🐒 Tag someone who isn’t a huge fan of monkeys and they will change their mind now. We need to talk. In absolute terms, I love all animals & I root for them. There are some though, like monkeys, that I usually don’t trust. I love them from a distance. 🙈 But it’s in the Bohol island in the Philippines that I found the exception to this rule, and I think you’ll agree with me. 🥰

Just look at this insanely cute creature called Tarsier. Measuring only 4 tiny inches, it is the smallest primate on earth. They used to live in rainforests all around the world, but now they are found only in a couple islands in the Philippines, Borneo and Indonesia. Their numbers are plummeting. Heartbreak now. 💔

Some say that they are suicidal, because when they are scared they stop breathing. Apparently, it’s more like they enter a state of shock, and they fall off trees, unprotected and die. When we go see them, we need to be absolutely quiet. Their lives are worth it ❤️
