That smell. It’s off from the normal folks around here. a city smell.. Neil heard the bar doors open up, turning his head towards them. It was hard to make it seem like he could see, but he did his damnedest. “How can I help ya?” He called out as he walked up front, stopping behind the bar. This was his usual, just working the bar.

Though the aforementioned temper can serve as an annoyance, it can also serve as a source of entertainment. Riling her up always provides a good chuckle

He could probably brainwash her (and it did happen in an AU once...)

She makes for a decent drinking buddy

She hesitated a moment before pressing her ear against his chest. To her surprise, there in fact was a heartbeat. "Oh, whoa," she remarked as she pulled away. "So you really do have a human body. The philosopher's stone is really the only thing that sets you apart from someone like me. Sorry, I've just always been curious about homunculi."

He chuckled at her reaction. "Were you expecting to hear nothing or what?" He shrugged. "It's more complicated than that, but I don't feel like explaining."

So this is... really so amazing I have no idea how to even begin. I've had just such an amazing time developing Lumi and getting to know her as a muse, and I'm so floored that so many of you like her as much as I do. I can't believe it's been almost three years now.

Ahh I'm sorry I'm not great at putting my feelings into words. Just know that I have a lot of love for Lumi and just as much love for all of you who've decided to come and hang around with me and her. And speaking of people who I love...

Yeah, I’m never going to move to Texas. Considered it, but I can’t stand humidity. California may be prohibitively expensive, especially for millenials like me, but the weather sure is nice.

I grew up in N.ca and I love it to death, but with the water problems that entire state is having I won’t go back there and I can’t in good conscience recommend anyone else move their either. 

I’m not sure where would be better though. I’ve heard good things about Oregon? v.v||

Idk what that means, but I’m going to assume that it sucks.

Well it’s Texas for one.  But also it’s the ass end of Texas, so no where near anyone else that I know who lives in this hell state. Plus it’s a kind of sub-tropic environment down here so not only is it hot, the humidity from being so close to the ocean makes it feel even more hot than it is. And damp.  Hot and damp.

"Uhm…," Erika mumbled awkwardly as she scratched her head. "Er, no, actually…. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that I’m sort of lost. You’d think that living in this city for all these years I’d know how to get home, or at least know better than to wander to places I’m not familiar with."

She then brought her hand down and place it on her hip. She looked around her, but the more she did, the more confused she became. Where even was she?

Marielle smiled up at her. "So you live here too, huh? No sweat, I'll be glad to help."

She undid her ponytail and let her long, brown hair flow freely over her shoulders. She didn't resemble her brother in the slightest; not in appearance, nor in demeanor--well, usually. They did both like helping people out.

"So, where do you live?"

"Yes, actually," Miles replied, unamused as he pointed his gun at her head. "You’re supposed to react, Lieutenant Colonel, if only to demand I point my gun away from you."  He stood straight as he quickly lowered his gun, giving her the proper respect and bowing his head in apology.  "My apologies; I had no idea any officials were inside.  I should have been more careful."
