Technically the stage version of High School Musical since it was the first show I was ever in (I was Ryan), and smol me didn’t know how to read sheet music yet so I went off of primarily the movie soundtrack and what was available at the time on Youtube. Into the Woods was a REALLY close second. 

phantom of the opera: the first musical you ever saw live

I don’t remember which came first, but it was either during one-act competition I think my sophomore year of hs and this school did Titanic (or as I called it, Titantic) or when the touring company of Beauty and the Beast performed in my area and I was bLOWN AWAY and it cemented my passion for theatre.

YES! I mean both and I also like to stage manage and paint sets and organize props and basically be involved in theatre any way I can.

TBH I did shed some tears the entire duration of the act one finale of Dear Evan Hansen. Same during The Lion King the first time I listened to it.

Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd. She’s a very strong and complex character and Angela Lansbury SLAYED as her (literally).

This changes like every day but “There You Are” from Drood will always be one of my favourite opening numbers. 

in the heights: are you an in depth theatre kid who is great at singing and always gets good parts or are you the one who will supports and loves their good theatre friend or the one who wants to audition but can't sing at all and gets stage fright

This one’ll probably be easier to answer if I give you my whole backstory in a separate post lol, so get your popcorn ready. Basically, prior to college, I’ve been cast in every show I performed in. However, I went into college with absolutely no technical experience aside from painting a few flats. Luckily I’m in a program now where everyone is incredibly involved, whether it’s both on and offstage or just offstage, and I love it regardless. I’m a solid singer and I’d say a fair actor, though dancing’s not my strong suit (yet). I also recently discovered that I love stage management and I really enjoy working in the shop.
