Spreads from 'Takashi Homma: Tokyo and My Daughter,' an expanded edition of the Japanese photographer's acclaimed 2006 homage to his two great loves, published by @nievesbooks⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ The intention behind 'Tokyo and My Daughter' is best explained by Homma himself: “I love my daughter very much. I love Tokyo very much.” Homma’s affection is nearly tangible in this series of 32 color photographs in which images of his daughter are placed beside detail shots of the city’s cars, houses and trees.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Homma’s daughter, captured in various stages of toddlerhood in everyday locations, stares serenely just beyond the camera lens, unselfconscious and generally appearing more interested in the person holding the camera than the device itself: in one photograph, she peers out curiously from the backseat of a car, while in another she points her own tiny pink camera back at her father. 写真家 Ryan Mcginley (ライアン・マッギンレー) の責任編集による、Cartier (カルティエ) のためのアートブック『”With Nail & I” edited by Ryan Mcginley for Cartier_ Juste un Clou』が、5月下旬に刊行される。

このアートブックは、1本の釘からインスピレーションを得て1970年代ニューヨークで誕生した Cartier のジュエリーコレクション「JUSTE UN CLOU (ジュスト アン クル)」をテーマに、 Ryan Mcginley が日本人セレブリティとリアルピープルを撮り下ろした写真や、自身が厳選したホンマタカシら4名のアーティストたちによるコミッションワークを1冊にまとめた500部限定の木製ボックス入りの豪華仕様本となっている。4月21日 (金) より店頭もしくはオンラインストアにて予約が可能となるので、確実にゲットしたい場合は事前予約がおすすめだ。

また本書の刊行にあわせ、アートブックの記念展示が IMA CONCEPT STORE (イマ コンセプト ストア) で開催される。期間は4月21日(金)から5月6日(土)までとなっており、期間中はアートブックの中から一部のビジュアルが公開されるとのこと。会場では Ryan Mcginley がセレクトした音楽や、アートブックのイメージ映像も公開され、アーティストが 「JUSTE UN CLOU」にインスパイアされた新しい表現に全身で浸ることのできる特別な空間となる模様。GWのおでかけリストにぜひ追加したい。
