I like to think that in the early days of peace times (should I make a peace au?) they had a really hard time talking to each other face to face.

But one night, one of them just decided to call on the other and just…talk. Because they may not admit it (yet) but their conversations were one of the things they did miss, and even when they talked face to face, it felt like the other was just too far away. But the calls seemed to close the distance, like the person they once knew was right beside them and the voice belonged to the person they were before.

Eventually they settle on some sort of unspoken rule, that the way they speak to each other differs in public and private. But for now, they try to pretend that the person on the other end of the line was still the one they loved before.

This will obviously lead to an argument which basically goes like “neither of them can change the things they’ve done, the echoes of the past just doesn’t quiet down despite the distance and I know we’ll be hearing it for a long time. But the way you spoke to me felt like maybe there’s still something of what we left behind, that maybe the voice of who you are now can be something I get to hear for the rest of my life” or something idk

Orion pax the archiveist (in most canons) is opinionated, shy, naive, kinda awkward, wants to learn/know more about the outside world but the people in his life for one reason or another stop him, either to keep him out of trouble or cuz they don't want him to learn about the outside. Boom that's the Disney Princess right there!

Megatron or Megatronus (in most canons) is a revolutionary freedom fighter from a rough upbringing, a poet, a miner, and wants to change the world and stop unjust oppression of his peers. (Also apparently hot af cuz sooo many bots have a thing for this man). Disney Prince

In IDW and the tfp novels orion is drawn to megatron cuz he gives him a place to talk and be listened to. To be himself and also explore the world outside of Iacon. Orion's head over heels for the one person who treats him like his opinion matters. While Megatron makes fun of orion for being naive he still cares deeply about him and is so happy to finally have someone to talk and debate about his ideas, to have someone sees him as more then a mercilessly bloodthirsty fighter.
