i’m in the mood to rank buck’s and eddie’s love interests throughout the show from the “best” (ish) to the worst, ‘cause why not:
1) ali - we didn’t see a lot of their relationship, and maybe that’s what saved her, lol. but, like, overall, i actually liked her personality, and she and buck looked good together. i also understand her reason for breaking up with him - not everyone can handle buck’s lifestyle. and she at least waited till he recovered a little bit before breaking up with him, so bonus points for politeness, i guess. (though i understand tatiana’s perspective on her breakup with chimney too.) also, the way she was gently stroking buck’s cheek as he was crying is living in my head rent-free
2) shannon - she wasn’t the perfect mum and she wasn’t the perfect wife, but i liked her personality. she was cute and kind and tried to make it work for so many years until she finally broke down. and i still think it’s mostly eddie’s fault, ‘cause he actually didn’t have her back. he wasn’t there for her when she needed him the most. and he still didn’t put himself fully into their relationship when they reconnected, even though she wanted to give them a chance again. so, yeah, i think she had the potential to be a good partner - not her fault she got caught up in this mess. they both were young and stupid and didn’t know any better until reality caught up (eddie not being able to love her the way he wanted to love her, and she wanted to be loved)
3) taylor - i kind of hated her in the beginning because of wanting to reveal bobby’s personal life in her video about the 118, but i started to like her in season 4. she actually had a fleshed-out and complex personality - one that didn’t match with buck’s, in a romantic sense at least. but they made a great team as friends and partners-in-crime. i also think she should’ve broken up with buck after he cheated on her. but, yeah, another case of two people falling in love with each other and ignoring all the ways they’re incompatible until it finally blows up in their face. i’d say at least buck learned what he doesn’t want in a relationship while being with her - but then he dated natalia and tommy, so yeah…
4) abby - look, i think she was actually pretty okay during their relationship. and i also don’t see the age gap as an issue, ‘cause buck was 26 at the time and already had a lot of life experience. like, it doesn’t count as grooming imo, so who cares that she was older. and it’s nice that buck decided to take things slow and learn how to be in a serious relationship, and she gave him that chance. ‘cause, yes, she maybe saw him as a boytoy, but she still also took time to learn about his personality. but obviously, they were never meant to last, ‘cause she was at a very different stage in her life. buck just built a castle on sand with the way he got so involved in their relationship. BUT, i will consider her a bitch for not breaking up with him properly and stringing him along for several months. like, i get your reasons, girl, but how about communicating them and letting the other person know instead of giving them false hope?
5) ana - she had more chemistry with ravi in that one scene than with eddie in all their time together… also, i can’t tell much about her personality. their relationship was just boring. but she is gorgeous
6) marisol - again, such a beautiful woman. eddie couldn’t care less though. he likes them blue-eyed. i don’t know whether i should respect her for her amount of patience or, on the contrary, feel pity for her. i’m putting her below ana ‘cause she managed to have even less chemistry with eddie than her
7) natalia - it took a long time to decide whether to put her in last place or not. but my dislike for tommy turned out to be stronger. her biggest problem was just her obsession with death. which is a weird reason to date someone
8) tommy - first of all, i’m still holding a grudge about hen and chim and how he didn’t do anything to stand up for them or at least let them know privately that he’s on their side, like chim did with hen when she first got into the 118. i don’t like people with sheep minds. secondly, he was definitely the one who saw buck as some hot prize/himbo and didn’t care the least about his personality. and at first i thought “oh, thank god for seeing that buck is into men and kissing him to finally let him know that,” but then he turned out to be the shittiest boyfriend in the world, and i was like, “oh, here we go, another meaningless relationship for buck that didn’t work out, because the person he’s dating doesn’t fit him at all”
also, this confirmed again that both buck and eddie’s problems in their relationships stem from them not really thinking about their actual wants and needs, and just doing it out of some internal pressure they put on themselves - which they call “going with their gut”
when in reality, it’s more like: buck tries to fill the hole inside of him with any relationship he can find, even if they’re bad for him, ‘cause he doesn’t like to be alone, and he thinks he needs to be of service to someone (he’s a helper and a fixer, after all - the unconscious trauma that was implanted in him basically since his birth)
and eddie tries to have that “ready-made” family he had with shannon (i’m actually obsessed with how he romanticizes his relationship with her by calling it “magic” when their marriage was ready-made too, because she got pregnant and they were pretty much forced to marry without figuring out first whether they even wanted it or not)
meanwhile, they choose each other over and over again because they actually want to
they have shared values, they understand each other like no one else. and even when it all goes wrong, they fix the problem and still choose each other instead of giving up on their relationship
and it’s mutual. that’s the key - they both want the same thing. each other, and the family they built with chris
so yeah
buddie canon when?
#buddie#evan buckley#eddie diaz#i have no idea how ali ended up in first place oops#as you can see i support women’s rights and wrongs#and i’m probably gonna change my mind about this ranking at some point but for now this is it#buck x eddie#911#911 abc#911 show#911 meta#911 thoughts

if you want a nonbinary actor to play murderbot but the only actors you can think of are petite afab people then i think you need to reevaluate something about how you perceive nonbinary people and then we can talk again
#murderbot#the murderbot diaries#im not saying im excited it's alexander but i am saying that stripping the gender from hollywoods golden action star is funny as hell#but on a serious note i think it has just as much to say about gender and being nonbinary as any other choice#it is not a lesser choice#and i get annoyed that people forget that people who look like they fit a cis mold aren't necessarily cis#and nonbinary people who choose to fit a cis stereotype aren't lesser#and THAT being said#you gotta remember murderbot is a construct created to look like an everyman BUT was created by a corporations idea of what#the everyman looks like#there are many things to say and we should wait for the show to decide if it's bad

One hell of a team | In-ho x Wife!Reader |

Summary: You will follow your husband anywhere.
Warnings: S2 Spoilers - Violence - Different back story for In-ho - Blood - Death - Use of (Y/N) - Reader gets called "love" -
The Frontman, the man with the most power within the island, to who the guards obey without question.
Was currently trembling under his wife pointed look.
"You want to enter the games?" You asked him, your tone cold and almost jugdmental.
In-ho calmed himself down. It was an idea that stayed with him after the death of the Chairman and even more with how player 456 had insisted the last two years in finding them. He had played before and won, he knew how terrible others could be, he had walked out like a new man, used the money for himself and you. Never really gave much thought on how many lives were lost.
But, for some reason he wanted to go again.
"Im going with you"
His glass of wishky fell onto the floor, the loud crash did nothing to bother you while you ate.
"No, thats not happening. I need you here to control the games and guards" In-ho started trying to get a valid reason to why you defenetly should not come.
"Oh, you need me to? Well I need you here. With me. With our family. How do you think I would do seeing you there ? I still remember how you got when you came back from these the first time"
"That was different" The Frontman said taking a deep breath "I wont be just one more player, it will be like when the Chairman went in"
"That still does not ease my mind" (Y/N) responded "Till death do us a part and follow you anywhere" you recited showing him your weeding ring. "Remember?"
In-ho felt his chest got thight at the sight and the memory of the small yet full of love weeding you two had back when life was more simple.
"Alright, you can come with me. Its not like you would wait for my approval" he responded smiling at the end "But no one must know that we are married, you understand that ?" He added now serious
"Of course, its what makes more sense, we will just casually meet there and see how it plays" You nodded to him "And please, better clean up that glass before someone steps on it"
"On it, love"
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~
For the most part pretending not to know each other was easier than expected. While you knew the guards knew who you two were you were still a bit scared. Specially during the green and red light, since both of you had got separated and now you were froze in your spot.
"You need to move" In-ho said from behind his arm playing along "Follow me in the next sing, alright? Just take my hand"
"Im scared, im sorry" You said feeling guilty over wanting to be there with him and starting to fail on the first game no less.
"I know, I was too. But im here, just follow me"
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~
You had to hide your smirk when he pressed the circle to go on with the games, you knew he would do it just to piss off Player 456 and make things more cahotic.
He went with the rest and stood besides you trying himself not to smile at you.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
The first approach to Gi-huns team was tense to say the least. You two had voted circle and even worse In-ho had been the vote that ended the tie.
But with his own charisma and yours you two got to be on his good side.
Till In-ho decided to talk, really you sometimes forgot who sassy he could be.
"And some picked umbrella?" He asked faking suprise when he had seen it on first hand. "Most of them died I assume"
You could see the look on player 456 and decided to be more sensitive
"Hey, dont be like that. Im sure they went in blind and did not know what it was about" You said keeping a safe distance so no one would think you two were together or knew each other before the games.
In-ho was having too much fun.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
That first night they both were in their respective beds. Still keeping their false relationship. However once (Y/N) was sure all were asleep she went towards In-ho who was awake like he knew she would be coming to him.
"Are you alright?" He asked in a whisper, worried that for her this would be too much.
"Im fine, I wanted to see if you were fine"
He nodded not saying a thing but taking her hand.
"Also, I saw you break that fight, really ? When did you even learn to do that ?" This made him smile and hold her hand thighter "Really! I only see you in your office all the time"
"You think I would come in here without knowing how to defend myself or you?"
She smiled at him, blushing in the dark. "No....I just thought all you did was be in your office and give orders"
In-ho rolled his eyes "Just wait till we are out of here, i will show you just how fit im"
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
The six legs game was both a chaos and funny. Honeslty you could not help yourself on hugging him and player 456 (who was slowly getting on your soft side) as you saw a team win.
However the shoots that came for these who did not survive were too much. You would swear In-ho gave the guards a cold stare because you would flinch sometimes.
"Hey, dont worry they wont shoot the ones who havent played" Player 456 reassured you with a calm tone
You nodded, knowing that even if you lost they wont shoot you or In-ho. It was still sweet to see him trying to calm you down.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
"Not a word" He said during the night when you two were able to talk again.
"I was not going to say a thing, but you did in on purpose or were you really missing ?"
In-ho closed his eyes knowing you would later get the recording of him missing during the game and use it against him.
"It was all planned" he said trying to sound as convincing as he could.
"Whatever you say Honey"
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
The game of making pairs gave you nausea because of the carousel kept spinning around. And the rounds were stress again. The worse part was getting separated from In-ho who find you seeing how two players were dragging you so they could have the number they needed.
You havent see him get that angry in years, his protective self being on as he pulled one from the neck and punched the other one.
He kept punching almost forgetting there was a game you two were supposed to play.
"Leave him we still need two more" You urged only for a guard to shove two confused and scared players besides you and In-ho.
"We got them" He assured getting your hand and going to one room.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
"In-ho!! (Y/N)!!" The worried screams of Gi-hun filled the place as he looked for both of you.
Even if he had promised to try and dont get attached to new players and survive he could not help but feel a connection with both of you.
"Gi-hun!" In-ho's voice called making him look over and see him coming towards the rest with you by hand something that made him curious but decided not to ask.
"Im glad to see you two alright" Gi-hun said seeing just a few bruises on you, and noticing blood on In-ho knuckles.
You catched his eyes and went to explain "He saved me" you told the rest looking at them then at In-ho who was looking back at you "I would have not made it otherwise"
The look of love you two shared was so genuine, some wonder if you two were together but trying to be discrete to protect yourselfs.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
"They will most likely attack us tonight" Gi-hun explained as he showed the fork the guards had left when the food was given.
The idea only assented itself when the men returned from the bathroom, with blood on them.
"And what do you propouse us to do?" In-ho asked all of the Xs were in a circle trying to listen to what Gi-hun had to say.
Gi-hun told the others his plan, honestly you thoguht it was nusts, it wont work. They were far suprassed on numbers but you had to shut yourself up.
You could tell your husband was both amazed by it and even kind of respecting it. Or at least that what he showed to him. He needed Gi-hun's trust after all.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
"Hide well" In-ho said besides you in a low tone "We can trust the guards but till they get here we cant trust the others"
You nodded knowing that very well since this was a typical phase of the game for years.
"We will be safe" You said holding his shoulder. "Do what you have to do, dont worry about me" You tried to make him feel at ease but he could not. The only thing that scared him more than anything were the other players trying to get to you.
"Just hang in there" He responded his forehead against yours.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
The fight was on its hot spot. The players were killing each other without a second thought.
Nothing like living it, even if you have seen this type of thing multiple times. Its was unnerving to see them just going at each others troath. The screams and cries were too much for a moment, the dark did nothing to help.
Thats when you felt it. Someone had dragged you out from under the bed and was now on top of you. You saw the player move their left hand ready to Strike at you. You tried to punch and defend yourself but the person on top was too strong.
A cold scream left your mouth as the fork pierced your shoulder.
You could not help it, the adrenaline and anxiety was getting on you.
"In-ho! In-ho help me please" You screamed for him, your husband the love of your life.
"Shut up, the next one will be your neck" The person said and for a moment you saw it. Dying in here and leaving In-ho.
Till you felt the person being pushed and the screams of them. You blinked trying to make sense.
It was In-ho, he had taken the fork from the player and was now piercing the neck of the player, not even leaving a chance for them to survive.
"GO HIDE NOW!!" In-ho ordered, he being scared himself and angry. He saw red when you were dragged and it was for the brutal grip Gi-hun had on his arm that he did not move faster.
You did as told getting under another bed and making sure no one could reach you.
"You fucking scum! How dare you lay hands on my wife" In-ho almost screamed too angry to see that the player was now dead. All his face and hands where covered in blood.
"Stop it!! They are dead, we need to continue the plan, the lights will be back soon" Gi-hun said taking him and pulling him away from the dead player.
"Get (Y/N), and be ready" Gi-hun told him trying to keep himself calm even when he was close to jump over and save you and In-ho. He wondered if he had hear it right, you were his wife?
In-ho did not waste time, searching for you in the dark till he noticed you. He went quick, pulling yourself out from the bed telling you its was him.
"Shh shh its me, its over dont cry Love" He said trying to make you feel better.
"In-ho?" He nodded and you cried harder "In-ho I was so scared"
"I know love I know, just a bit more alright? It will be over soon. Listen once the guards come in and we follow Gi-huns plan do not come. Someone will come and get you"
"Im going with you, im not leaving you in a bullet fight!"
"You know nothings gonna happen to me, I want you here, safe, alright?"
Finally you accepted.
"I love you In-ho"
"I love you too Love"
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
As In-ho had said when the guards got back after the fight one took you, Player 120 tried to protest but was put back in her place by other guard.
"You are under suspect of have been part of the riot. You are now eliminated from the games"
The guard said playing his role, starting to get you out of the room while you screamed following the act.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~
"Apologies Madam, orders from the Front Man" The guard said bowing once you two were outside and out of reach from the others players.
Even if you were still breathing hard you nodded. "Dont worry, just take me to him". The guard nodded.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~
He knew he was needed in the control room but refused to let you alone like that. He went to your share room, his heart broke at your image, bruises and blood over you. A guard was checking your shoulder but left after he order them to.
Silence fell over both of you as he went to you and hugged you careful not to hurt your shoulder.
He removed his mask to look at you properly.
"Im sorry, I should have never let you come, I should have stopped this sooner" He said with pain in his voice
"Dont blame yourself, I told you I was going in with you. This was not your fault In-ho" You reassured him feeling sad and worried over him.
"I cant not blame myself" He gently passed his hand over your cheeck "You are the best thing in my life and I almost lost you because of my own desires, never again"
You two kissed softly grounding yourselfs. You two were safe and together nothing else matters from now. Only the love and devotion you two had for each other.

what's a little ink?
pairing: han jisung x reader
word count: 7.3k
summary: you wanted the upper hand. you came for a tattoo. you also came for him. and somehow you ended up in his hoodie, eating his eggs, and wondering how a bet turned into this stupid, soft thing you just can’t resist wanting
tags: tattoo artist au, friends to lovers, fluff and smut. porn with plot. sweet, sappy, and gross romance. enjoy
requested by @burlesquerade hope u like it honey

