I just love that Ji Woo is always so mindful of the glassware on the table whenever Seo Joon is around. He knows that the sound of shattering glass triggers Seo Joon so he is always prepared to keep that from happening.

He can say whatever he wants to Seo Joon but he can't control his actions to well.

He acts on impulse around Seo Joon and he can't help it. He is drawn to that man no matter how much he fights it. From staying up all night worrying about Seo Joon, to googling his name to make sure he isn't caught up in scandal, to spending the whole night searching with him, to kissing him, to having sex with him, and to stopping a glass from shattering to protect him. He can say whatever tf he wants to Seo Joon but his actions speak volumes.

And Seo Joon wonders why Ji Woo treats Seong Yoon so well even though she's his ex too and it's simply because he has no romantic feelings for her anymore. He's not actively trying to push her away because he's not actively fighting his love for her. He doesn't want to be with her, he wants to be with Seo Joon but he doesn't think that's possible. He's nasty to Seo Joon on purpose because he wants him to hate him so that he can push him away. Seo Joon should be more worried if Ji Woo starts treating him like he treats Seong Yoon.

I’m on episode 4 of Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo. I know that I will probably come back around because I’m Hwang Da Seul’s target audience, but I don’t love Dohoe the way I love Jiwoo, so he’s riling me up. This time skip is really skipping!!

So I ended up doing a full rewatch of To My Star 2 because it was Hwang Da Seul's work that I had felt the most complicated about and in some ways Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo had already started reminding me of that story.

And yes, after some time and fully understanding what the story was trying to do from the beginning, I enjoyed it so much more. I really truly had thought they were doing some romcom spin of why Jiwoo had left - like he knew the truth of his parents' being conned would come out and didn't want that to negatively impact Seojoon. I expected full on noble idiocy and what we got was so much more complex than that. I think it was a factor yes. I think Jiwoo had fully convinced himself that Seojoon was better off without him, even when we saw Seojoon so desperate to get Jiwoo back, that wasn't what Jiwoo was seeing.

I still feel like a more integrated pov would have been better where the tension was them misunderstanding each other than just focusing on Seojoon's pov and then flipping at the end, but that's really just my preference in where I like the dramatic tension.

But I am writing about it because it's pretty much the same storytelling structure we are getting in Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo.

I am thinking a lot about the possible reasons that Dohoe left, the ones he told himself and the one's he didn't admit to himself. It works for me much better than TMS2 because the level of trauma is so intense, the major decision making that led to this all happened when they were so young and the reasons are so much easier to extrapolate because we've seen so much of what they've been through on screen.

But I still find it hard to take that the one who tends to reach out is the one who is so brutally shut out. I hope there's a little more time spent in this story focusing on how Dohoe hurt Ju Young by simply leaving without explanation and hiding away from him.

Another one that was supposed to be A/B/O The story of Bai Lan, a young man who wants Mr. Shen, a proud alpha, to be his omega. According to the casting announcement ‘Desire’ will consist of 24 episodes with 45 minutes runtime per episode.

Fuji TV announced and episodic series focuses on Ritsuka as he rediscovers his love for music thanks to Mafuyu. Given the Movie focused on their bandmates, Akihiko-Haruki, and their tumultuous relationship. The storyline for this second film involves Ritsuka temporarily joining Hiiragi and Shizusumi’s band, and the tension that brings to his new relationship with Mafuyu. It will also delve into the relationship between Hiiragi and Shizusumi.

The drama stars Thai actors Jeff Satur and Barcode Tinnasit and Korean actors Dion and Jun In-Kyu (Q) About a spaceship that crash-lands into and destroys a bakery shop. Of course this means the alien and the baker end up living together. At the same time, other aliens-in-hiding all around the city start hunting for them. One of my most anticipated BLs. It sounds SO WEIRD.

5. Second Chance Romance

To break this down a bit, I think technically a second chance romance requires there to have been a relationship in the first place. So as much as I absolutely love Our Dating Sim, Tokyo in April Is..., and a Breeze of Love, for example, they never did more than kiss or hook up once before circumstances forced them apart, so I'm discounting them for the purposes of this post (but watch all three of those shows they are excellent).

I honestly think the best example of this in BL is His (the film). Shun and Nagisa dated for years, broke up, and the film is all about the two of them re-learning one another and finding how they fit together now. They need to work through both the things that caused them to break up the first time, as well as the hurt from that break-up, before they can get together again in the present. Their getting together in the present is informed by (as well as hindered by) their first romance.

