Okay—maybe you do. A little.

You’d been watching him all day, the way his sleeves bunched around those arms, sweat gleaming in the dips of his muscle, and every time he lifted something—God. You could’ve cried. He knew the way your eyes dragged, how you bit your lip every time he stretched. He’d mutter a, “Quit starin’.” but he never actually told you to stop.

So now you’re sitting on your shared bed, somewhere between wound up and unwell, watching as Daryl peels off his overshirt with a grunt. .

“Can I…” you start, your voice quiet, “Can I use your arm?”

He freezes mid-movement, turns to you slow with one brow raised. “Use it?”

Your cheeks burn. Your thighs clench. “Like. Your bicep. Just for a second. I promise I won’t—uh, never mind.”

Daryl just stares. Blinks. Then his mouth curls into the most sinful half-smirk you’ve ever seen.

“Ain’t never heard that one before,” he mutters, voice thick with disbelief—and maybe curiosity. “Y’wanna rub up on my arm?”

You nod. Quiet. Desperate.

He stared at the floor for a second, breathing slow. Then he sat down on the cot, resting his arm across his lap. Bicep angled up. He didn’t look at you, just mumbled:

“C’mere, then. ‘Fore I change my damn mind.”

You climbed into his lap, straddling his thighs, your panties already damp. He didn’t move, didn’t talk—just tensed his arm a little when your thighs bracketed it. The hard curve of his muscle met your soaked heat perfectly. You whimpered.

“Daryl flinched. “Shit. You really—? Jesus.”

Trying to get into the habit of posting more often, so have these headcanons. A Bit short but I hope you enjoy

Yoichi Isagi

-Somehow the worst one on this list

-He's likely to give the nastiest glare to whoever you're wasting your time with (of course when you arent looking)

-Post Blue lock Isagi is kinda the same, Just a lot less subtle. curses and maybe a fight or two if its Kaiser. 

"That blonde asshole has no place talking to you, you're mine.."

-Don't be alarmed, he's unlikely to take his jealously out on you

-Unless you're teasing him on purpose, then he might get a bit agitated with you

- "My dear, I'm not too fond of how you let him touch you just then, please stop that."

 

-He's a two way street, either a sweetheart who tries to dodge around it or a straight maniac who will plot murdering whoever it is.

    -Nothing to mistake, he isnt brainless, so theres always a chance he wont care

-He's mostly secure in your relationship with him but could use reassurance in times like that

Meguru Bachira 

-Relatively tame for the most part

-If anything, he may get clingier

-He honestly doesnt even acknowledge the person youre talking to at first, he's too invested in you

"Oh, Baby! You busy today? I wanted to try this- hm? Oh, you're talking to someone...? Anyway, its this cool bakery I saw, we should try it!"

-If you aren't giving him your attention, that's when he'd get pouty

-He's a child at heart, naturally he's gonna get upset if you aren't paying him mind, no matter the reason

-How could you leave your boyfriend for some lame hangout? Playing Video games with him is much more important

-Please just stay, he might actually cry if you leave (he wont, but it always gets you because you believe him)

 The most tame on this list, and by a rather large margin too

-This pretty boy knows you'll eventually give him your attention, nothing to worry about

-If anything, he encourages you to allocate your time doing what you want and speaking to who you wish

-That can change if the person is too touchy with you, however

"Pretty sure they asked you to take your hands off, keep them to yourself."

 

-He trusts you entirely, its the people you hang around that can overstep and agitate him 

-Hence why he's almost always hanging out with you, your friends are his friends right? What better way to show them that you're happily taken then to bring your sweet, beautiful redhead with you?

"Going out sweetheart? Mind if i tag along? I mean only if you don't mind."

-Truly a man who knows his worth, but it would help if you told your especially pushy friends to mind their manners when he's around

im gonna bring up the new information we have of bill cipher and also the reverse falls au, so im popping it under a cut for ppl who dont wanna see that. im not too great at expressing my ideas, so if anything is confusing, please ask for clarification. it's entirely on me i promise

OK OK OK, so bill ciphers backstory got revealed. the way it seems to have happened was that his dimension existed on a 2d plane but he had an eye that let him see in 3d, and therefore out his dimension and into the stars. he tried showing them what he was seeing but ended up destroying the universe on accident instead, which drove him into madness.

with the new information we have, its revealed that in therapy bill has been drawing 2 different colored triangles: blue and red. these are his parents, or at least we're pretty much made to assume that.

with the resurgence of gravity falls, ive also been seeing reverse falls coming back, and it got me thinking

now, whos a blue triangle by a different name that we know of?

