, he had recently moved in with three other men in a nearby apartment which his other seven friends were staying on different floors. The plus side was you had sure security and you were never lonely.
"Why couldn't you stay at- did your parents knew that you were staying somewhere else?" he asked.
Confused at the sudden change of tone in his voice, you sat up and turn to face him with crossed legs, "No, they don't know. Why are you making a big deal out of this? It's not like Haknyeon and his friends are bad guys," you tried to reason with him.
But at the mention of 'guys', Seonghwa's eyes bulged out and he immediately sat up straight, "Guys?? His roommates are guys??" he asked in disbelief.
A bad feeling crept up in you and you suddenly felt like you don't wanna say anything anymore. But you know you had to answer him if you don't want the situation to become worse.
"How many people were there?" he asked. His once soft expression turned hard, his jaw clenching and his fists balled up. "There were three roommates in his apartment, so there were five of us," "Was Haknyeon always there with you?" "N-no, there were times when Haknyeon had to go out to deal with things and his roommates stayed behind, at least two of them were always around,"
You were being honest, so you didn't have to feel nervous. But somehow you do. With how Seonghwa was staring at you, your brain was blaring the danger alarm.
As his fists unclench and his gaze faltered to a softer one, you began to relax slightly. Seonghwa let out a sigh as he looked to the side, seemingly thinking about something.
But then something flashed in his eyes, it was as if he made a sudden realization.
"What did you meant by 'three in his apartment'? Why did you have to specify that there were three roommates in HIS apartment?" he pressed.
You swallowed the lump in your throat. You didn't even realize that you said that. With the way he asked the question, you just knew that the conversation was not going to end well.
"What I meant... Was... That... Uh..." your voice turned softer as you tried to think about the perfect way to explain to him. But the intensity of his stare messed your brain up, "Haknyeon's other friends also lived in that apartment on different floors, so sometimes all twelve of us hung out together,"
At the mention of the actual number of guys there, Seonghwa jumped off the bed to stand towering over you with his hands on his waist, "So eleven!? There were eleven men around you in which three were always with you during the night!?" he exclaimed.
"W-well, if you put it like that-"
"How else am I supposed to put it, (Y/N)!? You LEFT us for whatever reason there were only to go to an apartment with more guys?? What the fuck, (Y/N)!?" he spat out.
His insinuation that you were out whoring yourself hurt. It hurt so much.
As you tried to speak, your voice cracked, "Y-you think I re-really went out to other guys?" you asked, obviously brokenhearted at the insinuation.
If Seonghwa realized how much you were hurt because of his words, he definitely didn't show it. He let out an exasperated and sharp sigh as he ran a hand through his hair, "I don't know what to think, okay? But Yeosang made a good point earlier; you DID leave us with no explanation and without telling anyone, and now you told me you were staying with other guys? How am I supposed to think!?"
Tears began to drop from your eyes once again, "Hwa, I was with my cousin," your voice was so small, that you were sure Seonghwa couldn't hear you.
Especially with how emotional he got.
"We're not mere options, (Y/N). The fact that I had to tell you that is just infuriating, you know!? We were worried sick about you, and where were you? Having fun with your cousin and his guy friends," he stopped himself when he felt like he was getting overwhelmed. He took a couple of deep breaths with closed eyes, trying to not blow up. As best as he could at least.
After calming himself down, he spoke up again, "I know we were never official, but we told you we loved you and we were genuine about it. If options were what you were looking for, you're with the wrong guys. You're free to make your own choices, but don't play with someone's feelings if you were never sure to begin with," he said before turning around and leave the room.
Feeling hopeless, you broke down and cried out. Tears streamed down your face like a waterfall as your breath became uneven. Your head pounded from the overwhelming emotion and lack of oxygen that tried to enter your lungs through your pitiful sobs.
You tried your best to not cry too loud by covering your mouth and folding yourself into a fetal position on the bed.
The boys really hated you. They all think you were just playing with them and that you left to pursue something more. You considered Yeosang's and Seonghwa's words, how you didn't even try to communicate with them. For whatever reason you had, you just HAD to make a choice alone. A choice that affected nine people.
Maybe it was best to really leave them.
They deserved someone better than you, someone, who would be able to be there with them and be honest and open. Someone who wouldn't just bring shit to them. That someone could've been you, but maybe you hurt them too much to the point that it was all too late.
So you grab your phone from the nightstand after sitting up to dial a number.
The call connected and the person at the other line picked up almost immediately.
"Hello? Yeah, it's me. I-I know it's late and I-I h-have no right to bother you again after everything, but do you think you can help me?"

