You know, it would be amazing if Hollywood learned the right lesson from the success of Nimona. if you genuinely think dan is being out of touch/hypocritical/whatever for being politically left wing and also having money/privilege, please read this

this is exactly the same as saying that men can't be feminists, white ppl can't be antiracist etc. just bc you're privileged by a system it doesn't mean you can't criticize it. in fact, you should criticize it, bc 1- ppl in power are more likely to listen to you and actually change something and 2- the more you educate ppl about the problems, the more ppl join the cause

also, when we think about who really benefits from capitalism, it's not ppl like dan and phil. if they stopped working tomorrow, they wouldn't have infinite money that they don't ever have to think about for the rest of their lives. they don't have an amount of money that could solve world hunger, climate change, poverty and every other fucking problem

i just feel like if you were on abbot’s night shift crew it would be so romantic. in your face, who cares what everyone else sees or thinks, favoritism be damned, romantic. i just don’t see any way around it—there is no way your usual subordinate/attending relationship continues like normal. he would be so incredibly attuned to your wants and needs. dropping off a snack to the computer where you’re sitting doing notes in between patients. bringing fresh coffee when your cup is empty. keeps an extra pen with him because he knows you forget to replace yours when the ink runs out and that you take a lot of notes, enough that your pen runs dry frequently enough. a forehead kiss after a particularly difficult loss or a hug after an exceedingly angry patient. out of eye shot—sometimes. two-am check ins if he’s been busy in the trauma bay while you’re still tending to the chairs. “did you eat yet?” and “have you sat down?” loud enough that the nurses overhear, that your co-residents have something to poke fun at you for. but jack doesn’t care, not as long as you did, in fact, eat and sit down tonight.

Warriors and Wild are LITERALLY child soldiers, Sky is in middle school (and is more than happy to travel as it means he has less homework to do…)

Four is still as short as he is in the comic. Also much to Sky’s dismay Four basically becomes his teacher so he doesn’t fall behind in his studies.

Wind finally can legally drink…. He’s the wine aunt. He’s a nut case. The kids love him. He and Time were babysitting Warriors during the WAR and they’re both still mad they put a like, 9 year old into a war.

Time is freshly married…. He’s as bad (if not worse) then Sky ever could be when it comes to being lovey dovey.

Legend is mad he has to go on another adventure after he’s been comfortably retired for a decade. He becomes the new old man, despite Rulie being older…. And btw Hyrule is still his little brother.

Hyrule is aging wonderfully much to everyone’s surprise. He looks 25. He still can’t read btw but he has mastered life in the wilderness. He is like a mountain lion, he can hide behind anything and sneak anywhere now. Give him a leaf and he’ll find a way to hide behind it and you’ll never see him….

They would’ve never found Hyrule if they didn’t have Warriors and Wild with them, and even then them finding Hyrule was more so Hyrule allowing them to find him so he could check on the kids.

Hiatus for 'Party Games and Summer Evenings' Announcement

Hi guys! I have some semi-bad news for you all. Basically, I've been doing a lot of reflecting recently, and I've come to the conclusion that I need to put 'Party Games and Summer Evenings' on a short hiatus. I've updated the tags and included the reasoning in the end notes of the fic, which you can read here:

So yeah, basically, the gist is that I love this fic, I love the concept and setup, but I just need a short break (from this story specifically!). I've only ever written Shadow one way, and it feels like I'm going through the motions. This being a spiritual successor to 'Silly Hats and Party Favors' and me cranking out 'Couch Crashers, Bed Bashers' less than a month ago while also writing this fic certainly didn't help lol

It's not being abandoned or orphaned. Nothing on my account will be, I intend to finish everything I start. I'm just going to switch gears and write a vastly different Shadow to keep things feeling fresh and fun, and then once I feel ready I'll be back for this one.

The silver lining of this is that I'll be attempting to publish a new Shadow POV fic soon, potentially even this weekend if the words are flowing. At the very least 'From the Shadows of the Deep' will see it's next chapter this weekend haha, so yep! Sorry again for any disappointment, and I appreciate everyone's understanding and patience!