It all started with a simple, completely ridiculous bet. You and Han had been hanging out for hours, as you often did, swapping old stories and making fun of each other’s quirky habits. Laughter echoed around the cozy living room, the kind of laughter that was easy and natural, the way it always was when the two of you were together.
"Okay," Han said, a sly grin spreading across his face. He leaned forward, eyes glinting with that playful spark you knew all too well. "If you can beat me at this stupid game one more time, I will get you whatever you want as a prize."
You raised an eyebrow, already suspecting he might be setting you up for something ridiculous. "Whatever I want? Really?"
"Yep. No holds barred. You name it, and it’s yours," Han assured you, his tone full of confident mischief. "But if I win…" He paused for dramatic effect, leaning in so close you could feel the heat of his breath on your cheek. “You have to let me tattoo you.”
You snorted, shaking your head. “Tattoo me? Really? That’s your big gamble?”
Han’s smile grew wider. “I’m a tattoo artist, remember? It's a fair trade. I think you’re too scared to let me do it.”
You couldn’t help the laugh that escaped your lips, your fingers tapping idly on your cup. “Scared? Please. I’m not scared of a tattoo.”
His eyes narrowed, a challenge sparking in their depths. “Oh, so now you’re saying you can handle it? Alright then. You’re on. But we both know I’m going to win.”
You gave him a playful smirk. “Big talk for someone who has no idea what they’re up against.”
The game you were playing—a mix of cards, trivia, and guessing games—was silly, and it didn’t take long for the competition to become heated. But, much to your surprise, you did win. By a narrow margin, of course, but a win was a win.
Han’s mouth dropped open in disbelief, and you had to bite your lip to stop yourself from gloating too much. You had been expecting him to be smug, but now, as the reality of the situation sank in, you saw a flicker of something else cross his features.
“Alright, alright,” he muttered, trying to hide his grin. “You won. So what do you want?”
You leaned back in the chair, considering your options. There were so many things you could ask for—something extravagant, maybe—but you had been thinking about this for a while. Han had been inking people for years now, and you had always wondered what it would feel like to have him work on you.
So, you decided to go for it.
“I want a tattoo,” you said with a straight face, barely able to hide the excitement in your voice.
He blinked at you. “Wait… you’re serious?”
“Totally,” you answered, your grin impossible to hide. “You’re going to ink me, Han. And you can’t back out.”
He stared at you for a long moment, as if trying to make sure you weren’t joking, but then the challenge returned in his eyes.
“Well, if I have to do this, I get to choose where,” he said, his tone slightly mischievous. “No complaints, okay?”
You snorted, rolling your eyes. “Fine. As long as I get to decide what the design is, I’ll leave the location to you.”
Han smirked and held out his hand. “Deal.”
The text from Han came just before noon.
“Hope you’re not chickening out. Studio at 3. Wear something loose. ;)”
You stared at your phone longer than you meant to, heat crawling up your neck. Chickening out? Hardly. But that stupid winking face was another story. He always knew how to push just the right buttons—just enough to make your pulse quicken, just enough to stir things that should probably stay buried.
Still, you showed up. Of course you did.
His studio was tucked into a quiet side street downtown, its glass windows fogged slightly from the early spring chill. You had been here before—countless times, really—but never like this. Never with your skin on the line. Never with your heart threatening to beat out of your chest for reasons that had very little to do with ink or needles.
The soft chime above the door rang as you stepped in. Han was already inside, hunched over a sketchpad, his brows knitted in concentration. A pencil twirled between his fingers as he tapped it against his lower lip, eyes flicking to you the moment you walked in.
And just like that, the air shifted.
He smiled, slow and crooked. “You came. I’m impressed.”
“You told me to. I don’t exactly think that counts as bravery,” you replied, trying to play it cool, even though you were already peeling off your jacket, already catching the way his eyes flicked to your collarbone with something unreadable.
Han rose from his chair, brushing his fingers through his soft brown hair. “I sketched some ideas. Wanna see?”
You nodded, joining him by the desk where several sheets were spread out. The designs were delicate—subtle, intricate things, clearly drawn with you in mind. One of them caught your eye: a minimalist crescent moon nestled inside a trail of tiny stars, the lines fine and whisper-soft.
“I like this one,” you murmured, fingers brushing the paper.
“I thought you might.” His voice had dropped a bit. He was watching you closely, as if your reaction meant something more than approval. “It’s gentle. Quiet. But it lingers.”
You swallowed.
“I’ve decided where to put it,” he added after a beat, stepping closer.
“Oh?” you asked, lifting an eyebrow. “Do I get a hint?”
Han smiled, tilting his head just slightly as his eyes traveled—unapologetically—over your exposed shoulder, down the dip of your neck. “Upper shoulder. Right where it curves into your neck. Here.” He reached out, fingers grazing the exact spot, the barest ghost of a touch. “It’s a place you never see, but everyone else does. Intimate. Subtle. Kind of like the moon.”
You froze. It was a good idea—too good, actually. Because now, your body was responding to more than just nerves. The closeness. The delicacy in his voice. The way his fingertips lingered, resting there a heartbeat longer than necessary.
“I trust you,” you whispered, hoping it would ground you.
Han met your gaze. For once, he looked serious. “Then lie down for me.”
The chair was cold at first, the studio quiet but for the low murmur of music and the faint clatter of his tools. You lay on your side, hair pulled up and shirt slightly off one shoulder, baring the space where he would work. The air kissed your skin, but it was Han’s presence—his warmth—that you felt most acutely.
He cleaned the area with methodical care, the scent of alcohol and antiseptic somehow comforting. But it was the way his hand curved around your shoulder, the way his thumb brushed the nape of your neck, that made you hyper aware of every inch of yourself.
“You okay?” he asked softly.
“Mhmm.”
“Tell me if it hurts too much.”
You chose not to tell him that it already did—but not because of the needle.
As the machine buzzed to life, the first kiss of ink stung. You flinched, just slightly, and felt his other hand firm on your back in response. Steadying. Anchoring.
He worked in slow, precise strokes, the pressure rhythmic, hypnotic. But each time his fingers brushed your skin, each time his breath tickled your shoulder from how close he leaned—it lit something warm and aching inside you.
His voice broke through the quiet after a while, low and slightly hoarse. “You’re really still. Most people twitch like hell when it’s here.”
You exhaled, barely moving. “I think I just… don’t want to mess you up.”
“You couldn’t,” he murmured. And for a second, the machine paused. His hand stayed, resting lightly over the fresh lines. “You’re kind of perfect like this.”
Your breath caught.
You didn’t dare move. Didn’t dare ask what he meant. But in the pause between one stroke and the next, the silence pulsed—thick with something fragile, something not quite spoken yet.
He resumed working, but something had changed. His touches had always been skilled, steady, but now there was a new kind of deliberateness in the way his fingers slid across your skin—slower, more lingering, more aware. The buzz of the machine became background noise to the static dancing along your spine.
Your breath came shallow and controlled, each exhale purposeful, but no amount of focus could erase the way heat pooled low in your belly each time he adjusted your position, each time he leaned in just close enough that his breath grazed the shell of your ear.
"You’re warm," he said suddenly, voice barely audible over the low thrum of music.
You tilted your head, cheek brushing the leather of the chair. “Is that your way of saying I’m sweating too much?”
A quiet laugh. "No." He wiped the spot gently, fingers spread wide against your upper back. “Just saying... your skin feels alive.”
You bit the inside of your cheek, willing yourself not to shiver.
He paused to dip the needle again, but his other hand stayed pressed against you—thumb dragging absently along the edge of your spine. And then, as though the words slipped free without permission, he added, “It’s kind of driving me crazy.”
The machine stilled. Your eyes snapped open.
“What?”
Han blinked, as if he had not meant to say it aloud. But the corner of his mouth lifted anyway, a half-smile that was equal parts sheepish and satisfied. “Nothing. Just... hard to stay focused when you’re under my hands like this.”
Your pulse spiked. “You’re the one who insisted on choosing the placement.”
“Maybe I wanted an excuse to touch you like this. To drive you crazy”
The air between you crackled. He was close now—too close. His hand still rested against your skin, fingers slightly curled as if resisting the urge to grip tighter. You felt it in your bones: the shift from friendly banter to something heavier. Something hungry.
The tattoo needle remained idle, forgotten for the moment.
Your voice came soft, but steady. “Are you always this... handsy when you’re working?”
He leaned in slowly, slowly, until his mouth hovered just behind your ear. “Only when the canvas makes it impossible not to be.”
Your breath caught. You could feel the heat of him, the deliberate pause before he moved again—not toward his tools, but toward you. His hand slid from your shoulder, knuckles brushing the side of your throat in a line so featherlight it made your skin pebble.
Your voice was barely above a whisper. “You said you wanted to drive me crazy, too.”
“Is it working?” he murmured.
You closed your eyes, exhaling. “I think you already know the answer.”
Han chuckled under his breath, but there was a tightness in it—like restraint stretched thin. Still, he didn’t kiss you. Didn’t push further. Instead, he pressed a hand to your waist and guided you gently back into place, the spell not broken, only deferred.
“I should finish,” he said, almost hoarse.
You nodded, breathless. “Yeah. Finish.”
But every second after that was charged. Every brush of his hand, every hum of the machine, every stolen glance when you dared to peek up at him—all of it thrummed with the knowledge that something had shifted. And neither of you could pretend it hadn’t.
You lost track of time. Moments bled into minutes, drawn out by the quiet rhythm of his work and the unspoken weight between you.
By the time he shut off the machine, your body felt like it had become a tuning fork—tight with tension, humming with everything unsaid.
“That’s it, you're done,” Han said quietly, voice thick.
He reached for a clean cloth, gently dabbing the inked area. The sting had dulled into a soft ache, but the way his hand moved over your skin—slow, deliberate, reverent—was what left you breathless.
He lingered there, thumb brushing just above the fresh lines. “You did good. Barely moved.”
You shifted onto your elbows slightly, twisting to catch his face. “Is that praise, or are you just surprised I didn’t faint?”
His gaze met yours. For a second, he said nothing. Then, a smile tugged at his lips—but it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“You’re a lot tougher than you let on.”
You sat up, pulling the collar of your shirt gently over one shoulder. “Maybe you just bring it out of me.”
Han stood there, still holding the cloth, still watching you with that unreadable expression. The tension between you was no longer subtle. It stretched between your bodies like a wire, thin and tight, vibrating with things neither of you had said out loud.
You looked away first.
“Let me pay you,” you said, reaching for your bag.
“Don’t,” he interrupted. “This wasn’t about that.”
Your fingers froze on the strap. You turned slowly. “Then what was it about?”
He hesitated, jaw tight. The weight in his gaze softened for a beat—something bare flickering through, like he wanted to say everything but chose instead to say:
“I wanted something of mine on you.”
The words landed in your chest like a drop of ink in water—sinking, blooming.
You didn’t respond right away. The silence folded around you again, but it was thick, pulsing, the air saturated with all the ways you almost touched.
Finally, you smiled, small but real. “Well... now you’ve got it.”
He laughed under his breath, but it was quieter this time. A little more careful. “Yeah. Guess I do.”
You moved toward the mirror, pulling your shirt slightly aside to see the finished piece that now lay protected by second skin. The crescent moon curved delicately against your skin, soft as a secret, sharp as a wish you hadn’t meant to speak aloud.
It was beautiful. It was everything you could have asked for.
You caught Han watching your reflection—eyes fixed not just on the ink, but the shape of you, the moment of you. Like he had never really allowed himself to look until now.
And still... he did nothing. And neither did you.
Just two bodies, standing too close, tied together by a single piece of ink and a silence that spoke louder than anything else.
You turned from the mirror, fingers brushing down the edge of your collar one last time. The skin was still tender beneath your touch, but not as tender as the weight in your chest.
“I should go,” you said, voice a little too light. A little too careful.
Han nodded once, but he did not move from where he stood. “Right. It’s late.”
You moved toward the door, bag slung over your shoulder, shoes forgotten under the bench. The silence followed you like smoke—slow and curling and hard to breathe through. You could feel his eyes on your back.
But just as your hand touched the knob, you paused.
“…I’m not usually like this.”
The words escaped before you could catch them.
Han’s voice came from behind you, lower now. “Like what?”
You didn’t turn to face him. “This affected.”
A beat.
Then: “Me neither.”
You turned then. Slowly. He was closer than he’d been a moment ago. Still not touching. Still not reaching.
But close.
The streetlights from outside filtered through the frosted windows, casting soft shadows over his face—his expression was unreadable again, but his eyes were not. They were dark and warm and searching. Like he wanted to speak with his hands instead of his mouth.
“I should walk you out,” he offered.
“I don’t need—”
“I know.” A pause. Then, his voice was gentler, “Let me anyway.”
You nodded.
He opened the door, and the cool air of the hallway hit your skin like a shock—like stepping out of a dream. The clack of your shoes echoed softly as you both walked, side by side, neither of you speaking.
You reached the door to the street. The city breathed on the other side. Stillness clung to the space between you like fog.
“Hey,” Han called, just as you stepped onto the threshold. His voice pulled you back. “Wait.”
You turned, heart stuttering.
He was standing close again. Too close. The kind of close that felt deliberate. His hand hovered near your waist, fingers flexing once, like he was debating whether to touch you again.
He didn’t.
Instead, his voice dropped. “If I kiss you right now… would that mess things up?”
Your breath hitched.
The world held its breath with you.
You let the silence stretch. Let the ache of it crawl up your spine. And then you said—quietly, honestly:
“I think not kissing me might mess things up more.”
And still—still—he did not kiss you. He only looked at you like he wanted to memorize the moment, the space between your mouths, the way you had just told him everything without saying it outright.
He smiled, slow and heavy with intent. “Then maybe I’ll wait until it really ruins me.”
Your throat went dry.
“Night,” he murmured, stepping back.
And just like that, the door closed between you.
But your heart stayed in his hands.
It was past midnight when your phone lit up.
"You still awake?"
You stared at the screen, thumb hovering, heart already answering before you could.
"i never really went to sleep"
Three dots appeared, then vanished. Then again.
"Me neither"
A beat of no incoming messages passed, then:
"I'm keeping myself up thinking about earlier''
Your breath caught.
"the tattoo?"
"Not exactly.."
You didn't respond right away. You didn’t have to. The air in your room had changed—thicker, tighter, like his voice might pour from the cracks in the wall's paint if you leaned in close enough.
And then the screen lit up again—this time, a call, to which you answered—not after panicking for a few seconds, of course.
“…Hey.” You whispered into the microphone.
His voice was low, rough from too many unsent words. “You looked good tonight.”
You swallowed the simmering embarrassment down. “You saw a lot of skin.”
“Not the part I meant.”
A silence stretched. Not awkward—intimate. It curled through the receiver like warm breath against your neck.
“Come by tomorrow,” he said finally. “I need to check your tattoo.”
“You just want to touch me again.”
“I'm not gonna sit here and lie to you by saying I didn't love every second of touching you. Come by tomorrow, please?”
Your skin flared at the bluntness. There was no smirk in his tone. No teasing this time. Just heat. Quiet and real.
You whispered, “Okay.”
The next day, you were back at his studio.
You told yourself it was just for aftercare, but the second you walked in, saw the way he looked up at you—eyes dark and steady—you knew you were both done pretending.
“Shirt,” he said softly, gesturing to the seat.
You sat. You peeled the fabric from your shoulder, the same stretch of skin that had sparked the night before and haunted his thoughts since. His hands were gloved, but his touch still felt like bare electricity.
He leaned in, inspecting the ink, but the space between you crackled. “Looks good,” he murmured. “You’ll heal fast.”
“So I can go?” you teased, voice thinner than usual.
He gave you no answer. Just peeled off the gloves, tossed them aside, and placed his bare hand against your back—palm flat, warm. Possessive.
“You came back,” he said. “That’s what I wanted.”
You turned your head, letting your cheek rest against your shoulder, watching him. “I did as I was told, Han. So what now?”
Han stepped around to face you. He reached up and touched your chin, tilting your face to his. The air between you shrank to nothing.
“Now I kiss you.”
And this time, he did.
His mouth was warm, unhurried, like he was tasting something he had waited weeks to touch. His fingers cradled your jaw, and you melted into it, into him, into the truth that had been aching beneath your skin for days.
He pulled back, just an inch.
“Still messing things up?” he asked, breath brushing your lips.
You smiled. “Only in the best way.”
The kiss tasted like every moment that came before it—charged, aching, sweet with restraint. His mouth moved against yours like a secret unraveling, like he had memorized the shape of your lips before ever daring to touch them.
You leaned into him, fingers curling into his shirt, pulling him closer like instinct. Like gravity. Han followed the movement without hesitation, one hand sliding around your waist, the other brushing the side of your neck—soft, reverent, as if you might vanish if he held you too tightly.
When he pulled back, just enough to breathe, your foreheads touched. Your eyes stayed closed.
“You have no idea what you’ve been doing to me,” he whispered.
You opened your eyes. “Then show me.”
The words cracked something open between you. Quickly, he sat beside you on the tattoo bed and pulled you onto his lap.
He kissed you again—deeper now, his hands no longer tentative. One slid under your shirt, fingers warm against the small of your back, the other braced at your hip like he needed the anchor. You shifted in his lap, and before you realized you had even moved, he groaned low in his throat at the feel of you straddling him, bodies pressed with no space between.
Still, he slowed. Just for a breath.
“You okay?” he asked, voice rough.
You nodded, nose brushing his. “More than.”
His lips returned to the bare side of your throat—soft at first, then with the scrape of teeth. Your hands threaded into his hair as you tilted your head for him, shivering when he dragged his mouth down the slope of your shoulder.
“Han,” you breathed.
He stilled for a moment, forehead pressed against your skin.
“I’ve wanted this,” he said. “But not just this.”
You stilled, heart thudding.
