Welcome to Team Fortress 2.5
Hello there,
It's your lucky day! It's me, Saxton Hale!
I'm looking for some crazy kooks to come and fight at my Mercenary Park. Those other mercenaries got stuck with new jobs, so while they're away, I need others to come and take their places. That could be you!
Just fill this little form out, mail it back, and Mr. Bidwell will approve your position as soon as he can! I'm too busy punching bears in the forest.
If you're accepted, we'll have you shipped out to Mercenary Park with all your belongings and give you a complimentary copy of "Saxton Hale's Jungle Brawl" comic! That one's on me!
If not, maybe next time. You'll never know when I'll be needing crazy people to fight in my park.
My regards,
Saxton Hale
(More below)
Hello, everyone.
This is a fun project I was thinking about back on this post on my main blog. I decided to put it in action with this new blog just to keep things organized. But, I can't do this alone, which is where you can come in.
If you join, you'll submit your OC to my main blog @darrowfire15 and we'll all work together to create a story that fits into the TF2 canon (or whatever is solid canon). If you have any questions about the document, feel free to dm me.
The base of the story itself would take place around 1974/1975 and take place in Mercenary Park.
To submit your OC for this project, please DM me with a copy of the filled out document so I can log which OC belongs to which blog. Your OC can be any gender; male, female, genderless, we aren't going to discriminate.
Once your OC is approved, you'll get to make an introduction post for them on this blog! It'll be similar to those character introductions on the official TF2 website; a little written profile about your character with a fully rendered picture. The introductory posts will be linked to the name on the line-up below.
My only rule with OCs is that they are completely original, meaning they aren't made from the current TF2 mercs as bases. Those types of OCs are still valid OCs, just not what I am looking for with this project.
As of 10/11/2024, this is the OC line-up.

Once all of the spaces are taken, we will not accept anymore submissions. I will enjoy reading through each document and learning about your OC!

Meet The Mortician
[TF2.5]
The man in frame stops what he was working on- hunched slightly over an embalming table with what looks like a weasel. Is... why are there bat wings and a finger in that tray there-? "Hello? What is- oh. Alright then. Is this a coms thing or-"
"No, it's a computer. You're a smart man, you know what a computer is."
He rolls his eyes and turns away from the table. "Yes, I know I know- It's hard to tell sometimes with all this absurd technology you have here- I mean a building that heals because you're standing near it?"
"It's all very strange, we understand that Mr. Alighieri. Please just offer some basic information about yourself and we can get back to our respective jobs here."
"You've done part of it for me."
"I have."
"...can that be it?"
"It cannot."
The Mortician sighs. As he speaks, the video has interrupting splicings, "I don't imagine they all need to know my full name, so that will be all of that if it's all the same to ya. I'm a Scotsman in my 40s, I specialise in death preparations (there is a cut to a hearse with a European license plate being driven poorly down a long road and the sound of a siren in the distance) though that does come with some anatomical know-how. So. I am operating as a sort of medic, but not to worry. Any experiments I do will be on persons long deceased- usually (a clip of a shelf of wet specimens and a mounted eel blinks once at the viewer). I am very good at what I do, but there are times when it's just very hard to say for sure-"
"I don't think Mr. Reddy would agree with that-"
"Accidents happen! I've patched him up for it, haven't I?"
"...more or less."
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
"You seem awfully curious about my role here, sounds a bit like ya wouldn't mind seeing it first-hand?"
"No, why would I-"
He's fine, don't worry about it 8:^)
Thought I'd throw my own TF2 create-a-class out there.
Mortician and mun are over 18, but this blog wont get into any risque territory. Mortician isn't particularly interested in all of that anyway.
This blog will contain medical, funerary elements, gore, taxidermy, and really stupid but inoffensive boomer memes from time to time, so please be wary of that if those things make you uncomfortable or squeamish. These topics will be tagged normally alongside the gimmick sorting tags below.
Other tags to decipher:
#from the morgue -> funerary/mortuary/medical
#rogue taxidermy -> taxidermy (wet/dry specimens, pinning, etc)
#canis -> dog posting lol
#Abel -> anything that correlates more towards his BLU counterpart
Voice Claim: Matt Johnston of The Narcissist Cookbook

The Hunter

Location of Origin: U.K.'s London countryside
Role: Support
The Hunter is a jovial Brit with a hidden name and a past unknown even to her employers. At only nineteen years old, she's proved herself quite an expert at her job, a slippery opponent that uses her small stature to her benefit on the battlefield, adapting with a versatile arsenal of traps and incredible dexterity. An individual of remarkable intelligence, her calculated mind is often concealed under her manic and eccentric personality. The Hunter is a wolf in sheep's clothing through and through.

The Trapper
Location of Origin: Boreal Forest of Saskatchewan, Canada
Role: Defense
Hailing from the dense boreal forests of Canada, this man is not what he seems. Watching and waiting are the Trapper's expertise - he uses his background in trapping and hunting to his advantage and track down his enemies to then either strike them down or let his team finish the job. Beware his friendly smile - it might be the last thing you see.

The Ranger

Location of Origin: Unknown
Role: Support
Raised by a pack of wolves in the depths of the forests of God-knows-where, the Ranger makes up for what he lacks in social skills, distaste for Mann Co.'s top-of-the-market assigned weapons and general temper control with an incredible bond with animals. Don't mistake him for a petsitter, though, as he is as likely to take care of whatever you bring him as he is to feed it to his many pets.

The Chemist

Location of Origin: Heppenheim, Germany
Role: Offense
An intense fascination with chemical compounds at a young age paved the way for the Chemist to graduate top of his class. However, after killing at least 20 innocent people in his hometown, he had to go into hiding from the authorities. Some believe that the fumes from his work caused him to go mad, but no one truly knows. The only thing that seems to keep him sane is his pet cat.

The Blacksmith
Location of Origin: Batagassu, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil
Role: Defense
Ever since he was born, Blacksmith was passionate about smithing. He started out by swaging and then moved on to foraging whatever he likes, doing it day in and day out with almost no breaks. His closest friends and family suggested the moment he went insane when he managed to pour copper into a termite mound and dig the casted blob out in one piece. He isn’t insane, he just loves it. And before they knew it, The Blacksmith was on the field turning people’s insides into hot mush! Sadly, he thinks, the cooled cast will not be as perfect as he wanted it to be...

The Mortician
Location of Origin: Isle of Arran, Scotland
Role: Support
Growing up in the countryside raised by eccentric parents, Mortician was able to learn everything there was about maths, language, rogue taxidermy, and human anatomy. Understandably, after following the bizarre funerary requests of his parents involving two of those four subjects, he was pretty open to travelling literally anywhere else. Luckily, an old family friend seemed to be looking for morally grey professionals with unique skill-sets, and he was all too happy to throw his formaldehyde soaked gloves in the ring.
