You’d never understood the phrase “it’s quiet, too quiet” until now. The farther you plunged into Heavy Containment, the quieter it became. There were also less signs of chaos and death, a stark contrast to what lay behind you.

It made sense, in a way. The most dangerous anomalies were stored here, but it wasn’t the kind of danger that came with claws and teeth. With these anomalies, you didn’t know anything was wrong, that you were already dead, until the deed was done. These anomalies were the reality-benders and mind breakers. Cognitohazards were, in many ways, more horrifying because of the horrors you couldn’t perceive.

You didn’t know why the archival section had been built so close to this wing, but if anything, it would act as a deterrent for those who wanted to reach the many dangerous objects contained within. It was unlikely you would run into anyone still alive.

That was your assumption, anyway. And as the squad of Mobile Task Force soldiers rushed into the room, catching you out in the open of a large work area, you felt like an idiot.

049 grabbed your arm and shoved you behind him, but there wasn’t a point. The soldiers encircled you from all sides, rifles and shotguns aimed at your chests. They shouted, yelled orders, demanded you get on the ground. This was a recapture, not an extermination.

Neither of you obeyed. You pressed your back to his, wishing you still had your P90—at least you could go down fighting. Even if dying meant the facility would be torn apart, you held out hope 049 would have a chance to survive and escape.

049 let his cane drop to the floor, and then his hand curled around yours. A shuddered breath escaped you, because you understood. 049 would rather die here, with you, than walk free alone.

You braced for the impact of bullets tearing into flesh, a feeling you were now intimately familiar with, your heart in your mouth, lungs burning. 049 gripped your hand tighter, and you wished you had time, there was so much you still wanted to say—

The room fell silent. The soldiers stopped shouting orders and simply stood there like statues, the likeness made stronger with the shields covering their faces. They remained that way, inert and silent, for several seconds.

And then they each turned to their left, aimed their weapons at the back of the soldier next to them, and fired. They fell to the ground in a movement so synchronized it was almost unnatural, and then the room returned to deathly stillness, the air marred with the lingering stench of gunfire and blood.

You leaned against 049’s broad back, trying to catch your breath, and you opened your mouth to say what the hell?! and immediately closed it. Something covered in green fur and grey scales sauntered into the room, his shoulders now reaching up to your waist.

682, grown to the size of a very large wolf, exposed his teeth in a canine grin, and perched on his back was a little girl who looked about three years old.

“Reid!”

The child scrambled down 682’s back and raced across the room. She crossed the line of bodies without stopping, she didn’t even notice them, and launched herself at you, wrapping her arms around your legs.

049 had moved out of the way of the girl’s arrival, and you met his gaze with wide eyes, but he didn’t have an explanation either.

“053,” you said, keeping your tone calm for the girl’s sake. “What are you doing here?”

“We came to find you!”

You glanced toward 682, but the reptile ignored you and sniffed at the corpses. You really hoped he didn’t start eating them.

049’s attention was also drawn to the destruction around him.

“Did you do this?”

“Do what?” 053 clung to your leg but stared up at 049 with wide, curious eyes.

You shook your head just enough for 049 to catch, and the confusion cleared from his expression, settling into something more concerned. He crouched down, bracing one knee against the floor so he didn’t tower over the girl, and he kept his hands folded in his lap where they wouldn’t accidentally touch her.

“We thank you for your assistance, little one. What name may I call you?”

053 frowned a little, though it turned inward.

“I don’t… remember.”

“That’s okay.” You patted the girl’s head, not exactly sure how to comfort a child, especially one who had stayed the same age for an unknowable amount of time. “What do you say to leaving the facility with us?”

“Can 682 come too?”

The sound of bones snapping between boney jaws made you wince.

“Sure, he can come.”

“And 079?”

You glanced backward at the corpse-dining reptile and saw the laptop bag slung along his neck, carrying the weight of the laptop. It was kind of sweet. With the way he looked out for 079 and 053, you could almost imagine he had a soft spot.

“Of course,” you said, as if 682 wouldn’t gnaw on your bones next if you tried to separate them. “We won’t leave anyone behind.”

