oh also since im not done complaining: why the fuck is it so hard to find cds. i literally went to 3 different record stores and they didn’t even have FALL OUT BOY?? you’re telling me that you don’t have 700 copies of from under the cork tree sitting in the back that got donated when people left their emo phases? BE SO FR RN. i literally was trying to find anything from SO MANY (generally popular!) ARTISTS and found NOTHING! you cannot tell me that no one has sold a glass animals, poppy, sleeping with sirens, fall out boy, or MY CHEMICAL FUCKING ROMANCE CD RECENTLY!!

i wanted to get smth from one of the local record stores rather than a billion dollar corporation, but even when i tried THAT I—

FUNDRAISER EVENT Guide Dogs 250 Challenge

From 24th April to 16th May, I'll be taking part in a fundraising campaign for Guide Dogs!

"Every day 250 people in the UK are told they’re losing their sight. It can be devastating. People with a vision impairment are more likely to encounter depression, loneliness, and unemployment. Guide Dogs helps people with sight loss live the life they choose, but we need vital funds to do this. That’s why we need you to be a game changer and take on the 250 Challenge." - Guide Dogs Website

During this time, my Challenge is for streams to be at least 250 minutes long. I also plan to donate an extra £1 for every sub to my channel. And! I've set up a few goals, with incentives to look forward to:

Level 1 Goal £250 : If we hit this, I will sponsor one of the puppies! Level 2 Goal £500 : If we double our 250 goal, I will sponsor two of the puppies!! Level 3 Goal £750 : If we manage to triple our 250 goal, I will sponsor all three puppies!!!

Streaming for 250 minutes (just over 4 hours) doesn't sound like a challenge for most, but for a spoonie like me, who can't regulate their energy levels, it sure can be!

I'll do my best, but in the event I'm unable to meet the 250 minute minimum, we'll have to think of a fun forfeit or something (be gentle).

Regarding the sponsor puppies, the first will be chosen at random, and the second will be via a poll on my fundraiser page.

alright! we've got a new blog here, so i wanted to start things out by saying i'm dedicating the month of May to be my own little Piracy Month!

i hate how dependent the average joe schmoe is on multi-billion dollar corps just to get a chance at enjoying the media he wants to enjoy. even if you pay to use the service, you are by no means guaranteed access to what you pay for all the time. streaming services like netflix and disney+ sunset and vault content all the time, with no consideration for the end user at all. even with gamers, you can pay $70 for a game and if steam decides to remove that game from steam's library, you're now down $70 AND you don't have the game.

fuck these corporations for essentially forcing us to be dependent on them just to enjoy things. i'm gonna take things into my own hands and start building up my own storage of PHYSICAL media, and these corpos aren't getting a cent outta me for it. i'm gonna pirate my favorite shows, movies, games, etc. and give my money to those who actually deserve it, like if i bought an artist's album off bandcamp or smth like that. and i'm gonna put em on physical media: mp3 players, cd's, etc. so that way, even if these twats decide to sunset EVERYTHING and fuck everyone over, i'll still have my own little slice of physical enjoyment, that NO ONE can take from me!
