We are trained from birth to quiet ourselves, hold it in, don’t get too excited, filter, temper ourSelves. The message is: do not be the FULL of YOU. Why? Perhaps it’s a belief that this is what Polite is? Or perhaps it is a belief that it’s how we create a civil society? But what happens when we do this-repress essential parts of ourSelves - that energy (Life Itself!) doesn’t just go away, it sits trapped in our bodies. And over time - years - the energy begins to change and cause dis-Ease. This dis-Ease can show up physically in the form of illness, or emotionally, in the form of anxiety, depression, rage... JOY is our Natural State. Joy aligns with the essence of Soul. Joy, the Soul, invites us to FEEL it ALL. THIS IS LIFE. To ALLOW the ENERGY that wants to move through us in each moment is ALIVENESS. Four years ago I published my first book, The Joy Practice: Becoming more of who you are by experiencing life fully and directly. The majority of the book's content was downloaded to me after an experience with my family at the beach. The main message that came through me is that JOY is our natural state and that this natural state is the truth of who we are. This joy that we are is not a false state of happiness all the time, it is the truth of what we think and how we feel no matter what. Uncensored. But as humans we have been conditioned away from our natural state of joy. I go on to share in the book, that there are 9 natural elements of joy that include Creativity, Aliveness, Possibility, Gratitude, Compassion, Abundance, Peace, Freedom & Vulnerability. These 9 elements are not outside of us, they are us. And, living our life directly and fully, we open to these elements that we already are and experience joy.