053’s smile spread into a grin, and she nodded from where she hid behind your leg, shyly peeking out at 049. But 049 quickly got to his feet when 682 joined you, his stride heavy and predatory. You kind of missed the gecko version.

“I was unaware you still lived,” 049 said, appraising the reptile with a cool stare. 682’s smile was toothy and mean.

“Likewise. I figured you were Old Man chum. 079 put your odds of survival at 0.23%.”

049’s stare turned withering, and 682 leered at you.

“You went through all that trouble. He must be really good.”

Your face burned, and when 049 sent you a questioning frown of his eyes, you turned away and busied yourself with finding something useful among the dead. You found a fully loaded shotgun strapped with shells and took it; you didn’t plan to be caught off-guard again.

“So,” you said, inspecting the weapon, “what have you two been up to?”

“Keeping you all alive.” 682’s tone was bored. 053 came up to him and padded him on the neck, and he pretended not to notice. “079 sectioned off more of his programming and embedded it into the system. Something about the facility’s security algorithms attempting to gas us, electrocute us, or torch us alive. Our captors believe, rightly so, that they have lost control of the facility.”

Well, it was nice to know they hadn’t betrayed you.

“I see. Uh… thanks.”

682 snorted and shook his head, causing the girl to giggle as his long fur tickled her face.

“079 likes you far too much to let you die. Besides, if you perished, we would not survive it.”

“Right,” you grumbled. Did everyone know what you were before you? “Let’s go. We’re almost there.”

682 knelt down, allowing 053 to crawl onto his back, but he hesitated to follow once he was on his feet.

“That way leads deeper into the facility.”

“Yes,” 049 said, his dour tone conveying how much he liked this plan. “To the archival section. The mask indicated it contains an exit.”

“Oh, well, if the mad mask says it’s true, we should take it on blind faith as we walk into the darkness. Superb planning by the facility’s top two geniuses.”

How a reptile could be so sarcastic, you didn’t know.

The girl clapped her hands as 682 took the lead, and you exchanged a tired look with 049. He looked tempted to hit the reptile with his cane, so you took his hand instead. It did its job, drawing 049’s attention back to you, and his eyes softened around the edges.

With 682 ahead, 053 providing an invisible barrier around you, and segments of 079 looking out for you, it felt safe enough to indulge. It was strange to have allies, for you and 049 to not have to do this alone. You weren’t free yet, but you were getting closer.

049 squeezed your hand, and you followed him down the red-tinted corridor that would lead to the end. One way or another.

Tales: Monsters, Inc. - Scares of the Night Part 1

SCP-040

Emily was sleeping in her bed with SCP-040-1c playing her a lovely tune, soon her closet slowly opened and out came a Monsters, Inc Employee. He was weirded out by how large the girls room was and how it was filled with nothing but a bed, some basic furniture that was really spaced out, and what looked to be a large pink and blue beanie bag. He then shook his head as he had a quota to make and needed to focus on his task. He walked up to the girl ready to scare her but soon the beanie bag started moving making him freeze in fear.

Soon it unfolded into SCP-040-1j which quickly walked up to the monster employee and towered over him. He soon lost all of his colors and backed off back into the closest. Once the monster was gone SCP-040-1j smiled and curled back up and went back to sleep. 

SCP-053

Abby was sleeping in her bed when suddenly a furry monster employee jumped out and roared at her. Her eyes opened as the sudden roar forced her to wake up in confusion. She looked at the monster who stood there with his angry and terrifying face. However, after getting a good look at him she started laughing. She laughed quite a lot leaving the monster deeply confused as he was known as one of the scariest.

“You're silly, do you wanna be my friend? gasp you can meet lizzy! He’s big and scary but really funny like you!” The monster employee was shocked as Abby got up. He knew the dangers of human germs, so he quickly walked back into the closet and deactivated the door. He sighed in relief as he was back in the real world though he noticed that somehow his scare canister was filled up despite the girl not screaming. He was concerned but figured it was best to just take the win and move on to the next door.

