Create a delicious Carne Asada Taco Bar with marinated grilled flank steak and a variety of toppings. Perfect for a fun and customizable taco night with friends and family.
Ingredients: 2 lbs flank steak. 1/4 cup orange juice. 1/4 cup lime juice. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 teaspoon cumin. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 small flour tortillas. 1 cup diced onion. 1 cup chopped cilantro. 1 cup diced tomatoes. 1 cup shredded cheese. 1 cup sour cream. 1 cup guacamole.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade. Place the flank steak in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results. Preheat your grill to high heat and oil the grates to prevent sticking. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain. Warm the flour tortillas on the grill for about 20 seconds per side. Assemble the tacos by placing slices of grilled carne asada on each tortilla, and top with diced onions, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. Serve immediately and enjoy your Carne Asada Tacos!

These vegan cauliflower shawarma tacos are bursting with flavor and texture, making them a delicious and satisfying meal. Roasted cauliflower seasoned with fragrant spices is paired with crunchy cabbage, creamy avocado, juicy cherry tomatoes, spicy jalapeños, and fresh cilantro, all wrapped in warm corn tortillas. Finish with a drizzle of vegan tzatziki or tahini sauce for a delightful finish.
Ingredients: 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1 teaspoon ground coriander. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. teaspoon ground turmeric. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 small corn tortillas. 1 cup shredded red cabbage. 1 avocado, sliced. 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved. 1 jalapeo, thinly sliced. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. Vegan tzatziki or tahini sauce, for serving.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 425F 220C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. While the cauliflower is roasting, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until heated through. A Flavorful Journey Through the Barcocina West Town Menu
If you're craving bold flavors and vibrant ambiance, the Barcocina West Town menu is your passport to a culinary adventure in the heart of Chicago. This progressive Mexican concept, helmed by Oaxacan-born chef Ramiro Piza, reimagines traditional dishes with inventive twists, offering a dining experience that’s as exciting as the neighborhood it calls home.
The Barcocina West Town menu is designed for sharing, making it perfect for lively dinners with friends or festive private events. Start with their signature guacamole—available in classic, truffle street corn, or even lobster variations. Pair it with the Elotes Corn Salsa or Queso Fundido for a trio of irresistible starters. Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients and layered flavors that reflect the chef’s deep culinary roots.
When it comes to mains, the tacos are a must. From the smoky Adobo Steak to the tropical Pineapple Pork and the crispy Bang Bang Shrimp, each taco is a flavor bomb wrapped in a warm tortilla. Vegetarians and vegans aren’t left out either—options like the Al Pastor Tofu and Bang Bang Cauliflower are just as satisfying and thoughtfully prepared.
Brunch lovers will find plenty to swoon over. The Cornbread Benedict with smoked short rib and spinach hollandaise is a standout, while the S’mores French Toast brings a playful, indulgent twist to the table. And don’t miss the Wake Up Tacos or the Hangover Omelet—both are perfect for a weekend recharge.
Of course, no visit is complete without exploring the cocktail list. Barcocina’s margaritas are legendary, and the tequila selection is extensive. Whether you’re sipping a classic or trying a seasonal creation, the drinks are as artful as the food.
With its colorful décor, open-air seating, and welcoming vibe, Barcocina West Town is more than just a restaurant—it’s a destination. Whether you're planning a casual night out or a special celebration, the menu offers something for every palate and occasion.
