Hello everyone hope you’re having or have had a lovely Saturday. Today for #stacksaturday I was tagged by the fabulous @antipodeanbookclub to participate in a challenge to raise awareness about period poverty. The #bloodybrilliantbookstack ⁣ {From the Bodyform website} Here in the UK, 1 in 10 girls can’t afford to buy menstrual products whilst 1 in 7 have struggled to afford to buy them according to a survey by Plan International UK. Their research also found that 49% of girls have missed an entire day of school because of their period and 59% of these girls have lied or found an alternative reason to avoid going to school. ⁣ ⁣ There is also such a taboo around periods with many girls feeling too embarrassed to seek assistance.