Hooked
introduction pt. i | pt. ii | pt. iii
ch. lxiv - cowards
<< previous | masterlist | next >>
??? × reader, ateez × reader
A freshman hookup rekindled into something new. With an incentive, of course. But what would happen if your 'relationship' led you somewhere you never thought would happen to you ?

After sending the last text, Mingi and Jongho didn't waste time and immediately rush to (Y/N)'s room. When they arrived, the door was ajar with Seonghwa standing inside. He was staring blankly around, seemingly confused.
"Hyung, have you been here?" Jongho asked, breaking Seonghwa's trance.
"Y-yeah, I did- she left? Just like that ??" Seonghwa asked, still not believing anything that just happened.
Maybe it was Seonghwa's guilt. The fact that his last interaction with you was him accusing you of being a whore didn't sit right with him. There was a lump in his throat and a heavy feeling on his chest. It felt like he was suffocating.
The three of them stood silently, not knowing what to answer.
As they stood silently, the other boys walked in one by one. Wooyoung walked in first with San in tow, they both immediately took note of the silence and just stared at each other with guilt.
One by one everyone else filled the room, staring blankly at the emptiness and letting sorrow and regret fill them.
"S-so that's it? She left us yet AGAIN after having just came back last night?" Hongjoong asked in disbelief. There was no malice in his tone, there were no ill intentions. He was shocked, surprised at the sudden tension.
Mingi turned to look at the eldest with much disdain, "After what happened to her last night, could you really give her blame?"
inking that Hongjoong felt wronged, as he thought his assumption was justified. To be singled out as such was a little bit too much. "Are you trying to be a hero here?" he asked the taller guy. Mingi scoffed at him, "Hero? You think I have some sort of a complex?" "I don't know, do you? I don't think it's a hero complex, but there must be some sort of a messed up complex in you. Because you've been all over the place and overreacting, acting like a mess when you can't find (Y/N) and yet not saying anything when she was here, letting Yeosang ran his mouth at her, driving her off,"
At the mention of his name, Yeosang spoke up from the corner of the room. "I drove her off? Are you fucking serious?" to which San, who was by his side scoffed, "Weren't you the one who verbally attacked her last night? Calling her out on leaving without any explanation was one thing, but to call her a wandering tramp?" "Okay, I was looking out for all of us. YOU especially, San! You don't know how much it affected me seeing you all broken down and you even fell into depression! As your friend, I was fucking worried!" Yeosang defended himself.
Wooyoung chimed in, scoffing at his long-time friend, "Looking out for us? From what? From who? The woman we love? If you wanna go off on her, that's one hundred percent your choice, but don't use us as your excuse. That's just pathetic, man," he told Yeosang whilst glaring at him.
Seonghwa got in between the two, preventing them both from going at it even further. "Okay, enough with you two, you both can't be fighting during this time. Yeosang might've said some... unnecessary things to (Y/N) last night, but things aren't completely his fault," he reasoned.
Surprisingly, Yunho chimed in, smirking at the older man, "You got that right," he muttered. Yunho's voice was intentionally loud enough for everyone to hear, but still low enough for it to seem snarky.
At his chime, Seonghwa furrowed his eyebrows at Yunho, "what's that supposed to mean?" Yunho stepped to Seonghwa while tilting his head as if challenging him, "Don't play dumb, hyung, I heard you last night. Here, you mentioned Yeosang calling (Y/N) names when you basically called her the same thing,"
Whilst the others were left confused, Seonghwa visibly froze. His demeanour changed to a nervous one.
"Yunho, what the fuck are you talking about?" Hongjoong asked.
Yunho looked to the side at Hongjoong casually, "I walked by when I was about to get water last night when I heard yelling from inside her room. Whatever they were talking about, I heard Seonghwa hyung yelling something about (Y/N) staying with guys other than her cousin. The implication was bad, I even heard (Y/N) crying,"
All eyes suddenly shifted to Seonghwa. "Hyung, you made her cry?" San asked, not able to completely believe that Seonghwa was capable of doing that to (Y/N).
Tension rose in the room and suddenly everyone was arguing with each other. All but Jongho who stayed by the sideline, watching the whole thing unfold between his older friends with disappointment in his eyes.
"What happened?" you asked him, appearing by his side out of nowhere.
Jongho sighed before crossing his arms, "They're blaming each other because you left again," he muttered. You frowned and furrowed your eyebrows, "But, I haven't left yet?"