Runner up goes to To My Star 2. TMS2 isn't quite as perfectly aligned to the trope because only one of them wanted to be broken up and there isn't a ton of time between the break-up and the should-we-get-back-together dance. But there is a lot of working through the things that broke them up the first time in order to allow for them to even potentially work this second time, which is a key component of second chance romances.

Finally, I'm going to mention Until We Meet Again. This is definitely not a standard Second Chance Romance by any stretch; the second chance is from their deaths in their first lives. But it's clear that even if their memories from their lives as Korn and Intouch are not conscious, they have been influenced by their subconscious memories all their lives. Pharm was desperate to learn to cook because In never got the chance; Dean had a tattoo because he felt like he was constantly searching for something. Dean learned to be direct because Korn spent so long not being direct with In; Pharm was hesitant to trust Dean because In felt betrayed by Korn's suicide. They had to work through their past life trauma in order to be able to work in the present.

He was just assuming the worst because literally no one had heard from him. The relief that his mans was okay literally just took him out. His big ole 6 ft 1 as Just toppled over like a tree.

as someone who's gone through my archive already, you know i started out as a bts fan account in 2015. (my previous blog is not gonna be discussed for the simple reason that it's barely relevant to this one)

i believe i used to tag and organise my reblogs? there was a time where i cared enough and i loved srolling through my own blog, i stopped enjoying that when i became more involved w/ fandom on here and things weren't aesthetics based anymore. i don't like going through it that much now. i used to play around with themes, search for them, tweak colours and fonts for hours. after i returned years later there was an issue with the editor so now i can't change my theme at all and it sucks cause i just want to edit a few things.

so it started of as a bts fanblog, then i started rb-ing other kpop stuff, maybe afterwards i started sharing gifsets from movies and series i liked? as for fandom, i had a good amount of mutuals - accidentally became one with a girl from my country, we went out once and it was very nice <3 procrastinated and lost track fo tag games back then too lmaoo i felt a lot of dissatisfaction over it so i try to do everything now with my current fandom :)

back then is when i started reading fanfiction - i believe my first imagine was a taegi one where v was an artist and yoongi a photographer lol i stumbled upon it on the dash randomly and i got introduced to ao3 a bit after

iirc for the following years after i'd stopped stanning bts, i used to come back either relatively often or once in a blue moon - in the beginning i was just enjoying wtv my dash was offering me or seeking out specific stuff, then i started using it as a tracklist of what shows i've watched haha, no tags, just rb after finishing a show.

i started engaging with fandom around the release of episode 5 of kinnporsche, i read a bunch of posts on here, then tms2 came around and i got even more into reading people's takes..at some point i started talking to people i guess hahah i don't even know when i started trying to put out content, so to say, i just know i was doing screenshot posts short before i found myself pushed to attempt gifs and that was after big dragon had just finished airing.

then i started my giffing journey. had support from @gillianthecat whom i loved giffing paulnice for. honestly that and the discussions we had were such an important part of me having fun with this site and keeping it up. and @joyladagang, my self-proclaimed #1 hype woman, made me feel super welcome. then i got even more moots, at some point i started reaching out or actively reciprocating others attempts at getting closer (though i had been active in discussions before that, i just mean i got a bit braver and started acting more familiar with everyone (esp w/ ppl i got closer to through @joyladagang like @cankersoregirl, @feralmuskyscentedhoepran, @loserlesbianongsa etc.)

i'm grateful to a lot of people on here, truly. it's not supposed to be a shoutout post so i won't be tagging any more people (esp since i would have to tag everyone who follows me plus a bunch of people i follow which..it's a bit much) but i'm genuinely thankful for each person that enjoys my rants, gifs, theories or wtv the things i post classify as, whether they found a post by accident or follow the blog. and i'm grateful to the creators i follow, and i'm happy to talk to so many sweet, smart and funny individuals on various topics daily.

so this is where my blog is at right now - trying to do a bit of everything and talking a bit with everyone. my issue, tbh, is i'm trying a bit too hard to satisfy everyone which sounds ridiculous but i am a bit of a people pleaser at times so it checks out lol

That and Sorn (Manner of Death)

Another duo MY LITTLE MUPPET BABIES!!!!! When I watched MoD there wasn't really much else in its genre and tone to compare to, so I was genuinely concerned for my grumpy/sunshine teens' safety. It made for a very stressful experience because THEY'RE JUST BABIES LEAVE THEM ALONE

Li Qian (Guardian)

I know this list says BL boys but That Won't Stop Me. Li Qian is my bestest girl and though I would throw hands for most all of the characters in Guardian I think she takes the top spot. I will protect her from anything including her shitty employers and the dean of the university (he is the real villain of the series fight me) and then i'll support her while she does her important post-canon work of [redacted for spoilers]. I love her.
