FInal Thoughts

This trip was one of the craziest, most wonderful things we have ever done.  We would, in a heartbeat, jump in the car with our crew with almost no plan and, as a wise three year old likes to say, "$20 (or so!) in our pocket" to explore America again.  

The quality family time, frustrating moments, tears and laughter were all amazing, but the fun of sharing national monuments, natural beauty and the history of our country with our au pair and children was priceless.  If you have not hit the open road with your loved ones, you are missing out.

And we are now east. Yet soooooo far from home. Looks like mom and dad are pulling an all nighter,  but it was worth it!

What great family vacay doesn't end in a sketchy midwestern hotel pool, mom and dad's water bottles filled to the brim with adult beverages in anticipation of the 16 hour ride home?!

No worries, and nobody's gonna stop us. Nobody's gonna stop us cuz I got $20 in my pocket!

L was thoroughly unimpressed with our arrival in Nebraska and the scenic overlook of the Great Plains.