will cipher, from reverse falls

now listen, will is actually just bill under a different name bc thats how the au works, but with new information, wouldn't it be more interesting if he was actually just bills dad?

will cipher, who was born with an eye that could see out of his dimension, but when the others seemed to think him crazy for it, just kept it to himself

who lived with the knowledge that there was so much more out there, but he was the only one with access to it

who, upon having a wonderful, "normal" son, was so excited to show him the stars that he didn't think about what might happen when he tried

who, upon realizing he just killed his family, along with his whole dimension, falls into grief instead of madness.

will cipher, who gets summoned by a pair of twins and helps them, even when their demands are maybe a bit questionable, because he's determined to keep this family together, and also to try making up for what he's done, even if no one else would know it

or something like that. again, not great at my words lol

obviously, this doesnt have to mean anything, but i just think it would be kinda cool to rewrite the au a little bit with what we know now

i was thinking about how bill draws the blue and red triangles and then started thinking about reverse falls and how there bill is the blue triangle, which means his parents would probably shift colors too, but then i was like "wait what if the colors didnt switch what if the people did". and thats how i came up with this :3

with the upcoming match, sapnap needs to train duhhh and on his first day hes super super confident.

macho sapnap strides into the dteam home gym but dream and george very quickly destroy his confidence and remind him he is not the top dog lmao. 

the gloves give such good indication of where exactly dream needs to grab his wrists - theyre like big red signs screaming ‘look at whats below us look at how small these wrists are in comparison he has no chance!!’ dream might even tease him about the gloves, speaking into his ear from behind ‘oh theres no way my hands would fit in those! theyre far too big, unlike yours’ 

i totally agree with george taking advantage of sapnaps (really sensitive😵‍💫) ribs. its even worse than usual tho bc sapnap cant wriggle off the gloves OR flex his fingers fully to relieve some tension and it makes him feel crazy. 

maybe when he gets out he gets really mad and starts swinging at george. dream laughs while george is like ‘help me dream hes gonna hit me!!!!!’

an actual boxer au where sapnap is in an interview and dnf crash it to be like ‘yeah we’re his bffs that train with him and we have a very interesting routine! it focuses mainly on endurance wink wink’

now… youre telling me a strong scary boxer with one hell of an arm and a mean scowl buckles like a daisy under even the slightest bit of tickling um do you genuinely promise??????!!!!!

sapanp would be so screwed in a pin tho (not manifesting that for the fight😭😭 just like in general) yeah he has reasonable strength and is probably good at movement like dodging and positioning but in a pin he freaks the f out ‘oh my god i cant move this is it for me why is all my strength gone’ and then you add TICKLING??? i think it just might kill him… idk theres really only one way for dream and george to find out 🙈

dream laughs at him and thinks boxing is easy so sapnap challenges him to take his place but when dream does he gets tickled to tears as well… not so easy huh :/

george doesnt go near them for the next few days for fear of tight boxing gloves being shoved over his ‘already pretty useless in a fight’ hands. 

its so funny seeing videos of him where he makes little slaps like a cat as his way of fighting😭 also having been part of the gang up effort on both dream and sapnap he knows the payback is going to be brutal. 

(btw, dont imagine sapnap losing it bc he doesnt know if hes going to have his sides squeezed over his shirt or under his shirt, so he just has to stare at georges hands and wait…)

No bc we all know that sapnap is cocky af always, regardless of if he’s unevenly matched or not, so it’s no surprise when he drags dream and george into the home gym with 100% confidence that he’ll beat both of them easily. But when he’s suddenly cornered by the two of them, he’s scrambling to rip his gloves off so he has an opportunity to at least try and fight back

this only draws attention to them, and dream’s wrapping his hands over the velcro around sapnap’s left wrist before he even realizes what’s happening. dream tugs him roughly, spinning sapnap around and crowding him from behind, and most importantly, grabbing sapnap’s free wrist. now, dream is towering over him from behind, stretching sapnap’s arms into the air and leaning in so his stubble brushes against sapnap’s ears as he teases him about how small he is; about how powerless he is “What are those, kids sized gloves?” “i didnt know they made boxing equipment for toddlers!” “why is your face so red, sap?”. and while dream focuses on making his face warm up to a dangerous degree, the only thing in sapnap’s view is a very giggly george, standing just inches in front of him. he’s suddenly very aware of how tiny he is between them, and sap’s mind blanks at the thought. he swallows thickly and does the only think he can think to do

