SO I'VE JUST WATCHED THIS AND I AM GOING TO GIVE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT EVERY LITTLE THING

First of all, here's the synopsis.

We got a lot of details here !! Tube's Tube. I don't really understand why, but it sounds funny. 12M viens and 12,000,000 likes. Why 12 ? Is it a hint towards à 12th game ? There are currently 11 Ace Attorney games. This vidéo recaps pretty much everything (except the prof Layton crossover...), so it MIGHT point towards a new game :). On the right of "Likes" and "Share" there is "DL|6" :). We cannot see how many subscribers Nick has, but since the video has lots of likes, I think it's safe to assume that he has a good amount of subscribers and that he is possibly a youtuber (in this version of the AA universe at least). On the right we can see 3 other videos : MUST WATCH - Top 3 Bedtime Picture Books by Laurice Deauxnim-Scented Adventures with 3.8K views uploaded 2 weeks ago. We don't know when Nick's video was uploaded (most likely more recently than two weeks) but maybe Larry is a more successful youtuber than Nick ?? Also, I'm pretty sure that Franzy's Whippity-Whip Trip is in this video :). Then we have Her Benevolence dances the Panic Dance by Kingdom of Kura'in Embassy with 3.15M likes and uploaded 1 (idk) ago. Idk who this character is so uh, idk what to say. But "Panic Dance" sounds fun heh. Then we have No Objections Judge's gourmet courthouse specials by His Honor Eats with 2 views uploaded 21 years ago. Poor old Judge :(. Also, Capcom is plastered everywhere. I mean, this video is part of marketing so of course.

ALSO ! Turns out that ERIC VALE did Phoenix's voice. ERIC VALE the anime voice actor !!! Thatcis so cool. I didn't recongize Edgeworth's VA (cuz i've only watched the first anime episode + the bloopers) so... idk do your own research I don't care that much honestly. How about the "Objection!" Voiceline actors tho. Who are they. They're the closest to their official voice actors.

Anyways, tl;dr : this is a recap of all of Ace Attorney (minus the Layton crossover) + Ghost Trick. There is the number 12 at the beginning and Ghost Trick is mentionned, so my theory is that they're planning a 12th game which is a Ghost Trick crossover :)

susato really is yujin's daughter... in that she is Leaving Situations.

she is ABSOLUTELY NOT going to have a conversation about feelings. no more of ryuu's mushy stuff. NO CRYING.

two things are going on here, the first of which is obvious - she doesn't want to leave, she and ryuu just got started building a law practice and they've become close partners very quickly, and ryuu's tendency toward extremely earnest emotional displays is gonna make it harder to leave than it already is.

second thing, i don't think she can stand hearing one more word of praise out of him knowing that she messed up the crime scene and has hidden it from him. if you compare this with other main characters messing up crime scenes - even barok, king of self-flagellation, picking up the dang gun when he should've known better - she's taking this much harder and being very harsh on herself.

but also, she's not the defendant. it's gina's life in the balance, and susato won't be here to even help protect her. what susato did makes total sense - if someone needed help (and wasn't dead yet) in the back room she might have even saved a life - but that's not what happened. and she chose to not to tell, which she knows might make the investigation harder.

i don't think she has brutally low self-esteem or anything, but i do think she has that perfectionist tendency to think she should've known exactly what was going to happen and exactly what she should do, even in an extremely high-stress situation, which is why she couldn't bring herself to fess up. and the not fessing up is an actual thing to be ashamed of, where her initial action reeeally wasn't.

On the Surface, it seems they were trying to make him mysterious and a character that you’d want to explore.

But it just doesn’t come out that way.

He’s just an uninteresting asshole.

Barok IS an interesting character imo tho and has a Good character arc but we only get it in the, like…last 80% of the SECOND game!!

Barok never even really came off as mysterious anyways. He really only ever seemed like a racist bitch. And even when he had nicer moments that kinda hinted at his kinder nature, it was 1) toward anyone other than Ryuno and 2) IMMEDIATELY overshadowed by his intense prejudices and 3) happened like once or twice

For TGAA being a game that’s majority a set up, they didn’t set HIM up that well. I reallyyyy wish they sprinkled in his character arc better :((( or at all really bc he rarely shows up in the game.

Which I think is the main issue. He barely appears so we don’t get much of anything. Which makes sense bc TGAA 1 is set up.

I feel like I’m gonna just start saying the same things over again but that’s basically my point.

Barok is an interesting character worth liking but they saved all that till last minute which is completely unfair to him >:[[[[[

⚠️ big TGAA 2 spoilers under the cut!! ⚠️

i honestly believe that TGAA 2 contains one of the most horrifying things ive ever read in an AA game...

...that being the fact that gregson's corpse was in that trunk the day we met jigoku and mikotoba.

ace attorney has a lot of dark and disturbing subject matter, but this one just really got to me. like, i had an intense reaction of complete disgust and shock to the revelation.

i think a lot of it just has to do with the fact that gregson was a beloved side character that had been with us since the beginning. i was devastated when he was murdered.

along with that, i really did trust jigoku. i loved him a lot since his first appearance outside of court.

upon finding out that the body of gregson was hidden in plain sight by a man that we thought we could trust (and who also ended up murdering gregson himself)... it honestly made me feel a bit sick. looking back at the scene of welcoming jigoku and mikotoba at the hotel feels so sinister now. seeing that trunk just sitting right there...

TGAA visualization abilities headcanons

So, y'all know thing called aphantasia? Discovering it really made me think about the abilities of tgaa cast in how detailed can they imagine things. Like, actual pictures of objects. Aka the ability to imagine colour, shading, lightning, space. Hell, even the ability to spin it or something! (Which, as I understood, some people can't do at all)

Here's some of my headcanons (POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD):

RYUNOSUKE, Susato, Iris, Klint, Lady B, Maria Gorey : Vivid, detailed imagination. At any point in time they can imagine a realistic cow spinning horizontally, and the cops can't stop them. And while some use this ability for inventing purposes, visualising how the finished product could work (Iris), others sometimes suffer from being squeamish and a scaredy cat in a sense (Ryunosuke). I mean, being able and sometimes not controlling what picture you see in your head could lead to thinking of less than savoury, spooky things. Sometimes rich imagination is someone's curse. KAZUMA, Herlock, Mikotoba, GENSHIN, Stronghart: Isn't as detailed and photorealistic as the previous category. Just simple, colored in shapes with basic shading MAYBE is mostly enough for them. Doesn't mean they can't spin a simple looking cow too in their mind- It's all really cut clean, sharp and straight to the point. Being able to see little hairs and blemishes on an imaginary person isn't important to them most of the time, anyway, so you won't catch them moaning about it. It's all about the base shape and movement and that's pretty much it. Ben, Jigoku, Hosonaga, Gina : The poor bastards don't even get the color and shading now. It's either a monochrome image or simple lines. They're not sad about that, per se, because what's enough is enough. The ability to recognize colors is there, so you can count on them to call grass green or sky blue, but coming up with images in their mind proves to look a little less saturated. BAROK, GREGSON: "What do you mean you can just imagine a fucking apple in your head?" A side note - Gregson and Barok having aphantasia isn't a sentence to them in a sense of their type of work. Rather than relying on photographic function of memory (that they lack) they memorize everything as a list of facts. + aphantasia doesn't stop them from recognizing people, suspects included, because they don't have prosopagnosia (difficulty with recognizing faces.)
