the fact that T hasn’t been able to re-record rep and acknowledged just how much that album was a ‘you had to be there’ moment is truly a testament to that era. there was always something so uncomfy at the prospect of rep tv and so many people that openly hated her and forced her into that incredibly dark place real time during rep getting to switch sides and stanning rep tv. rep was always for the swifties, for everyone that stood by her without wavering and were fighting in the trenches for her.

I personally don’t understand women who hate Taylor Swift for “having too many exes” or being “basic” or “overrated” or whatever. I feel like some people are so scared to be “basic”(which in their case is literally participating in any teen girl activity) it makes them seem even more. Like babes you’re not feminist for being different and hating on the girls who enjoy being in their feminine energy and letting people provide for them, you’re a feminist if you support and uplift the women around you. It literally has nothing to do with style or hobbies. I understand if someone doesn’t like Taylor’s music, everyone has preferences of course, but hating her for the sole fact she’s “overrated” is awful. She’s worked hard to get where she is and she deserves the fame she gets, who are you to tell her that she doesn’t deserve her success? And can we stop putting labels on women? (“Basic”, “pick me”, “attention seeker”, etc.) it’s okay for us to just be. It’s okay to own a Stanley cup or own something from Lululemon. No it does not make you a “basic white girl”. That annoys me too, why are we branding things with a literal race? As a brown girl, I’ve been called “whitewashed” for owning a freaking pink Stanley cup liking things like shopping and self care. What the hell even is the term “whitewashed”? I feel like it’s an incredibly thrown out term and it’s obviously not right to say. Anyways, instead of girls hating on eachother why can’t we just uplift and support eachother instead? Like wtv happened to girls support girls?

Taylor Swift really meant it when she said:
“Would’ve been right there front row, even if nobody came to your show”
But in the way of this quote:
“My sister clapped so loud, I never noticed who didn’t”
In the way of even in a crowded room of hundreds of people already standing, chanting, and cheering; millions more watching; she’s still the first to stand and sing along for each and every artist that gets up there… and I think it says a lot about her, and the reason she is such a profound artist in this world of incredible people.

i can handle taylor swift being one of the best modern example of white mediocrity in both music and feminism to date as well as her being a terrorist to the environment but when i see her fans doing all these grand things for her (like mass reporting anyone who criticizes) i really wish that she would use that influence to speak out about the current genocides instead

While swifties are coming for my ass about taylors' carbon emissions no longer being as bad as some other celebrities, let's list some other horrible things she's done:
1. Refusal to so much as speak out about Palestine (to her billions of fans), let alone donate even a penny.
2. Blatant disrespect to music icon Celine dion.
3. Dragging lana del rey on stage as a means of asserting dominance, disguised as an honorary gesture.
4. Threatening to sue a collage student for "stalking and harassment" after he used public information to track her private jet usage.
5. Capitalising on feminism, despite never actually supporting feminist organisations.
6. Appropriation of black culture and romaticisation of colonialism.
And to answer the age-old question of "well why drag Taylor swift when alot of other artist are doing the same things she does?"
I do drag other artists. And them coincidentally also being horrible people does not make taylors actions any better, and the difference between her and other artists is that she is a fucking billionaire. There is no ethical way on this entire earth to become a billionaire. She is not a feminist. She does not care about you or your rights.