Sapnap starts begging, pleading, both cursing and proclaiming his love for them at the same time - anything he can think of to get them to back down. But instead george reaches an arm out and pokes into sapnap’s lower ribs on the right, making him jolt into george’s waiting hand on the other side that sapnap hadn’t noticed before. The two laugh along with sapnap’s squeals as he wiggles back and forth between george’s hands, making the pokes a little more harsh each time his hands connect with sap’s body. his hands are balled into fists inside the boxing gloves, tightening at every quick jab into his ribs. But when sapnap tries to flex his fingers to dispel even the tiniest bit of ticklish energy he’s experiencing, he finds that he can’t, and he panics even more through his frantic giggles. George starts to scratch and squeeze at the warm skin under sapnap’s shirt, right along his sides, but only every few times, driving him insane at the idea of not knowing when the tickling is suddenly gonna get so much worse. sap tries to keep his eyes open long enough to watch george’s hands, trying to anticipate the next move, but his lil puffy cheeks get in the way from laughing too hard, and he fails miserably.

At this point, dream and george are teasing him, but sapnap has no idea what they’re saying. Dream has sapnap’s arms lifted so high into the air that he’s basically balancing on the toes of his sneakers, and george is rubbing his knuckles into sapnap’s ribs with a force so hard he thinks he sees god. Eventually, sapnap is kind of just dangling there, laughing deliriously as george so lovingly tears him apart, so dream loops his forearms under sapnap’s biceps, shifting positions and holding him up that way, making it almost easier for george to continue his reign of terror on sapnap’s poor lil ribs ):

By the time they let him go, sapnap’s face is drenched in tears and sweat, his hair is stuck to his forehead, he’s bright red, and he’s mad (well, he pretends he is. In reality, he actually loved every minute of his torture <3). He starts swinging at whoever is closest to him, who happens to be george, and george is cackling, running away from him and hiding behind dream, still egging sapnap on even as dream is holding him back from literally ripping george to shreds.

When sapnap calms down, dream teases him playfully, poking at him and making fun of how “small and pathetic” he looked getting wrecked to pieces in the boxing gloves. So sapnap challenges him to take his place. dream grabs his boxing gloves from one of his long lost hobbies many moons ago and lets sap get into position behind him. Sapnap wraps his arms around dream’s elbows, pulling them closer together so that dream’s arms are pinned behind his back, and successfully pushing out dream’s torso because of their awkward height difference. George doesn’t give him the chance to balance himself.

his hands are immediately under dream’s shirt, skittering over the center of his tummy and making dream stumble back against sapnap, almost bringing the two of them down to the ground. Sapnap repositions them, and in retaliation george starts to lightly pull at the bottom edge of dream’s bellybutton with his pointer finger, keeping his free hand skittering along the lower part of his tummy as he did so. And when george still wasn’t satisfied with the level of desperation in dream’s laughter, he leaned down and started nibbling into the dip of dream’s waist, sending him into hysterics. Apparently the combo proves to be too much for dream, because his knees completely give out, and in less than five minutes, the big scary ler is a crumpled lil mess of giggles and tears on the gym mat floor. He apologizes profusely to sapnap in exchange for mercy <3

now…George is the weakest of them all, and he knows it, so he darts out of the gym immediately after dream falls to the ground. He hides from them for the rest of the night, knowing they’re both undoubtably planning his demise - he’s the one who tickled the life out of both of them, afterall. So, of course, the next day he’s on edge around them. wincing whenever one of them brushes their hand along his back when they walk by him, or when they creep up on him from behind, just having fun with the anticipation of it all. And the worst part? having to listen to the two talk about him like he’s not even there. “Can you imagine george in that position? He’d never survive!” “No, he definitely wouldn’t. You’ve seen how useless he is when he’s tickled normally, what’s he gonna do when he’s completely helpless?”. and it builds for daaaays, until george is about to be super brave and ask them outright to wreck him, to just get it over with, but decides against it. He knows better.

