Which means mastadon and tumblr as well as RSS.
They're kickstarting it here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iconfactory/project-tapestry/

I am not affiliated with them excepting I use their mastadon client, and used to use their twitter client back before it was Elon'd.

Serial Sunday: Ivory, Tapestry, and a Black Magic Trackpad
Here’s this week’s list of things to check out. Ivory When Twitter changed things such that apps like Twitterific and Tweetbot could no longer effectively serve their customers, Tapbots, the maker of Tweetbot, introduced Ivory in short order. It’s a great Mastodon client, feels familiar to Tweetbot users, and I prefer it to the stock Mastodon app. Tapestry I featured the new Reeder in Sunday…

Hmmm. I'm biting the bullet and getting a new Mastadon account, it seems the new influx of people forced improvements on Mastadon. Also, new apps are being made that will make using Mastadon a lot smoother and more 'twitter' like UI and UX wise.
(One of them is Ivory by Tapbots which is in its Alpha testing, but I've heard good things about it).
*I've tried Hive social which had the most seamless experience and a lot of people joined but there were things that have come out about it that made me look at it warily.
Also, as a podcaster I listen to pointed out, its kind of tiring relying on a closed proprietary system after what's happened with twitter.