Iris was just lying in her bed. She felt she embarrassed herself in front of Meri today and thus couldn’t sleep with that weighing on her heart. She knew Meri would never bring it up or even make a big deal out of it, but her anxiety wouldn’t let her calm down no matter how many times she told herself that. However, her eyes widened in confusion when a beetle-like monster started hissing at her. She grunted and sat up without screaming, just glaring at the monster leaving them confused.

“... uh… roar?” Iris then narrowed her eyes at the monster as it was now feeling awkward. It then tried opening up its wings and hissing again but once again Iris was not having it and continued to glare at him in judgment.

“... Okay look, whatever the heck this is I’m not in the mood, so whoever or whatever you are just leave!” The monster then recoiled and awkwardly just walked back into the closet and returned to his world. Iris then fell back into her bed, granted that was something she should probably report to Daniel or someone else but right now the Foundation higher ups could die for all she cared. 

SCP-134

Stella was staying up that night playing with her Foundation Computer Screen Pad. She was using a game application that allowed her to make funny noises and music if she wanted too. However, she then noticed that there was a slithering noise behind her. She turned to face it and was quickly confronted by a serpentine-like monster employee. She however couldn’t see so she thought maybe it was a Foundation employee checking up on her.

The monster however, saw her eyes and since the room was dark, she could see the stars in her eyes. The monster had never seen a child with such eyes and screamed in horror as a result. She quickly slithered back into Stella’s closet and into her own world. Stella huffed as she now believed it was a janitor who was being a jerk for screaming at her eyes. She knew her eyes were weird, but she still didn’t like people being scared of her for it. Meanwhile the monster realized his own screams ended up charging up the canister. He vowed to never tell anyone about this and just take the win given to him.

Meri was staying up that night as well, earlier that morning Iris wasn’t looking where she was going while holding a soda and accidentally spilled it all over Meri. Iris apologized profusely, tried to help her clean up, then ran away in embarrassment. Meri knew that Iris was going to agonize over this even if she herself had already forgiven Iris. As such she was making a little arm bracelet of flowers for Iris to show her she forgave her. 

However soon Meri heard a creaking at her closet door, she smiled as she knew who it was. Soon a monster came out, it was a bull like monster with two hind bull legs but human-like arms. His entire body was covered in black fur, and he would normally seem like a hulking monster. However, in Meri’s eyes he was a good friend, and he showed it with his gentle and loving smile. 

“Hello again Meri.”

“Hello uncle Marco.” Meri patted the side of her bed and Marco sat on it as gently as he could knowing he could break it otherwise. The two had actually become good freinds a while back after their first encounter. Marco at first thought she was a monster child kidnapped by the humans, leaving Meri to explain she was in fact a native of this world. Since then Marco only came to Meri's room to talk with her and be a friend and in return Meri would scream to help him keep fill the canister. Right now thought Marco was focused on what was in Meri's hands.

“That’s lovely, what is that?”

“It's supposed to be an arm bracelet for Iris. I’m making it for her so she can calm down. She had a very bad day this morning.”

“Oh? A lovely gift for a lovely little Iris?” Meri blushed while Marco chuckled a little. It didn't take him long to figure out that Meri had a crush on Iris considering she talked about her often and it always made her happy to do so.

“Ha… Listen Meri I came to let you know ahead of time I won’t be able to visit you anymore soon.” Meri was shocked by this and looked up at Marco in confusion.

“You're getting older Meri, and monsters only scare children of a certain age, after that they just… move on while the kids grow up. As the cogs of the machine go.”

“I… I see.” Marco looked down to Meri. She was working on the arm bracelet again, Marco could tell she was upset but trying to hide it. If he ever had to assume there as a flaw to Meri it was that too often, she was more comfortably admitting defeat than achieving victory, especially regarding her feelings. 

“Ha… which is why I wanted to ask you one last time. Do you want to come to my world?” Meri then looked up at Marco in confusion again.