they bombard him a week later, though, after george is practically vibrating with nerves and going crazy with anticipation. they hold him down against the mats, kneeling on either side of george. they each take a hand, shoving a boxing glove onto each one as george fights them the entire time. after they finally secure them, dream and sapnap dig into the muscles of george’s ribs and inner thighs until he’s screaming, crying, pleading, begging, banging his useless little fists into the ground (and into dream and sapnap) as hard as he can <3

also i couldn’t ignore the au mention……the thing you wrote about dnf crashing an interview and talking about how they train with sapnap without saying it……….can you imagine the blushy cheeks? the way he’d pull the brim of his hat down to cover his face as he got more and more shy the more dnf talked about it?????? the lil breathy giggles and pleads for them to drop it???? and no one would understand but the three of them, and dnf would push it as far as they could bc theres nothing they love more than seeing sap squirm (and of course sap gets them both back tenfold after the interview <3)

i got u man👍 most of this was in my drafts from after the movie came out, but i just never got around to posting it. i added some other opinions ive had since then, tho theres still a lot ive said over the past month that ive totally forgotten about lol

the intro sequence was fucking HYPE‼️ but then, part way thru the movie, u realize....it doesnt ever hit that same mark again. WHERE TF WAS THE HUGH JACKMAN SONG THEY PROMISED? the trailers showed 95% xmen origins clips. the movie didnt mention it once. no the brothers line doesnt count. false fucking advertising. deadpools sexuality has been confirmed since 2014. and now, 10 years later, its still being reduced to gay jokes. and people still eat it up like its genuine rep.

that guy at the tva who’s whole punchline was that he likes men. why. in 2024. why is that allowed. his whole character was a gay joke. i mean so was deadpool, but this guys whole thing was. That. can i say homophobia? can i say i felt that? is that reasonable? this movie felt like a fundraiser for the future avengers movies to make up for all the recent flops.

i watched this shit twice and yea. i was right. the plot was half assed. once u watch it once, thats it. thats the fun. its all just cameos. the jokes didnt even make me laugh again, since it was majority shock based humor. my second watch thru i was trying not to fall asleep in my chair. the way it lacks plot isnt in the Not Coherent kind of way, but rather 'this couldve been a 40 minute monster of the week episode'....or maybe even a 2 episodes if they wanted to get freaky with it it just felt so separate from the rest of the movies, like it wasnt even a sequel.

literally, the movie begins with them abandoning the previous timeline and wade moving to a new ‘better’ one.....almost like hes moving over to a more sacred timeline.........separate from fox.........which is dumb af cuz the movie couldve been him accepting that whatever happens in ur life u cant go back and change, and u have to make due with the good u already have. the previous movie ended with him having a family, he didnt need a new one. i mean, they did that for logans 'learning moment', why wouldnt that also apply to wade? paradox literally says ‘hey we brought u in cuz the mcu is dying, so u should come over to the sacred timeline’ and then after he changes into his costume THEY CHANGE THE PLOT. THEY THROW THAT OUT. WITHIN MINUTES. now paradox is like ‘actually just your timeline is dying, and i wont elaborate on how that works. and also u dont get to go to the sacred timeline. and i hate you.’ WHY BRING HIM THERE AT ALL THEN IF THATS THE PLOT U CHANGED IT TO? ITS DOESNT MAKE SENSE. even if the plot was that he had to go to the sacred timeline cuz his own was dying, WHY WOULDNT HE BE ABLE TO BRING HIS FRIENDS?

what was the vanessa plot? they never explain why she broke up with him? theres like a tiny flashback where she says hes been distracted ever since he got rejected, rejected from what? clearly not the avengers, since that happens after she leaves him. so wtf was the motive here????? the cameos felt like props. especially the deadpool corps, which i feel like they didnt even skim a wiki article for. they just went off google images. which hurt me. cuz i reallyyyyy like those guys....in the comics, theyre a group of deadpools(consisting of lady deadpool, kidpool, headpool, dogpool, and deadpool), who in their first series save the multiverse from being destroyed(sound familiar?). theyre the GOOD GUYS. why tf would they hear cassandra nova say ‘hey im gonna kill the entire multiverse’ and go ‘alright sure whatever’. why were they in the void to begin with? how’d they get there? isnt the void just for movie continuities anyway? why was cassandra also there? how does the void work? why does the void exist? will someone please explain literally anything in this movie? why not have them come in later to save the fucking day instead??

oh lady deadpool...how they massacred ur character... OH KIDPOOL.....HOW THEY MASSACRED UR CHARACTER...... god speaking of that. cassandra nova had literally so much potential and they watered her down to just Evil Villain. she hasnt done much in the comics, but one the things she did in one them was using her powers for therapy on the xmen(which deadpool also made a cameo in). she sort of does this briefly in that one scene, but it was just so.....basic. bland. why was there no b plot with the rest of the main cast. did they think the audience doesnt watch these movies for them? cuz i sure fucking do. i was waiting for the continuation of colossus and wades epic romance arc. side note, the gay jokes in the previous movies felt even less queerbaity then these ones. this movies queerbaiting was just....sad. marketing queerbaiting. this movie WISHES it couldve been deadpool 2 levels of queerbait(shoutout to the extended sex mimicking scene set to In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel)