At that, Jongho finally looked at you properly. His eyes widened as wide as they could go, "Oh, hey! You're still here!" He exclaimed loudly, capturing the attention of everyone who was bickering inside.
You stared at them weirdly, "Yeah? Why is that so surprising?"
Mingi stepped out towards you slowly, his hands reached out to grab yours in his softly, "W-we thought you had really left again," he told you, his voice broke from how glad he was.
But that relieved feeling was soon crushed when he heard your answer.
"Well, now I am. I was making sure of something and waiting for Haknyeon to come to pick me up. Since he's here now, I'm... Gonna go," you smiled at them gently. Despite that, there were clear indications that the smile you wore was one of a broken heart.
Seonghwa couldn't help but let his words slip without thinking properly, "You're going back with him and his friends?" to which Yunho immediately nudged him hard on his stomach.
You turn to look at Seonghwa directly. You shook your head at him before answering, "No, I'm not going back to his apartment. Wouldn't be right for me and wouldn't be fair to him. He's just escorting me to my old dorm where I will be staying," you told him. Seonghwa immediately gulped after hearing your answer. He felt bad for jumping to that conclusion, especially after you told him where you were going.
At this point, San had tears brimming in his eyes, blurring his vision, "Wh-why are you going again, (Y/N)? You just got back," he asked as he walked closer to you.
Seeing his tears, you couldn't help but get emotional as well. you let one hand off of Mingi's grasp to cup San's cheek, rubbing it gently with your thumb, "I just have to, Sannie, I'm sorry. I... Just came back up here to tell Mingi and Jongho directly that I'm gonna go now,"
Wooyoung pushed people away to charge directly at you, "Only Mingi and Jongho? That's it? The rest of us didn't even deserve your goodbyes?" there was no resentment in his voice, you noticed. His eyes, however, showed much sorrow.
You sighed and shrugged at him, "With how things went last night, I don't even know if you all wanted to see me again, that's why I tried making my escape as quickly and silently as possible,"
Hongjoong suddenly spoke up, "See, I don't think you wanna leave at all, because if you do, you wouldn't tell us at all and just leave,"
The way he said it set something off in you. Your previous calm demeanour switched within mere milliseconds as you answered Hongjoong bitterly, "of course I don't wanna leave. You think this is easy on me?"
Without realizing it, you slipped your hands off of Mingi's grasp and San's cheek. The others who were in the way moved to the side to let you face Hongjoong directly, slightly afraid of you, "You really think that I came back here just to leave the next day? If so, then not only that you're dead wrong, but you're also an asshole. Every single one of you is acting like I've only been playing around with you all, going back and forth as I please because I don't know what I want. You don't even know why I left. Maybe most of it was because I didn't tell you guys, but part of it was because neither of you even gave me the chance to even explain last night. All of you just turned your backs on me and walked away," you laughed bitterly.
Your words struck them deep. Because they were all true. You might have been the one who started the fight, but they were the ones who delivered the final blow. Not to mention they're male adults who should've been able to communicate and made better decisions. Lastly, there were eight of them and one of you, how was that fair?
The silence and the expression on their faces said a lot, you realized if you were to tell them everything, that was your chance.
So you took a deep breath and spilt everything to them.
You told them about the threat Sunhee gave you, the proof they had, and how they planned on ruining their futures. You told them about how you felt like you didn't have any choice and how you didn't want to make things worse so you just listen to them until you were able to think of something, you wanted to protect them. You also told them how paranoid they made you and how you almost went crazy from worrying over them whilst having to be worried over what those crazy bitches might do.
When you finished talking, you realized that the boys had had tears streaming down their faces. You could see their resolves wilting away and being replaced by regret and shame.
Without even saying anything, Wooyoung pulled you into his arms tightly. He cried, saying how sorry he was for how he acted last night and how he should've trusted you more. Yunho and San wrapped their arms around you too, despite the tears streaming down, they managed to utter how sorry they were for not doing anything. Soon, Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Mingi, and Jongho attached themselves to the growing group hug as well, wordlessly showing their remorse. Despite their lack of words, you understood them just fine.
At that moment, you felt safe, you felt relieved that you were finally able to tell them everything. Things finally seem like they will go back to normal.
Maybe except for one thing.
You lifted your face from where it was nestled in the crook of Wooyoung's neck to meet eyes with the one person who was still rooted in his position.
Yeosang immediately looked away, an attempt you assume was to cover up his own tears.
Though heartbroken that he seemed to still resent you, you took the current win and let yourself bask in the warmth the guys were giving you.
You promised yourself then and there that you wouldn't act so carelessly anymore.
At least not without letting them know.