“I know you have friends here, but you said it yourself this Foundation or whatever it is will never let you truly be free. But in my world, you’ll be just another monster, a free bird ready to be whoever and whatever you want to be! No more hiding, no more hurting, just freedom and joy. That’s all I want for you Meri. And I think the lord knows you deserve it.” Marco then lightly poked at Meri’s rosary still on her neck. Marco wasn’t religious but he knew Meri was and saw no reason to not respect her faith. Meri smiled as she held her rosary to her view, it was true in this world she would never be regarded as fully human because of her horn, her legs, or her anomalous abilities. But at the same time, she knew that maybe someone like her could be accepted in the monster world the others wouldn’t and she couldn’t bear to leave them, especially not Iris. Meri then smiled at Marco and gently placed her hand over his.

“Thank you, Uncle Marco, but I have people who need me here, and if I’m being honest… I need them too. So, I can’t leave. I’ll stay here and bear any burden the lord puts my way.” Marco sighed but smiled gently as he couldn’t deny that Meri was one of the bravest girls he knew both among monsters and humans. 

“Very well Meri, I hope that you find happiness no matter what you do. And the courage to confront your feelings… especially regarding Iris.” Meri looked down in embarrassment as she blushed leaving Marco chuckling.

“Ah, well it's about time for me to go for today. Hey, wanna help me keep the lights on?” Meri smiled again and suddenly she screamed as loud as she could while Marco covered his ears. They both laughed and waved each other goodbye, Meri then looked back at the gift she was making for Iris and blushed as she held it close to her chest. She then decided she’ll finish it in the morning as she went to sleep.

 Cidney had her eyes closed while lying on her bed; though to be honest, Cidney couldn’t really sleep due to her augmentations. She wasn’t really sure how to feel about it as she didn’t really remember what it was like to sleep anyways. However Dr. Wicked did promise her that he was working on a procedure that would not only upgrade her body so she could speak and even eat again. She might even be able to sleep again as well, so she was kinda excited for that thought she was also worried that it might hurt. 

However her train of thought was interrupted as she noticed the noise of something large skittering around her containment room. She quickly sat up and saw nothing, though suddenly a monster jumped out and roared at her while waving its insect-like appendages. Cidney was a little scared but after seeing scarier monsters she didn’t think it was that scary at all. Instead it looked in her eyes more like someone wearing a costume so not only could she not scream she simply didn’t feel scared enough to do so. Instead she just waved at the monster. 

However, in the monster's eyes upon seeing her augmentations he was instantly afraid and started screaming himself. He thought that maybe she was a human infected with a new type of disease and thus even more hazardous than the average child. He quickly ran back into her closet and into his own world. Cidney was left confused but then shrugged as she figured it was one of those Joke anomalies Corvio told her about and just went back to pretending to sleep.

SCP: Standard Cooking Protocols

As part of the new Enrichment Protocols, I'm tasked with giving a cooking lesson to 053, Evie. Today's lesson: Papa Snow's Anomalously Delicious Chocolate Chunk Cookies. Since my favorite niece can barely see the counter, never mind work an oven, she's sitting on a stool handing the premeasured ingredients to me.

It's early afternoon, and the first activity in the new division is underway. Evie wanted to know how my dad taught me to bake her favorite cookies, so I'm showing her. We're in the staff breakroom kitchen, both in lemon print aprons. I tied Evie's hair back in pigtails, no one likes hair in their cookies, least of all our big cranky reptile buddy. Once I pin my hair into a messy bun, we get to work. I've measured out all the stuff from flour to vanilla, in the exact amounts, most of it in plastic bags except the eggs.

"Okay, first we need the sugar and the butter. Add a splash of vanilla, and I'll whip the whole thing up. That's step one."

"Why the sugar and butter first?" Evie asks as I add the sweet powder to the dairy component. As I blend it, I explain.

"By mixing the so-called wet stuff first, we can get it more evenly mixed. Pretty sure not everybody is into big hunks of butter in their cookie dough." Once I'm satisfied, I move to the next part. Evie passes the eggs and vanilla, and I pour the brown liquid in.

"The trick to not getting shell in the bowl is just crack them gently on a flat surface, then bend back the shell." I show her Dad's method. No shell, no problem! In they go, a-one, a-two, then more mixing.

"Can you eat eggshells?"

"You can, but I think they're a bit too crunchy to catch on as a snack." I check the recipe. Ah, the dry phase can begin.