this wolverine was like. the wolverine 2014 wolverine. which is when fox wolverine started to lose character and just become grumpy and mean. hes also like that in Logan 2017, but the reason why this kinda attitude works in that one is bcuz hes old, hes fucked up, hes tired, and every fuck that comes outta his mouth he means it. and yet....still manages to experience other emotions. what a concept. ive read literal satire comics that understood his character more(shoutout to the What The--?! series). it just had me waiting for the 'gotcha! this wolverine is actually 3 dimensional!' but it never fucking got there. it was amusing in the beginning, but by like half way in, i did not give a single fuck about this guy. they tried to give him some emotional moment(like. the only emotional moment in the entire film) but it just...lacked the emotion. just 'heres my sad backstory. are u sad now?' and then they did the SAME THING AGAIN no we get it man u were at the bar instead of with ur friends and u went on a classic wolverine style berserker rage. why should we care tho?

i mean, sure, they could use the excuse of being in the type of depressive state where ur emotions numb out(speaking as a mfer with the came curse), and yea hes not the kinda guy to open up about his emotions unless he really trusts someone(which he would likely distance himself from forming connections with others after that kind of trauma), but with cassandra nova right there there was a missed opportunity for elaborating on that. for digging deep into his brain and telling why this fucked him up so bad. imo, if i were to write it, with everyone he gets close to he puts upon the expectation for himself that hes at fault for anything that happens to them. that he needs to be the savior, even in a friendship. to prove himself to be worth something. especially after a life of being convinced hes a burden by just existing as himself, he needs to have use in order to make up for the fact that hes Logan.

but whos going to save him? isnt he struggling too? whos gonna help you? looking at all the other logans across the multiverse, who is the wolverine? why do you keep falling for the same patterns no matter where you are and who you are? deadpool called sabretooth queen and she/her'd logan within like 5 seconds of eachother. that was pretty good ig

the other night i was rewatching the movie Hackers with my mom, saying that it was obvious the creators mustve known a lot about hacking in order to do such a good parody of it, out of love for the craft….but my knowledge of hacking is pretty minimal, so i have no actual fucking clue if that assumption is accurate or not. im just going off of a ton of references to hacking. for all i know, real hackers couldve hated this movie.

and thats how the average non comic fan saw this movie. they saw a buncha characters and references and thought ‘damn, they must really love the source material’ without knowing how much of a kick in the face it felt like to watch them get used and butchered like that.

i did live with roommates for 2 years, yes. i am now living with my dad again but i will hopefully be back at uni later this year!!

i think the main thing that i would tell you is its not as scary or difficult as you think its gonna be. as long as you have basic skills like cooking and laundry and so on, you're gonna be fine.

before i moved out, my mum had me cooking for the family once a week and doing my own laundry and ironing so i was well prepared for living alone. i would recommend this to anyone planning to move out in the next couple of years!!

another thing i will mention is try to do like. a rules reset in your brain. take a good hard look at all of the rules you've built up in your head while living with your family and discard any that you dont actually resonate with. like maybe all of your family members are evening shower people but you find that morning showers work way better for you. just because thats the way you've always done it doesnt mean its the only way it can be done!!

my final piece of advice is to make friends. making friends is crucial to moving away for the first time. you are going to need a support network, especially if you're moving to a new town/city and all of your old friends are more than an hours drive away now. humans thrive in a community so find ways to build yours. its not always easy but its so worth the effort

Hmm probably setting descriptions? i get a lot of compliments for the capri scenes in if i had words. sometimes i write decent smut but i dont consider it to be reliably something im good at, it can be hit or miss

What are your writing weaknesses?

planning, outlining, anything like that. there are many cases of me writing 90% of a fic and then taking a million years to post the final chapter because i'm not quite sure how everything is tied together at the end. usually i write 20%, stop and make an outline and then write the rest, but the outline for the ending is always so vague that it just doesn't really work out and it takes way more brain power than it needs to. i am aware of this. unfortunately i will probably never change.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

this is such a good question okok so it depends a little? say its charles' pov and theyre speaking french. i usually just put it in english but indicate theyre speaking french because the reader knows as much as the pov does. but if someones speaking dutch i usually just say "x said something in dutch" because he doesnt understand it so neither does the reader. sometimes i put the actual dutch if doing it the other way would break the flow of it, but i dont provide translations unless its something that charles would understand

like the admin, i dont think ben would be well versed in angel stuff, so i think he would be prone to making assumptions on what you are and what you do... probably teases you for being "nauseously good" or something along the lines... whether or not his words align with your personality is up to you!

