To Sonic: Sorry if I struck a nerve or bothered you but the question is have you heard of someone that goes by the name "Mephiles The Dark?"

Heh, so the cookies were a bribe, eh? Kidding- like I said, we're all good. I shouldn't have snapped like I did before, but as for your question...

Heard of 'em? I met the guy. Creepy bastard, that one- but, you probably know that, right? From.. however it is you guys all seem to know about our world?

Honestly, even if I'm even more confused how you know what you know... it's, actually kinda nice, to think I'm not the only one who remembers all that stuff. It got totally wiped for the others! Which, I guess was kind of the point, but still.

Heh, honestly? Wildest thing about that time isn't even like. The me dying, part. Like yeah, that was... rough is a word, but, being the only one who remembers that Silver was hunting me when we first met? Now that was hard to move past. That hog's telekinesis is no joke, good thing we mostly face bots or else things would start getting messy.

We're cool now! I mean, he doesn't remember it anyway; but, in the list of my friends I've had the pleasure to actually face in a true, "trying to actively kill or otherwise horribly incapacitate me" fight, Silv's probably the scariest. And that list is... longer than most would consider "normal". And includes actual trained-from-birth warriors and Shadow. So. Y'know. He means business when he's got the right motivation.

Been thinking of a fun "what if" scenario where Shadow is Silver's dad—but in the way that Black Doom is Shadow's "dad". If society locked up Shadow for the rest of his life, I think there's no doubt that they'd mess with his alien-hybrid DNA, try to find an answer to the flames swallowing their world. Create a hero.

They're repeating the mistakes of the past, but do they know that?

Far enough in the future for Shadow to only ever be the scapegoat for all things wrong in the world, his good actions for humanity never acknowledged or, instead, credited to Sonic in the legends, lost to time.

Thinking so hard about a little Silver trying to come to terms with his family, just like Shadow had to with his own. Thinking of Silver being raised in a similar environment like Shadow was, tested and trained, the only difference is Silver's on planet earth. Just as isolated. Thinking of Silver running around somewhere he shouldn't, stumbling upon his.. Dad, and wondering if he's capable of saving the world. Or if he'll bring them closer to the end.

A new thing I'm thinking about including for my Sonic AU

This is for my Sonic '06 AU

Silver's known Mephiles for basically all his life (he's young in the first picture). He gives Silver praise to keep him happy and trusting him, and to pull him further under his control.

The second picture is Sonic trying to convince Silver that Mephiles isn't a good person. Silver knows, but is deep in denial about it because of his idealized version of Mephiles he has in his mind.

This is a new idea I just had in the past few hours, but aha... Psychological torture is my favorite thing to subject characters to 🥰
