Coming out of my cage after a 3+ year hiatus after I found my Twitter feed was blowing up this morning, and multiple photos on my Instagram targeted by tweens demanding answers about MGG.
I’ll make this brief.
You guys know people can write what they want on the internet? With no ramifications, right? The same law that allows you to post d-ath threats aimed at Matthew and comments calling me ‘disgusting’ for ‘harboring a p-do’ also allow people to push Covid conspiracies, claim elections were rigged, leave r-cist, s-xist, h-mophobic comments and allege whatever they want against any celebrity they choose to.
This is not a new thing. This is by definition, the Hollywood Rumor Mill.
It’s born from a psychological phenomenon whereby someone seeks to destroy, erase (or in some cases even m-rder) objects of their affection in order to gain some kind of ownership over them. Destruction and/or Negotiation of Personhood - a theme in several CM episodes - or in laymen’s terms - what Gideon once described as “if I can’t have you, no one will.”
Those arguing so long and so loudly about ‘believing the victim’ need to understand this: there is a reason why people are not thrown in jail for life in the absence of a m-rder weapon and body. You cannot provide proof for something that did not happen. Unsubstantiated accusations are not proof of victimhood. Signed affidavits detailing a solid series of events, attesting to truth and filed with the knowledge that making a false statement is a criminal offence - wherein the accuser actually has something lose - levels the playing field and allows for a fair trial, free from existing bias and emotion.
This is not difficult when you stop and think for a moment. Think back to CM 2x12, Derek was accused of m-rder. Did the team believe the accuser and throw him in jail to rot? No, they looked for evidence. All Derek had to exonerate himself was his word. Think, think..
Lastly, the comments you are writing on Twitter are abhorrent. Hiding behind a keyboard calling people names and making very real threats does not make you edgy, cool or woke. Celebrities are humans, they are not objects you can speak at how you wish. It is enough that you think stalking Matthew, and his family, across the country for photo opportunities and autographs is not invasive or out of line. Telling people to end their lives based on a rumor is beyond belief.

I agree. A ridiculous trope that comes up every so often on network TV when it really should remain on soap operas. These writers are running out of ideas.
i can’t speak from experience obviously so maybe i’m wrong but this whole long lost parent/child thing just feels so strange and forced and fake to me. like… you find your biological father, or you suddenly discover you have an adult daughter that you never knew about and within weeks you’re acting like they’re close family and always have been?
like… don’t get me wrong, i understand the desire to connect. i really do. but to actually be connected within a matter of weeks just feels so off?? like… she’s calling rossi dad already and has from minute one and that’s so fucking weird because dad is a really personal, loaded word and he might be biologically related to you but he’s still a virtual stranger???/

I don't know what show you've been watching for 11~ years, but they've stuck to the same formula in every single episode. If you don't like it, don't watch? Contrary to popular belief the writers can't change a "tried and tested" formula without the networks approval. Have you ever seen Supernatural? Exhibit A.
Dear Criminal Minds writers and fans
Dear Criminal Minds writers,
Please drop this mechanical way of writing. Garcia does not need to start every briefing with her tiring quirks.
Hotch does not need to say “wheels up in 30” before every freaking case. Its not his signature just because you made a music video about it.
They get on a plane and discuss the case and Hotch closes it off with directions and they move on. Like I can rewrite/simplify your episodes in 5 minutes.
Stop having the agents present the case with everyone participating like it’s some high school presentation. One sentence per character is so robotic and boring as hell.
Why do the agents present a case to the local authorities when they do all the work anyway? What happened to actually helping the locals and not dominating them?
Rossi is one of the the BAU’s creators. Please use him accordingly. Stop making him equally as useful (or useless…) as others when he should be at least a bit above the rest.
Again, Garcia does not need to answer the phone with some cheesy remark. Sometimes she can get straight to the point please. I can barely stand her voice sometimes. What happened to her character in these last seasons?
I got over JJ becoming a profiler through osmosis because she’s pretty good and at this point it’s whatever. I dont really have any complaints with her. Maybe show that Will and her are still involve? And they seem kind of cold with each other I don’t get that.
Hotch does not need to be monotone and stony in every episode. I’m not saying he needs to revert back to season 1 but he needs more. I love him and it pains me to see him so banal. Lord knows Mr. Scratch was a blessing just to see him act differently….
Reid is now Morgan’s equal. He’s grown. Show that. Well Morgan’s gone now so maybe that can be shown. And stop torturing him. Stop recycling Hotch storylines for him. Give him a girlfriend that won’t die and just stop already. Stop killing women for these men to grow. It’s unnecessary. Stop.
Morgan’s exit was rushed as hell which is sad since you knew about Shemar leaving since last year. And parts of it made no sense. The script made me wince too. Or was it the acting. Probably the script. And you recycled “100” here too. Not surprising.
Tara is boring and I don’t blame Aisha for that. I forget she’s even there.
Please step it up this season. I get it. Everything changes but change should be a good thing. Don’t become a Law and Order SVU and do hype episodes with little to show for it. And please follow through with your stories. I get it. Releasing 12 killers gives you some plots for next season but you didn’t need to wait a year to see how Mr. Scratch affected Hotch. What about personal glimpses? A bit of a struggle while working? Same with JJ’s kidnapping that made no sense. Same with everyone who’s been hurt and then it’s buried.
Dear fans,
Stop gassing them up with endless compliments. Be critical. Please. Criticism helps. If they can’t take that why are they writing.

All animals go to heaven is just illogical planning. You’re telling me every crocodile that ever lived is in heaven? Heaven must be swarming crocodiles. Does that sound like heaven to you? Thousands of millions of crocodiles?