not sure if he would be in shock knowing angels exist, i mean hes a trapped ghost i think hes had a feeling that other stuff is probably possible

messes with your wings, usually poking and messing with the features... sometimes ruffles them around if hes feeling particularly annoying that day

if you also have a halo i think it should be known that he WILL try to throw things through it; really anything he can get his hands on and feels confident enough will fit through it

i promise he doesnt mean it to be malicious, hes just an annoying kid who kind of got REALLY bored being trapped in a video game for lord knows how long; i think some of his attempts to get attention and stimulation can be forgiven to a degree

why did you change pearl?

because i hate her, simple as. i went from a huge SU fan to hating watching it (i did finish) and pearl is probably The biggest reason why, as like issues with her character seep into other aspects of the show that i also hate. like i mean i Realyl hate her. she makes the experience of watching the show really irritating and miserable for me. if you dont feel taht way about her thats totally normal and whatever but no one is gonna change my experience and feelings that i had watching SU since the 1st season was coming out.; anyway answering. there is a Lot i love about SU and want to engage with, so i had the idea of like,maybe ill just change pearl, cause i wanted to delete her, really, but she is one of the main characters and she hasa function as a character that you cant just do away with. essentially im just like, some guy, who draws, coping and trying to reclaim his teenage investimetn in this show. literally its just for ME. but if anyone else feels like i do, then they can enjoy it too. if somoene doesnt feel like i do, go watch like pearl fancams or smth. like ill never be able to literlaly change the show as it is, like its happened, and its a tragedy im trying to move on from (begrudgingly)

why do you hate pearl?

the long laundry list of reasons are probably apparent in the ways i remade her lol (theyre not i can tell ppl are gonna project whatever worst bad faith reason for any change i make) but tbh the core of it is this, which is like, beyond whatever traits she has and whatever: she reminds me of my abusers. always had, from season 1, but like it became worse as the series went on. its like really infurating and upsetting to watch SU bc of her. had my abusers been a different kind of person, maybe i wouldnt hate her so much (kinda doubt tbh). like her personality and behavior are like hough disgosting!!

why did you change (some physical trait about her design)?

i dont really necessarily have a PROBLEM with canon pearls design. over the years ive come to like SU's style less and less but like, gestures, whatever. like i didnt like it or anything but its not like a bit deal compared to the actual offender that is her personality and behavior. the reason i redesigned her at all is bc like, if i hadnt, i would still be thinking about the way she is in canon all the time. like ive visually associated her like, appearance with all the shit about her thta makes me upset so i had to so she didnt look like the same person anymore, and i can try to let go of some of the hatred in my heart. like i want to think about the thigns about SU that i loved and also the potential i always saw in it and canon pearl is like, an active obstacle to that, to the point taht i cant even see her without getting like irked. i tried to keep enough similar traits so from a glance youd be like, who the fuck- is that pearl? rather than like. completely change her entirely to whatever i wanted. i do want to like, its a creative exercise. i want to try and change the things that would make me happy to see gone but try to work within the constraints of the SU we Did get as much as i can tolerate. bc like.... if the sky was the limit then at this poin wed just have to throw the whole thing away and start from scratch. like its kinda not really very salvageable, like im not rewirting SU to be like a Good show or fix Everything, its kinda too broken. im just chnaging enough so i can look at the actual show, screenshots, songs etc, and not feel overcome wtih like the grief and irriatation of how much it sucked ass. its just so i can enjoy more of it again

cool. thanks for your input. youre welcome! eat my asshole. seriously though, like, shrugs. i didnt make it for anyone other than myself. tbh im not fully satisfied with it either bc i think the SU style is kinda ugly, so im at a crossroads. should i mostly abandon the SU style? ive like, tested out tweaking things, it mightve been noticeable in screenshot redraws. drawing within the SU style is to create that coping 'oh it was totally like this haha' vibe but maybe im old enough to not need that anymore lol. like ive heard ppl say shit like shes ugly, or like sneakily trying to imply im like, got some agenda over beauty or racism etc. like whatever, think whatever you want, its not for you. go back to sucking up to rebecca or smth like i cant take the og pearl away from you still i am open for like that kind of criticism like, do i have personal biases affecting my design decisions? probably. i do try to keep aware of why im choosing certain things, but really in this case i cant emphasize enough how like, irritating it is that i have to change her design at all. like its hard to come up w smth else when the rest of the cast ahs already been design to balance off the og pearl. i probably wouldnt change almost anything if the sight of her didnt piss me the fuck off! most of all i kinda wouldve preferred to keep her hair short bc it messes up the sillouete but it makes me think too much of canon pearl so i made it long :/ i was like let me tell you my design thought process: -im gonna try to keep as many recognizable traits about her design while taking away bit by bit until she doesnt look like the og pearl to me anymore and i dont feel angry seeing her. pearl is lanky, tall, spindly, with a gem on the forehead, blue white pink yellow pastel colors, large pointed nose. i kinda tried to keep these traits while slightly tweaking their design until she looked different enough. is it a good design? eh idk. like the purpose is to make me not hate her and it does that job

