i remember back in like 2009 i followed this twitter acc that was swiftfacts or sth like that. and this girl was always going on abt mary's song and at this point my english was pretty pitiful so i looked up the lyrics and lemme tell ya at age 11 i thought that was the deepest, most profound love song ever written. i legit started having a crush on a random childhood friend AFTER that bc i got obsessed w the idea of knowing each other your whole lives and falling in love and growing old etc etc

i literally did not care abt the guy. i just wanted my life to be a live reenactment of the lyrics

she told a fan it was her favorite because she was there when taylor wrote it— i haven’t been able to find the actual fan, but taylor-swiftfacts posted about it. so like, grain of salt, but at the very least she’s said on camera that wildest dreams is one of her favorite songs around the same time as when the swiftfacts was posted
