Yeah that looks about right. Sure.

Not bad for a first attempt! Maybe! Not shown are all the pins I had in place, I actually did a bit of sewing/resewing, having No idea how to approach this (at first I made like. The Baggiest Fucking mesh pants, sewn at the inner legs. Which. Made me realize Hey Wait. What if....... sewn Directly Onto leg and waist.......... 🤔🤔🤔)

I feel like an improvement could be having the big seam in the back of the legs, instead of on the inner legs. Esp for a doll, like.... it's probably gonna be front facing most of the time. Sitting down, also. But this is really just a proof of concept, a rough draft kinda! A TEST RUN. To see if I can even get the desired effect/fit, and to see how the doll itself would move with tights around the legs and feet. Which is really good actually?! I didn't take a lot of pose pics, but. It does move well! Way better than I expected!

And bc this was a test run, I was using just any material that may work, and... I actually adore the look of it??? On this small of a scale, the mesh (part of a tutu-like skirt lmfao) reads more like fishnets. Which is. A FASCINATING angle, for Mani, actually. Like I conceptualize it with a sheer black tights look. And while this remains true... working with this subtle fishnet look, and the way it hugs/darkens around the thighs, giving it a bold outline shape! (... beyond the big ass seam. Ignore that.) I found myself REALLY appreciating The Duality of it. The direct contradiction. Tights can be worn to make an outfit more modest... but can also undeniably be seen as a sexually suggestive piece of clothing. Again, a FASCINATING design element on Mani. Mani... both Is, and Is Not, a lot of things. Often if not always in conflict with all that it is (and is not.)

I don't quite have all the words for the Lore, but it's neat! Holds up Mani. Pats it on the head. This Unauthorized Fucking Thing can fit soooooooo many mental illnesses in it.