the only thing i can assume is that like, some people must interpret the absence of an assholey personality or like abusive behavior is 'boring'. i know thats a really bad faith assumption but like, if ive written down a bunch of personality traits and you still come out saying thats 'no personality' what am i to make of that lol. based on my experience like Existing online, people tend to often call nice characters 'boring', like dude ive done it before, but i think im kinda over that edgy phase. also again, its for me and not for you so if you think shes boring, thanks for your input i dont care. but thinkign about it earnestly, i dfeintely dont want to make a character thats just no flaw and not interesting ofc, i havent done that with reclaimed pearl. that being said i havent like, probably written a lot demonstrating what i want her to be like instead of the canon pearl so, maybe ppl just are feeling lost with the lack of information.

personally, if i hear someone thinks a character is boring bc theyre not abusive anymore like, nothing of value has been lost. but characters do need flaws in order to create conflict and cause things to happen, like in a way canon pearl is like All flaw, which wouldnt be a problem except she gets away wtih all the horrible shit she did. heres some traits i want to explore with reclaimed pearl, some are similar to canon i just wanna go about it a different way: being overprotective/possessive to steven in a smothering way, projecting abandonment issues, not reaching out/communicating her emotions properly, lacking indepedence/self worth, depending on others to avoid confronting her own issues, being very passive and insecure and lacking initiative (this being the totally opposite trait that canon pearl has), stunting stevens development due to her not being ready for him to grow up and not need her anymore. and more, this is just from the top of my head. maybe thats still too 'boring' for ppl because shes not being selfish and inconsiderate enough to others so you can relate to her but i dont care :p

imma be frank. i dont know how to compltely 'clean up' any possible bad associations wrt pearl as a character given how like, rebecca has literally like, made her to be a slave in love with her slave owner and made it to be like, an uwu ideal lesbiab thing for most of the show until they tried to pretend no we understood the flaws in this dynamic all along and its bad actually , uhh, anyway shows over haha

ill say the main reason i changed her skintone is, bc that would be the like most instant way to make her look differnt from canon (which is vital for me for the reasons said above), and i did consider like, does this make the whole thing worse, or, ?? like, as they made it in the show, techincally All the gems are slaves to the diamonds, arent they? including all the very totally progressive poc based gems including and specially the ones who are made to be understood as black women. bruh like idk what to tell you this show is just fuckig bad sdlgkj like its just way too like, pervasive in my teen years forme to throw the baby w the bathwater entirely. and ill just straight up say it, like, im not a specialist on these topics nor do i hav ea position of authority to speak on about it. like the pearls read more clearly as slaves (very intentionally by the showrunners) bc they are meant to be subservient to gems Other than diamonds. and also bc they like fit in the stereotype of housemaid servant. like the rubies being made to just be forced to go and fight like they are slaves too, they have no rights and no like, authority to disobey or autonomy. but fsr like, slavery as in physical labor just doesnt immeidately set off ppls alarms as much as housework slavery does fsr.

i dont think rhett likes link as a person that much. the way link has been joking about how "rhett doesnt have emotions" i think reveals more about the nature of their relationship at this point. link has been pushing a lot while rhett doesnt have much to give other than what he know he "supposed" to give. dont get me wrong i think there is affection of some kind between them and the history isnt something you can just set aside and the promise of a duo is still attractive but... imo one of the reasons why link is adamant at annoying/furstrating rhett is that its one of the only clear show of emotions he can make rhett feel for him at this point. its a little in link's head sure but i do believe rhett is slowly realizing some stuff and i dont think its those "gay" feelings that people like to talk about here. i realize im reading into a lot of things but i cant help but feel this push and pull and all these prying i love you's out of rhetts mouth lately speaks to an insecurity that is a little exagerated on links side but also not entirely unfounded. i think you can still have a certain amounth of love for a person in your hearth -whether the idea of them or the history of them or an affection that lingers etc. but slowly realize you dont like the way that they are/present themselves anymore.-its hard to find interests that you both actually enjoy/share that isnt also your job(lol), intelectually engaging conversations are sparse and inequal and sometimes more frustrating than informing etc. which is a very difficult thing to handle on both sides. doesnt have to mean its an end but its just would be a lot of difficult shifts that should be taken seriously and not for granted in the name of promises. idk. this is a little strech and i normaly i dont like to do this but i cant help but feel that. I get what you are saying. It is a thought I used to have occasionally; that Rhett doesn’t seem to love Link as genuinely or that he is getting done with him. Most of the time, something happened that made me feel proven wrong.

