Or the animators are just too lazy to come up with a different design for the trio

The hyenas are so often just an afterthought. It would be cool to see them as teens (though I suppose the design wouldn't be that different). Idk. Maybe eventually I'll come up with some meta way to think about why the hyenas look the same.