“I want every version of you,” he continued. “The fire, the softness, the silence. I want the way you look at me when I'm not looking. I want the way you talk like you are not afraid but touch like you’re terrified.”
You exhaled, chest caving. “You noticed everything?"
“I tried not to.”
He leaned back to meet your gaze. His hands moved with more intent now, but still gentle—still you-first. His thumbs traced the curve of your hips beneath your shirt, and you shivered under the slow build of it.
And then, still holding your waist, he laid you back against the padded bench—carefully, gracefully—like you were something rare. Like he had dreamed of this exact moment in the quiet between days.
Your shirt came off slowly, inch by inch. His hands explored like a map he was finally allowed to touch. Every kiss was a promise: I will not rush this. I will learn you inch by inch. I will memorize every sigh.
When his mouth found yours again, the kiss burned hotter—teeth clashing gently, breath shared. You tugged at his shirt, and he pulled it over his head in one clean motion, your hands already seeking skin, already desperate to feel.
Still, even in the heat, he slowed now and then—traced your ribs with a single finger, kissed the inside of your wrist. Whispers scattered between kisses.
“I want you,” he said. “But I also want you.”
You arched into him, fingertips splayed across his back, heart wide open. “You have me.”
The second his shirt hit the floor, your hands were on him—tracing the taut muscle beneath warm skin, nails catching just enough to make him hiss. His mouth was back on yours before you could take your next breath, more forceful now, more needy. Tongue sliding against yours with a hunger that made your spine arch and your legs tighten around his hips.
Han groaned when he felt it—your thighs drawing him in like a vice, like you already knew exactly how this would end.
“Fuck,” he murmured against your mouth. “You feel too good.”
“You haven’t even felt me yet,” you whispered back.
His eyes darkened.
He pulled you up in one fluid motion, strong hands gripping your thighs as he laid you down atop the workbench, your back pressed against cool wood, your skin burning beneath his palms.
He kissed down your throat, not slow anymore. Messy, greedy, open-mouthed kisses that left your pulse stuttering. He bit lightly at the curve where your shoulder met your neck, and you gasped—head tipping back, legs spreading instinctively, begging for more contact, more friction, more.
His hands slipped beneath the band of your pants, thumbs dragging over the sensitive skin at your hips.
“These need to come off,” he growled, voice thick with want. “Right fucking now.”
You lifted your hips to help, letting him tug them down along with your underwear in one swift motion. The heat in his gaze when he looked at you—all of you—bare on his table, flushed and panting, legs spread for him like it was the most natural thing in the world—
It made your stomach flip, made your core throb.
“You’re gorgeous,” he said, like he was angry about it. “So fucking pretty and wet already, and I haven’t even touched you properly.”
“Then do it,” you whispered. “Touch me.”
And he did.
One hand pressed your thigh open, the other sliding between your legs, fingers stroking through your slick folds in a rhythm that was maddeningly light. He teased your clit with the pad of his thumb, watching the way your hips jerked, your mouth parted around soft gasps.
“You gonna let me make you come with just my fingers first?” he murmured, leaning close, breath hot against your ear. “Wanna feel you grip them before I fuck you. Want you so messy I can’t think straight.”
You whimpered, back arching. “Yes—please, Han—”
He slid one finger in, slow, letting you feel the stretch. Then two. Then a curl of his knuckles that had you crying out, your hands scrabbling for purchase on the edge of the table.
“That’s it,” he groaned. “Grind on my fingers. Let me see how desperate you are.”
You did—hips rocking, thighs trembling, your core clenching around him as he worked you open with deliberate pressure, circling your clit with his thumb until the pressure built fast and dizzying.
“I can feel you getting close,” he said against your throat. “You gonna come for me, baby? Right here on the table where I ink people’s skin?”
“Fuck—Han—yes—”
You shattered with a cry, legs shaking, body arching against his mouth as he kissed you through it—murmuring things you could barely process, words lost in the white-hot rush.
And when you finally came down, breath heaving, he leaned back and licked his fingers clean with a satisfied smirk.
“Think you’re ready for my cock now?”
You nodded, dazed. “Please.”
He undid his belt with one hand, gaze locked to yours as he stroked himself—slow, thick, already slick from the sight of you. Then he lined up, ran the head through your folds once, twice, teasing your oversensitive clit just to watch you twitch—
And then he pushed in.
You both groaned—deep, guttural—like relief and hunger all at once. He filled you in one slow, brutal thrust, burying himself to the hilt.
You were soaked. Sore. Already wrecked.
But he did not stop.
He fucked you—hard, deep, each thrust lifting your hips from the table, your hands clawing at his back, your moans turning to whimpers, then cries. His name over and over.
Your moans spilled out in sobs as your second climax hit you like a dam bursting. It was hot—blinding—your release painting his cock in pulsing waves, your entire body locking up beneath him. All the hunger, the want, the times of aching tension you had swallowed back whenever he so much as looked at you with those dark, unreadable eyes—it all came out in that moment. You clenched tight around him, and he groaned loud and low, his head dropping to your shoulder.
“God—look at you,” he rasped, voice wrecked, pride and awe tangled in every word. “So good for me. So perfect when you come.”
But then, his hips stopped to a jarring halt. He was still buried inside you, forehead pressed to yours, breath ragged. You could feel the tension in his body—every muscle taut, his hips stuttering in that way that told you he was right on the edge, right there—
But holding back. Just for you.
You cupped his jaw, breathless but steadying. “You didn’t come.”
He shook his head, eyes fluttering. “Wanted to feel you first. Wanted to see—fuck—how tight you get when you come around me.”
Your body gave a little twitch at the memory, still oversensitive, still full. But a flicker of something else lit behind your eyes.
You kissed him—slow and deep—and then, with a sly smile, clenched around him deliberately.
He choked on a moan, arms trembling where they braced beside your head.
“Baby—don’t—”
“You always so in control?” you whispered, brushing your lips along his jaw, down his throat. “Or are you just that good at hiding when you want to break?”
He groaned, head falling to your shoulder. “Please—fuck—”
You rolled your hips beneath him, just a little. Just enough.
“You’re still so hard,” you murmured, voice thick with satisfaction. “Still deep inside me like you need to be. You want to come? Want to fill me up?”
“God—yes.”
“Then allow me.”
You pushed him gently, and he let you—collapsing back into the chair beside the bench, cock glistening and flushed as it slipped free, twitching with the aftershocks of restraint. He barely had time to breathe before you dropped to your knees between his legs and wrapped your hand around him—tight, slow strokes from base to tip that had him gasping and clenching the arms of the chair.
“You look so pretty like this,” you murmured, kissing the head of his cock, licking the slit just to taste the salt of him.
His hips bucked and he cursed—head thrown back, abs tensing.
“Sensitive already, aren’t you?” you purred.
“I’m gonna—fuck—I’m gonna come—”
You took him into your mouth before he could finish the sentence—deep and warm, tongue swirling as you bobbed your head, one hand cupping his balls, the other pressing down gently on his hip to keep him from thrusting.
He was loud now, whimpering, begging, gasping your name like prayer.
And when he came—god—
It was with a broken moan, back arching, thighs shaking under your palms. You swallowed everything, licked your lips, and looked up at him through your lashes as he tried to remember how to breathe.
His eyes were glassy, hair clinging to his forehead, chest rising in jagged waves.
You smiled. “Still in control?”
He laughed—wrecked, breathless. “Fuck no.”
You climbed into his lap again, your bare skin still warm, flushed and tingling, and curled against him with a quiet little hum.
He wrapped his arms around you like instinct. And then, softly:
“Round two’s gonna ruin us both.”
You grinned against his neck. “Good.”
The studio held comfortable silence for a moment.
Only your breathing filled the space—shallow and warm, mingling with his where you straddled him on the tattoo bed again, skin flushed and shining in the low amber glow of the work light. The air smelled like sweat and sex, care, and ink—hot, heavy, and honest.
Han was still beneath you, arms slack, mouth parted. His chest heaved, his cock softening between your thighs.
You dragged your fingers along the lines of his jaw, smug and satisfied. “Speechless?”
He blinked once. Then again. Something shifted in his eyes.
“No,” he rasped. “Just… trying not to fuck you so hard this bed breaks.”
You laughed softly—until his hands shot to your hips and slammed you down onto his thigh.
You gasped, the sudden friction making your oversensitive body jolt.
“I let you ruin me once,” he growled, voice low and wrecked. “Your turn now.”
You barely had time to react before he stood, arms beneath your thighs, lifting you like nothing. Your back hit the nearest wall—your bare skin flush to cool concrete, legs wrapped around his waist, his cock already hardening between you again.
“What—Han—”
“You think you can just look at me like that,” he snarled against your neck, grinding up between your soaked folds. “Touch me like you own me. And then walk out of here? Nah.”
You shivered. His cock pressed right against your entrance.
“Han—”
“Look at me.”
You did.
He didn't give you a warning. Just a brutal promise, growled against your skin; “I’m gonna fuck you so good you’ll forget your own name—but still remember mine when your hands are between your legs for weeks after.”
Then he was inside you again—deep—in one smooth, merciless thrust, hips snapping forward so hard your back hit the wall with a dull thud.
You gasped—high and breathless—arms clinging to his shoulders, nails biting into skin.
“Han—fuck—”
He caught your cry in a kiss that was anything but sweet. All tongue, teeth, and desperation, lips crushed to yours like he needed your breath to survive.
Your walls fluttered around him already—sensitive from the first round, still dripping wet and raw, but ready despite the ache. He filled you so completely, so perfectly, it stole the air from your lungs.
“I felt this pussy clench around my fingers,” he groaned, pulling back just enough to slam into you again. “But it’s nothing—nothing—compared to how you grip my cock. So fucking tight. So wet.”
You moaned—helpless—every part of your body trembling as he started to move.
Hard. Fast. Focused.
Your back scraped against the wall with every thrust, the studio echoing with the filthy slap of skin on skin, the sound of your choked gasps and his rough groans.
“You want control?” he hissed, fingers digging into the underside of your thighs, forcing them open wider. “Then take it.”
He pulled out.
You nearly cried from the loss.
Then he moved you back to the table, your knees hitting the workbench edge as he turned you, bent you forward, pressed your chest flat to the table.
You barely had time to breathe before he plunged back inside from behind, the new angle making you cry out, high and broken.
“Louder!” he commanded. “Let the whole damn building know how good I fuck you.”
And louder you were when he found that spot inside you—over and over again, the pace brutal and relentless.
He gripped your hips, pulling you back to meet every thrust, the obscene sound of your slick arousal growing louder with every stroke. Your legs started to buckle—nerves frayed, every inch of your skin alight.
“F-fuck—Han—I can’t—too much—”
“You can. You’re taking it like a fucking dream,” he rasped, reaching down, rubbing your clit in tight, wet circles that made your vision blur.
Your whole body tightened—shaking, clenching, desperate to come again, and again—
He leaned over you, lips to your ear, voice hoarse:
“Come on my cock again, baby. Milk it. Let me feel that pretty pussy worship me.”
And you did.
You shattered—body convulsing, mouth open in a silent scream as you came hard, squeezing him so tight he cursed and slammed into you with one final, brutal thrust.
He came with a shout—loud, raw, high—hips jerking as he spilled inside you, his hands fisting in your hair, his teeth grazing your shoulder.
You stayed like that for a moment.
Ruined. One tangled, sweaty, aching mess.
Then his hands softened—smoothed up your back, traced the curves of your hips like reverence.
He pressed a kiss between your shoulder blades.
“…Still remember your name?”
You laughed, wrecked and breathless.
“Remind me?" you whispered.
You did not remember collapsing—just that one moment he was still inside you, and the next, you were draped across the tattoo bed like laundry left out to dry. Your skin tingled, nerves alight, thighs sticky and trembling, your mind still floating somewhere just above your body.
And Han?
Han was slumped in the chair again, legs spread, one arm thrown dramatically over his face.
“Jesus Christ,” he muttered into the crook of his elbow. “I think I blacked out. You short-circuited me.”
You snorted, face still pressed to the cool surface of the bench. “You short-circuited me. I’m literally leaking.”
He scooted the chair to get a full view of what you were talking about, eyes glassy but mischievous. “Good. I want it dripping down your thighs next time you show up in those little skirts you wear.”
You blinked. “Next time?”
Han grinned, wicked and lazy. “Oh, baby. This is so not a one-time thing. I’m gonna put a stamp on you like a repeat customer loyalty card.”
You rolled onto your side, raising a brow. “You’re gonna fuck me five times and give me a discount on a flash piece?”
He laughed—loudly. Like you caught him off guard. “God, you’re a menace.”
“You’re the menace. Who says that shit mid-stroke?” you shot back, mimicking his earlier line with mock dramatics: “‘Forget your own name but still remember mine?’ Who writes you?”
He leaned forward, dragging his fingers up your bare spine. “No one writes me. I just improvise.”
You narrowed your eyes. “So… you freestyled your way into making me cum thrice and see stars?”
He winked. “What can I say? I’ve got bars and stamina.”
You smacked him with a rolled-up paper towel, but he caught your wrist and pulled you into his lap, arms curling around your waist like he never wanted to let you go.
Then—softer, like he almost did not mean to say it aloud:
“…I really like you.”
You stilled, looked over to him and kissed him gently, pouring every single ounce of reciprocation your being had to offer him. Because maybe he was a cocky, ridiculous, and insatiable man—but he was your cocky, ridiculous, and insatiable man.
Even when he was a little bit of a menace.
The silence after pulling away was heavy—not the uncomfortable kind, more like an exhale. A shared, serene stillness, your heartbeat slowing while his lips ghosted along your jaw, your collarbone, the tender edge of your throat.
He had not moved far.
Still close. Still inside your gravity.
Then Han shifted, propping his head on one elbow which rested on the arm of the chair, eyes sweeping your face like he was memorizing something. His fingers moved before his mouth did—brushing a strand of hair behind your ear, thumb dragging down your cheek.
“Hey,” he said quietly.
You blinked up at him, still dazed. “Hey.”
He hesitated—not out of uncertainty, but because this, somehow, felt bigger than everything you both had already done.
“You don’t have to go home tonight.”
You blinked. “Huh?”
His voice stayed soft, careful, “I mean… you could stay. With me.”
You stared.
He rushed to fill the silence, eyes darting between yours.
“Not just for more of this—though God, don’t get me wrong, I want more of this—but like. We could crash at my place. Order food. You could steal my hoodie. Wake up and make terrible coffee together. You could see what I’m like in the morning. Spoiler: not sexy. Kind of grumpy. But you’re good with chaos, right?”
You laughed—but something in your chest ached, cracked just a little.
Because he meant it—this wasn’t just about lust anymore. Not even about proximity or chemistry.
It was a choice.
He was asking you to stay, to see him past the high, into the quiet.
You leaned up, kissed him once—slow and certain.
“I’ll stay,” you whispered.
And the way he looked at you then—hopeful and smug and so unmistakably fond—made you feel warmer than anything else that night.
Sunlight crept in like it was in on a secret, painting lazy gold across your bare shoulder.
You stirred, slowly, blinking awake to the smell of coffee and something warm—eggs?—cooking in the kitchen nook. Your body ached, in all the right places. Inner thighs sore. Lips swollen. A fingerprint or five pressed like stamps into your hips. You stretched, wincing slightly, and smiled.
And Han—God, Han—was nowhere in the bed, but his hoodie had been draped over your legs like a blanket, his scent wrapped around you like a sigh.
You slipped it on, oversized and soft, sleeves swallowing your hands, and padded barefoot across the polished concrete toward the sound of gentle humming and the clatter of a pan.
Han stood with his back to you—shirtless, hair wild and sticking up in twenty-seven different directions, tattoos flexing as he flipped something in a pan. There were two mugs of coffee already out. One black. The other just the way you liked it.
You leaned on the doorway, biting your smile.
He sensed you, because of course he did.
“You’re up,” he murmured, glancing over his shoulder. And then, softer, like he couldn’t help himself: “Fuck, you look good in my hoodie.”
You padded up behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist, pressing your face on his nape.
“You’re feeding me. You really trying to make me fall in love with you?”
He chuckled, flipping the egg once again with a practiced hand. “That was the plan, yeah. Ruin your body, then win your heart with food.”
You laughed against his skin. “Tactical.”
He turned the stove off and turned in your arms, resting his hands low on your hips, looking down at you with sleepy warmth in his eyes. You felt it then—not just the physical closeness, but the easiness of it. The comfort. The pull.
“You staying the whole day?” he asked, voice quiet now, vulnerable in that way he rarely let show.
You nodded, brushing your lips over his collarbone.
“Only if you kiss me like that again,” you teased.
He grinned.
And did just that—slow, sweet, a kiss with no agenda other than to keep you there.
Later, with your stomach full, your limbs loose and drowsy from the best kind of indulgence, you found yourself curled up on the couch—Han’s head in your lap, your fingers absentmindedly playing with the messy strands of his hair.
Some terrible movie was playing on his television. Neither of you was really watching it. The remote lay forgotten on the floor. His fingers traced idle patterns on the bare skin beneath your borrowed hoodie, the both of you half-clothed, half-tangled, fully comfortable.
“This is dangerous,” you murmured.
Han cracked one eye open. “What is?”
“This. Us. You looking at me like I hung the stars and made your coffee.”
He smirked without moving. “You did, though. Kind of. That coffee was perfect.”
You rolled your eyes, but your cheeks warmed anyway.
His expression softened, gaze dropping to where his hand rested just beneath your ribs. “You should let me tattoo you again,” he said after a long beat.
You looked down at him. “Now?”
“No,” he smiled, “not now. But someday. Something small. Just for me. Somewhere only I get to see.”
Your stomach flipped at the idea. You tried to play it off. “That’s a lot of trust, letting you draw on me permanently.”
His fingers slid a little lower, dangerously close to a place that still pulsed with the memory of last night.
“You already let me ruin you once,” he said with a grin. “What’s a little ink?”
You snorted, swatting at him half-heartedly. “You’re so full of yourself.”
“And you’re still here,” he countered easily, nuzzling into your thigh like he belonged there. Like he always had.
You sighed contently as you carded your fingers through his hair again.
“Yeah,” you whispered, half to him, half to yourself.
“And I'm here to stay.”
drops this in your hands and runs off into the sunset