The thing about them fighting was also significantly dramatised in the interview - not because it might not have been dramatic at the time it happened but because the interviewers clearly and humorously wanted to play it up. I personally felt uncomfortable with the mildly comedic reenactment of Rhett’s apology. I believe this should have stayed between them or that when it was between them it was definitely serious and so it didn't deserve to be a part of this youtube interview. I mean, you know it’s serious enough when Link is staring and not talking and Rhett is tearing up.

We should always keep in mind all the things that are unsaid because there was a lot unsaid in this case. Link had briefly mentioned this recently, the whole sending an email about needing their friendship to be more of an actual friendship thing. He said at both occasions that there was a warning of “I can’t keep doing this if we are not gonna be actual friends”. The thing is, what was his alternative really? To mess it all up and work solo? As a YouTuber? As an engineer? As a what? This was a huge risk. Link also said he sent this email with Christy’s blessings. Something doesn’t add up. Christy isn’t crazy about Mythical but that would be a huge and tough change if this email caused a breakdown in their friendship. I wonder whether Christy’s self interests were getting in the way of the advice she would be giving in that case. Because a sensible advice would be for Link to be less absolute about it and secure that their business remained undisturbed no matter what happened to their friendship. Unless, idk, things were THAT shitty that Link 'd rather end his whole super successful career. Besides, it is bad when a friend grows emotionally distant, however when this friend is still physically close and you see him all the time and you have based all your income on him, it is unwise and very dramatic to blow it up because you aren’t as attached to the hip friends as in middle school. Welcome to adulthood, I guess. Therefore this doesn’t add up perfectly in my opinion and I would expect Christy to be more like "grow up and do your job without obsessing over Rhett's friendship" than say "You go girl, blow it all up if you are not the best of the besties again", so I once again conclude there was more that made Link felt so invested in the genuineness of Rhett’s feelings, which caused him to feel heartbroken when their friendship was getting more impersonal. The way Link implored for a big talk, for months or even years I recall, for Rhett to open up about his feelings to him is not typical of 40 year old males being friends but, then again, you could argue much of them and their arrangement isn't typical anyway. I could add to my point that in the past years they have been clearer about the frankly quite strange ways they avoided each other outside work but this would lead the answer into paths you are not interested in.

However, Link did not imply Rhett did not have emotions or emotions towards him in specific. He said Rhett does not verbalize or externalize the actually existing feelings. That's what he usually says, though sometimes it seems he is unsure of the nature / genuineness of Rhett's emotions indeed.

Rhett has fought to improve on this aspect throughout the years. It does not always work but there is effort. Sometimes it affects him quite a bit that Link thinks that. It took him some time to realize it but apparently he gave Link a massive tearful apology in which he explained he thought all along that whatever they did was them living this friendship. I don't know if that's 100% sincere but it seems he cared enough to come clean about it, apologize, improve on himself and listen to Link etc So I still think he loves Link a lot. Besides, remember how crazed and needy Rhett was towards Link during quarantine? Also, aside from that interview, Rhett is more often than not the one to whine for not seeing each other many times in a month or Link not inviting him to this or that, or not caring enough for a shared hobby or not being provisional for him as much as Rhett is for Link's sake. Therefore I think we get this idea because Link is so much more open and dramatic about his needs that makes us inequally exposed to their viewpoints and as a result we feel for Link more. But I think Rhett cares about Link a lot. Sure, he is annoyed at him often because Link can cause that to people lol but I think the good emotions and all the past and all he has with him by far overcome some exasperation that might be there. They do have different love languages, too.

As for the song, thanks for the link, I was looking for the lyrics. Had my eyes nearly drop out of my eyesockets in order to read them XD Well, it's certainly an angry song and [MASSIVE EDIT BECAUSE I MISREAD ONE WORD] it’s almost certainly about people criticising them for abandoning the faith and how it still stings.