"Flour, please." Evie hand over the largest sack, I snip off a corner with scissors and use the open tip to funnel the flour in. It's an advantage to premeasuring, even if doing it is a pain in the buns. Even so, there's still a bit of stray flour before I'm done. The rest of the powdery stuff goes in next, baking soda and a tiny bit of salt.

"Why add the salt?"

"It brings out the sweet in the cookie, makes it taste better. This stuff was once so valuable the Romans used it to pay the army. That was before refrigeration was a big thing, and there wasn't ice around. It preserves food too. Just don't go eating a lot of salted meat without water, it dries your mouth out a little too much." I turn to my eager assistant. "I've been doing all the work here, wanna dump in the chocolate chunks for me? Just pull the top open, and let them rip." Evie pours in the chunks, I start stirring again. As I do, I ask her a question.

"So, Most Trusted and Best Baker's Helper Ever, what do we do with all these cookies once they're baked and cool?"

"We eat some, silly!"

"We eat all these, we'll be sick. Maybe one or two for right now, then we box the rest up to share with Mr. Lizard later, during storytime? I'm sure the big guy likes a good cookie too."

"Well, there is a lot of them. Maybe someone else needs a cookie too. Ooh! 999! He loves cookies. Why don't we save him some?"

"Great idea, Evie. Wanna hear a secret? I heard one of our new hires, Dr. Miller hasn't had a cookie in a while. I'll take her some on my way to see some of the Keters. I do have to drop off a dozen to 682, after all." I look at the bowl, yep. We have achieved dough. Time to bake. This is the part Evie shouldn't be too involved with as a kid, that oven is hot. So, time for a visit to Nook's Cranny while Auntie Rabbit finishes the job and tidies up.

"Okay, break time, Evie. It's going to be a while before the final product, so why not check out your village? I have the game set, have fun. Say hi to Bob for me."

She starts playing my DS while I handle the rest. Before long, everything is done, including the dishes. Evie looks up.

"All done so soon?"

"Yep. I learned to clean up as I go, leaves more time for fun that way. The cookies are almost ready to be packed up. But... there's the final step. This is the most important part, okay? So, total honestly here. Are you ready for the final test?"

"What is it?"

"We each eat one, and say if it's tasty or not. This was the part Dad told me was both the best and hardest, judging what you made. Ready? Here comes phase one test. Evie, start your chompers!" She giggles as I hand her a fresh cookie. She takes her first bite, and that huge smile tells me we have succeeded. As she's devouring the test sample, a familiar orange gelatinous mound of glee wobbles in, lured by the scent of fresh cookies.

"Hey, 999? Mind running an unauthorized test for us?" I hand him a cookie, placing it on his top. It sinks in, he chirps in happiness. "Okay, test successful. We have made some very good cookies." We box up most of the rest to be shared, but we all take just one more cookie each.

He's softie . Giant softie . All the time people didn't want to be around him . He had only Lexie . One of his family member . And Jay ... He didn't see him for sooooo long time .(He's in Site 19 and 049-j is in Site 17). He will be really gentle with you . And will listen to any problem you have and even try to make you happy and stop being insecure about it .

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He LOVES hugs . No matter what ... he won't hurt you . You want hug ? Get ready for long hug in your life . If you want to go in any room in home . You will be just like this :

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Very soon . When you start dating expect to hear it next day . What's the pint of waiting to say it ? If he gets a chance , he will do what he needs to .

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

Oh god . If someone is flirting with you and making you uncomfortable ... He will 'talk' with that person . And then lead him/her away from you aaaaaaannnnnnddddd ... You will never see them again . NEVER EVER AGAIN .

Welp : they are soft and sweet . He likes to ... let you know that you're loved . No matter what situation is .

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Well . He's good father . Cause he's like ... from 16th century . And he lives with Lexie ... Uhhhhh ... 5 centuries . And he's good with other kids . It's not the first time he see other kids . He saw Abbie , Stella , Victoria , Evolution and Sigurrós (Abbie - 053 , Stella - 134 , Victoria - 191 , Evolution - 040 , Sigurrós - 239 . Welp 040's real name for me is unknown so I named her : Evolution .)

