I’ve been so bad about Gaeilge lately and I think, besides Covid and the tornado and my mental health being obstacles in my trying to learn things, I struggle to learn things alone. Living rurally its like impossible to meet with others. I got one friend who’s very interested in learning/is getting good at Scottish Gaelic and I wanna hang with her so bad but she’s pretty far away. I also am struggling to really organize all my resources (I’ve got plenty of online resources in addition to DL app) for what I’d like to learn, and I think I gotta just jump back in regardless of my fears of accidentally mixing up Connacht with West Ulster dialects. I wanna learn WU dialect but the Connacht is what I end up seeing lessons for.

I really need to get a hold on the grammar, structures etc over just learning phrases and sentences, and I probably should just learn from all the Connacht resources for that, and worry about dialect choice later, right?

Idk but I’ve been stumped and unsure and isolated lol I was bad at English grammar in school so learning a whole other language will be a feat for me (“US” public schools are so bad y’all)
