#naruto#uchiha itachi#chapter 384#of course the point of all this spectacle in the manga is to have like. good visuals.#but if we'd like to think abt his motivations on a character level it really makes you wonder abt how much he was overcompensating to try#and convince sasuke of his motivation#the genjutsu vision of his parents dying the throne the eye stealing threats etc#its makes him look extremely obsessed with sasuke never learning the 'truth' of him actually loving sasuke#and it's like man you didn't need to go that far.#it was actually pretty easy to take you for a bad guy.#sorry that my conclusion is just 'man you didn't have to do all that' i feel like we came to that conclusion already#well i enjoy it :) thanks for the spectacle kishimoto
