Even though Pollination is my favorite RWBY ship next to Nuts and Dolts, I still think that even if Pollination isn't a thing Team RWBY wouldn't spit up and just...not talk to each other like they do in some fanfics I've read.

They care for each other so much by the end of Volume 3 that even if the Fall of Beacon didn't happen, I cannot imagine them completely splitting off to do their own things after graduation or whatever.

After the Fall of Beacon, it's so clear how much Yang cares for her team. Her yearning for Blake, and she immediately goes to find Ruby once she's able to. And when she meets Weiss again, their hug and the way they talk to each other! Rewatching it made me want to cry.

Blake is running because she doesn't want to get her team hurt anymore because she cares for all of them and just aghh. She tries to make it up to Yang and mend their relationship because they're super gay for each other but haven't said anything. And in little moments, she takes care of Ruby or Weiss, too!

Weiss running away from Atlas to find Ruby, Yang, and Blake again because she doesn't have anything holding her back from them anymore. And once again, her reunion with Yang and then Ruby. She wants to go to her team because they feel more like her family than her actual family does!

And finally, Ruby. She cares so much for her friends, going after Cinder because of what she did to Pyrrha. Her thinking of her team whenever she uses her Silver Eyes because when she thinks of preserving life, she thinks of them!

They all care for each other so muchhhhh! I don't see how they would grow apart after fighting together and caring for each other for so long.

Examples of Manuscripts from Timbuktu's Archives

I talked a lot about Timbuktu's literary tradition but didn't show many examples, so here's a selected sample of some of the ones I find fascinating, I haven't combed through all 30,000 available ones and likely never will but I'm still satisfied with whats on here.

An illuminated manuscript dealing with the 6 pillars of the Islamic Faith, written by a local scholar in Mali around 1690-1691.

A copy of the Dala'il al-Khayrat, a collection of sayings of the prophet, illuminated in 1855.

Decoration from another copy of the Dala'il a-Khayrat, showing the traditional motifs of Timbuktu manuscripts, usually taken from textile designs local to the area such as bogolafini in Mali.

A 19th century collection of poems, with every page heavily annotated by a scholar in Ajami script of their local language. The large margins in texts from the time from Europe to Africa were specifically intended for scholars to take notes on.

Poems by Nigerian scholar Usman dan Fodio from the 1790s. After studying in Timbuktu, he founded and led the Sokoto Caliphate in the late 18th-early 19th centuries which produced some of the greatest West African female scholars and Fulani literature.

I believe the archive I'm using for the Nigerian manuscript above mostly took the Nigerian collection from one copyist from the 1950s hence the lined paper and same handwriting across hundreds of books in ballpoint pens.