Boyfriend!Jake x pregnant fem!reader
Fluff
Warnings: Pregnancy, mentions of pregnancy nausea, kissing, redear is scared of Jake’s reaction about her pregnancy

Your boyfriend was Sim Jake from Enhypen. Currently, they were performing at coachella for the second week. You were backstage watching your boyfriend give everything he had. Every time his part came up, you were squealing like a little girl. You loved seeing him perform.
Once Bite Me started playing, meaning that the show was coming to an end, you suddenly felt the urge to go to the bathroom.
For the past week you've been feeling pretty sick all though you didn’t have any symptoms of a sickness other than nausea. You decided to go to the doctor to check up on it, only to find out you were 4 weeks pregnant. You were shocked by the news but at that moment you were as happy as ever.
You rushed to the bathroom, hoping you'll be back soon enough to greet your boyfriend once he comes backstage.
The performance ended, and the boys started to wave off fans. Once the lights turned off, Jake ran backstage. Eyes wondering everywhere to spot you, but you were nowhere to be found. He started to worry a bit since this wasn't like you. You would always wait for him so he could get that sweet smile of yours, that made him fall for you even harder every time, and that hug that he always wanted to melt in.
He decided to ask a stuff member that he knew you were close with, if she knew where you had gone. She told him in a worried tone that you went to the bathroom with your hand on your mouth, and that was the only thing he had to hear. He muttered a light curse under his breath and went straight to the bathroom.
Just as he got there you opened the bathroom door and came out. You were a bit pale but once you saw him your face lit up. You gave him a big smile and started to speak but he cut you off.
"Jakey! I'm sorry for-"
"Is it what I think it is?" His face serious and a hint of worry behind his eyes
"What are you talking about?"
"Y/n, why did you rush to the bathroom like that?"
You looked into his eyes, trying to understand what he was thinking. Many thoughts were running in your mind. Is he going to break up with you because of the pregnancy? No way, Jake would never do that. What about his career? Will fans accept the news, or will they unstan the group? They knew that you and Jake were together, but this was a big step you were taking.
Jake saw the way your eyebrows furrowed, the way you bit your bottom lip, the way you were looking at something nonexistent on the floor. He understood that you were thinking about something and how you were scared to tell him about it. He decided to push you a little more to see if you would open up to him.
"Hey, baby," he said in a soft voice. You finally met his eyes. He had this small grin on his face. The one that you loved. He took your hands in his, and he continued talking. "You know that whatever it is, you can tell me, right? Isn't that what we have promised each other? Talk about everything that's bothering us? Hm?"
That was really a promise you and Jake had made. And you didn’t want to break it. But you were scared. Maybe more than you should but you couldn’t control it.
"Jake, I didn't want you to find out like this... but since there's no turning back now..." Jake was getting worried. You were off the past week, and he had noticed it. Running to the bathroom quite often, having many mood swings. He couldn't wrap a finger as to why you were behaving like that, and once he heard the beginning of what you started to say, he was panicking. Was it something that serious?
You exhaled deeply. "Jake... I'm pregnant." You quickly returned to looking at the floor. Jake’s eyes widened. You were pregnant? With his baby? So after all, it wasn’t something serious. It was something he should be happy about. Something that he wanted to experience with you only. Why were you so scared of telling him, tho?
The silence was heavy. He was processing what you had just said, but that said silence made your thoughts even worse. Before you could think of another possible situation, Jake lifted his hands in the air, forming punches. You looked up at him confused. He had this wide smile on his face, and then he started yelling, "I'm gonna be a dad! I'm really gonna be a dad. Haha, I can't believe it. " Before you could react, he lifted you up in his arms in a hug and started spinning you around. Then suddenly he put you down with a face full of worry. "Oh my god, are you okay? I'm sorry I got excited! I shouldn't have done that! Did I hurt you in any way?"
You stared at him. Your eyes wider than when you had done the pregnancy test. All the possible scenarios in your head had not prepared you for this one.
"You-you mean that you are happy?" Still in pure shock.
"Why wouldn't I! We're going to be parents! We're gonna have our own little baby!"
You just stared at him. Was this really true?
"Bu-but what about the fans and your career and-" he cut you off with the sweetest kiss on your lips. He didn't back away. He was waiting for you to kiss back. After a bit, you gave in and kissed back. He smiled in the kiss, and so did you. He paused for a bit. "You don't have to worry about the fans. I know that they'll accept it and be happy for us. And whoever isn't can just leave. I dont care. I have everything right here." He said while having one of his hands on your cheek and the other on your tummy. Your shoulders relaxed from the stiffness that you didn't know you were holding. Jake saw that and leaned in for another kiss, hoping for you to understand how much he loves you.
He slowly pulled back. His eyes shone brighter than usual. His puppy like features popped out even more with his excitement. If he had a tail, it would be wobbling like crazy. He started jumping up and down.
"Let's go tell the guys! I can't hide my excitement!" It was obvious that he was extremely excited and you couldn’t hold back a smile. Once he saw you smile he melted. "I hope that our baby has your smile" he said while putting a strand of your hair behind your ear. "I love you so much". His eyes were full of love and you knew that your baby would have the best dad in the while universe. "I love you even more baby". He hugged you and you stayed like that for a while. With all the love surrounding you both and the warm feeling of your little family that you were starting.

Spring Equinox
Starting Hours
"What did he say?"
Vern is quiet, his chest aches like his heart is carrying stones. "Koa, I'll go head.. you um.. stay here and wait."
"Pardon? That would be unwise, considering-"
"-I will command it," the sprite shoves his phone away.
The elk stares at him for a few moments, waiting. Firm silence meets the familiar. Taking a step back, Koa flicks his ear. Vern can feel the small pull as the elk gathers magic at his antlers before slicing the air open. He places a reassuring hand on Koa and gives the elk a smile that doesn't reach his eyes.
Swallowing the dull ache, Vern steps through the portal. His stomach churns with it. Pausing, he takes deliberate breaths, allowing his surroundings to come into focus.
Everything is loud, bustling. The wind from the mountains is a little warmer. Even the sun seems to shine brighter. Another year, another Equinox. He has to see Shirley first, the Southern Street.
His feet carry him down the familiar brick street. It's uneven, easy for grass and flowers to slip through the cracks. He takes his time to talk with any who greet him. Part of him hoping to delay the inevitable.
Humans and fae alike are crammed around Shirley's studio. They're there for the distillery next door. It makes his ears ring and getting to his sister's store difficult. Too many glance overs, too many questions. He sighs heavily when the door to the studio shuts behind him.
"There you are!!!"
Vern lets Shirley abruptly squeeze him. He mentally notes that she seems taller. "I said I would be..."
She releases him, glancing behind him, "where's Sil-Sil?"
"E-excuse me?"
"Oh! Uh, Silver," she laughs and drags Vern towards the back. "I gave him a nickname."
He's quiet as he looks over the two outfits in front of him, "he... will um... be here later..."
"Oh," Shirley almost sounds deflated, "I'm sorry-"
"-What's with the blue dress?"
"I wanted to like get ahead of things so... I started on it," she seems happy as she shows him some floral details. "So like, I don't have the accessories in for it yet, but I'm totally thinking of like... matching it with the details around the neckline! Don't worry, I already thought of silk gloves-"
Vern's chest tightens. His stomach is in knots as it plummets. "Shirley, it's... it's beautiful... but we haven't decided on anything..."
"Er.. w-well... I know, but like... I'll just shove this one back into the closet."
He nods as she steps away. Turning his attention to the glittering gold details of the other outfit. It certainly screams spring. Muted greens with a pop of pale pink. The gold accessories look fairly heavy. Absently, he drags a finger through the tiny bells dangling from the metal hip accessory. The delicate chimes give him a little ease.
"I can help you put that all on! You'll like... totally need it"
"R-right..."
Shirley scribbles something on a piece of paper and hands it to Vern. "Here, the locks for the gold parts can seal with magic. Traditionally, that's like.. a spouse thing to do? Something about a protection spell. So... make sure Silver gets that."
"O-oh..." he nods as she brings him to the changing area. "I will..."
'What's wrong with me today? It's just another Equinox. Just another 24 hours. It's fine. I will be... no, I'm fine. It's just nerves and a bit of dread over Victor.... and mother's Willow's Wane. I'll have to visit Lux, Stravi, Gin, Sasha, Franz, and... I need to focus'
Ooc// hmm... this one is a bit more angsty than I meant... oh well!!!
Hm.. should I release the design for his equinox attire? I have the design version.. I could make a card... I'll have some time soon...
(We just gave them 2 birthday cards)
and? It looks cool!!

strange visit and a date night

pairing: Spencer Reid; reader; Derek Morgan
word count: 3,8k
story?: After Spencer runs to the grocery store to buy some things to have a date night with you, but, to surprise of both of you, agent Derek Morgan suddenly shows up at his door.
"alright so, eggs, flour, garlic, wine and tomato sauce, is that it?" he asks checking on the list you just gave him.
"perfect" you answer smiling.
"alright, I'll be back in a second" he says, kissing you softly while holding the back of your head gently. You smiled and let him get out of his own apartment. While waiting for him, you decided to do a little cleaning, you had already become a master in "Spencer Reid's ethics for deep cleaning a house", so cleaning the way he likes was easy as pi (as he would say).
While you were trying to get rid of a stain of sauce from a plate you heard a knock, honestly you just walked to the door you didn't even think about the knock not being Spence, so you opened it. There, standing in front of you, was a dark skin man, very tall and ripped, and bald.
You smiled and he looked surprised.
"uhm, I'm sorry, I think I got mixed with the numbers..." he said, checking again the number of the door. "mhm..weird"
"are you looking for Spencer Reid?" you asked, then you saw his face changing from confusion to super confusion.
"I am, yes"
"this is his apartment, he went grocery shopping"
"are you?...staying with him? or are you maybe being tutored or something?" "tutored?" you thought.
"no, I'm his... something" you said, you haven't discussed it yet...so it would be better to just leave it there.
He burst out laughing and held himself in the doorframe, you smiled, thinking it was funny.
"sorry, are you his friend?" you asked
"I'm Morgan, yes, I work with him" he said exchanging hands with you.
"oh!" now it all made sense "yes! of course, he always talks about you, come in please, if you wanna wait for him"
"I do! yes, thank you baby".
You closed the door and waited together for Spence while sipping coffee and chatting, being interrogated too "how'd you too meet?, how long have you been seeing each other?, do you live together?, why hasn't he said anything before?". So many questions you didn't know how far you could answer.
Then, you hear the sound of the keys opening the door.
"inflation is crazy, and old women should learn to calm down, that woman thought I wanted her stupid cat sand and we don't even-" he stood still, observing the image, you, his now 6 month old not girlfriend, and his womanizer attractive coworker, sitting on his couch together while apparently have been drinking the coffee he bought for you.
"hey pretty boy" says Morgan smiling "you didn't tell me you have a girlfriend"
"I uhm...what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to ask you if you- don't avoid my question!" he says standing up, are they gonna fight?, no, he'll finish Spence.
"it's private" he says leaving the bags and looking at you, you just smile, agreeing, it is private...well not so much because everyone knows but it's not like it's official.
"would you like to stay for dinner?" you ask.
"no!" shouts Spence from the kitchen, you and Morgan look at each other and chuckle.
"no, we had a date night planned" he says coming back to you both.
"alright, alright, I'll leave you too alone then...I came because I wanted to ask you where you buy your clothes, I need to wear something like your shirts to an event" he says.
"I'll send you the info later...just leave" he says pushing him out of the house, you laugh.
"goodbye princess" he says and you wave at him.
Spencer closes the door behind him standing with Morgan at the hallway.
"that's a pretty one you have there" says Morgan smiling
"she is, yeah, she's beautiful" Spencer says blushing
"why didn't you tell me?" Morgan asks
"it's just...I wanted to check this was real and not insignificant before saying anything"
"are you gonna ask her to be your girlfriend?" he smiles, he thinks Spence is such a girlfriend dude.
"I will...yeah, but I need to confirm she wants me to be her boyfriend first" he says
"I bet she'll say yes...so, date night huh?". Spence nods "what will your dessert be?" he asks laughing, Spence blushes but smiles and pushes him towards the elevator.
He waves goodbye to Morgan from outside the elevator and then comes back to you (as usual).
When he opens the door you're the first thing to his sight, taking out the groceries.
"so inflation is crazy?" you ask getting closer.
"yeah, and old ladies" he says pouting. "this was horrible, I never imagined Morgan would come to our house".
You smile at the sound of "our" house.
"let's start cooking for our super fun date night" you say and kiss him.
After Morgan leaves, you too start to cook. Tonight's menu is pasta! which you both love, now you're teaching him how to play with the seasonings and discover new flavors, you've made that since you got into Spencer's life, teach him how to experience, not only in cooking, in sports, your culture, places, and a lot of things Spencer always brought up when talking to the team unconsciously.
Now he's chopping garlic next to you, while you open the tomato bottle and pour it in the pot.
"you know? garlic is a great cleaner for the liver, in women it can help with vaginal infections, bloating from menstruation, it can even help the blood flow and It can help reduce bad cholesterol and triglycerides, and increase good cholesterol" he says while putting the garlic into the pot, you smile and kiss his cheek.
"good for me then, how about for you?"
"Garlic may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, strengthen the immune system, as it contains antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant properties, It can help fight skin infections, such as athlete's foot and ringworm, as well as intestinal infections" he says smiling at you.
"sounds good, we should eat lots of garlic then" you say and kiss his cheek. He smiles and blushes and starts to chop some carrots and meat. You open the cabinet and give him another board for the meat, then you open the drawer and give him another knife.
"different knives and boards baby" you say while taking the pasta from another cabinet.
"right" he says, not in a bad mood though, in a way that shows he understands and listens to you.
When the pasta finishes cooking you mix it with the sauce together, then you both set the table and he runs to the living room.
You take a peek but you aren't able to see anything besides the door, then he puts a red candle on the center of the table and lights it on, you smile and he smiles.
"how prepared" you say teasingly.
He smiles and kisses you, so sweet and comfortable, his lips are where yours should be stored always.
You have dinner discussing a book you read together and how pretty both of you look tonight.
"your friend Morgan's cool" you say.
"yeah, he's funny" he says. You wipe a stain of sauce from his lips and he smiles, almost spitting the pasta from his mouth as you laugh, then he laughs along.
"you make me nervous..." he mumbles looking down at his plate.
"why?" you ask giggling.
"you just do" he says smiling, he leans and kisses you.
After dinner comes dessert, which was shared ice cream while laying on the couch watching a movie, you interrogate him with questions like "what would you do if..., or what do you prefer?..." which makes him laugh but think.
That's your night, those are your nights, as usual, filled with love and laughs, while he strokes the skin he's able to reach. Once he told you he was a germophobe, now you can't believe it because how can Spence, the man that's all day with his hands on you, when you cook, when you get dressed, when you're brushing your teeth at the same time, when you're sleeping, even unconsciously, be a germophobe?.
Soft strokes on your bare leg, his index finger stroking your thighs, then your calves that he pulled on his thighs, then kisses, kisses on your legs which he says he loves so much. Suddenly he's above you, soft kisses from the ice cream and the warmness from his skin covered in a shirt.
You can hear the credits of the now finished movie, but that's not something that's gonna be the principal of your attention, you focus on his lips on yours, on your neck, then on the feeling of his fingers brushing against your skin while unbuttoning your shirt to after feeling him kissing and licking your chest, you focus on thinking about how he's leaving marks on you that say "Spencer was here". Morgan was right, you were gonna be the dessert afterwards.

