The book shows how a finite number of elements whose combinations are multiplied in a billion: thus a pack of tarot could throw up any number of tales, but then we have how do we tell the stories, is it through the words of the narrator or the pictures on the cards how do we decide where to go when the same card with a different number appears in different stories.

Credo che i poeti siano strumenti su cui gioca il potere della poesia. Ma sono anche fabbricanti, artigiani: è dato al vedente di vedere, ma è quindi sua responsabilità comunicare ciò che vede, che quelli che non possono vedere possono vedere, dal momento che siamo "membri l'uno dell'altro". [...] Credo che il contenuto determini la forma, eppure quel contenuto viene scoperto solo nella forma. Come tutto ciò che vive, è un mistero. La rivelazione della forma stessa può essere una gioia profonda; tuttavia penso che la forma come mezzo non debba mai ostruire, sia per intenzione che per negligenza, tra il lettore e la forza essenziale della poesia, deve essere così focalizzata su quella forza.
