🎧 Do you listen to audiobooks? What are some of your faves to recommend? Or, what are you currently listening to, or recently listened to?? . . . Happy Wednesday, Bookworms! Are you a fan of audiobooks? It’s no secret that I LOVE them. I basically have very little time to sit and read anymore, (and when I do I end up falling asleep, 🤦🏻‍♀️), so audiobooks are about the only reading I am getting done lately. Which is perfect for me, since I can listen while I do errands or chores, and since I’m having to drive around so much lately, I can listen while I’m driving. I’ve also started walking the track again while I wait for my son to finish his classes, and it’s so great to go for a walk with just my audiobooks to keep me company. 🥰 Some of my favorite audiobooks to recommend are the *Illuminae Files* audiobooks and the HP audiobooks. They were the ones that got me hooked on listening. I am currently listening to the *Percy Jackson* and *Trials of Apollo* series on audio, and those are fantastic as well. And, of course, I’ve been working my way through the audio for *The Lost Book of the White*, which is narrated by BD Wong, and it’s so good. 🥰 ... Annnnnnnd I’m rambling. 🤣 ... What about you guys? (Don't mind my poor art attempt attached above. Made with ppt + paint, I thought my post might need a company. ^o^) There are plenty of lines and quotes that I consider my favorite from TRSOM but if you ask me about my favorite scene, definitely Chapter 29.

The Fool's Knight

This scene made me almost scold myself for feeling nervous and doubtful if Alec would succeed on finding the real Magnus. Then I remember, that was only their first vacation as a couple! As they were in the stage of getting to know each other, he can't be blamed if he failed. Yet the thing is, he actually succeeded! He knew which one was Magnus. He knew something that can make Magnus stand out despite being tricked into seeing different versions of him. And that's because of love. It reminded me that perhaps when you love someone, the things they do unaware are those that really stick to your mind. Particularly those out of goodness. To think that Alec recognized Magnus because he didn't attack Shinyun despite having the weapon and dropping it when he's on the verge of death! Perhaps, illusion cannot deceive love, nor can it capture virtue. Malec has receipts! I will always treasure TRSOM for showing us their fabulous but chaotic first vacation, for melting my heart despite the coldness they would face upon returning to New York, and for reminding me to never give up on love. (Not that I have anyone in mind, but who knows. ;] ) Bonus reason #1: Alec is in a hero mode! Just like at Orient Express. Bonus reason #2: I like it when bad guys like that Bernard idiot are proven wrong whenever they're underestimating the protagonist. Very wrong move. I hope he rots in the hands of the Clave.

I stumbled upon this beauty in Waterstones when I needed to exchange books. I would have misses it had it not been for the buy one get one half priced deal it was included in!

I have joined this universe at the end, but I feel like I could be satisfied with just this - a rare feeling for a reader.

The romance kept me engaged from page one to page 350 (yes I read acknowledgements). But the action was also thrilling.

I loved it and give it a 4.5/5 ❤

Haline= Helen+Aline 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻 It would be unfair to talk about 'The Red Scrolls of Magic' without at the very least mentioning Haline. One of the best LGBTQ+ couples in the whole series. They shine in both 'Queen of Air and Darkness' and 'The Red Scrolls of Magic.' No matter which book they show up in, they always make the book better with their love and devotion to each other. And also, Aline's humor. She is so damn hilarious. They are one of the best yet most underrated couples in The Shadowhunter Chronicles. The love that they have for each other is so beautiful and always drives me to tears. The way Aline stands up for Helen and Helen's support of Aline is so touching. Even their marriage was perfect.