Do I wanna know? (Part 1)
Sequel to But you're my stepmom!
Picks up a few months later after your dad and Agatha get divorced and you've started college
Word count: 3.8k
Warnings: fingering, mommy kink, slight angst
Fuck. You do not want to do this.
It’s a Saturday night and you’re here. You should’ve said you had anywhere else to be, but instead, your car almost gets hit as you turn the corner in possibly the narrowest parking garage you’ve ever been in. It makes you swear and you stomp on the brakes so quickly you think you might have a bruise from the seatbelt.
But luckily, you find a spot on the first floor and squeeze between two other cars, muttering a silent prayer that you don’t scrape against them.
You wipe your sweaty palms on your jeans as you get out and walk into the lobby of the apartment complex.
It’s nice, although you hate to admit it. You would surely not mind spending more time here if it didn’t mean having to see—
“Hey, sweet pea!”
Him. You look to your right and plaster on a fake smile when you see your father standing there, slipping his phone into his pocket.
“Hey,” you say softly, awkwardly patting his back with a hand as he embraces you.
He had been asking to get dinner with you at least once a week for the past few months since he and Agatha got divorced. You’ve always found an excuse to get out of it — you had homework, you had exams, you had to work over the summer and you were so tired — but now that it’s your first weekend in college and he knows that you don’t have anything going on, he insisted.
Plus your mom had sort of asked for you to go at least once. Your dad has been sending you updates about his apartment search and random internet posts that he found funny, and having lived at home all summer, you’ve kept your mom in the loop. She is still obsessed with him, always finding ways to bring him up in conversation, and you wish you were brave enough to tell her to just move on. She was absolutely ecstatic when you broke the news about him and Agatha and she’s been pressing you for updates ever since.
Part of the reason she wanted you to go see him was to scope out his new place and see if there was any sign of a new woman. There was still no sign about the lady he was having an affair with, so you weren’t sure if things had ended.
And when he moved out the first time, he took your mom’s can opener and she still won’t let it go. Before you left, she texted you that if you saw it, you should steal it back.
After the divorce went through, your dad had decided to sell the house and look for an apartment a little closer to his work, and he’s lived in this place for about a month now.
“How are you? How’s it going?” he asks as he leads you to the elevator. He presses his fob to the button inside and then floor six. You remember him being so consumed with having one of the top floors, like that would make him seem more important.
You shrug and pick at the peeling skin on your fingers. It’s a bad habit — one of your many. “Pretty good. Syllabus week has been a breeze. Made some new friends.”
“Classes seem like they’ll be fun?” he asks.
“Yeah, I hope so.”
And then a tense silence falls over the both of you. You haven’t actually seen him since your graduation, which was a whole other level of awkward with your mom there too, and you both know that the two affairs and two divorces has put a strain on your relationship.
It does hurt a little. You wish there was a way you could reach over the cold gap between you and go back to how things were when you were a kid, when you actually liked being around him.
But too much has happened.
“Well, I’m really glad you were able to come down for dinner,” he says and you smile tightly. “I can’t wait to show you the place and then we can get whatever you want to eat.”
The elevator dings and you follow him to an apartment a few doors down and he unlocks the door and lets you go first.
The floors are a laminate gray, the counters in the kitchen marble white with black pendant lights over the peninsula. The refrigerator is stainless steel and there’s a completely stocked wine cooler fridge built into the cabinets next to the stove. You walk past the kitchen into the living room where the couches from his and Agatha’s house are set up around an entertainment center with a fireplace and a blue rug under the coffee table.
“What do you think?” he asks, stepping next to you and putting an arm around your shoulders to bring you in close to him.
You take his fancy bachelor pad in again. “Yeah, it’s pretty nice. Maybe just pizza for dinner? We can order and watch a show or something?”
Staying in and having the television as a buffer is a much better plan than going out and having to make small talk that will end up with him on his phone anyway. He agrees and calls to order the pizza while you perch on the couch and scroll on your phone. You already have a text from your mom telling you to call her when you’re done and your chest tightens at the thought of all the shit she’s going to say. It’s fucking exhausting still being in the middle of this — you really thought it would get better, especially now that you’re in college. And yet, here you are.
“So…” your dad starts, plopping down next to you with a groan once he gets off the phone. He grabs the remote and turns the TV on. “You like your roommate?”
Your roommate, Alice Wu, is a sweet girl from out-of-state. You think that you and her will get along just fine and you’ve already agreed on all the rules of cleaning and having friends over. The first week has gone well and you’ve gotten close. “She’s cool. I think she and I will be good friends.”
He nods and turns on a show you watched awhile and the two of you sit in awkward silence until the pizza guy rings from downstairs. You excuse yourself to the bathroom after your dad rings him in.
The bathroom is through the bedroom and you take careful note of the sheets still strewn all over the bed and the two pillows at the top. One nightstand is cluttered with a phone charger, earplugs, a lamp, and a picture of you on your graduation day in a silver frame. It tugs at your heart and you instantly look away, not wanting to feel any more nostalgia.
However, on the other nightstand, there’s just a matching lamp. No hair tie, no other chargers or personal belongings.
But that stuff is easily hidden, so you go into the bathroom. One toothbrush, one retainer case, one razor. You can’t tell if you’re disappointed or glad.
At least you won’t have to listen to your mom talk endlessly about a new woman.
Your dad already has a plate with two slices on it for you sitting in your spot on the couch and you dig into it, suddenly famished. The atmosphere does warm up over time, and it’s no longer uncomfortable silence and you do end up talking a bit about his work and more about your school while the TV plays.
He doesn’t bring up your mom or Agatha at all, and neither do you. In a way, it’s nice to be removed from them for a few hours. Your dad has been villainized by both of them — and obviously he fucked up — but he is still your dad, despite your complicated feelings toward him.
After a few episodes of the show, you shift to get up, grabbing your plate. “You’re leaving already?” he asks and checks his watch.
“Yeah, it’s getting late and I should really be getting back to the dorms,” you say, trying to sound apologetic. Even if the bubble has been nice, you have somewhere you need to be.
It’s hard for your dad to hide his disappointment, but he gets it and grabs his keys to walk you down to your car.
“How’s, uh, how’s your mom doing?” he asks. Still putting me in the middle of all the imaginary drama she’s creating with you is what you want to say. But you know that he’ll call her out for it and you’d have to deal.
“She’s pretty good. Work’s been keeping her busy.” A safe answer. A true answer.
“Good,” he says and shoves his hands into his pockets and you know what’s coming next. “And Agatha? Have you seen her at all?”
Imagines of her hot body on yours flash through your mind. Her rosy nipples, her pale stomach, the heat that swallows up her eyes. “Yeah, I’ve seen her around. She’s doing all right, too, I think.”
Your dad nods and stops at your car. “Well, I had a great time with you,” he says and holds his arms out for a hug. You mutter something in agreement and give him an embrace with two pats — the way you’ve done it since you were a kid. “Let’s do it again soon.”
He tells you that he loves you and after you say it back, you get into your car and he watches you as you drive away.
Begrudgingly, you call your mom and put her on speaker and not even a second later, her voice fills your car.
“How was it? Did you see anything? Is there another woman? Did you find my can opener?” she asks all in one breath and you take a silent, deep breath.
You can’t wait to be home. “It was a pretty nice place actually.” Your mom snorts. “There wasn’t any sign of someone else there and I didn’t have time to look around. We just watched a show and ate pizza.”
She makes a sound. “Wow, father of the year. Maybe he cleaned up the place before you came over.” You hum noncommittally. “What are you doing tomorrow? Want to come over? I’ll take you grocery shopping.”
“Yeah, let me just check my schedule. Alice and I might be doing something, but I’d love to go there for a bit. Especially for groceries,” you tease and she laughs.
“I bet your father didn’t even offer to do that,” she says smugly and your face falls. Sometimes you wonder if she does half the things that she does for you just to one-up him.
“Okay, well I’m almost back now, so I’ll let you know when I’m coming over tomorrow,” you tell her, eager to wrap it up, and about to turn in. “Love you.” You hang up before she’s even done saying it back.
Once you park, you text your roommate saying that you won’t be back for the night — staying with family — and walk up to the apartment side door, letting yourself in with the fob on your key ring.
Agatha’s apartment complex is smaller than your dad’s, but just as nice, and you prefer it a lot more.
After the divorce, she stayed in a hotel for about a week before signing a lease on a place about ten minutes away from where the house used to be. You had helped her pick out the furniture and spent more time here than at your mom’s house the last couple months of school and she gave you a key to it the day she moved in.
It got harder over the summer to hang out with her, as you worked at an ice cream shop in the afternoons into the evenings and she was working her normal nine to five, but you made it work.
Things are really good between the two of you. There isn’t exactly a label on it, per se, but you both know that it’s a relationship. And without your dad in the picture and with her not being your stepmom anymore, there isn’t as much of a need to keep sneaking around — so when she puts an arm around you while you’re walking down the street and kisses your cheek when you say something cute and ghosts her pinky against yours, it’s okay.
You know things might change a little with you in college now, but you’re ready for it. And if you spend more nights at her place than at your dorm, so be it. It’s not like anyone’s going to know, and Alice will just think you’re staying with family.
Unlocking the door, you can practically feel the tension seeping away from your body. Agatha makes everything feel better. Even the house you grew up in, the one your mom still lives in, doesn’t feel as home as this does.
You don’t see her when you first walk in and you walk into the living room to see her typing something on her computer, brows furrowed, and you can just make out the glint of a document through the reflection of her glasses.
“Hey, you,” you greet, kicking off your shoes. She startles and looks up before slamming her laptop shut and smiling.
“Hey, honey,” she says and pats the spot next to her while she leans forward to place her computer on the coffee table. “How was it?”
Agatha had emphatically listened to your incessant complaining about having to get dinner with your dad, but in the end she had also pushed you to go. You groan and flop onto the couch, situating yourself so that your head is in her lap and you’re looking up at her. “It wasn’t that bad,” you admit and she smirks. “Don’t even think about saying ‘I told you so’. I will leave.”
She tosses her head back with a laugh and you play with the strands of hair that’s falling over her shoulder and teasing your face. “I would never, darling. But I’m glad it wasn’t bad. How is he?”
Your nose wrinkles. “Can we not talk about my dad? Although, I was just thinking about how much of a reward I deserve for going.”
“Oh, you think you deserve a reward, do you?” she ribs lightly, raising an eyebrow and poking you in the stomach. You giggle and twist away from her finger before sticking out your bottom lip as pitiful as you can and giving her doe eyes, nodding your head. She rolls her eyes fondly. “What were you thinking, honey?”
You shrug like you’re just now beginning to think about it. “Well, mommy,” you say, a thrill running through you at her sharp gasp. “I think since I was such a good girl, you should give me an orgasm.”
“Oh, just one?” she asks playfully, and you surge up out of her lap, turn over onto your knees to face her, and pull her in for a kiss. Your lips move against each other with familiar ease, her tongue licking hotly into your mouth and you moan — her hands slide up under your shirt and rest on your bare skin before you reach down and take it off.
“As many as you’ll give me, mommy,” you pant, and she grins before starting to suck open-mouthed bites onto your chest. You’re wearing green lingerie but she barely even looks at it before unclasping your bra from behind and tearing it off, throwing it somewhere on the floor.
She swirls her tongue around your nipple before suckling hard and you whimper, holding her head right against you. It feels like there’s a wire running straight from your boob to your cunt and you quickly feel yourself becoming soaked. Agatha switches to the other one and soon your entire chest is sticky with her saliva and you’ve moved onto her lap, squirming.
Her teeth nip at the underside of your breasts and you can’t take it anymore. “Mommy, please,” you beg, grabbing her hand and leading it to the waistband of your jeans. Her fingers rest there while you quickly unbutton and unzip and then you shove her into your pants, your hand circled around her wrist to just feel her.
Agatha chuckles throatily and moves her fingers experimentally against you while you try to grind down for some stimulation. You suddenly feel so empty, a molten heat between your legs, and Agatha crashes her lips back onto yours. She sucks on your tongue and tugs on your bottom lip as she finally presses against your clit and your hips jerk. “So wet for mommy, aren’t you?” she huffs and you nod and try to move against her harder.
When she finally pushes your underwear to the side and runs her fingers through your folds, you keen and bury a hand into her hair, face dropping down into her neck. She sharply gasps when you start breathing heavily against her skin, content to just keep your lips planted against her throat.
She slides a finger into you and your walls clench around her, trying to draw her even more in. Each time she fucks you, it feels like the first time — the same energy is there, the same electricity. But at the same time, she knows exactly what you need, maybe even more than you do.
Her thrusts begin to pick up and heat is rising through your body and you can see little indents in Agatha’s skin from where your teeth have slightly sunk in.
“Mommy, mommy — please, I need more,” you whine and she obliges by pushing another finger into you and curling them just right. A high-pitched sound leaves your mouth and you start riding her fingers the best you can, rolling your hips to match her and get her even deeper. You’re clenching furiously around her as sparks begin to fly in your lower stomach and you can feel the beginning tendrils of your orgasm start to build.
Agatha’s thumb circles around your clit without actually touching it. “God, sweetheart, you look so hot right now, taking my fingers like such a good girl. You feel so good, too. Never wanna leave you,” she babbles, making you convulse even tighter. There’s a slight pink tint to her cheeks and her breathing has picked up and you know she’s affected too. Her fingers are moving faster and she pauses for just a moment, making you whimper, before she stretches you out with a third.
“Oh, fuck,” you swear, your walls adjusting, and the slight burn only adds to the immense pleasure you’re feeling. “Fuck, fuck.” Your head is spinning, completely drunk with her and her perfume that’s been invading your nostrils the whole time, and you can’t even form a single thought.
She presses harder on your clit and with the hand that’s not currently inside you, grips your hair and pulls you away from her neck. You can see red blotches staining her skin and the thought of her wearing your marks around gets you even closer. “Look at me,” she grunts, her thrusts becoming more sporadic and you stare right into her dark blue eyes with your pleading wide ones. Your breaths intermix and she looks like she might also cum just from this.
Agatha lets out a strangled gasp when her gaze flickers from your eyes to your swollen lips to your breasts that are bouncing with your movements in her lap.
“Mommy, I need — right there —” You can’t even string together a coherent thought and she scissors her fingers inside you, the pressure making you see stars.
She looks you up and down again, drinking you in like she might never get enough, and her chest heaves with each breath she takes. “Fuck, baby, you’re so perfect,” she groans and your head falls back as you keep riding her. “I need you to cum for me, okay? Cum for mommy.”
“Mommy, fuck, I’m gonna — fuck I love you,” you groan, not even realizing the words slipping out of your mouth, the words neither of you have ever said before, before it’s too late and your orgasm explodes through your body in a way it never has before. You feel it in every crack and crevice inside you and she keeps fucking you just as hard while rubbing your clit and it quickly becomes too much, tears springing into your eyes.
Agatha’s fingers finally slow down and she coos sweet nothings in your ear and you wonder if she even heard you. It’s been a few months since you’ve been together, but neither of you has really acknowledged the depth between you.
And you just did, in the middle of sex.
“You okay?” she murmurs, pressing a kiss to your cheek and you nod before she pulls out of you and you wince at the sudden emptiness. You fall back out of her lap onto the couch. She must not have heard it.
There’s a slight gnawing feeling that begins to grow in your stomach — if you said it for real, in a moment that couldn’t just be blamed on a dopamine rush, would she say it back?
Does she feel the same?
Agatha kisses you before sticking her three fingers into your mouth so you can clean them up. “Good girl,” she purrs in a low voice. “Was that a good enough reward?”
You’re still a little out of it, but you nod dazedly. “Yeah,” you say softly and she gets off the couch and walks over to the fridge to get you a glass of water. “My mom wants me to go hang out with her tomorrow. What are you doing at night? Can I come over after?”
She pauses for a fraction of a second and then glances at you over her shoulder. “Um, sorry, baby. I have to work all day tomorrow. Some last minute things I’ve got to get done.”
You hum, a little disappointed, but graciously accept the water. “No worries. Maybe Monday or something.”
“Yeah, of course. Just a second, I need to go grab something,” she murmurs and then walks into her bedroom. You’re exhausted and you get off the couch, stretching your aching muscles, and you’re about to follow her when her phone buzzes on the end table.
Thinking it’s just a work email or something, you glance at it and your stomach drops, heart lurches.
It’s a text message from an unknown number.
Can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

