the most gut wrenching part about toby and hannah's story is that you KNOW how it ends, there is no way for them to ever get their happy ending, no matter how many cute scenes from their past we read or how many novellas are released... toby hates himself for what he did on hawthorne island and hannah's dead and thats just the way it is ☹️

its like u read the most romantic, giggling kicking your feet scene and also the most deep and soul crushing epic-once-in-a-lifetime love scene of them, and youre like "aw! they're so cute! cant wait to keep reading!" ... then you remember 🙂

OMG JLB just announced a clothbound deluxe edition of the Inheritance Games (In the UK) and I’m literally freaking out they are so freaking beautiful. (I’ll be ordering them off of BlackWell’s because I live in the US)

Also, JLB announced a while ago that her Fixer Series was getting new covers and a new titles (The Ruling Class & Lessons in Power). I haven’t read the series yet but I’ve heard a lot of really great reviews about it.

also theres gonna be like a whole ass novel on her and tobys story, i mean i dont think job would give them a whole novel if she wasnt going to reveal something big

OKAY IT'S TIME FOR PART TWO GUYS (AS USUAL NO HATE)

so i loved xander's card, he looked really cute my scone-loving pookie <3 but i thought he would be like a little more muscular because yk he's the tallest hawthorne brother (and the other brothers ARE pretty tall) and he's an ENGINEER SO

i did NOT expect my man toby hawthorne to look so *coughs* hot and i LOVE the curls in his hair no complaints HERE!!! (oh but i have seen a few people saying that he's probably a ginger, but i think they would've pegged him as a laughlin pretty quickly if he really was so...)

AND THEN THE MAMA HANNAH ROONEY. she looks SO girlboss, and is it just me or is she giving blonde vibes? like her silhouette looks blonde, like ykyk??? but honestly she and avery look NOTHING alike so you know what that means...

I just finished rereading The Same Backwards as Forward and here are my thoughts

-this made me sob

-I love how he calls her “Hannah O Hannah” or “Hannah the Same Backwards as Forward”

-I also love how he immediately notices her when they first met

-he sees her when she wants to be invisible 😭😭

-I love their little games

-I love how you learn why Hannah came up with her games

(Also it’s kind of funny that both the games that Hannah came up with and the I have a secret game were because of a Hawthorne)

-“I hated you until I loved you. And I’ll love you until the end” 😭😭

-I love the hospital scene

-ALSO ALICE COMING TO VISIT HANNAH WHEN AVERY WAS A BABY

-THEY ARE SO CUTE AND THEY WILL ALWAYS MAKE ME CRY, I WISH THEY COULD HAVE ENDED UP TOGETHER

Ok but something that would make me explode would be a scene in The Same Backward As Foward where Hannah is on her deathbed (already devastating) and then Toby sneaks into the hospital like he did when Avery was born (for parallels) and she asks him to look out for Avery (so them hanging out in tig would be even more depressing) and they have a last kiss 🥺 or maybe we get Avery & Hannah’s last convo? Oh my heart 😭🥺
