But he loves it because that is a title that no one can steal from him. Anyone can be your friend, and god forbid, but anyone can be your lover. But only he is your beother, your gege, your family. Only he has the spot that no one can dig up, that no one can erase. He can allow those flies to buzz around you for a little bit, because none of them will ever be your gege. None of them will be him ❤️

THISSSSS 💯💯 (vid credit to fairbrooke) Because look at how caleb is IMMEDIATELY snapped out of his delusion regarding his fantasies and plans for mc as soon as she reminds him of their familial dynamic... I think about this scene soooo much- his each and every little micro-expression is insane and beautiful, even a little scary because you can only imagine all the hoops he’s jumping through in his mind. Like look at bro’s face a millisecond after she says his name- its full of delight and wonder and unmistakable hope- but then he instantly realizes where she’s going with her words and his whole expression sours. Its like “yeah okay i know im your brother why do you have to keep reminding me?” But then at other times (during myths/audios) he LOVES when she calls him gege/nii-chan… In one particular myth he’s deadass telling mc that it makes him feel happy when she calls him that 😭✨ It perfectly encapsulates their very close, familial, trusting, and irreplaceable bond. sorry for going off on a crazy tangent.. i just loveeee talking about this obsessed delusional downbad KING.

I think one of the reasons too why i like caleb so much is bc the Biblical undertones 😭 i mean i think infold in general likes to use some spiritual symbolism, i mean u have sylus’s dragon/demon myth for crying out loud but like… AGH anyways in another part of the scene above (i think either right before or after?), caleb is spewing all this nonsense about how he wants to whisk mc away to a better place, a paradise, where it’s just her and him— a garden, he literally says: ‘he’ll build her the most beautiful garden she’s ever seen.’ Im truly just yapping atp but I THINK ABOUT IT ALLL THE TIMEEE. Like bro KNOWS he’s already been kicked out of Eden (having taken of the forbidden fruit) but endlessly yearns to go back to that same beautiful place with mc. Except this time… with her as his bride instead of his meimei. Caleb for whatever reason likes to think that he can have his cake and eat it too. Like no big bro u can’t cobble together ur own little paradise after being essentially banned from heaven because u wanted to ROMANCE THE GIRL WHO GREW UP AS UR SISTER 💀