“It was a pleasure to burn” (LN)
Lando norris x golfer!reader
tw: friend’s death
request from @papayadays prompt list here
—--------------------------------------------
Settling down was overrated.
That had been your mantra for the past couple of years, and at 24, you showed no signs of slowing down. You were at the height of your career, travelling every month, living the lifestyle you had always dreamed of. You could think about finding someone to wake up to every day later. Right now, you were just having fun.
That’s why Lando Norris was the perfect addition to your life.
On New Year's Eve, you flew to Dubai at the request of your friend and fellow golfer, Lily, to celebrate with her and her friends. That’s where you met Lando, who was there with his group of friends. Your groups merged for the night, and you found yourself getting to know the McLaren driver, entranced by his carefree attitude. The two of you really hit it off so you weren’t that surprised when you woke up in his hotel room the next morning.
He on the otherhand, was freaking out. All he could think about when he woke up to you sleeping peacefully next to him was how Alex was going to kill him. Almost a year ago, he had slept with one of Pietra’s friends and he thought it would be a one-time thing, she did not and it blew up. After that fiasco he decided that fucking around with even mutual friends was off-limits; he wasn’t interested in relationships in this season of his life.
Mind racing, he quietly slid out of bed and headed in the bathroom to shower. He would just act cool about it, not even allowing you to ask to see him again. Yeah, he thought. That would work. So imagine his surprise when he took a deep breath, ready to face you, only to catch you mid-stride trying to sneak out.
“Where are you going?” He asked, just as you reached for the door handle. You froze, looking back at him with wide eyes, before turning slowly.
“Oof, this is awkward,” you muttered. “Look I had a great time last night; maybe we can do it again if we see each other again but let’s not make more out of this than it is.”
Lando's mouth fell open slightly, his rehearsed speech dying on his lips. This was... unexpected. He stared at you for a moment, towel wrapped around his waist, droplets of water still clinging to his shoulders.
"Oh," he finally managed. "That's... exactly what I was going to say."
You raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing at your lips. "Great minds, I guess?"
"Yeah," he laughed, running a hand through his damp hair. "Great minds."
Something was refreshing about your straightforwardness. Most women he'd encountered in the F1 circle were either looking for the glamour of dating a driver or trying to lock him down. But you seemed genuinely uninterested in anything beyond the moment.
"So," you said, shifting your weight, "I should probably go. My flight leaves in a few hours."
“Safe travels,” he managed to get out, and then you were gone.
The next time you saw him was a couple of months later when Lily invited you to a race in Japan. It worked out - since you were both playing a tournament the weekend before, you were more than happy to extend your trip for an F1 race.
Decked out in a Williams’ navy tennis dress, you were overwhelemed with how cool everything was, even just for an upcoming qualifying session. Lily was amused watching you, like a kid in a candy store she thought.
“There are so many people here,” you gushed, waiting up for Alex to finish signing some autographs. “We should have played a cooler sport.”
She laughed at your comment, bumping her hip into yours, “can you even imagine having this many people at one of our tournaments?”
“The Open gets kind of close,” you tried to argue but laughed at the look she gave you.
"I suppose, but it's still not even close to this energy."
As you continued to take in the atmosphere, a familiar figure caught your eye across the paddock. Lando was walking with his race engineer, deep in conversation, wearing his McLaren uniform. Something fluttered in your stomach when you saw him, which you quickly dismissed as the after-effects of too much coffee that morning.
"Isn't that your New Year's hookup?" Lily whispered, following your gaze.
"Shh," you hissed, elbowing her. "Don't be so loud."
"What? It's not like I said anything scandalous," she defended. "Besides, I thought it was just a one-time thing?"
"It was," you confirmed, tearing your eyes away from him. "And I'd like to keep it that way without any awkwardness."
But fate had other plans and Lando looked over to wave at Alex, his eyes catching yours for a moment. They widened in surprise and he jogged over to the three of you.
“Y/n,” he greeted, “good to see you.”
“Likewise,” you said with an easy smile, forcing the awkward version of yourself down. Lily got pulled away with Alex by a Williams’ PR person so Lando fell in step with you as you walked back to grab a water from your bag.
“You live in Monaco, right?” He asked, breaking the silence.
You nodded, “Yeah, moved there last winter, why?”
“Will you please meet up with me sometime and give me some pointers on the course?” He asked quietly, looking around to make sure no one was listening. Giving him a weird look, you stopped walking.
“Why?”
“I’ve been golfing with Carlos so much recently and he kicks my ass every time,” he admitted. “It’s very demoralizing.”
You tilted your head, not sure if you believed the excuse. “Is this your way of asking me out? It’s very sweet, but again, I’m not interested in dating anyone.”
Lando laughed, rolling his eyes at you, “You are so cocky, is it that hard to believe that I would not be asking you out?”
You gave him a big smile, motioning down to yourself, “I mean, look at me, so yeah.”
His gaze traveled down your body, and he nodded, giving you a cheeky grin. “You’re not wrong, but I do really need golf lessons.”
"Fine," you conceded, "but only because I can't stand the thought of Carlos having any sort of advantage over you. That man is already too smug for his own good."
Lando beamed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're the best. I'll text you when I'm back in Monaco."
"You don't have my number," you pointed out.
Without missing a beat, he pulled out his phone and handed it to you. "Problem solved."
You punched in your number, saving it under "Golf Pro 🏌️♀️" before handing it back. "Don't make me regret this, Norris."
"Wouldn't dream of it," he winked, then jogged back toward his team as someone called his name.
True to his word, Lando texted you three weeks later when you were both back in Monaco so you met up with him on the course.
The weather was perfect. Blue skies, a light breeze, and the scent of fresh-cut grass in the air. You had to give Lando credit—he picked a gorgeous day for this.
You were already at the driving range, adjusting your glove when he pulled up in a golf cart like he owned the place, dressed in a navy polo, crisp white shorts, and sunglasses that did nothing to hide the cocky smirk on his face.
"Well, well, if it isn’t Monaco’s finest," he greeted, hopping out.
“I’d say the same to you, but I’m trying to stay humble today,” you teased, tossing him a golf ball.
He caught it effortlessly. “Good, because I already know I suck at this.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Confidence. That’s what I like to hear in a student.”
He grinned. “Oh, I’m very teachable… in the right hands.”
You snorted, shaking your head. “Don’t flirt with me while I’m trying to help you fix your swing. It’s distracting.”
“But isn’t that part of the fun?” he asked, stepping up beside you with that boyish glint in his eye.
You gave him a look, then moved behind him to adjust his grip on the club. “You’re holding it like you’re about to break it in half,” you muttered, placing your hands over his to guide him.
Lando turned his head slightly. “You sure you’re not just trying to hold my hands?”
“Oh, totally,” you deadpanned, then leaned in a little closer. “Now rotate your hips—no, not like that, you’re not dancing.”
“You’ve seen my dancing?” he smirked.
“Tragically, yes. New Year’s was a rough night for choreography.”
He laughed, and the sound was infectious. “You’re brutal.”
“I’m honest.”
Lando finally managed a decent swing that sent the ball sailing down the fairway. He let out a cheer, spinning around to face you. “Did you see that?! That was, like, halfway decent!”
You clapped slowly, amused. “Proud of you. Baby steps.”
They say chemistry is easy to recognize—and out here, just the two of you in the open space, it crackled like a live wire. But after a few more swings and playful banter, you both eventually settled under a shaded canopy, sipping water and watching the other golfers in the distance.
Lando tilted his head, glancing at you. “You know… I actually like this. Hanging out. No pressure.”
You hummed in agreement. “Same. I’ve gotten really good at keeping things casual. No drama, no expectations. Just enjoying life.”
He nodded slowly. “Exactly. I don’t think I’m in a place where I could give someone a relationship. My schedule’s insane, I barely sleep, and most of the time I’m jet-lagged or thinking about tire degradation.”
You laughed. “So hot.”
“Right?” he grinned. “What about you? You dating anyone?”
You shook your head. “Nah. I mean, yeah, I’ve gone on some dates. But settling down? That’s not on the radar right now. I’m traveling constantly, chasing tournaments, trying to stay at the top of my game. A relationship just sounds… exhausting.”
Lando raised his bottle in a mock toast. “To being single and thriving.”
You clinked your bottle against his. “And to fun. Fun is underrated.”
There was a moment of easy silence, the kind that didn’t feel like it needed to be filled. The sun was dipping lower now, casting everything in a soft golden hue.
“Just don’t fall in love with me after I teach you how to drive straight,” you said, breaking the quiet.
He snorted. “Don’t worry, I only fall for women who can’t beat me at sports.”
“Well, then you’re screwed.”
He gave you a look, that spark of challenge in his eyes. “We’ll see about that.”
You smirked, finishing your water. “Come on, lover boy. Lesson’s not over yet.”
—-----------------------------------------------
You saw Lando on and off for the rest of the year, and it really was strictly casual; half of the times you were together, you slept together, the other half, you didn’t. He had converted you into an F1 fan, so each weekend, you found yourself up at odd hours to watch the races. This particular weekend would be good, though, considering that Brazil is a time zone close enough to yours.
After grabbing dinner from your favorite little cafe down the street, you snuggled into your couch to watch the GP. It was a wild one, the weather causing plenty of crashes and you were disappointed to see it not work out for Lando. You watched some of the post-race interviews and frowned. Lando didn’t seem like his usual bad race self - this time it seemed much worse.
Sure enough, you checked in later to one of Max’s streams that he was on, and were surprised to see that he was very quiet.
You felt a pang of concern watching him. This wasn't his usual post-bad-race mood—there was something deeper bothering him. Before you could overthink it, you grabbed your phone and sent him a text.
Y/N: Hey, rough day. Ice cream and bad movies at my place when you're back in Monaco?
You set your phone down, not expecting a response anytime soon. To your surprise, it buzzed almost immediately.
LN: Please. Landing tomorrow afternoon.
The next day, you made sure your apartment was tidied up—not that you were trying to impress him or anything. You just didn't want him judging your laundry pile. You'd stocked the freezer with his favorite Ben & Jerry's flavors and queued up the worst movies you could find on Netflix.
When the doorbell rang, you weren't prepared for how exhausted he looked. Dark circles shadowed his eyes, and his whole body was just sort of slumped over. Without thinking, you wrapped your arms around his waist, and he leaned into you.
“You’re okay,” you mumured, rubbing his back as you felt his body start to shake.
After a minute, he pulled back, quickly rubbing his eyes. “I’m sorry.”
"Don't be," you said softly, pulling him inside and closing the door. "That's what friends are for."
He followed you to the couch, dropping onto it with a heavy sigh. "I don't even know why I'm so upset. It's just a race."
You sat beside him, tucking your legs underneath you. "We both know it's never just a race."
Lando ran a hand through his hair, making it stick up in all directions. "Everything's just... piling up. The pressure from the team, the media, the fans. Everyone expecting me to perform miracles every weekend."
"And you're too hard on yourself," you added, reaching for the ice cream.
"Says the person who threw her club in a water hazard last month."
You pointed your spoon at him. "That club deserved it. Betrayed me on the 16th hole.”
That got a small laugh out of him and you smiled softly.
“I just don’t know what to do,” he admitted and you brought your hand up to his jaw, forcing him to look at you.
“You just have to keep being you,” you said gently. “You are in a battle for the championship for a reason: you are a good driver and you deserve it. Even if it doesn’t work it out, you’re still a good driver. Nothing changes that.”
He looked at you for a while, deep into your eyes, a small smile seeping through. “How do you always know what to say?”
“Easy, I’m a genius,” you joked, lightening up the mood. “Now pick a movie please.”
—-------------------------------------
“I just don’t understand the two of you,” Max said to Lando as they got into an Uber, ready to head out to a club.
“What’s not to understand?” Lando asked nonchalantly, not looking up from his phone.
“You act like a married couple and you aren’t even dating,” his friend exclaimed. “It’s mad mate.”
Lando rolled his eyes, shooting Max a look. “It’s not like that. We’re just friends who have a little fun together every once in a while.”
“Mate she literally was the only person you would talk to after Brazil,” Max countered.
“Look I get what you’re saying,” Lando said honestly. “But it’s just casual, we’ve both made that clear to each other many times. We’re both in the exact spot of our careers with no need to put a label on anything.”
“But would you want to settle down with her?” Max pressed. “Once everything settles down?”
Lando thought for a moment and then shrugged, “I don’t really know. I’ve never thought about it.”
Max groaned but the car had pulled to the curb, arriving at the destination before he could say anything else. Lando eagerly got out, leading the way to where you and some of your other friends were in a roped off section.
You were already two drinks deep but that didn’t mean you didn’t catch the way Lando’s eyes flickered over your body, lingering on where your short dress hung tightly against your skin.
You grinned as you saw him approach, holding up your glass in greeting.
"Look who finally decided to show up," you teased, sliding over to make room for him.
"Some of us have jobs that require actual effort," he quipped, signaling for a drink.
"Oh please, you just sit in a car and turn left sometimes," you fired back, earning a laugh from the group.
Lando settled in beside you, his arm casually draping over the back of the couch behind you. The closeness felt natural, comfortable in a way that should have set off alarm bells in your head. But two drinks in, you weren't thinking about boundaries or what this looked like to others.
"Dance with me?" you asked after your third drink, feeling loose and carefree.
“Nah, not right now, I need to talk to Max about something,” he said and you shrugged.
“Suit yourself.”
Grabbing one of your other friends, you headed down to the main floor and felt yourself get lost in the music and moving your body. After a couple of songs, you felt a hand rest gently on your right hip and you turned your head to see an attractive guy staring back at you.
“Is this okay?” He yelled over the music, and you nodded, motioning for his other hand. You wrapped it around your front and danced along to the beat, this guy pressed against you.
You were having a good time, enjoying the attention and the rhythm of the music, when suddenly the guy was pulled away from you. You turned around, confused, to find Lando standing there, jaw clenched.
"What the hell?" you shouted over the music.
"I changed my mind about dancing," he said, stepping closer to you.
You rolled your eyes. "You can't just pull someone away like that."
"I just did," he replied, his hands finding your waist. "Is this okay?"
You should have been annoyed, but instead, you felt a thrill run through you. You nodded, wrapping your arms around his neck as the music slowed slightly. The way he was looking at you—intense, possessive almost—made your stomach flip.
"What happened to talking to Max?" you asked, pressing closer to him.
"He was being annoying," Lando muttered. You looked back over to the section to see Max watching you, a smirk on his face.
“Whatever, I’m mad at you. That guy was cute,” you whined in his ear.
“I’m cuter,” he shot back, with a slight grin. You started to argue back, but his lips cut you off, moving against yours lazily.
You melted into the kiss, your hands finding his hair as he pulled you closer. The bass thumped around you, but all you could focus on was the feeling of his lips against yours, the taste of whiskey on his tongue. It was different somehow—more intense than your previous encounters.
When you finally broke apart, both slightly breathless, you studied his face. "What was that about?"
"Just didn't like seeing some random guy's hands on you," he admitted, his voice low in your ear.
You raised an eyebrow. "Sounds suspiciously possessive for someone who's keeping things casual."
Lando's eyes flickered with something unreadable. "Maybe I'm just selective about who gets to dance with my friend."
"Is that what we're calling it now?" you teased, but there was an undercurrent of tension between you that hadn't been there before.
“Something like that.”
—-------------------------------------------------------
The season got busy after that last night out in Monaco and you didn’t really see any of your friends besides Lily for the next couple of months. It was when you were in Scotland for a tournament that you got a phone call that changed the trajectory of everything.
“Hey dad, what’s up?” You said into your phone, walking through the hotel lobby.
“Hey sweetheart, how was the tournament?” He asked. You could tell he was trying to be casual but something was clearly going on.
“It was fine, not my best but whatever,” you started. “What’s wrong?’
“Just let me know when you get into your room, okay?” He replied and your heart started to race but you obeyed, moving as quickly as possible to get upstairs.
“Okay, I’m alone, please tell me what’s going on,” you begged.
“I wish I was there with you so badly honey, your friend Sophie was in a bad car accident this past weekend.”
Your heart dropped. Sophie’s friendship was something that had stood the test of time, having met one another in elementary school. You saw her almost every time you were back home and chatted weekly on the phone.
“Is she okay?” You asked panicked, your dad hesitated and you just knew.
"She didn't make it," your dad said softly. His voice cracked as he continued, "The funeral is set for next Tuesday."
The phone slipped from your grasp, clattering to the floor as your knees gave out. You couldn't breathe. Sophie—your Sophie—was gone. The room spun around you, and you pressed your palms against your eyes, trying to stop the tears that were already flowing.
When you finally managed to pick up the phone, your dad was still there, waiting.
"I'll book a flight home tonight," you whispered, your voice hollow.
The next few days passed in a blur. You withdrew from your upcoming tournaments, packed a bag, and flew home. The funeral was exactly as awful as you expected—Sophie's parents broken beyond repair, her siblings clinging to each other, and you, standing there feeling like half of your childhood had been ripped away.
Her fiance was grief-stricken and you tried to put on a brave face when you ran into him as you were leaving.
“Luke, I’m so sorry,” you choked out, pulling him in tightly. He accepted your hug, before looking at you with a sad smile.
“I’m just glad I had her while I could,” he said. “I know we were so young when we started dating but how could I regret when I got to wake up to her everyday.”
His words brought another wave of tears to your eyes and you cried with him, promising to still stay in touch. It was later, when you were back at your parents’ house, sitting on the dock by yourself, that you reflected back on what he said.
Life is so short; anything could happen. This event shocked you right off the course you were on. You didn’t know if you wanted the carefree, casual life anymore. You decided you want something more, something meaningful, something that would last. You wanted to be more intentional with your life, relationships, and family.
What was the point of getting to experience all these amazing things if you didn’t have anyone to share them with? Your mind wandered to Lando but you quickly shut that down. He didn’t want something serious. He was the perfect character in this chapter of your life that was ending.
You stayed with your parents for a couple more days before flying back to Monaco. As you were driving to the airport, a text popped up on your console from Lando asking if he could see you when you got back.
You hit call before you could talk yourself out of it.
He picked up on the second ring.
“Hey, you—”
“Don’t talk,” you cut him off softly, your voice steady but quiet. “Please, just let me say this.”
There was a beat of silence on the other end. Then: “Okay.”
You took a shaky breath.
“I’m not the same person I was a few weeks ago. I wish I could explain it better, but... something shifted. Sophie dying—it broke something in me. Or maybe it cracked something open. I don’t know.”
“I’ve spent the last few years convinced that fun was all I needed. That keeping things casual made me free, untouchable. But watching someone I loved be buried in a dress she was supposed to get married in? It just made everything… feel small. Temporary. Pointless.”
You closed your eyes, forcing yourself to keep going. “I want more now, Lando. I want something that means something. I want to build a life with someone. A home. Mornings. Boring Sundays. I want the kind of love that stays.”
Your throat burned, but you didn’t stop.
“You’ve been everything I’ve needed this past year. Someone who wanted the exact same things that I did, but things have changed for me, and I can’t be who you want me to be anymore. I think it’s best if we part ways now. It was a pleasure to burn.”
And with that, you hung up.
You didn’t wait for a response. You couldn’t.
—------------------------------------------------------------
You missed Lando more than you thought you would. It had been two weeks since that call and you hadn’t heard anything from him. It was late nights when you were scrolling through your phone that you had to stop yourself from sending him a funny meme or texting him good luck on a race. It hadn’t occurred to you that maybe the two of you were something a little more than casual until now.
Max had just sent you a frowny face emoji after the call with Lando, so you knew he must be upset, but he never reached out so you tried to shrug it off.
The last tournament of the season was here and you were in Ireland, prepped and ready to go. The first day of practice went by smoothly but you were overwhelmed by the fan attention you were getting on the actual start of the tournament.
Now you were pretty popular, in terms of female golfers, but your Twitter was blowing up all of the first day. You hadn’t had time to check it, just seen that you were being mentioned a lot, which was confusing because you didn’t even think you were off to a hot start.
At the end of the first day you were signing a fan’s hat when she said something that stopped you in your tracks.
“I’m so happy for you and Lando,” she gushed. “I’m a big F1 fan so it’s like my two worlds colliding.”
You gave her a weird look, “What do you mean?”
She just laughed, “It’s not a secret anymore remember? You guys are so cute together.”
She walked off before you could say anything. You wouldn’t have had the chance to anyways because Lily was stomping angrily towards you.
“I thought we were friends,” she yelled at you and you flinched back.
“What are you talking about?” You asked, bewildered.
“You and Lando?” She pressed, clearly pissed. “When were you going to tell me?”
“Tell you what?” You exclaimed.
“That you’re dating!” She snapped. Your eyes went wide as you stared at her.
“We are not dating,” you said. “I literally stopped talking to him like two weeks ago.”
“Then what’s this?” She asked, pushing her phone in your face. It was Lando’s Instagram story, a selfie of him at this very golf course with the caption: “last tournament of the season for my girlfriend, go get em @.yourusername”
Your jaw dropped, eyes widening as you stared at the screen. The world around you seemed to slow down as you tried to process what you were seeing.
"Girlfriend?" you whispered, the word feeling foreign on your tongue.
Lily's anger softened slightly at your genuine shock. "You really didn't know?"
"I—no," you stammered, taking her phone to look more closely at the post. There he was, looking as handsome as ever in a McLaren cap, the familiar backdrop of the course behind him. "This makes no sense. We're not together. We haven't even spoken since I called him after Sophie's funeral."
Your hands trembled slightly as you pulled out your own phone, ignoring the hundreds of notifications to dial Lando's number. It rang several times before going to voicemail.
You couldn’t think, couldn’t focus. He was here. At your tournament. With that caption.
You weren’t sure if you were going to punch him or kiss him when you saw him.
You found him just off the 18th green.
He was standing beside a sponsor tent, sunglasses perched on his head, arms crossed casually as he chatted with someone from the tournament staff. He hadn’t seen you yet.
But you saw him.
And your heart did that stupid skip it always did when he was near.
You stormed over, not caring who was watching, stopping dead in front of him. He turned just as you approached, the easy smile falling slightly as he read your expression.
“Y/n—”
“You can’t just show up here and post something like that,” you hissed, voice low but sharp. “Do you know how confused I’ve been all day? What are you doing?”
He looked at you for a long moment, then nodded slowly, as if steeling himself. “You didn’t let me talk.”
“What?” you blinked.
“Two weeks ago,” he said, stepping closer, voice quiet but fierce. “You called me, told me it was over, and then hung up before I could say anything. You said what you felt—and I get that, I do—but you never gave me the chance to tell you how I feel.”
You opened your mouth, but he shook his head.
“Let me finish this time,” he said softly.
Your breath caught.
“I was scared. At first, I didn’t even realize what we were becoming. I thought I didn’t want something serious. But then I started waking up thinking about you. Wondering what city you were in. Watching your tournaments when I should have been studying track data. Missing you even when we’d just hung out the day before.”
You stared at him, frozen.
“I didn’t know what I wanted—until I lost you.”
He took one more step, close enough now that you could see the nerves in his eyes despite his calm tone.
“I don’t want casual anymore,” he said simply. “Not with you.”
Your heart was pounding now, so loud it felt like a roar in your ears.
“I want the boring Sundays. I want the quiet mornings. I want you. And I’d only ever settle down for you, Y/n. Because I’m in love with you.”
You let out a shaky breath.
“I thought you didn’t want that kind of life…”
“I didn’t,” he admitted, a crooked smile tugging at his lips. “Until you showed me what it could feel like. Until you made me realize I’d never be able to find anything better than this—than us.”
You stood there for a second, trying to speak around the lump in your throat.
“I didn’t know,” you whispered.
“I know,” he said gently. “And I don’t blame you for protecting your heart. But I’m here now. I’m ready. If you’ll have me.”
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes—not from sadness, but from the overwhelming flood of emotion you had buried since the call that day on the dock.
You nodded.
He grinned.
And then you stepped forward and kissed him. Not like you had before—not drunk, not teasing, not fleeting, but real. Lasting. Like something worth holding onto.