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

He can wake up early to cure new patients . And he will leave note so you won't panic (WHERE THE F- DID HE GO- Ohhhh . He left a note- ) Or Lexie say to you that Doc left for curing people .

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Ohhhhh . He will read Lexie a book (Maybe you will sit there listening to him). Then she fell asleep he will just cuddle with you . He don't care .

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Well he need sometime for telling his secrets . And he needed 2 days for telling his name . And some of his past .

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Not easily angered . And don't want to hurt you ... So he just leave home for a walk so he won't accidently hurt you .

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remember everything you said . EVERY SINGLE little detail you mentioned to him .

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

First kiss . It's his favorite moment and he loves that you met Lexie and she liked you ! Happy Doc .

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He's extremely protective . Someone hurt you ? Don't worry he will deal with them . And you won't see them anymore !

He almost every time write in his diary or read books . It was thig that he did before foundation captured him . And even Foundation don't know about Lexie . Cause he know what Foundation staff can start doing . EXPERIMENTS...

Hurting other people . (I think in his mind he DO NOT kill or hurt people . In his mind he help people . He CURE them from pestilence . Disease that he can only see/feel .) He don't understand why people say that he's a murderer . He helps them !

Hug you before you two are going to bed . No really . Nothing can stop him from doing it . Even if you already asleep . He will hug you and wish you a goodnight .

Shout out to @olivaraofrph​ for inspiring and helping compile this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 100+ Iroquois faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. The Iroquois are a historically powerful Northeast Confederacy, existing in precolonial Native America to present. The Iroquois are not one tribe but compose of what are referred to as the 'Six Nations', who share a similar culture and language: the Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.

Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! RAAF receives four new F-35A Lightning II aircraft

With the new additions, the number of aircraft in the existing RAAF fleet increased to 54.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) received four new F-35A Lightning II fighters to increase the country's combat capacity.

The aircraft arrived at Williamtown RAAF Base in New South Wales, Australia, and were assigned to RAAF Squadron No. 77, controlled by Air Combat Group Wing No. 81.

The new additions increase RAAF's existing fleet to 54. The service had planned to acquire a total of 72 F-35s.

The commander of the wing of the squadron commander No. 77 of the RAAF, Tim Ireland, said: "These new jets represent a 10% increase in training and combat capacity for our growing F-35A combat wing."

The F-35As began their journey from the U.S. Air Force's (AFB) Luke Air Base in Arizona. On their way to Australia, the aircraft made transpacific stops at Hickam Air Base in Hawaii and Andersen Air Base in Guam, USA.

During this journey, the aircraft were supported by the assets of the Air Mobility Group, including a C-17A Globemaster of Squadron No. 36 and a multifunctional transport aircraft KC-30A of Squadron No. 33.

In addition, the four jets were also transported through the Pacific Ocean, within the Lightning Ferry 22-3 exercise.

This participation was part of this year's third delivery task of the F-35A aircraft.

Ireland added: "All transfers are complex events that require synchronization and flexibility of the entire Air Combat Group, Air Mobility Group, Air Combat Systems program office, Aerospace Combat Systems branch and Air Operations Center.

"These four aircraft represent a quarter of the capacity of a fighter squadron. Australia now has three quarters of its F-35As at home."

the wrong confidant ( 00 / 01 )

just when she thought they might be on he side of things, surprise, they’ve been telling catherine everything! maybe they grew tired of effie’s constant need to compare everything sshe does to her sister or maybe they realized catherine isn’t all as bad as she has claimed her sister to be. maybe they just want to spite effie. this can also go along with the idea of fake friends who are very superficial and knowing euphemia, she’d easily befriend someone if it meant they’d make her look favorable or give her connections that will benefit her in the future. this could also have more of a backstory potentially with the two never having gotten along all that well before to begin with. lots to explore.

a prince euphemia acquires feelings for that she doesn’t want to because he isn’t a crown. it’s shallow really, but effie wants to be out of her sister’s shadow and damn the consequences or what that might cost her. her track record isn’t exactly stellar when it comes to the match making front but if catherine can do it and pick someone that she literally made history with already, why can’t she? and if she can use them for something that would be to her advantage, why not.