Little Billy the Assistant
Zatanna was looking for the Champion. She’d wanted to ask for his help procuring an ingredient for a potion. All she expected was a short trip and maybe adventure. What she didn’t expect was running into a magically gifted orphan homeless looking kid.
Zatanna: *takes a detour a cramped street with a bunch of stalls selling stuff*
Billy: *ahead of her, heads to a gate leading to an alley, looks around for a bit before literally melting the lock off*
Zatanna: *sees this and stares*
Billy: *casts one more glance back before nearly feeling his soul leave his body at the sight of her looking at him*
He looked just as surprised to see her as she was to see him. Zatanna thought he was scared because he got caught by someone using magic in public. Billy was actually scared because she saw his civilian form do magic. Because what if she connected it back to Cap or something?!
Anyways, they made an uncomfortable amount of eye contact from across the street before Billy bolted into the alley. She tried to follow, but the crowd of the cramped street kept getting in her way, and by the time she got to the alley he was gone. Having lost him, she decided to ask Cap about the little boy about a week later when they were both at the Watchtower after he’d helped her find the ingredient she’d wanted. As for why it took a week for her to find him and ask for help? Billy had been avoiding her. Anyways…
Zatanna: “Cap, have you seen this little kid running around?”
Marvel: *immediately knew she was probably talking about him* “You’re going to have to be more specific than that Zatanna.”
Zatanna: “Okay… this little blue eyed black haired short little thing, maybe nine or 10-”
Marvel: *a little offended because he’s 12*
Zatanna: “-I saw him do magic the other day so he’s magical too. You know anything about him?”
Marvel: “Maybe? Why do you care about him?”
Zatanna: “Because recently I’ve had this idea of maybe having a little stage assistant.”
Marvel: “I thought you said you never wanted to share the spotlight or something?”
Zatanna: “That is true, but he was adorable! And I’m pretty sure he was also homeless.”
Marvel: *doesn’t know how to feel about being called adorable* “So…?”
Zatanna: “So he’d become my assistant and learn how to do his magic better since I doubt he has a teacher if I’m right about him being homeless. There’s also the added bonus of earning money which will benefit whether or not he actually is homeless.”
Marvel: *was prepared to say yes as soon as he heard money* “I’ll talk to him about it.”
Zatanna: “Oh? So you do know him.”
Marvel: “Maybe.”
Zatanna: “Maybe?”
Marvel: “Maybe. By the way, I’m pretty sure that kid you’re talking about has a job as a radio show host so he might not accept your offer if it conflicts with his schedule.”
Zatanna: “Radio show host? That’s a little retro, no? Buuuuuut… if he’s a show host, that at least means he has some pizzazz, so he could probably be good on stage too! As for the schedule thing, I mostly do night shows so he should be good.”
Billy mulled over this decision for many(two) days before deciding he’d accept her offer. As Cap, he told her to meet Billy at a popular street.
Billy: *waiting near a fountain and contemplating every decision he made up until his*
Zatanna: “Ah, it’s you! I assume Cap told you about my offer?”
Billy: “Yes? Could we uh… talk more about what the job would be like?”
Zatanna: “Of course! But first, let’s get some food in you.”
Billy: “What? Why?”
Zatanna: “Bud, you’re practically skin and bones.”
Billy: “Oh.” *sounds upset*
Zatanna: “Hey, hey, hey! No need to get upset! Try to think of the positives! I’m getting you food!”
They went to a little diner and ate while discussing all the things. What his job as an assistant would be, his pay, and so on.
Zatanna: “You sure know how to talk business, little guy.”
Billy: “Thank you…?” *sounds confused*
Zatanna: “I meant that in a good way.”
Billy: “Oh. Thanks then.” *smiles*
Zatanna: *just barely resists the urge to pinch his cheeks*
Zatanna stand by the fact that this kid was, in fact, incredibly adorable. Such a cutie honestly. And he’s such a sweetheart, too. After this meeting, they met up a couple more times, so Billy could rehearse being her assistant before he actually went on stage. Then the day came that he finally had to do his job…
Billy and Zatanna: *standing behind a curtain on stage*
Billy: “Uhm… Ms. Zatanna?”
Zatanna: “Yes?”
Billy: “What happens if I’m not good at being an assistant?”
Zatanna: *pauses to think* “Well, you’d stop, but I’d still continue trying to help you with your magic.”
Billy: “You mean that?” *just happy she wouldn’t immediately kick him to the curb*
Zatanna: “Of course.” *again has to resist pinching his cheeks*
The curtains soon opened after that conversation. The show must go on!
I’ll leave it up to you guys on whether he did good or not.

How to manifest your SP:

Yall made me crazy with this, and please no more questions "HOW TO MANIFEST MY SP?"!
(if yall wondering about my type, it's dark haired guys 😉)
Stop putting them on the pedestal!
I'm gonna say this many times, stop putting your SP on the pedestal, they're just human, whether they're celebrities, models, hot and Athletic, popular in your high school, a rich man, they're JUST humans, they also have insecurities, doubt, sad days, bad days, they're not perfect and you are not too.
Start working on your self-concept:
If you don't know, self-concept is important, it represent how you view your world, and your assumption create your reality, and since the World is just a mirror so it's gonna show you what you assume.
I know when you hear about self-concept it seems like a lot of work, but it's really simple.
What it is then?
Stop assuming things you don't want to! And start assuming better things!
For example: you assume and believe that men aren't loyal, trash and they're cheaters and that you never will get into a happy relationship blah blah blah, guess what? That what you'll be seeing, if you change your assumption saying that you deserve the best and your partners are Always loyal and dedicated and devoted to you and treat you like a princess, then that what you're gonna see.
As for my story after an incident, i realised that i should stop chasing after guys and it should be the opposite instead, i held the assumption that guys Always chase after me and they're Always obsessed with me, i always play hard to get and it seriously fun and amusing 😏.
So start assuming the best for yourself, start assuming that you always get treated like a princess by men, Always getting spoiled by them, Always finding your dream ideal partners and that they only see you and only you and are obsessed and completely devoted to you.
Now here's the real question that you all been waiting for 🥁🥁🥁 -
How do i manifest my SP?
If you want to manifest your dream partner from scratch, you can check my post here ➜ (click me!).
Now before i tell you how to manifest your SP, i want you to actually think that it is easy to manifest them, okay?
Now here it is the steps-
Decide & Assume: decide that right now your SP is already in love with you and assume he's obsessed with you and you both are already in a healthy relationship, going on a dates, him spoiling you (of course because you deserve it honey💅🙄).
Affirm: choose your ideal affirmation that represent that you and your SP are already in a relationship.
For example:
"my SP asked me out already and now we're in a healthy happy relationship"
"my SP is the most perfect boyfriend i've ever had!"
"my SP is so obsessed with me and he's so devoted to me!"
"my SP's eyes are only on me and i'm special in his eyes"
"my SP is so loyal to me, and i'm the only one for him, forever mine and i'm forever his"
Persist: now here comes the most important thing you need to do, no matter what the 3d shows you, you need to keep assuming your current assumption and keep sticking to it, cause you know it's a fact, because duh your SP is yours.
Persist persist persist! Your SP is already yours!
Now let's go to answering your questions-
What if he's my celebrity crush?
Girl/boy, that doesn't matter, no one have free will, and your celebrity crush is a human too not an angel, your assumption is what is true, even if your not that attractive, your SP will love you, because you deserve it, and it's your reality.
Can i manifest my SP even if we broke up two years ago?
Of course you can, you can assume that you both never broke up and your relationship is still going and is healthy.
Can i manifest my SP even if we just met at the airport?
Of course you can, even if you both just met once, you can still manifest them, and you both can meet in different ways, just let the work to your subconscious and trust it.
But my SP doesn't even know i exist😢
Bitch who said that huh? You assume they're yours, then they're yours, period.
Stop assuming negative assumption damn it!
But my hard circumstances 😢-
Circumstances doesn't mean shit, when you say you have your SP, then you have them, end of discussion.
Now that i have cleared up everything and made everything seems simple and easy, now i don't want to hear you all whining about your SPs never again, act like the queen/king you are, and alter your reality because you're the creator of it.
The answer to all your questions: just assume, assume you already have it.
Xoxo, Eli

END GAME
PART ONE
pairing: lucifer x fallen angel! fem! reader
fandom: hazbin hotel
genre: fluff
warnings: no warnings yet.
notes: very feral for this man and this is multishot fic and would be writing a smut for this. Reader is close to his age (probably a hundred years younger but meh)
additional notes: this is a long one.
Part two |

[y/n] stood in the podium, her hands bound by golden chains. She looked at the higher angels who sat on the high chairs of the courtroom, her [e/c] eyes stared at them with boredom. She never liked being in heaven, so many rules to the point she couldn't breathe. She was created a few years after the infamous Lucifer fell from grace, she admired him. She has heard his cause and mentally agreed to his beliefs—she couldn't say it out loud as the higher beings would punish her. She was a good angel, always a rule follower and a good role model, then she suffered from burnt out, repeating the same thing everyday—waking up, praying, doing good, following the rules.
She started questioning their ways and now, the time has come for it to bite her back as she finally faces a trial. [Y/n] what happened the majority of her trial, she remembers doing a couple of nods in agreement and occasionally rolling her eyes whenever Adam said something stupid. She couldn't take whatever bullshit Sera was yapping about and decided to cut her off, “Enough about all these rules, just admit that us angels are egomaniacs, always hungry for control. Heck, Lucifer was right with his intentions but you guys saw it as an act of disobedience. You didn't like what he was doing since it didn't follow what you guys wanted him to do.” She said coldly, her tone making the whole room tense and cold, “he thought it was unfair to the humans to follow whatever heaven's command is without question and hesitation. But Lucifer gave them freedom,” [y/n] pauses, glaring at the higher beings, eyebrows furrowed and her eyes staring at their very soul, “Heaven is fake, you put on a show for everyone, pretending that everything is fine and this is a fun place filled with peace and we all know you guys want them to blindly follow your rules.”
“Do not ever speak his name or do you want to follow where he is?” Sera asked loudly, her voice commanding and echoing off the walls of the court but her message just made the angel in trial smirk, “Oh...? Frankly speaking, I think hell seems to be a better and more fun place than heaven. I could do whatever the fuck I want.” [y/n] says with a smirk, heart thumping loudly for the first curse word she had said. This made Sera more angry, “Then, so be it.” Sera sneers.
Falling... So this is what Icarus felt when he flew too close to the sun. Lucifer was lucky as heaven wasn't this harsh before, [y/n] closes her eyes as she felt the stinging pain of the wind caressing her back, golden ichor flowing from where her wings should be, but despite the pain, a grin was plastered on her face as she embraced the imminent pain she'll receive once she hits the burning ground of hell. Despite the extreme pain she felt on her back, the missing part of her that heaven decided to take—she felt free, shimmering tears cascades down her cheeks as she cried for her acquired freedom while simultaneously mourning for the loss of her wings. Her weak body passing by many, many clouds, passing by the crust of the earth and soon she could see the fiery red skies of hell, she can only wait for the impact.
She could hear the sound of something breaking and cracking, the loud ringing on her ears before her world turned dark. Falling from grace isn't enough to kill her.
Lucifer's usual schedule usually consists of him wallowing in self pity inside his room, making rubber ducks, or having an existential crisis in his balcony. Lucifer just so happens to be on his balcony that day, talking to his newly created rubber duck that looks like his daughter when his eyes noticed the dark red clouds of hell parting and a figure falling at extreme speeds, at first he thought it was another soul who ended up in hell but his eyes widened to see occasional gold shimmering on the figure. “What...” Lucifer murmurs in confusion, his eyes following the figure and what the...? It's about to land in his front yard.
Only his eyes widened in fear as the figure crashed and golden ichor splattered everywhere. The realization damned upon him that another angel has fallen from grace.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Lucifer never cursed so much as he jumped off the balcony, three pairs of wings springing out of his back as he quickly flew next to the crash site. “I swear to me if this person died,” this wouldn't be the first time someone died in his front yard but it would be the first time an angel would, but can an angel even die from this impact?
He quickly checked the fallen angel, identified that it's a female. She looked like such a mess, golden ichor splattered everywhere, messy hair from falling, eye bags, and passed out but despite all that, he found her to be very beautiful, “I swear to me, this isn't the time Lucifer.” he muttered to himself as he began to work and make sure this woman is treated properly. What made the king of hell freeze was when he used his power to lift her up gently, he noticed that so much blood was gushing out of her back where the bone that should connect to her wings. He just realized why this angel crashed, she couldn't fly. She doesn't have her wings anymore and that realization filled his heart with anger.
He stared at her broken form lying on the bed of the spare guest room of the castle, he couldn't fully heal her. There's a limit to how much his angelic powers could do, it can't reverse the damage heaven themselves have done to her. Thankfully, he managed to fix all broken bones and close the wounds she had received but he can't fix the trauma she'll receive from this. Believe him, he tried (with himself).
His hand caressed away the hair that was falling on her face, finally taking a good look on her. She looked more beautiful without those wounds, she looked better without the stress—a contrast to the first time he's seen her. Warmth flooding his cheeks, he doesn't even realize that the red of his cheeks has become significantly darker.
“Ah, Lucifer stop. You don't even know this woman,” Lucifer mutters in annoyance as he squeezes his own cheeks to stop the warmth before eventually leaving the guest room to continue his usual routine.
He's starting to get worried, the fallen angel that currently resides in his guest room still hasn't woken up. It's been eight days. He spent the entire week checking up on her and continuing to treat her, he admits that this unknown angel's presence did good to his mental health as he was busy worrying for her that he forgets to listen to his intrusive thoughts. “What am I going to do with you?” Lucifer mutters softly as he places his hands above her, hovering over her body as golden hue begins to glow. Slowly and surely healing her.
Aching pain in her muscles is what she felt, slowly regaining consciousness. [Y/n] woke up in an unfamiliar room, oddly reminds her of the rooms that only royalty have. She tried to move her muscles but she could feel it cracking from not moving for a long time. “What happened...?” she asked herself softly, trying to remember what happened. The trial, Sera's anger, Adam being annoying, falling, her wings, then crashing. “Where am I?” she asked herself again, her voice croaking slightly, she slowly moved her body so she could sit on the bed, her eyes wandering everywhere, taking in her surroundings. She noticed that the symbol apple and snake was present on the designs of the tinted windows. The door opens.
Another week has passed, still no sign of her waking up. Lucifer was walking towards the guest room, preparing himself to try to heal her again. He opens the door and he froze to see the fallen angel who's usually lying limp on the bed is now sitting and staring on the window. “You're awake.” he says softly and she turned to look at him, her eyes, it's so beautiful. “Who are you?” she asked him softly and he smiled, “The name's Lucifer Morningstar, welcome to hell.”

the spider - l.m.
Liam Mairi x reader When you find an uninvited guest in your room, you find yourself knocking on Liam's door to ask him for help. words: 861 🏷: no book spoilers at all, just fluff! mentions of spiders but nothing too detailed (mild arachnophobe here) and Liam handles it for you 🥰 reader is referred to as a girl once, but no pronouns used. this was originally going to be for someone else, but I realized I haven't fed the Liam lovers in a while, so here you go!
“I need you,” you blurt as soon as Liam opens his door.
He blinks, thoroughly confused. “What?”
You take a breath and try again. “There is a ginormous spider in my room and I need you to do something about it. Please.”
“And I was the first person you thought of?” he asks, raising an eyebrow. He has a point — you hardly know each other.
“You’re my neighbor, so yeah, you were,” you answer, your cheeks warming. “Please, Liam?”
He doesn’t think you’ve called him by his first name, ever. To hear you whining it as you blink up at him, pleading…
“Before it crawls into my bed or something,” you add urgently, shuddering at the thought.
“Well, we can’t have that,” he says with a soft laugh. “Lead the way.”
He knows where your room is, knows you’re right across the hall, but he still trails a few paces behind as you make the incredibly short walk over.
You unlock the door and usher him inside, remaining out in the hallway.
He steps forward, taking it in; he’s caught glimpses over your shoulder, but never set foot inside.
It looks… lived in. There’s a pile of boots by the door, tonight’s homework and yesterday’s notes spread over the desk, and he could swear that’s a romance novel on your nightstand — you’re almost finished with it, judging by the location of the scrap of colorful parchment you’re using as a bookmark.
The bed is unmade, blankets pulled back as if you’d just gotten out of it. A small stuffed dragon sits on your pillow, a soft green thing that looks remarkably like Blythe.
And everything about this room smells like you, soft and sweet — he’s never figured out how you manage to do that, to smell so good when everyone in this entire school uses plain unscented soap.
His eyes finally catch on the intruder. It’s an ugly little fucker, but nothing to write home about, just a harmless garden variety.
“You know, it’s probably more afraid of you than you are of it,” he says with a glance over his shoulder.
“I highly doubt that,” you huff. “There is no reason why anything on Amari’s green earth should have that many legs. It’s damn creepy. Can you just smush it, please?”
“That’s a fair point. But it’s too big, if I smush it you’re gonna have spider juice on your wall.”
You wrinkle your nose. “Ew, okay, fine, um. There’s paper on the desk, and an empty cup.”
“See, you have the tools,” he begins, grabbing the aforementioned supplies, “you just need to take the leap and follow through with it.”
“No, thank you,” you reply from the corner of the room you’ve pressed yourself into, as far away from the thing as you can get. “I’ve faced enough of my fears this year already. This one is gonna have to wait.”
“Understandable,” he acknowledges, trapping it inside the cup and sliding the paper overtop it.
You give him plenty of space as he walks out the door, not leaving the corner until he returns a few minutes later.
He holds up the paper silently, showing you the front and back, and flips the cup upside down, shaking it to prove that the spider is, in fact, gone.
“Where did you put it?” you ask, still paranoid.
“In the bushes, as far from your room as possible. Clear across the courtyard.”
“Thank you,” you say quietly.
He sets the paper and mug back on the desk where he found them, looking back at you.
You pull him into a loose hug, wrapping him in that lovely scent — orange blossoms and vanilla, he decides. It’s intoxicating.
“Thank you,“ you say quietly. “For dealing with it, and for not thinking it’s dumb or making fun of me.”
He falters for a moment, but quickly brings a hand up to rest on your back. “I’d never make fun of you. And it’s no problem, really.”
You realize you’ve never so much as shaken his hand before. You pull away quickly, embarrassed. “I’m sorry, that was… forward of me,” you manage.
He laughs softly. “It’s okay. Come get me if any of its friends show up. I’ll give them a talking to.”
You can’t help but smile. “Thank you, Liam.”
There you go again, saying his name and making him feel things.
He offers you a soft smile that nearly brings you to your knees. “Goodnight, pretty girl.”
“Goodnight,” you breathe, shutting the door after he’s back in his own room.
“He thinks I’m pretty,” you whisper aloud, smiling.
“Of course he does,” Blythe says, amused.
You jump. “What have I told you about eavesdropping?”
She sounds like she’s rolling her eyes. “And what have I told you about broadcasting your every thought to me?”
You sigh, conceding. “I’m still working on that. I’m sorry.”
“All in good time, soft one. All in good time.”
You kick off your boots, flopping down onto your bed with a sigh and picking up your book again, but you’ve lost interest. Knights in shining armor be damned; all you can think about right now is Liam.

How do you think the Cullens would act around a disinterested crush? Maybe they're fated but reader isn't having it lol
(I love your twilight writing btw thank God someone is still doing it 🤤🤤)
ah it has been many moons since I've gotten a twilight request yay!
Cullen Clan Reacting To Their Crush Being Disinterested In Them
Carlisle Cullen
Being alive for just over 400 years tends to give one a good perspective on life and the bigger picture, and Carlisle sure has a pretty good idea of how all things pan out. So you're not interested in him? That's fine, Carlisle can wait for as long as you need to change your mind.
In the meantime, Carlisle will continue to maintain your friendship and continue to show just how hard he's worked to become the kind caring father figure he is. He knows you'll fall for him, eventually.
Esme Cullen
Obviously, she's not going to stop caring about you just because you don't return her feelings. But she might switch up how she shows her affection.
Rather than flirty winks and suspiciously candle-lit wine tastings, she'll back up to more traditionally motherly affections. Making sure you're eating right, baking cookies, etc. And of course, giving you homemade soup when you're sick is still one of her favourite things to do, no need to stop now.
Edward Cullen
Of course, you're not interested, how could anyone love a monster like him? Who did he think he was, thinking he was worthy of your love? Or so his inner monologue goes.
But it's really not that dramatic, it almost never is, Edward just sprung his crush on you suddenly and it caught you off guard. It was largely the excessively long preamble about how he was an irredeemable murderer that put you off first, but of course, he won't realise that until considerably later.
Rosalie Hale
She's a little relieved actually. All her mortal and immortal life, Rosalie has been aggressively pursued by people she wasn't particularly interested in, so the fact that she can crush on someone who isn't really that interested is a wonderful change of pace.
For the first time ever, Rosalie has butterflies in her stomach, she fumbles with her words when she speaks to you, and she feels like a silly, mortal teenage girl again, begging her mother to let her go to the dance just so she can sneak away to catch a glimpse of someone just like you.
Emmett Cullen
You and Emmett had been good friends for a while so when he casually drops a blissful "We should get married" into the conversation, you initially choke on your drink in laughter.
Emmett's a little heartbroken that you'd laugh at something like that, considering that he was being 100% serious. But since you've known him, the both of you have been constantly cracking up jokes, trying to get on each other's nerves, so no wonder you thought this was another one of his pranks. He decides to take this reaction as a blessing, you have no idea he's actually into you, now he knows he has to work out a different way to confess his feelings for you.
Alice Cullen
She's a little confused obviously, having multiple visions of the two of you in a romantic relationship kind of gave her the impression that it might've been going to come true, but your disinterest says something else altogether.
But the worst part is that those damn visions of you and her together keep coming back, taunting her, luring her in deeper to despair with the thoughts of what might be. It's all getting so intense, so she decides to skip town for a bit, see if that changes anything, or at least helps her clear her head.
Jasper Hale
Oh well, so you're not interested in a romantic relationship, so what? Doesn't mean you can't still be friends. Doesn't mean he can't be the charming Southern gentleman he is. Doesn't mean he can't still pull out chairs or open doors for you. Or send anonymous bouquets to your house. Or leave your favourite snacks in your locker when you're having a rough day. Of course not.
It doesn't mean he can't worry about other people who might want to date you. Doesn't mean he can't scare off people who'd be bad for you. I mean, what else are friends for?