. . . for euphemia. this would be a crown prince she has set her sights on and for all the wrong reasons, he’d give her a chance to step out of her sisters shadows. personality is the last thing effie is concerned about at this point, just the title he’d be able to give her and the image they’d be able to manufacture. now this prince could have absolutely zero interest in euphemia she’s just determined and blinded herself to the idea that someone wouldn’t like her or want the same thing she did. now, she had been through this once before and it hadn’t turned out all that well, but high standards, wishful thinking and determination to be better, the best even has her giving it another go.

this would be someone euphemia only recently has realized is the closest friendship she has ever had with someone. they don’t compare her to her sister, they don’t fault her shortcomings and effie doesn’t focus on the image of the friendship and what it does for her over the actual friendship, rare indeed. they might even be each other’s best supporters for what the other wants.

euphemia has a goal she can’t accomplish on her own, they do too. the protests that started early november in scotland after the birth of catherine’s child had been what sparked this sinister idea, but if effie can use it to her advantage, why not? but she needs help. gambling her future on a crown prince will prove to be too risky and with the tools right in front of her it’s alwawys good to have a backup plan. so, exploit the protests, gain the full support of scotland and dethrone the crown, easier said than done and how to go about it without being so suspicious? catherine will surely find out — that is where this person comes in. whatever they need effie to help with, she’ll do it so long as they help her. turn a few against catherine in the programme and have other royals question her alliance to her own country even. she’s swedish now after all, isn’t she?  * lbr, this is gonna be a big fail but the consequences, fun.

given how wendy wears her heart on her sleeve and falls in love easily, she has been the subject of many a public heartbreak. it seems like each one became messier than the last and this last one was pretty messy. tears. arguments. the works. like all the rest the breakup was public and caught on camera for all to see and trended on twitter for a day in addition to an extra few days for each country involved. there were even some videos that had language translations and wendy did become a meme, something she isn’t thrilled about to this day.   * exes in general would be a wanted connection too! ( 00 / 04 )

“ don’t you dare ” ( 01 / 01 )

the person who convinced wendy not to publish an article about them. it could be a negative or positive thing with this. maybe they didn’t want their name attached to whatever situation it was or it’s possible wendy was so involved in getting the facts and details that she didn’t take a step back to see what it had become — or that publishing such an article would have ramifications not yet known to her. if it’s the latter then this could have been a pivotal point that saved her journalism career from being seen as lacking all credibility. how they went about convincing her can also be positive or negative.

she’s nosey. that’s not a secret when it comes to wendy and because of it she often gets herself in trouble, so why not add a few people who she drags along to help dig up some news or discover something they weren’t supposed to which of course means trouble for all involved. this can even extend to just a tight-knit group of friends who end up getting caught up in some of wendy’s curiosity.  

childhood friends ( 00 / 01 )

someone she grew up with who witnessed all the good, bad and awkward. a country with close ties to luxembourg would be preferred for this. just a friendship that was in its prime during those early years when they would play pretend and wendy would often play reporter, even if it didn’t make any sense. play pretend fairies? sure, but she was a fairy reporter. they could have kept in touch throughout the years but time and space created a distance that being in the program has only now begun to mend.

as close to an arch nemesis as wendy is going to get, apart from the french, this is someone who knowingly sends her leads that go nowhere or distract when she is close to discovering something. their reasoning could be petty or it could be because wendy did something to them or maybe they have just never gotten along and clashed right from the beginning due to opposing personalities. 

tape recorder ( 00 / 01 )

wendy’s tape recorder, she wouldn’t go anywhere without it . . . only she did. she left it on record somewhere and it picked up some interesting information that no one else was supposed to hear, but she has and the people and countries in question don’t know, for now. what happens if they find out she knows? what was it she wasn’t supposed to hear? did she just walk into something she shouldn’t have? this can go so many ways but ideally would be something to do with a country talking about maybe invading another or something along those lines.

In the AU, they'd be called LWA's, and kept in containment under the L.W.A. Foundation! Which stands for Lock. Watch. Accommodate.! And when talking about the LWA's themselves, they would stand for Lockdown. Walkthrough. Actions.! I know, I don't know what the hell is going on with me either!
